I absolutely love this vet! I just started coming here a few months ago and I’m so glad I decided to come here. I have 3 pups and they all have their different personalities.1. Von, he is my biggest boy, he is a German Shepherd Rottweiler Mix. He is nervous when it comes to meeting new people but he has never bitten anyone. But just in case I muzzle him. Unlike the other vet I went to, who would approach him very fast (even though I have told them multiple times to not do that) and when Von begins to freak out the doctor would just say my dog is aggressive. The other vet did NOT care for how Von felt and Von was always so uncomfortable going there and I wouldn’t blame him. But here I can already tell he is more comfortable. The doctor and her staff were gentle with him and took their time with him.2. My little one, Kanan, he is a Silk Terrier. He has always been very anxious when going to the vet. At the other vet for no reason would muzzle him because the doctor there was too scared of getting bit. But here they made him comfortable and the staff handled him very gently.3. My little menace, Reina, she is a German Shepherd. She is dog reactive due to her being attracted pretty badly when she was a puppy. At the other vet they did not care about that information but instead made her go through the stress of being around other dogs on leashes. Here once I let them know about it, they make sure she is not around other dogs to not stress her out or for her not to react.I am so glad I have found this new vet! The staff is amazing and so is the doctor. They are so gentle with all pups and you can clearly tell that they love all pups like their own!

This place is really good. The staff is really nice. I came in as a walk in they attended my dog very kindly. The initial price was around 500$ but they took off optional things my dog didnt really need which brought down the price. I had a very good experience very nice people. My dog is good now his infection went away with the help of the medication they prescribed and hes back to his old energetic self. (Heres pictures of him in the vet and after he came back home from the vet) [3years ago in 2019]

This was my vet. I loved this place!! When Dr. Gipson retired and his receptionist left, It was not the same. Employees showing favoritism to other customers I had been there waiting someone walks in speaks to employee in Spanish then they go in right away. This happened twice before we left. I took my business to California Veterinary Hospital in Gardena been there ever since. Dr. Gipson was a great vet. I am so sorry he left but glad he needed to retire

Our vet is Dr. Neil she is very thorough. My sisters all bring their dogs here we are bringing out kitten Neo for the first time. Dr Neil was very gentle and we got all his work done.

Wow, what an experience for my daughter today. Being only one person is allowed in the room, the staff was very accommodating in letting my 9 year old to be with Tyson. My daughter felt so grown up. Dr. Brittany Neal was excellent, and took her time when conversing about our pup. I highly recommend this place for your furry family members. Staff and doctor were very friendly,came here for a second opinion and I was not disappointed. Appointments are necessary but make the visits easy and quick. My dog got the attention she needed and was taken care of asap, which I appreciated. All my questions were answered and explained. It was also a lot more affordable than other clinics. It was nice and clean which is a big deal. They give you options and let you know what youre paying for. This will be my new favorite clinic to take my senior dog.

I have not visited this animal hospital (yet). However it was one of the only ones open at the time. So I called and explained what was happening with my dog.She said that I needed to take my dog to an ER right away. When I told her I did not know of one. She said dont worry I will text you the closes one to you right now. Which she immediately did. She was very kind, compassionate and caring. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately I did not get her name. But thanks to her my little dog got the treatment that was needed and doing much better. Thank u Alameda Animal Hospital. 🙂

****UPDATE****Dr. Neal and her team have been MAGNIFICENT!So heres what happened. Since my last review 3 years ago, my dear dog Jessie had a tumor so large that we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. Dr. Neal and her team helped me through that heartbreaking ordeal. I was allowed to stay with my dear Jessie before and after her passing as long as I needed to. They didnt rush me or make light in any way of my circumstance. For that, I am in forever grateful. We had Jessie for 17 years. She will be our first and forever. But...EXACTLY 2 weeks later, we lost our second dog to a ruptured spleen. I had taken my dear Bella in for an examination because she just wasnt acting her rambunctious self. Dr. Neal ordered a blood panel to determined what, if anything was wrong. I must say that I am glad that the tests and results are done in-house. We didnt have to wait more than a few minutes for the lab results to come back. The results showed that Bella was making red blood cells as fast as she could to counteract what else was going on. Dr. Neal ordered a ultrasound to be taken at a facility who could operate on her if needed. I was to take Bella that next morning...Bella died that night...Again, we were heartbroken...And again, Dr. Neals staff properly cared for Bellas remains and I ordered paw prints of both Jessie & Bella which came in a timely manner.Our hearts are empty without pets so we found a beautiful litter of GS pups. I had been showing Dr. Neal pictures of them as they grew and we now have welcomed Edie & Sammy to our family and Dr. Neal is giving them the utmost care! I just love her and her staff...and my new PUPPIES!Dr. Gibson was our vet for many years. He sold the practice and we were disappointed to lose him. We didnt know where to go our who we can trust with our dogs health. But our dog got so sick that we HAD to take her in. I called the vet and came in on a Wednesday and to my heart and pleasant surprise, Dr. Gibson opened the door and welcomed us!!! As it turns out, he works there one day a week (on Wednesdays). We were so happy to have our doctor back! My dog needed an operation to correct a bladder problem and she is on the mend. Im so happy Dr. Gibson is there. As for the management staff, I must say that Jason, who manages the front desk, is very good and nice. The young lady who took my cc info, misspelled my name on the bill, even though its on the cc. But Jason made the necessary corrections and all is well again.

I take both my dogs here and its been great so Ive recommended to family and friends. I swear every time they go something goes wrong. Like today 10/3/23 my cousin took her dog to get fixed, was quoted 250 and scheduled both her pups but now was told its 425 the day of surgery. She has 2 dogs scheduled so that price increase is insane. After confirming they did quote at 250 (literally checked the cameras) they still said that price is for 1 dog and the other surgery is still 425. Honestly so upsetting, will not recommend to anyone again. Will start researching somewhere else for my girls too if these random price increases become the norm.

I like the food however this is not the typical restaurant where you will select top notch service. Be proper to not be welcoming by the waiters [unless they change her] aside from that food is good and also if you are paying in dollars be prepared to pay the lowest amount of exchange. Is better for you to bring Mexican pesos instead go dollars. Otherwise you will be paying at least a buck less of what the current exchange. Don’t really like that as if you don’t have Mexican pesos they will literally will take advantage of yourDollars 😅

Professional staff and very transparent pricing policies. The vet explains the nice to have vs need to have care products and options, and the receptionists are always kind and caring. Prices are much better than other vets in the area.

Quick and friendly and caring service from the staff who walked me through the entire process. Only thing I didnt like is that a staff member walked in and interrupted by giving us the bill when my daughter and I were spending some grieving time alone with our cat. That could have waited. Aside from that, service was appreciated. Thank you.

It might be a good hospital, but it looks really run down from the outside. I called and some lady answered and told me its open. I went a few minutes (5) after hanging up the call and then everything was closed and no one answered the phone. I told her i was down the street looking for parking.I wont be going back. I got a really bad vibe when i looked around at the building and didnt feel like trusting my pet to their care by the poor outside conditions. Good luck to them and their business. Give it a try if you need to but i wont. Have a good day.

I really like that they gave a same day appointment the waiting time was great less than 30 min. the doctor and nurses were very attentive and considerate with my pets needs. They made the process painless as possible and the medication they prescribed really help alleviate my pets pain and discomfort.

Feels like they’re only and all about money and feels like they’ve been using dishonest tactics to bleed money from pet owners.Staff who answers phone (when they actually answer) seems to purposely take wrong information, send wrong information, or simply ignores requests. The past few years since they’ve made changes, they seem to have gone downhill professionally and just the genuine care and concern is no more. When there was just one front desk attendant years ago, she was always on it, honest, and not just concerned about the pets but also ensuring the pet owner is given ALL options and information upfront and not trying to “upsell”.

I called to get basic information and I was placed on hold for 20 mins. So I walked inside while still on the phone. The receptionist wasnt on a call. I stated I was waiting on hold and she looked at the phone as if she forgot anyone was even waiting. There was 1 person in the lobby. Terrible customer service and no excuse for that. My dog had an open would and she expected me to wait a week until the vet returned ...smh do better

Brought dog in for injured eye and was informed that she may need to have it removed. Dr Neal offered alternate treatment that worked and my dog has both eyes still, not showing any signs of discomfort. The treatment was effective and less expensive than surgery. Support staff were also helpful, explaining details and providing phone reminders. Overall great experience. The people seem to genuinely care about the animals, not just $$$.Thank you !!

The staff is friendly here, the doctor is wonderful. She is professional and informative. She has treated two of my pets and I am quite pleased with her. The staff calls you with appointment reminders. The hospital is clean and fresh smelling. Free parking is available in the lot behind facility. I recommend this vet for quality service.

What a wonderful experience my Pomeranian and I had. I didn’t have an appointment. Not only did they make the time to examine my dog, they didn’t rush through the exam. I’m so happy with the new staff. I’ve been coming here for a little over 9 years. Front desk staff is welcoming, friendly, and engaging. This is important as it sets the tone for the visit. The vet spent time asking very good questions about my dog during the examination. She was very thorough, made a couple of suggestions but NEVER applied any pressure to take those recommendations. In all the dozens of years I’ve taken my dogs to vets, this experience reigns supreme and I’m talking 40+ years of vet visits. Thank you for patiently answering all my questions and for the stellar service you and your staff provided. If you’re looking for a great vet, please give this place a try. They know their stuff. This was not the typical trip to the vet I’ve had many, many times before with my pets over the years. This was an experience—I left with more education about nutrition, prevention, treatment and overall well being of my precious dog. It’s nice to have people talk to you instead of shoving a metric butt ton of brochures in your face. I don’t live nearby but it’s well worth the trip to receive excellent service. Thank you.

AWFUL!! I have been a 15 year plus customer and used to like the service and vet. Used to recommend friends and family. Felt it was more about the pet and the former staff cared. The new management took over the service dropped tremendously. Even pre-covid they were hard to work with appointments. The vet is constantly not in or at long lunches. The staff is unprofessional. They won’t work with you. Want to send every dog to urgent care because they have no walk ins or same day appointments. I’m already looking for a different vet. Raised there prices by a large margin. They try to convince you to run unnecessary tests to get more money out of you. If you love you pet take him somewhere else.

Ive been taking my dog(s) here since their puphood and I can say I am satisfied with their service, friendliness and over all willing to help. My dog absolutely loves the people who saved him. Now one year ago from now Its time to move on hence I moved else where, called to see if they could email me my dogs vaccinations and rabies certification, which was immediately sent.As long as you communicate with them well you shouldnt have a problem. Its a pet clinic, they fight to save other peoples pets everyday - its not an easy job!

Under new management. Their service has declined tremendously. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. I’ve recommended several friends and family, some whom tried since the new management and decided to go elsewhere. It’s convenient for me so I’m trying to give the new management time to improve. The new admin and receptionist are not pet or customer friendly. I’m here now and called 3 times to finally get a response and appt. I will give it a few more visits and hope for improvement. Otherwise will have to look for a new vet.

Dr. Brittany Neal very much cares for these animals and their owners. Prices are still reasonable. And now they use technology (diagrams, data) to show more in depth the health of your animal after a blood test which is neat. The new design done to the hospital is refreshing.

Alameda Animal Hospital is a great local vet for small animals. The front waiting room is nice and clean. The front office staff are nice and friendly. In addition, the young vet doctor is very friendly and knowledge. She gives you great information about the animals healthcare. Furthermore, once you make appointment you with receive a text message reminder a day before your appointment, or will call you personally if need to reschedule appointment.

A very beautiful experience I had, recently took in my dog in to be put down and they did not rush they did not push they did everything to help, usually animal clinic smell and look bad but not this place it smelled very nice and was very clean and nice. The staff was very nice and I dont think the price is to much actually they where cheaper then the other places I looked around, Id recommend this place.

The staff at Alameda Hospital is AMAZING! My mother and grandmother has gone there for years. After relocating from Houston my dog became very sick. She suffers from reoccurring UTIs and had been having some digestive issues. There was a new Dr. there named Dr. Brittany. she took such good care of my fur baby and helped me come up with a long term health plan to keep my dog stabilized. The staff was very friendly and has since assisted me with any questions I have regarding my dog. There is no greater feeling than someone taking good care of your pet and knowing you can trust them with your pet!GREAT JOB GUYS, thank you for everything!

I brought my Chihuahua in an emergency with her right eye popped out and needed urgent care the Dr. had a full house and attended my dog right away and managed to re insert the eye back. The surgery was not overpriced. Wont post any photos to graphic but shes recovered and is ok.

Took my two cats to confirm if they were pregnant or not and the doctor couldnt figure out if there were even though shes a doctor and said we needed to pay for a tester for 190 each! So I declined because that is too expensive and then I later on over heard the nurses talking about my cats saying that they were pregnant, meaning that the doctor did know they were pregnant and was just trying to make us pay for nothing.

Went there with my lil dog who was in bad condition. 15 mins before closing didnt know what time they closed- refused me service unless I paid an additional $100 for after hours. I was like your still open NOW. If you would have seen my dog youd know that the people who work there are NOT animal lovers at all. Never going back!

Took my dog for first time, felt like the doctor could of advise the best treatment for my dog with her experience my dog had a hematoma due to ear infection, since I took him on saturday they have you pick which option do you want for treatment So picked the one they able to do on Saturday needle aspiration, next day came back, fluid of blood was almost the same as when I took him, I think she knew she mentioned it could possibility return, it return next day paid about $340 and then she recommended doing minor Surgery $546 2nd procedure it too expensive, she would just best treatment only would of paid once. Took my dog somewhere else the vetinarian of coarse the hematoma and blood would come back that wasnt the best treatment to doWont go there again .

I took my Pit bull in the day after Christmas a month ago today and I only took him in for a medical bath. An hpur later my dog was dead. They left him by himself and lied about being gone for a minute to translate for a customer that didnt psy yet. I paid for services. Devastated thst my fur baby is gone.
