Dr. Patel‘s office is literally the best office I’ve ever been to. Dr. Patel is completely amazing, quick to address any issues I may have and takes his time to talk to me and really figure out what’s going on with me. Even his fellow doctors who work there have his same mannerism. The ladies that work in the front desk are absolute angels. They are hard-working, and fairy professional. You literally couldn’t ask for a better doctors office. I would recommend anyone who is dealing with chronic to this office! Thank you, Dr. Patel and crew for taking such great care of me.

This was my first appointment to address some pain Ive been having. The front staff was friendly, the waiting area was nice and clean. The check in process was easy and smooth.I was seen by Dr. Lee (I think that was his name?) He was very kind, patient and showed concern. He asked questions about my pain and where I was experiencing it. He was very thorough and explained everything that he was doing.Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend them.

All the staff were friendly, no exceptions. They always smile and attentive. The doctor, the technician and tgd medical assistant made me relaxed and comfortable especially on my first time getting my injection having no experience at all. I can’t complain because there is nothing to complain about. Wish all clinics are like this!

The receptionist staff at the front desk greeted me with a smile even though a patient before me wasnt quite kind to them when they were trying to assist them. The staff was still pleasant and continued to explain what was needed to be done for the appointment. I’m in a ton of pain due to a spinal cord malformation. I transferred care to this office with my change of insurance. I’m young and otherwise healthy, many MD’s don’t believe how much pain I’m in until they watch me cycle through my regular procedures and flairs. Here I was treated with respect and my situation was instantly taken seriously. A very smooth transition. I’ve had a few terrible pain specialists that have made me cry and feel helpless. Only here and UCI have I been taken care of and I feel safe.

Dr. Lee is great! Very nice and listens! And the girls at front desk are friendly and helpful!I was scheduled to have a phone appointment this morning but there was a problem because I had been switched to a different insurance company and Dr. Patels office had to get a new authorization before I could be seen. The girls at the front office were very diligent trying to get an approval so I can be seen and the approval barely came in the night before. Unfortunately my appointment was canceled but when I called, the girls did what they could to have it reinstated. Within 15 minutes they called me back with Dr. Lee ready to take my call for my appointment! I am so grateful to them! Thank you ladies, you are awesome! I give you 10 stars!!!

Great place doctor hears what I say about my pain I’ve had 6 hernia surgeries that have gone wrong medication helps me as much as I would love to not take it. It helps me function without pain. I’m able to be or as I want to say live normal with no pain .

Upon my visit today to find out Dr Patel gave me the wrong epidural in a previous visit, Dr LEE caught the mistake and administered the proper epidural injection. I sure hope I get the proper relief that Ive t hoping for. Dr LEE was awesome he took the time to asked me questions about my symptoms. He expressed to me to make sure I was in the rift hands. I felt really comfortable and relieved to have Dr Lee show his concerns. THANK YOU DR LEE 👍👍

The Dr always calls me on time and is very kind. If I miss my call I call the office and everyone was so helpful and the Dr called me right back. They are very helpful with all my needs and under me as an individual. The staff and doctors are all very kind. The Doctor always asks about my pain and if I have any knew symptoms and he takes the time to hear me out. Very understanding. Elvis only had L4 and had plenty of help. Bruce Lee also just had L4 and it changed his whole life. Listed below here is a note of him asking for more 1. Cocaine 2. LSD 3.Hash. Still died young from Asprin. Im a SAH survivor who uses cannabis for my stroke and needs opioids for my spinal injuries I have cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral issues.Im not allergic to opioids; I rather have opioid therapy over cannabis if that is the case. But I read in 2009 that they might be better in conjunction, please help me, Dr. Patel. Thank youI need around-the-clock coverage due to the pain being constant.Two pills are better than nothing, but I hurt tossing and turning at night. Lets find a solution please besides injections. How about Roxicodone or Trazodone. Thanks for being compassionateWow, I feel the love thanks for finding my, walking stage 4 CES.Thanks Chiropractor team.Boo just had an heart attack without fentynal, roxicodone and no valium.

Dr Patel took the time to analyze my lower back MRI and explain the options. We agreed to try the less invasive approach first, namely physical therapy and then epidural. He answered all my questions very candidly and was willing to work around my upcoming overseas trip.Unlike with many other health providers, it is relatively easy to call Dr Patel’s office to get questions answered by a live person.Overall a very pleasant experience!

He doesnt force treatments on you that you may or may not want. But he does suggest what he feels is best for you. My first visit and I was skeptical, I didn’t think the doctor would understand my complex medical condition or history. I’m not sure however, what about “Chronic Pain Syndrome” is so complicated that a Board Certified Specialist Medical Doctor (MD) in Pain Management like Dr Ajay Patel of Downey, Ca can’t figure out. So I went to see him twice. On our last appointment time the doctor didn’t even have the decency to call and cancel our appointment. No, instead I drove over 200 miles to see him just to be told upon my arrival that he was not available. That, in my opinion, is very unprofessional.

Doctor Patel, Doctor Ferid, and the front desk staff really do their best to help you and genuinely want you to be happy and healthy. Doctor Ferid listens to you and doesnt make you feel bad for being in pain. My old doctor used to yell at me and make me wait hours to see her even though I had an appointment. changing my pain specialist helped me for the better. I have Lupus and stress triggers it and every appointment I had with my old doctor used to make me flare up Im so grateful I walked away from that office and insurance sent me to Dr. Patel. His staff makes you feel welcomed and really wants to get to the source of pain so that you can be happy and function during the day. Its rare to find a good Doctor let alone Doctors and staff who really wants the best for you. You shouldnt even think twice Dr Patels office is where you need to be if you are really in pain. Having Dr. Ferid there if Dr.Patel is busy you are in excellent hands.

I was not sure about this place at the beginning until I met with Dr. Patel himself last week; he was so thorough, he read all my MRI report, he answered all my questions, he performed a complete exam, and he decided on the spot the next actions to take, and scheduled the pain management protocol needed before the end of my appointment. The PAs and staff are very nice and effecient. The PAs listen to your concerns and if you request help with getting a walker, or referrals to a Neurosurgeon or Physical Therapist they will assist you. They understand that chronic pain is a debilitating disease that negatively impacts every aspect of life, ruins careers, relationships, and robs people of doing fun activities they previously enjoyed. They dont judge you or treat you like a druggie because you require pain medication, and I appreciate that attitude very much.

I’ve been a patient for about 5 months suffer from chronic pain for 20+ years, I’ve suffered from cervical and lumbar problems, have had numerous surgeries. I was so happy when I met with Matt Cunningham. I thought finally someone who understands and cares about me. At the end of appointments he always says if anything comes up or If you have any questions call me ..I’ve called once about prescription not covered was told they would give him the message no call back. The pharmacy called no response. Another time called about my copay of $100.00 a month for pain patch they said they would send a message to doctor. Never heard back. Called them back telling them my plan could lower my copay by 50% with a letter from doctor. The front office told me they don’t do that. Today I called trying to speak to Matt, because on last appointment I chose to stop the patch told him not to send the prescription but since then I have been in bed with excruciating pain unable to function. Explained to the front office how badly I needed the patch I made a mistake by not wanting the prescription. Was told they would send message to Matt. Got a call back from the front office saying I have to wait for my next appointment to ask for prescription which is 2 weeks away. In the meantime I have excruciating pain. Asked for office manager she said the same thing. I told her they are my doctors they are supposed to help me with situations that come up mid appointments. She said they are too Busy and their office protocol is discuss on next appointment. They have me in tears. I asked if I could see him sooner they said NO only once a month.. so I agree they seem to care but only on the day of your appointment. You can’t get any help from them mid appointment. Do they really care. I’m starting to doubt it!

Dr Patel was the first Dr in a 9 month journey, to show complete interest in what was happening with me. I’ve been to many specialists who have dropped the ball with my care. I’ve dealt with insurance that is denying services, etc. Dr Patel was thorough in his assessment of my condition and went right to ordering an MRI which is what I have needed for so long. For the first time in months my family has some hope that we have found a competent and efficient Dr who will help us find answers. Been going to Dr. A.J Patel for 5 years and he actually cut back my pain meds that worked to cover my pain. So the last five years have been a horror show where l am bedridden 70 % of the time because of the pain l experience. I am now unable to have relationships with my children and grandchildren because of my pain and l am stuck with him because my insurance doesnt have another pain management doctor. Pain Mgmt at the office of Dr AJ Patel is a excellent example of how a medical provider is supposed to treat their patients. I have never been to pain management before because my primary care physician was inadequate with evaluation of my personal problems. I have needed pain Mgmt for years and for whatever reason Dr Jack Azad my previous primary care physician never referred me. I have changed from Dr Jack Azad to someone else who immediately sent me to pain management.This being my first experience with ANY pain management specialist has been very user friendly. I have had the experience of being treated by Dr Patel’s assistant Dr Cunningham and he has been very wonderful evaluating my pain as well. I really appreciate the respect and expertise that this office has given me.Just recently I had the experience of talking with a office staff member Betty who went over and above to compensate me with coordinating a fitting for a back brace. All of the staff members are super friendly and accommodating.Thank you Dr A J Patel.J Alridge
