Anything to do with car stereo, this is the place to go. My car was taken care of, and the customer service was outstanding. Tyler ensured I was well-educated before I was locked into anything, and we reviewed all the options possible. Unfortunately, the first system installed had a manufacturing defect. Still, Tyler went above and beyond in service and installed a new system with no trouble and without breaking the bank. I love my new system and will surely come back here—affordable and flawless installation. I highly recommend taking your business here.

I went in already frustrated knowing I had to spend money to replace my crappy factory alarm on my jeep. Tylers customer service and professionalism was way above expected. I felt I immediately came to the right place. His number one goal was to explain things in detail and provide HELP. And he did. With a smile and courtesy. Even had one of his customers compliment him while I was there. I ended up getting speakers because of how comfortable I was about this is going to be done right. This is the PLACE.

I had them install new speakers throughout my 2009 69 foot Sportsfisher. They also brought the old amplifier system into this century and installed a new central Bluetooth receiver so I can have music at 6 different stations. They did an excellent job and I couldn’t be happier.

I recently stopped in Al & Ed’s to get some price quotes for a new audio system in my new Truck. Tyler blew me away with his knowledge and passion for the products in the store. I decided to pull the trigger without visiting any other audio stores. Not only did Tyler get the right audio system for my truck, he was also able to squeeze me in a week later. Needless to say I’m very impressed with Al & Ed’s and absolutely love the service and honesty thot I was given while visiting their location. 6 out 5 stars from me. Went in to Al & Eds this weekend to get a new stereo system installed. I spoke with Tyler, told him what the issues were with my old system. He looked at everything, gave me some options, and hooked me up with a fair price. Guy knew he stuff, and he wasnt trying to sell me on equipment I didnt need. You go into some of these audio shops and the guys are jerks, but these guys were professional. And they were quick, did quality work. Will go back again in the future. Thanks Tyler.

Went down to get a new backup camera installed the team was very knowledgeable with the product. It was installed quickly and during the install they noticed a loose cable under the dash and replaced it. I would recommend if you have questions and would like new electronics installed at a great price by a staff that cares go over to Al & Eds on Jackson Drive

These guys really impressed me. They are eager to exceed your expectations and are very knowledgeable about their trade. We had a new radio with touch screen and back up camera added to our 2005 Honda Element and I am so happy with the results. I was in the middle of a DIY project and hit a roadblock. I decided to call these guys and left a message explaining my issue. I received a call back from Tyler who was more than happy to spend a few moments of his time to help walk me through my issue over the phone even though I was NOT a customer. The fact that he was even willing to do that is a testament to his character. If you ever needed any sort of auto electrical work done, I wouldnt hesitate to head over to Al & Eds Autosound.

Al and Eds squoze me in when no one else would. My kids car alarm went haywire and would not turn off at all. I called around and no one could take us for another two or three weeks and there was no way that was gonna work. I called Al and Eds and left a msg. they called me back and said yes, we can help you. Best words I heard all day. I drove this dumb car almost 5 miles with the alarm going off the whole time and these wonderful folks fixed my car in two hours. I tell you if you’re looking for a team that knows compassion and empathy, these are the people. Please consider them when you are looking for high touch and personable service.

Tyler was awesome to work with; he took a look at my used Prius & my subwoofer and components from my old car, & helped me decide on the best options to maximize sound quality.He was able to install my old sub & amp, & helped me pick out the best components for my mids & highs within my budget range.I was able to get a fairly good price on service and parts considering the scale of the job that was done. Though they take their time, it is totally worth it, because they made sure to do the best possible job they can! It sounds great. How do you make a $140K Land Rover sound better than new? Take it to Al & Eds Autosound for a retrofit. We upgraded the components and even built a custom subwoofer enclosure. Now the band is in the truck with me! Crisp highs, excellent horns, vocals so real you wonder where in the truck the singer is! Let’ s talk about the tight drums and a solid bass performance. I don’t care if it is Jazz, Rock, Alternative, or Singer Songwriter, TURN IT UP! If you look behind my sunglasses you’ll see my eyes are set on the road, hands steering as needed. Apple Carplay is delivering another 2,158 songs in my playlist of favorites, I’ll stop at the Alaska highway unless the music stops before that….

Al n Eds far exceeded anything I ever imagined. I purchased a complicated sound system and most of the installation was custom built. It is the best system I have ever heard, and it is mine! Because of their meticulous attention to every detail, the work took longer than expected. And it was very much worth the wait. They seemed dedicated to make sure I was 100% satisfied, so Tyler threw in some very nice complimentary perks that I did not ask for. Overall great service, down to earth staff that will walk you through whatever you want to do with your car, great pricing, and highly professional installation, I came in with a 1985 Nissan 300ZX and they managed to make all the overhaul installations seem very natural, nothing sticking or mishaps. Did my old cars system here 5 years ago so i decided to come back because i had such great results. Yet again Im very happy. Tyler hooked me up with an awesome system. We walked step by step through what I wanted what we could do and I got the best system I could ask for. The installation took longer than expected due to issues getting the correct parts delivered but he stayed in contact and let me know what was happening. He hooked me up with upgrades due to the issue even though they werent his fault. He told me hed been really sick and had personal issues and he continued to stay in contact and work crazy hours and even after hours. The man was a trooper! I will be going back to get my windows tinted very soon!

Do not use this business. Something shady is going on here. I don’t understand these reviews. Left car there all day the first time and went at closing and they never installed anything. The guy Tyler reschedules for three weeks later telling me to come in at 9 and doesn’t show up until 1030. Other irate customers in there as well. Updated: Owner reached out and compensated me for lost time and frustration . He explained what he believed was going on and did his best to do right in the situation. I did not get any work done here in the end but I felt that they were going to get back on track and help their customers.

I cannot express my true gratitude for what their team or workers have done for me for my Mercedes. This is a company that truly goes above and beyond. My install for a new radio was done in a day, replaced my radio, fixed my back up camera and switched out my amplifier. Recently bought a travel trailer and my stock JBL system in my 2006 Tundra Limited wasnt going to cut it. I needed an upgrade!Looked around, talked to friends, read reviews and ultimately settled on Al and Eds in La Mesa. I was impressed with the professionalism, attention to customer and detail expressed in many of the reviews. Tyler and his crew are smooth audio professionals that know their equipment. The subs, amps, and processor are high quality for a very reasonable price. The subs produce amazing bass (no farting noises like low quality subs). The install was sleek and blended in effortlessly with my jeep. My mechanic referred me to Al & Eds in La Mesa to upgrade the sound system on my RV, and I am very glad they did. Tyler has been my main point of contact and he has been exceptional to work with.Al & Eds installed four new Alpine speakers, a 12 subwoofer, a couple new amps to power it all, and a new Stinger head unit. They also installed a Sonos Arc below the TV in the living area. All of the work was high quality and the system sounds amazing.After about six months, the sub stopped working and Tyler handled the situation very professionally and did all the warranty work for free and threw in an on/off switch as well. The team is clearly strong. Tyler leads them well and provides great customer service, which is exceedingly rare in businesses like this.

After researching all my local car audio businesses and reviewing customer reviews and ratings, I landed on Al & Ed’s Audio. I am so glad I did. Stopped in on a Saturday to get an audio upgrade quote for my wife’s 2020 Nissan Sentra for her birthday. Tyler was very helpful and knowledgeable. He appreciated that I acknowledged their customer ratings and thanked me for coming in. He understood my needs for the car and provided a killer upgrade package and price that didn’t come with a bunch of bull or a big upsell. Stopped in looking for a window tint shop. Never even went anywhere else. Tyler was professional, offered some options, and had my Jeep done in a few hours. Very good quality film and work with a warranty lifetime. You might find something cheaper, but I doubt you will get better quality or value remember.... you get what you pay for.

We have had many audio, alarm, and safety features added to our van over the past two and a half years. When we needed to get a software update on our security alarm locking system before we left on a travel trip, Tyler knew how important this was us and even though he was swamped with work he managed to get us in within a day. I did a lot of searching for the Right Car Audio Specialist to upgrade my 2016 CTS Cadillac, I finally decided to go to AL & EDs in La Mesa. I didnt want to change out the stock GM BOSE system, it was already pretty good to begin with. I hadnt been keeping up with Car Audio stuff for years, I was definitely out of the loop to how much tech has changed over the years.When I Spoke to Tayler and I explained that I didnt want crazy crazy bass sound system, but a sound system that had just a prefect acoustics and sound quality. Tayler Totally Knew what I was looking for.Once all the parts and pieces came in, I took the car to the La Mesa Shop and they had it for about 5 days maybe 4. First off the care that his techs have is absolutely the best!!! They are super clean and protect your car and its interior like nothing Ive ever seen. (They really take care of your car).Second, The Installation of all my components and where they hid everything was like it came from the GM Factory. Just perfect.When I got my car back and Tayler and His team showed me what had ben done, I was in completely SHOCK!!! They Tuned every speaker correctly to get the highs out of the highs, the Mids to get Mid Sounds and Lows to the Bass speaker, also Install 2 New 6x9 speakers in the back along with a small 10 inch woofer. (That doesnt even take up any truck space, Which was a big factor for me).I was so amazed on the quality of sound that was coming out of my sound system. Its amazing, all my friends are blown away by it.If you need to get a new system, Call them up. The customer service was the best! The Installation Team Is the Best!

Got two different cars done with alarm systems with automatic start function capability. Guys were great! Mostly worked with Robert. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Ive went to get a quote from pretty much every audio installer in san diego but Tyler here at Al and Eds won me over with his great price and amazing customer service. He will go to the ends of the earth to make sure your system is the one of your dreams. Had stereo installed in truck 9 days ago to be exact, happy with suggested stereo and sound. All was great the first two days after initial install, then we noticed a rattle inside dash, (was not present prior to install) we called left a voicemail indicating a rattle was now present, still waiting for call back, been several days since voicemail was left, rattle still present. These guys rock! They did a tricky fix on my backup camera quickly and for an amazingly reasonable price. They showed me what the problem was, explained how they were going to try to fix it, and were totally up-front about why it might not work. But it did, and Im stoked! They did good work but my windshield but my windshield was cracked when i got it back. At first they balked as far as replacing or repairing but Tyler came through and took care of it. Im glad cuz i like this place and i want to use in the future.

I have used Al&Eds for all of my car stereo needs for the last 20+ years. I hadnt visited them in about 10 years as the last system they installed for me in my 98 Mustang (Stereo, Satellite Antenna, Subwoofer and Amp) lasted that long. As with all electronics, my su woofer didnt seem to be hitting very hard anymore so I drove over and they checked and confirmed that the subwoofer had blown. I was there during a busy part of the day so I had figured that I would just do with basic sound for a while. The associate who was talking with me asked if I knew how to connect a new subwoofer and when I said yes, he said that he had a great speaker that would work well with my setup that I could install myself. I quickly agreed and he rang it up. I did have to make a return visit the following day, but only because the distance from the two sets of negative and positive ports was larger than on my previous sub and the same associate gave me enough cable to make the connection at no charge! I will continue to use Al&Eds and refer any of my friends.

Today my brother (who is here from out of town) had an appointment here to get his stereo/console replaced as it was no longer working. Unfortunately, the stereo he had already purchased there got cracked.The reason for my 5 star review is due to the efforts that Tyler Oder, Manager and his Tech Team made, to make this situation right. They called another store to get a comparable stereo (but it ended up being an upgrade), Tech Team picked it up immediately and installed it. It was actually done before the close of business, which the team, Tyler, my brother and myself were extremely grateful for, as its done prior to his road trip.Tyler, then sat in the car with my brother and went over all of the great features.Tyler, thank you for your great customer service and making things right.
