Andy, David and the other mechanic (sorry, didnt get his name) who helped us and got our car up and running again after an attempted theft were outstanding! We felt like they actually cared about us and our situation with the car. They did everything in their power to expedite the process and were very friendly and highly communicative with us through every step! I would very strongly recommend this shop as reliable, honest and more than helpful!

Honest auto repair shop. David is affable and efficient. My car was ready to go in less than two hours. David checked out my car post possible rodent problem after the Toyota dealership auto shop advised me to contact my insurance company because it would likely cost thousands of dollars to inspect the car. David inspected as best he could and did not find evidence of rodent infestation. I left with less than $200 bill. Highly recommend. Will be headed there for future auto maintenance.

I brought in my car with an unknown electrical problem. David and the guys did a thorough inspection and figured out the problem was my alternator. They were able to get me back on the road and the cost was very reasonable. I will definitely return to them for any future repairs and highly recommend them. A good, trustworthy mechanic is hard to find.

Came in for an oil change. Only took about 45 minutes. They used my specific synthetic blend oil, changed my oil filter and sent me on my way. Love this place! They always take good care of me and I always feel like they don’t over charge and help me budget my way through my car challenges.

Ive brought my old jeep to them several times over the last few years and theyve been consistently great every time. Due to the age of my car, a lot of patience and troubleshooting is usually necessary to hunt down the problem and AACC is always thorough and timely with their work. They are always polite and talk to me in a way I understand what my cars problem is and how to fix it. We have a 1967 Mustang that needed a lot of body work and new paint. Ive been taking my cars to Alameda Auto Center for about 20 years (except when my new Subaru was still under warranty - I went to the Subaru dealership). David and Andy are both very approachable and have explained issues with my cars clearly and never pressured me to get work done by them. They are professional and very reliable. They are a little pricier than some other auto repair shops but the reliability and quality of work is well worth it. I highly recommend them.

My vehicle was erroneously towed to this shop instead of the one I had requested. The guy here impersonated my normal shops owner and told the towing company to store my car until they could get to it.Now Ive been dealing with days of getting my car out of storage and to the correct shop. I have been taking my car to David and Alameda Auto Care Center for years, and trust that they will give me the best price for the services provided, and do a great job. Due to the large number of catalytic converter thefts in Alameda recently, and to a neighbor telling us that he saw a man in our back yard in the middle of the night last week, I knew I needed to protect my Prius. I called David, and was able ot bring the car in the next day to have this work done. I did call other places recommended on Next Door due to the quickness of their work and wanted this done as fast as possible...and in the end David was able to do it at a price that was in line with the other places, and he did it the next day while the others were quoting days to weeks before they could take me. David and Andy run their shop based on this very simple, yet often overlooked principal: prompt, genuine, professional service. They are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced- you can believe they will properly diagnose your vehicle’s problem(s) and fix it/them for a price that is fair (and well below a dealership!). I’ve been taking my 2004 Nissan Xterra to them for years - scheduled maintenance, squeaky brakes, and a few other things you can expect in a 14-year old car. Several times I have taken my car in for a sound and wasn’t charged one dime when they didn’t find anything wrong! They send text reminders for service and even give $ off your next service. I have never been told “Call and make an appointment, we are too busy this week” and I appreciate that most.

These guys do a great job and at the best prices. I got a new alternator installed by them, no problems. I buy my oil and oil filter and they change my oil for $25. Oil Changers charges me $50 for the same job. Come here for pretty much all your car needs.

I have always DIY’ed maintenance on my cars and was taught at a young age to not trust auto mechanics. I finally crossed a line in life where I don’t have the time, and can afford it, and took the leap. AC Delco partner and strong reviews gave me confidence. I brought my (well-maintained) Chevy with an active check engine light to Alameda Auto Care. I knew what was wrong, what needed to be done, as well as most (not all) other preventive items I should address while doing that particular job. They called me with one more suggestion for a gasket to replace while in there. It was a no brainer, as someone who has high standards. The repair really exceeded expectations, and they addressed an issue (loose exhaust manifold nuts), at no charge, that had been driving me crazy for years. A week later I am still in awe at how pleased I am with their work. This seems like how having your car serviced is supposed to feel!

I brought my car in for get my steering wheel fluid tube fixed because it had been leaking and they had told me that it would cost about $300. When I brought my car in David had told me that there was another tube that was leaking and told me that it would cost me about $700 instead of the $300 because now that theres two leaks that needed to be fixed. The actually told me exact amount everytime, I just cant remember or have the paper right now, so Im just rounding it up. They told me that my car could stay with them with no addtional cost until the parts came for them to fix it. My car was there for about a week. I really liked how David kept calling me to keep me updated with my car. Price is a little bit expensive but for mechanic and since there was two things that needed to be fixed it made it reasonable. They did a good job with my car, Its not leaking anymore. Also, liked how he contacted me on how my car was doing afterwards.Thank you David! 😄

The is by far the best Auto shop Ive been to. Ive never had any trouble with my cars after service. I brought in an old chevy they ran through its paces for me before I bought it- they gave me an honest opinion. David and Andy are good people, polite even when. they are busy which is a lot of the time, they are skilled, knowledgeable and honest. Call to. check for best time, or drop by they can schedule a time. I dont see their prices over the norm. I highly recommend their Shop. While youre waiting if its a quick fix, theres all of park st for food, drink, cvs and Valero Gas across the street. If you cant find a place to park at their garage, park best you can and theyll advise you further. Im bringing in my mothers old car soon, knowing it will get the service it needs.

Andy/David and his entire team are very dedicated to their craft. They are consultative, patient, and cover all possible alternatives as best as they can before you commit to a job or give them the green light to work on your car. They endure all costs and potential costs & repairs are covered in advance. They go above and beyond the minimum and will work with you i.e. they may replace fluids and do minor touch ups etc if the bill is a substantial amount. They’ll cut u a break as best as they can. Alameda Auto Care Center was one of the few places open on Saturday in Alameda. My car broke down on Friday night.
