10/10 from the start of the trip to the end of the trip including flights/hotels/excursions. I would recommend to all of my friends, and I will definitely plan on traveling again with them. Thailand was amazing and everything in the description online flowed exactly as listed. Itinerary was clear on what to expect. Our tour guide (patty) was also 10/10 upon arrival. :)

My family and I had a great time . Our tour guide Sharkie ( i am definitely spelling it wrong) was punctual, informative and knowledgeable. Included flight, hotels, some tours ( some we bought through affordable travels some we did on our own and breakfast with some days we were served lunch. My advice if you do an excursion in Bangkok specifically traffic is crazy a 20 min drive can take up to an hour . So be mindful . Had a great time and would definitely use affordable travel again .

The trip to Thailand was beautiful. Very hot though. Affordable World fulfilled their every promise by providing drivers in AC vehicles, wonderful tour guide, took us to many adventures/places and booked wonderful hotels. The only negative thing was that this trip is advertised mainly on the gorgeous images of Krabi’s clear waters, but the entire beach was jelly fish infested (WITH NO SIGNS) and my daughters were injured. Needless to say no one else went swimming there… which defeats the advertised images.

Amazing experience! Excellently executed tour. Accommodations were gorgeous and tour guides were knowledgeable, and helpful. The excursions were great and definitely worth the price. Love the option to pre-book or to add on the day of. Truly enjoyed my vacation and would be extremely confident in booking with Affordable World again.

With my previous positive experience with Affordable World in Thailand, I chose them for my Japan tour as well. Although the hotel selections were on par with my expectations, I feel that inclusion of more cultural experiences would enrich the tour. Adding activities such as geisha culture, ramen-making class, shinkansen ride, and kimono-making would provide a deeper understanding of Japanese culture. Nevertheless, I had a pleasurable experience and would recommend Affordable World to anyone looking forward to visiting Japan.

This was an amazing trip! All of the accommodations were nice and clean! The tour guide, Chaki, was awesome! I liked that the same tour guides followed us to every island. There are two reasons I cannot give five stars: 1. We were not aware of the luggage limit for the Intercontinental flight from Bangkok to Krabi, which resulted in several individuals having to pay extra baggage fees. 2. The dinner cruise excursion was not good. The food was less than desirable and cold, and the entertainment was not exciting. Other than that, the trip was great! I will use Affodable World again!

This was one of the most rewarding, fulfilling, humbling, exciting and excellent moments in our lives. Because of Affordable World, my family and I were able to have an experience of a lifetime and create forever memories, together. We traveled to Greece via Miami to Istanbul, then Istanbul to Athens on Turkish Airlines. We then took a ferry from Athens to Thira (Santorini) and we’d encourage upgrading to business class on the ferry (well worth the 8hr trip for views). Each tour guide, driver and Peter (who met us at the airport with a sign) was very kind, welcoming and generous with knowledge. English was primarily spoken, but was not required for us. I would book with this tour company again and again. Thank you!

Went on a Bangkok/Phuket 8 night tour and had a blast. Our guides, Tiger and Patty, were wonderful. We saw beautiful temples, played with elephants, had many great meals, fed monkeys, went on several boat rides including to James Bond Island. We highly recommend this tour. Was a trip of a lifetime.

Our recent trip to Thailand was amazing. Our choice was Thailand Escape: Bangkok, Krabi & Phuket, 10 days.flight to Thailand was very good (Singapore Airlines are great) with short layovers in Frankfurt and Singapore.We loved Thailand - the views, water, the culture and the people. Views are amazing- I took million pictures. Weather in November is wonderful - no rain, sunny and beautiful days.Our tour guide, Patty was great! she was funny, very social, talked a lot about the country, the customs, pointed out to various interesting places. she was very well organized and helped people with various requests that we had. She was also very friendly and remembered everyones names very quickly. Amazing person.what I would change is the trip to Elephant Sanctuary - from Phuket there is one sanctuary located only 15 minutes away from the hotel. We went to a different one that was 3 hours away from Bangkok. also, i would prefer one more day longer in Phuket or Krabi versus in Bangkok.And if you are into animals - Elephant Sanctuary is gorgeous. We actually went twice because I loved it so much. Elephants are such wonderful animals.and also monkeys - these are a little crazy and you have to be careful so they dont bite you but they are so much fun.the travel back to US took us 52 hours (two long overnight layovers in Singapore and Frankfurt so we had to rent the hotels) but I guess this is the price you pay for the affordability of the whole trip.

We had an amazing trip with a wonderful tour guide, Baguse! We learned all about the culture and loved our upgrade to the open air Nadini hanging gardens hotel! We also upgraded to the Westin but that hotel had a few issues. Management was very kind and moved us to a suite for the last two nights as a courtesy but we still experienced a few issues in that room as well, however being able to spend time at their sister resort the Laguna was a highlight. Overall highly recommend this trip just maybe skip upgrading the second hotel.

This was our first time traveling with a guided group tour and we highly recommend the Thailand tour of Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket! First of all, our guides, Alice and Yui were the best! From the moment we stepped out of the airport until we returned, they made us feel at ease. They were so knowledgeable and kind, going the extra mile to make sure all of us had great experience and felt like family. They even led us to Chinatown in Bangkok one evening on their own time which we probably wouldnt have done on our own. Affordable World includes some excursions but we decided to do all the extra excursions and glad we did. Although exhausting, we experienced such awesome variety of cultural experiences! Finally, the hotels in each location were beautiful and included a nice breakfast buffet each day. With many meals included in our excursions, we had few meals to purchase. Cant wait to check out other tours with Affordable World.

We booked a 10-day all inclusive trip to Thailand through Affordable World. Starting with the booking process, it was so easy to navigate the website and to book the trip. The price listed was accurate as well, no hidden fees or surprises at checkout. It was so easy to add on tours and tailor the trip to our preferences.After booking, Affordable World emailed all necessary information in a timely manner with reminders, things to know before you go, and updates up until it was time to leave. They provided everything from hotel bookings (beautiful 4+ star hotels), flights (with information on adding preferences due to me being pregnant and having dietary restrictions), multiple provided meals throughout the trip (all delicious and on the fancier side), transportation to/from airport and tours, and provided 2 bilingual/English speaking guides. We didn’t have to worry, stress, or go out of our way to plan anything. (Besides specific things we wanted to see while in Thailand).Affordable World Customer Service was 5 stars as well. We booked the trip for our babymoon, so I had a few questions regarding being pregnant on some tours. Customer Service replied via email within a day with reassuring answers.After arriving in Thailand, we were greeted by one of the friendliest guides, Kitty. She had a sign at arrivals stating “Affordable World”. It was easy to find her and identify that she was our ride from the airport to the hotel. The hotels (in both Bangkok and Phuket) provided an inclusive all you can eat breakfast buffet with a wide variety of food. The next day we met up with the 2nd guide, Sharkie. Kitty and Sharkie were so friendly, very informative and loved explaining Thai culture, very funny, and willing to go out of their way to make sure your trip was perfect. They handled everything, including booking transportation to events outside of the provided tours or to areas of town we wanted to explore, handling laundry services, checking in at the airports, flying with us to Phuket (and/or Krabi), booking tickets to a show we wanted to see, etc. (Highly recommend the Simon Cabaret Show). The tours on the itinerary were not mandatory either. Some people attended only a few and then went on their own adventures during the rest of the time. We skipped a few to explore on our own as well, but the tours are definitely worth going on. So much to see, such beautiful experiences, and you learn so much about Thai culture.We could not have asked for a better trip. Thanks to Affordable World, Sharkie, and Kitty-the trip was so smooth, relaxing, and truly the best trip weve ever been on. We fell in love with Thailand and will definitely be visiting again. Affordable World took the headache out of booking travel. Flights, accommodations, and ferry transfers were done for us. All three hotels we stayed in were fantastic. Tour guides met us at each island to acclimate us to the island. Then we were free to explore on our own, so much better than being part of a large tour group. 5 stars to Affordable World!

This experience exceeded any expectation I had going into it. It was absolutely incredible. My experience with Affordable World was amazing! No joke. We first saw the advertisement on Groupon. We were hesitant to book, bc it was Groupon and wed never booked traveling through Groupon let alone internationally. We did a butt load of research, I reached out to ppl on IG, my dad went to their offices and found out they were legit. So, we took the chance and booked their deal to Thailand. Boy was tht the best decision! First off, Thailand is freaking amazing and beautiful, please visit. We booked a 10 day/8 night deal to Bangkok (4days), Krabi (2days), Phuket (2days). Bangkok was so amazing, if I go back, Im not leaving. We had 5 star hotels at each location & breakfasts. We had lunch also but not everyday. Excursions were available everyday, but you do have the option to opt out. We also did the elephant sanctuary as an additional Excursion. Our tour guide Ken, was so sweet and very caring. What I loved most, is if you wanted to venture off on your own, he made accommodations to help get you there if you asked. He was simply wonderful! I would also recommend to maybe take a day to yourself so you can explore other parts not included in the itinerary (the Tik Tok/IG stuff), bc the days can be long when you do the tours then try to explore on your own, esp when trying to push thru jet lag! We visited temples, markets, islands, and more. Separately, we also visited Phi Phi, Tiger Park, and the Big Buddha. Transportation for everything was included unless you did something on your own. Only con, which didnt bother us much, was the amount of ppl on the tour, there were 2 tour busses (even though they split the groups to make them smaller). So if you like to move quickly, you may want to opt to do your own thing, but by Day 2-3 we had our own little Affordable World Family and we looked out for eachother and did excursions together which made it more fun. We met cool ppl and made some friends. Overall, A+ experience. Will book again and I suggest you do the same!

We booked the Bangkok to Phukat Thailand trip. This was out 1st time using a agency/group tour trip, I normally do all the planning for vacations. We were not disappointed at all. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The tours and optional tours were great. It allowed us to see many of the main most sought after attractions along with free time to venture out on our own. I would definitely use Affordable World for other trips in the future.

Affordable world was well worth the risk when planning our trip to Bali. We hadnt heard of them before and found them on Groupon. We took a chance, and thank goodness we did! Everything was made simple, and easy. We had a wonderful guide provided to us. Bagus really made all the difference in our trip by introducing us to other affordable world travelers who we ultimately spent our entire trip with! Bagus picked us up promptly and with a welcoming spirit from the airport and was wonderful in sharing the history of Bali and its people. If nothing else I am thankful that affordable world introduced us to such a wonderful guide and fellow travelers. If you are thinking about using affordable world, Id say go for it! Seriously, worth every penny. 10/10!

In comparison to the Thailand trip with AW, Japan was a bit too rushed, squeezing in way too much where you’re not able to truly appreciate the tour stops to their fullest. I suggest down selecting the tour options to allow us to truly enjoy things instead of literally running through them. We were starving for much of the driving time on the trip…often stopping at 7-11 or crowded rest stops for meals (but not having enough time to purchase quality meals). Suggest making reservations to a restaurant as a group to ensure everyone ate or a quick stop at McDonald’s. Also suggesting for us to pack more snacks on the bus to avoid starvation. The view at the hotel at Mount Fuji was incredible but the meals (dinner and breakfast) were absolutely horrible! No one in our group ate. A group of us asked if we could stop at McDonald’s and were turned down. Also, it would’ve been nice to get helpful tips (ex: upon arrival to Tokyo on the last leg, would’ve been nice to be told to rush to Tokyo tower to purchase tickets for the tower for later that night since they sell out quickly. We casually walked there later and were told it was sold out, when visibility was amazing before the rain came in the next day.) There were a lot of missed opportunities where we could’ve been given tips and suggestions to make the trip that much more meaningful. Not all was negative… The sites and cities were absolutely amazing and our tour guide was lovely, charming and very knowledgeable.

Literally affordable, 100% recommended, very good hotels in excellent areas. All tours are worth it. But what made that trip an excellent experience were our tour guides, Noom and Sharky. Every day they went above and beyond to give us great service and help, advice, very attentive to everyone and to the children too. They deserve the recommended tip and more, they really made us feel like we had two local friends, we want to return again and I hope they will be our tour guides again.

My trip to Japan was very well worth the price and experience. The cities we visited for our first time in an Asian Country was perfect. Loved the Cherry Blossom Season. Trip was well organized. Only Considerations I had for giving a 5 Star was our tour guide had a very difficult time communicating in English. Translation and connecting with us was very bad... We missed a lot of the history and highlights of the areas we visited. We had to google the information prior to arriving so we were well informed. Just not a good interaction for him or for us as I know he was trying. The bus driver Elvis was a wonderful and fun! And one lodge/hotel was changed at the last minute. This hotel was in the Mt. Fuji area and it was terrible. Old, Food Terrible and lights in the hotel bedroom would not turn off-had to call the service department at 11:30 at night. A few of the others in the group slept in their clothes and outside the covers on the bed. I would really check out the hotels before booking and I know they have the right to change the accommodations per the contract. But, this place was terrible. Jiragonno Fuji No Yakata. Do not go there!

They are so easy to use and our guide was very friendly. Our guide helped arrange massages for us and helped navigate some other activities.I gave it 4 stars because the tours, although interesting, catered to an older crowd and I had a teenager. We enjoyed the tours, but our favorite tours were scheduled on our own. All the same, this was a great value and made traveling to different locations easy. I would use them again.

My husband and I had an incredible trip to Thailand. We did the Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket tour and had a blast! This is our second time using affordable world and we can’t recommend this company enough.We highly recommend Patty and Sharky who were our tour guides in Thailand. They were just fun and friendly and knowledgeable (especially Patty, we love her!).We also met some really awesome people in our tour group. By day 4 we were all basically family.I’ve traveled all over the world and this was my second trip to Thailand, but probably my favorite travel experience yet. I hope this company creates more tours on more continents. They really are a great tour company.

We booked Affortable world through Groupon for our Greece Trip. Before booking we reviewed reviews and social media pages. We did the 8-day tour of Greece coming out of Dulles International. We visited Athens & Santorini. We had no wait time at any of the pick ups (airport, ferry, hotels or tours). The representative always had a sign that said Affortable World. We did the upgrade to business in the ferry. The Ferry is very nice! It’s not what you think of (old tacky) and the ferry was faster than expected when we arrived at the port someone was already waiting for us to take us to the hotel in Santorini. We only did booked reservations for dinners, and car and hotel staying while coming back because we had a 15 he layover. I will use Affortable world again. WOW what a trip! My husband and I chose to do the Thailand tour through Bangkok and Phuket for our honeymoon. Was a bit skeptical at first as I found this company on Groupon and the price was so cheap to include the flight! But we had an absolute blast and everything went so smooth. Sharky was our tour guide- he was awesome! Made our trip so fun and easy with the included transportation/activities and he also hooked us up with private Thai massages and Thai boxing activity that we wanted to do outside of the tour. This has been our favorite trip by far, would recommend to anyone as there is so much to do. Definitely go to the elephant sanctuary!!! We also upgraded our rooms- would recommend that too if you can splurge.

We booked the Thailand Bangkok and Phuket 10 day trip. We travel quite a bit but I have never done an all inclusive trip before. I was pretty nervous that the trip wouldnt be good but it was AMAZING! It was one of the best trips of my life! Everything was perfectly planned, the hotels were all 4 - 5 star, and our tour guide, Patty was very knowledgeable and knew all the good local spots. Even the flight there was on a great airlines (like hot meals every 3 hours... I didnt even know that still existed 😊)I wish that I could convey how wonderful this trip was in this review but words just dont do it justice.We did all the optional tours and they were great. We never would have been able to do all the stuff we did if we hadnt gone through Affordable World.Im not sure how Affordable World made any money on this trip, we could not have flown to Thailand and Phuket for the cost of the whole trip. I will absolutely travel with Affordable World again.

Just got back from our Thailand trip with Affordable World. Before discussing our trip...I have to mention the pay by month option makes these trips infinitely easier to swallow.This was our third trip with Affordable World and I was happy with almost everything. Our tour guides were funny, knowledgeable, straight with us on everything wed see, experience, and what we should expect. I loved Kitty! Say hi to her. :) We visited Bangkok, Krabi, and Phuket. Accommodations at Bangkok and Krabi were excellent. Phuket location was a bit far from where we wanted to be but if you were traveling just to enjoy the beach the location was perfect.Thailand is by far one of my favorite locations because of its natural beauty, kind hearted people, and how far my dollar goes. I will be back and with these prices, definitely through Affordable World.

Positives: The hotels and transportation for the trip were wonderful! The hotels were very nice and comfortable. Affordable world accommodated our request to keep our groups rooms close together. Our guide was very kind. Having a free day in the cities was wonderful.Negative: Our guide, while kind, was not very informative of the places we visited. Stops are sites were very rushed so and we were given minimal information about the sites visited. The information given was mostly read off a note sheet and was said very quietly. We had to ask multiple times so we could hear what was being said. We would have liked more time to actually see the sites instead of jogging around them quickly to get back on the bus. Especially with crowded areas it felt more stressful than enjoyable.

I have to admit when purchasing this tour group I thought it seemed way too good to be true, I had never been on a tour like this and the price point was low compared to mathing out the price for the flights and hotels alone.The itinerary was busy day to day with not a lot of free time, but we saw everything we set out to see on the tour schedule (although Fuji San tried their best to be shy on a rainy day we were able to sneak a peak-pun intended-from our hotel room in Hakone, how awesome is that?).The hotel in Shibuya we stayed at was great, you could see the Shibuya Scramble from our room, and looking online locally around $200-300 per night. The hotel in Hakone was cozy but comfortable but the Onsen view of Fuji was spectacular. The hotel in Kyoto exceeded my expectations and was very nice and stylish. The flight on Singapore airlines was also great. Our tour guide, Jo-Jo, was FABULOUS. She was a giant ball of energy and information and kept us on the go!I could write way too much about this travel experience but to summarize and keep it short, it was GREAT. It was a fantastic value for the money, and hard to beat such a deal for such quality choices and the sites we got to see including ground transportation (if thats even possible) should you book the same itinerary alone. There were no hidden fees or surprise costs (if you read the fine print, the only extra fee was tipping for the guide/driver which is merely a minimum suggested amount of $10 USD per day).I was very skeptical of this tour group despite other positive reviews thinking they were somehow manufactured...but now I know firsthand it can be a great experience (and was!). I will be traveling with Affordable World again!

The most amazing trip!! We went to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini and not only was it affordable but we felt like we were in good hands the entire time. They booked our airfare, hotels, transportation and tours, leaving us to just get there. We were told when to be in the hotel lobby and our transportation would be there for the next event, whether it be another tour, a ferry to the next island or back to the airport. My wife and I used Affordable World to book our Honeymoon in November-December 2019. Overall - we had a fantastic experience. We went to Beijing, Bangkok, and Phuket. First of all, you cannot beat the price as we compared this package to booking flights and hotels ourselves and other tour agencies and it wasnt even close. This was the primary reason we booked through Affordable World and we were able to create a combination we were very excited about.We signed up for some of the optional tours/excursions but definitely not all of them. In general, we wished we had signed up for LESS of these optional tours and booked them ourselves as they were very touristy and with a rather large group each time. Also, the meals on these optional tours were never particularly impressive. Since this was our honeymoon, we did want some more privacy at times and were not fully expecting the large size of the group and the cliche tourist approach of driving around in a large charter bus with a tour guide talking through a microphone. However, what we did not anticipate is that traveling with a group was actually really GREAT at times (even on a honeymoon) because we met some new friends and when we wanted to go out to eat or to bars with a group we had that option.The hotel accommodations were definitely comfortable and better than we expected. Especially the hotel in Phuket, which was fantastic! Again since this was our honeymoon, we wanted a few nights in a fancy retreat in Phuket so we had double-booked living arrangements for a few nights and the tour guides were very accommodating of all of that. Side note - would DEFINITELY recommend separately booking a day at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary and NOT any place that allows riding, bathing, or swimming with elephants. And please dont support anywhere that provides taking photos with otherwise dangerous animals!If you are looking for an experience where you dont have to worry about making any of the plans or figuring out the logistics yourself, I definitely recommend this tour and signing up for all the excursions that interest you. If you are looking to have more of your own experience and want to try to have some authentic encounters, I would say this is still a great and affordable option for covering your basics - just book your day-to-day activities on your own!

We went on the Thailand with Beijing tour. It was great!! The accommodations in Bangkok and Pattaya were great. The other hotels were clean but older. However the service which was awesome. Our tour guide was Sharky. He was outstanding!! He answered all of our questions, gave lots of info on Thailand, their people, and history. The best part of the Thailand was the Elephant Sanctuary. I highly recommend this excursion. This was an experience of a lifetime. Beijing was a different experience since Chinese people can be rude but it seemed to be the older population. In addition since we are African-Americans we were frequently stared at and people would randomly take our picture. Our tour guide informed us that some Chinese have never seen people of color so not to be alarmed. The explanation made sense because we did not see another African-American while we were there. We went to the Great Wall of China which was amazing!! My husband loved China. Im not sure Id go back but we will return to Thailand again for sure. This was an amazing trip. We plan on going to Japan through Affordable Asia. The price, accommodations, with daily tours is unbeatable.

Deciding to book our vacation to Greece through Affordable World was one of the best decisions wed made. Booking our vacation was easy. All of our questions were always answered fully and in a timely manner. This vacation did not disappoint! Immediately off the plane, we were met by a friendly face who was expecting us, our personal Travel Coordinator. Our itinerary was explained and a copy provided to us with a host of necessary contact information - just in case. By the way, we never needed to use them. The tours we partook in were well guided, at just the right pace. We were given time to ask questions, take pictures and just be in awe of the beauty of our surroundings. The tour guides provided suggestions how to move around the public transit system, easiest places to walk for more sites and places to find a good meal. All internal travel was flawless. Our transports were always on time and our travel coordinator was the constant at each transport. Our package was the perfect combination of independent tour we could have imagined. We were able to have enough downtime that we could roam unencumbered - AND WE DID! I highly suggest renting an ATV when on Santorini and exploring this lovely island on your own. We originally booked for a trip to Thailand to travel in 2020, but due to CoVid19, we were unable to travel, and Affordable World accommodated us by returning our deposit quickly and completely. Because of their genuine response to the pandemic and their willingness to return our deposit, we chose to travel with them this year. It was a great adventure at an amazing price. Just ensure when you check in that you are not seated near a young children for your 15+ hour flights. Starting the long journey off with crying kids didn’t help me decompress while preparing for such a much anticipated vacation.The hotel accommodations were beautiful and amazing, although the beds were too firm. The breakfast included everyday was wonderful with all the familiar foods I needed while traveling abroad.The tours were enlightening with such rich historical and local traditions.Our group of 22 was large enough to feel connected to others, yet small enough to feel like you were vacationing on your own. The coordination and communication between affordable world and the tour company in Greece was non existent. Affordable world is a third party and often can’t answer questions or provide details. Upon arrival tour company didn’t even know one tour was rescheduled due to our arriving flight delay. The itinerary we were given upon landing did not reflect changes and we were very confused. Another annoying detail was that we were not provided a detailed itinerary before we left which made planning other activities very difficult. How can you plan when you are told “ enjoy the morning at leisure before transfer to port”. It’s ridiculous. Never again will I use affordable world.

Greece Island Escape ReviewRecently back from the Greece Island Escape tour where I had a great trip. I did not upgrade hotels. The hotels were all very nice and in good locations. Athenaeum Palace in Athens at the beginning of the trip, San Antonio Summerland Hotel in Mykonos that had a free hotel shuttle to town, El Greco in Santorini easy walk to town and Athenaeum Grand Hotel in Athens at the end of the trip. Athenaeum Grand Hotel has a hotel shuttle during the day and was an easy, flat walk when the shuttle wasn’t running. There are many restaurants and shops near the hotel and as other reviews mention, a strip club next door. We never saw anyone coming or going and did not feel uncomfortable at any time.We also did not upgrade the ferries and if I had it to do over again, I would have upgraded to the flight on the return from Santorini. The ferry ride isn’t as exciting after riding on it already plus you loose most of a day.As for the optional tours, we only signed up to do the Sunset Catamaran Cruise in Santorini and it was a perfect day and sunset. Lots of fun and a tasty meal and wine included! Our guide that picked us up in Santorini also recommended a bus tour that included stops at an archaeological site, a beach, wine tastings at a winery and sunset at beautiful Oia. The cost was 50 euros each.My only other tip is I HIGHLY recommend getting your own third party insurance to cover your entire trip. My flight to Newark was delayed several hours due to weather causing us to miss the flight to Athens. Affordable World and Emirates charged me $1000 each to rebook my ticket for the next day’s flight. This was not a good start to the trip having to spend $2000 before I ever left my home airport.Beyond that, Greece was amazing! I also really liked the freedom of this tour. The tour includes very nice hotels, transportation to and from the airport, ferries and hotels and introductory tours of each island but other than that you are given the freedom to do what you want or add on optional tours.

This was our first Groupon tour and I am not at all disappointed. The entire tour was well structured with interesting sights and information, but also allowed for free personal time and exploration. This tour allowed us to experience city, ocean and mountains. The staff (Ms Oh and Yui) were the most pleasant and helpful people I have ever met. Logistically things were on time, transportation was comfortable, explanations of temples etc were spot on. My only concern was our last day when we visited the White Temple and Iron Triangle. Being in a tour van for over 12 hour and departing for the next day to the U.S. was a bit to much. May I suggest that tour be moved earlier into the week or cut in half. Honestly the Iron Triangle was not that great of a time (seems we only were expected to shop in Laos). I strongly recommend this tour package however. . The accommodation upgrade in Bangkok was well worth it, but our Phuket upgrade separated us from our group and overtasked everyone as far as pick up etc do to the distance between hotels. Stay with the original hotel and you will be in the heart of the city along with your tour group. Our tour group was amazing. Everything about this tour was above my expectations and well worth it. Great job, great logistics, great everything and I highly recommend anyone thinking about visiting Thailand to consider this tour package. We went during the beginning of October and missed the heat and the monsoon. Again, I want to than OH and YUI for their amazing energy and efforts. Thanks again

This was my second trip with Affordable World, the first being Thailand (which was incredible).Greece with Affordable World was horrible. Even though there were only 9 people in our group, we were herded along with all the other tour groups and it always felt chaotic. It was a different tour guide every day which made it even further impersonal and lacked quality. They never knew what was going on.One tour guide didn’t even pick us up for a transfer from the ferry to the hotel which was supposed to include a walking tour. We all just sat at the port for an hour, trying to call their emergency line (which nobody answered).Knowing what I know now, I never would have booked with Affordable World. Recently took a trip to Bali with the Bali uplands & beaches package, and we absolutely loved it! Ani, our tour guide, was knowledgable and did everything she could to make our trip memorable and convenient. The tour itself can be very private due to the nature of travel to Bali (small streets, hard to have a large group of people), but we absolutely loved the privacy of the tour! Hotel accommodations were excellent, and we were impressed with the communication with Affordable World from pre-travel to airport pick-up to returning home. If you plan on doing this exact tour, I recommend doing all the excursions (minus the sunset dinner cruise). This way, you get to see the most out of Bali, but still get enough time to relax and explore the island. Overall a good experience, good walking tour guides, good hotel choices and thankful for the all the transportation being worked out for us. However, it wasn’t as organized as expected. Two improvements that would make a rating difference are booking assigned seats next to the people in your group for the airlines as well as for the Santorini catamaran mentioning in the synopsis that the boat only moors, so in order to visit the sites, you have to be a proficient swimmer. All three tour guides that met us to transport to our hotels were wonderful and helped us get acclimated to the location and shared history and great tips. The Athens tour was for the most part a bus ride past points of interest with the exception of the museum and Acropolis. The tour guide gave an excellent tour of both locations! The islands of Mykonos and Santorini provided stunning views from both hotels. Cruise ships in port on both islands made walking to the shops crowded but everyone was happy.We found the Greek people to be very welcoming. Most could speak English well enough that there was never a language problem.

We could not have done all the cities we did for the price or convenience. I am looking now to book with my father again.We did a China tour, and even though flights were delayed every single time (Air China), what could be controlled was amazing. The tour guides were wonderful and dealt with 70 year old man chat very well.We felt safe and looked after.The only issue for us was arriving at the hotel from the airport at about 7am but not being able to check in until the afternoon. We just sat in the lobby. Fine for me, but was not the best situation with my father who doesnt travel often.

Overall our Bali+Singapore trip was amazing. Every step of the way we were taken care of. All our transits were covered, which eased our stress levels greatly.The hotel in Ubud, Sthala, was magnificent. Although a little bit outside of the city center, it offered peace and tranquility in a gorgeous setting. The staff was just so welcoming and friendly. catering to your every need. The buffet breakfast they served was massive, with a wide variety of cuisines for every palate. The restaurant there was overall great, with perfect ambiance. The hotel pools were to die for. The free shuttle service to Ubud city center was also very convenient.Our guide in Bali, Dana, is a national treasure. He ensured we were taken care of, aware of future plans, and would send us reminders. He would give us great local tips, tell us about the history, and take care of all the tickets and so forth. We had none of the hassle and all of the fun. Our driver, Kitut (sp?) was also a pro, weaving through Balinese traffic like it was second nature. He always got us to our destinations safely.The hotel at Kuta, Tribe, was also a great experience, but mirrored the city itself a bit - hot, chaotic, and wild. The breakfast buffet there was equally amazing with options for everyone. The hotel only had one pool, which was connected to dining, which was a little weird at times and much more crowded than our Ubud experience.In Singapore our hotel was the most corporate with none of the uniqueness or hospitality of our Bali ones, but that makes sense because SG is a totally different locale. They had the best breakfast buffet of all though!!! Our tour guide in SG was Bob, an older gentleman with a vast knowledge of the city-state. My only gripe with him was that he took us to a souvenir shop for 30 minutes!Overall my wife and I had an amazing trip and felt as though the planning and execution was near-perfect. I definitely recommend Affordable World in the future because they have a great balance of daily excursions (that you pick) intermixed with days of leisure where you can decide what you want to do. They took care of all of the annoying parts of travel for us - booking tours, booking drivers, booking transits, etc, which was a huge relief for us. The accommodations were amazing in both Athens and Santorini. El Greco HotelIn Santorini is breathtakingly beautiful and walking distance to everything. Every interaction that I had with a representative from Affordable World was great. The representatives were always courteous and professional. We used this trip as our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The hotels were all Marriot and were very nice accommodating. The included tour was a lot of fun, but the only thing that I would change is the day they do the tour. We were extremely jet lagged, and the tour was scheduled for the day after we arrived. This was tough because they said it would be a half day tour but with all the activities, it ended up being a full day and we were exhausted at the end. The flights were long but it was nice to be on a good airline that gave meals included. We did some optional tours and the Beach club cruise was incredible and totally worth it. We had a full day of water sports that included snorkeling, a banana boat, diving board, water slide, and many other options. Part 2 of 2I also HATED that we swapped the last two days of our itinerary to accommodate 1 person who was on a different itinerary, in other cities. Our guide wanted to coordinate so that she could hang with us, but he did not get approval from us first. We were planned to go to the monkey temple on 7/19 but went on 7/18 instead (the activities were swapped on these days). On 7/18, the vet was visiting the temple for vaccinations, so NO monkeys were out. We all paid for this excursion and decided based on the pictures and description of the interactions with all of the monkeys, hence the name. I AM EXPECTING TO BE REFUNDED FOR THIS EXCURSION.James Bond Island was not as exciting. Unless youre a 007 fan or movie buff, would not recommend. The excursion posting reads much more exciting than what it actually is.The 3 island tour from Krabi was very fun. We enjoyed the speedboat and snorkeling.ISSUES THAT I HAD- The company was not responsive. I had to reach out to them several times (Up until the night before the trip) for connecting flight information (bangkok to krabi) since it was booked separately, and directly by them.- We all took a flight from Bangkok to Krabi. There were 5 of us total. Everyone was scattered on the plane, but that wasnt an issue. I did not enjoy that everyone else had a comfort plus/upgraded seat and I did not. When I paid the same amount for the trip, as everyone else. I ALSO EXPECT TO BE REFUNDED FOR THIS.- Occasionally, we felt that our guide was aggressive with requesting tips (not for himself) but for our drivers or other included services. I understand tipping for service, but DO NOT TELL ME AN AMOUNT. Tip amount is my decision based on how I perceived the quality of service. Although transportation was included in our package, it became very expensive to tip so many drivers.All in all, I would return to Thailand but definitely would not use a tour agency. Now that we have been once and know what areas we liked and disliked, it is easy to return on our own, for a fraction of the price.

I have to say personally my experience with Affordable World Tours couldnt have been any better! I just came back from the Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket Thailand tour. Ive been fortunate enough to travel all over the world, but Affordable World helped make this trip the most memorable one! The trip was a nicely planned. Some tour guides were a bit unorganized. As if they were new at their job. I would recommend upgrading your airfare if possible. Turkish air was much more crowded when it comes to seats than the past. Be ready to have an extra night stay in Istanbul if you fly on them. You’ll have to buy a visa if you go outside the airport. We just did a guys trip to Thailand in April 2023 and had a wonderful time. Our guides Yui, Padi, and Toni were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They even made extra excursions for us on the fly, for example, we were interested in Muay Thai fighting so went out to see a fight night at the Bangla Boxing Stadium. Hotels were above expectations (breakfasts wow), daily trips were excellent, and transportation was seamless and organized. Some days were very long and could use a break between (boat trips in Phuket), but we were able to opt out as we saw fit depending on how we felt. The extra $100 for private service I think is worth it generally but it does not cover you privately for all excursions. There was no strict rules and we could do what we wanted during the day.For cost-benefit value, I dont think you can beat this (~$3500 CAD all in with flights plus private tours) from Seattle. This is my second trip with this company (China back ~10yrs ago) and would definitely do another trip with Affordable World again.

Part 1 of 2My wife and I are avid travelers but have never been on a organized or group trip. We do all of our own planners. We were initially skeptical due to mixed reviews, but are glad we went! We had an amazing time in Thailand. We chose the Bangkok-Krabi-Phuket tour. Our guide, Tone, was amazing!!! He made sure to incorporate things that WE wanted to do and made great recommendations, whenever we asked.I cant blame Affordable World but myself for not reading the itinerary in depth. We chose to only purchase on excursion in each location. We wanted to have tons of free time to relax and explore on our own. However, there was so much included in the regular itinerary. There were a couple of days where I opted out and stayed back at the hotel, to sleep in. With the included activities plus excursions, some days were as long as 8am- 11pm, and they were exhausting!Bangkok- We loved the hotel- Centara. Check in was great. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. It was very accessible to everything. The rooftop bar views were unmatched.Krabi- LOVED the resort here. The breakfast was also good. Loved the vicinity to the restaurants and the beach. Very touristy and walkable.Phuket- Our least favorite stop. Reminded me of the Las Vegas strip. There are people everywhere! The hotel was a HUGE downgrade after coming from the other two and was very outdated. Each of the three hotels had a glass window between the bathroom and bedroom (where a shared wall would be), so you can see straight into the shower. There is a blind that you can let up and down. In Phuket, this FELL on me (out of the wall!! you could tell that it had be re-hung several times) while I was showering. I informed the hotel staff and they said theyd fix it. ZERO APOLOGIES. Returned back to my room and they completely removed it but never fixed it. Luckily, we were a married couple and were comfortable seeing each other shower, since it was never replaced during our stay. Our sheets were filthy. Asked for them to be changed and they were only reversed on the bed, and the stain moved from the head of the bed to the foot. They smelled so bad, that we had to both squeeze into one twin bed. Our guide did not stay at either of the other hotels, but stayed nearby. Here at Novotel Phuket, he did. This made me feel that it was so cheap/low quality that the company didnt mind paying for his stay.

The Flight and Country was fine.... the problem was with the disorganization / mismanagement/ miscommunication for the scheduled tours and the optional tours. First, we had to be ready in lobby, ready to go at a certain time, but the company was anywhere from half hour to one hour late to pick us up. Second, there need to be some kind of group numbering or group color to identify who is going on which bus for any particular tour. Lots of confusion (due to different tours happening at the same time) which bus we were supposed to be on. Third, no coordination with hotel for breakfast when we are made to get up early for a pick up to airport... all we are told is I hope breakfast is open... Couldnt we have had breakfast OPEN due to people leaving (some very early in the morning) the last day we were at hotel? More than likely will not be using Affordable World... This trip was great! Affordable World had everything planned, with transportation already arranged. That being said, this trip would not be recommended for anyone with any physical limitations, My knees are not as strong as they once were. There was a lot of walking up hills and uneven surfaces, Seems the Greeks like to use a lot of marble and stones for their walkways, causing ankles to wiggle and become sore. Our first day outing was up the Acropolis, where everything is marble and uneven. So, we started the trip immediately sore and tired. But there was no real time to recover, with more planned for every day of the trip. By the end, we were exhausted.Hotel selections were very nice! On Santorini, the El Greco Resort and Spa was beautiful. Unfortunately, they had no shuttle into town, and their recommendation was the short 10 minute walk. Not bad once or so, but it made it rather difficult considering you might want to return to your hotel several times during the day, and not walk back and forth. Remember you had already walked and climbed a bunch!But even with those concerns, the trip was fantastic. Just be ready...!!!

The bonus about this tour is that you can do as many optional tours or as little optional tours as youd like, so if you like to explore on your own, the tour group provides all transportation between cities and itineraries, hotel stays, breakfast, and flights. I wish we had all been on the same flight going to Shanghai especially since we all had about the same time departing to our home states. That would have given us a little more time to spend with each other. Some of us sat around the airport for 4 hours while others only had a two hour wait. All in all that was my only complaint. He provided great alternatives if you decided not to do the optional tours. Overall i would book with affordable world in the future. The good: Tour leaders were great Laura in Athens was definitely an expert and she felt like a friend that made sure were were well taken care of at all times. Athens Avenue: Our fist room was small and had a dirty showerhead that looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time but at least the bed was comfy. The 2nd Hotel, San Marco was On Point! The third hotel Santorini Palace looked decent but the bed was horribly uncomfortable. The mattress was only about 6 inches thick and it was literally painful. #2 we did feel kind of disoriented with the number of different guides, there was a new person picking us up every time and we didnt always know their name beforhand. Sometimes instructions were a bit inexact which made us nervous at times. In total We paid close to $3000 each and we did expect to have better quality out of the hotels. Overall Im still giving 5 stars bc we loved our trip but AW should definitely revisit their choice of hotels and consider keeping one guide with the group throughout.

They sent lots of important information prior to the trip and ensured that the important points were made in their communications. They made sure that our requested messages were relayed to the resort prior to arrival which ensured that our honeymoon was magical. I do wish they were able to get special pricing on business class for the flights, especially because 15 hours plus another 8 on a connecting flight is a LONG time to be in economy seating. Thats not why I subtracted a star though.I subtracted a star because in the airport on our return trip, the VIP escort that we had (paid for through affordable world) tried to take us outside of the Shanghai airport which Affordable World boldly emphasized that we SHOULD NOT do. We ignored them and told them we were not going to leave and they shook their head at us and then took us to the lounge. The VIP service was appreciated and did help us get through lines which would have been very annoying or difficult otherwise. I also wish there was a preferred phone number to reach the travel agency, but they STRONGLY preferred we use e-mail and online forms to contact them. They did always get back to us, but it was delayed.Otherwise Affordable World was a good agency to work with and I really do appreciate all their help with our vacation/ honeymoon. I would definitely book another trip with them.

Thailand Trip - We just returned from the trip offered by Affordable World to Bangkok and Phuket. It was amazing. We LOVED Elephant World Sanctuary, the floating market and essentially all of the excursions were amazing. Poi - who was our tour guide in Bangkok was SUPERB!!! We loved the other people who were in our group as well. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. This wasnt our first trip with Affordable World and wont be out last. We arrived at Thailand and the tour guide Noom was so nice, funny and attentive. He went out of his way and made sure we were not missing out. He took us to the mall and China town on his own time additional to our tours. The best part was when he flew to Phuket with the group to continue our adventure. Even though we went to Krabi for two days he made sure we had a tour guide there to take care of us. Speaking of Krabi, please make sure you do not miss this magical and beautiful place. Where do I begin? From the first moment we met Patty, I knew it was going to be a fun and crazy adventure. Let me begin by saying this is my first Affordable World vacation. I have used others found through Groupon and this one did not fall short at all. It was very easy to book, and all the information sent was very thorough. The hotels they chose for us were all gorgeous although the beds were very firm. Some had an amazing view, while others had a three level pool that over looked the ocean. The breakfast buffet in Bangkok was spectacular. The bus that got us around was perfect. We felt very safe the whole time, and the driver was able to navigate through all sorts of terrain.The excursions you can add on after you book while you are there. I wish I would have known. We signed up for just about everything and there were some cases I honestly wish I would have stayed back to catch up on rest and enjoy the hotel amenities. The excursions were amazing. The elephant sanctuary you CAN NOT MISS. The lady boy show was truly incredible with the costumes, music, different stage setups etcPatty and Yui were the best tour guides you can ask for. They were FULL of energy and kindness and knowledge of their country. Always full of laughs, jokes, songs on the bus...anything you needed or wanted they got it for you. We had the BEST time with them. They are so genuine and humble. I miss them both terribly. They became part of our family and we hope to never lose touch with them.We made so many new friends on our adventure.My only complaint would be the airline we had to use which was China Eastern air. The food was terrible and the service was not friendly at all. Besides that, the rest of the trip was enlightening. I would highly recommend a visit to Thailand and using Affordable World.

Our trip went very well, no unwanted surprises. Greece is beautiful in May, particularly Mykonos and Santorini. The hotels were all very nice and modern, the included breakfast was great. The tour of the Parthenon and museum was great (be prepared for a lot of walking and bring water to stay hydrated). The walking tours on the islands were nothing special, we couldnt even hear the tour guide most of the time (would have been good if they used earphones like was used for the Parthenon). We didnt do any of the optional tours but heard they were good. All of the transfers went as planned and there was always a local guide to meet us at the new destination. The price was comparable to if you booked everything on your own.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of our tour. For the price, we had excellent accommodations at 5 star resorts in each city. We did a tour through Thailand and Beijing. Audi was our guide through Thailand, who was phenomenal. He went over and above to make sure each person in the group was catered to. Leo was the guide for Beijing and was mediocre but lacked the charm that we experienced with Audi. Overall, I can not complain about the trip at all. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely do it again.

The rates were unbelievably low and we were given clean, safe, and high quality hotels and transportation at no extra cost. The food that was provided with the program was delicious every time and the tour guides gave us plenty of options for different restaurants to visit for our other meals. Every excursion was a phenomenal experience and the tour guides in each area were lovely. Make sure you budget in a good tip for them, they work hard for it!! My only regret is not booking more of the optional excursions as people in our group were saying they had a great time visiting elephants and different islands. This deal seemed too good to be true but I will be booking with affordable world as much as I possibly can in the future!

We did the 11 day tour to Thailand and China. 7 days in Thailand was amazing. Tour guide was outstanding and informative. Everyday there was a tour set up for us in the morning time. Showed us many places. And they offered optional tours for the rest of the afternoon. We didn’t purchase any additional tours because we wanted the rest of the afternoon to roam around and explore. Such beauty everywhere. Stayed at 4 different hotels. All 5 stars. Hotel #1and #4 were wonderful! Wish we spent more time there. Hotel #2 and #3 wasn’t as nice. The exterior was nice but the rooms were basic and the food sucked. But overall we had a great time in Thailand!We spent two days in Beijing, China. Day one was a tour to the forbidden city. And day two was a tour to the Great Wall of China. We thought that the tours were included just like In Thailand. But no, we had to pay additional to join the group for those tours. If we did not purchase those tours we would just be stuck at the hotel with nothing to do. We were really upset about that and that gave us a bad taste in our mouths as we do not ever want to visit there again. The two days felt like two weeks and we wanted to just hurry up and get home. The Great Wall of China was the most beautiful thing that we seen there. Other than that everything was mediocre at best.

Would give 5 stars if not for the following:In Mykonos the hotel staff, a strapping young man, led us to our room which was up a deep incline but did not pull our luggage, which he seemed to enjoy me, a senior, struggling with. And the same occurred with others on the tour.In Athens we were provided ferry tickets. Our guide said we’d leave the luggage in a paddock in ground level but that was not the case, everyone in the tour was required to carry their own luggage up several flights of stairs and then, as the throng of people were scurrying to find seats, navigate crowded hallways with our luggage looking for the area our reserved seats were located. No one prepares us for this or told us where our seats were. The tour travelers ourselves aided each other but it was a sweaty harrowed experience at best. Then we all had to lug our luggage down a few flights of crowded stairs when the ferry landed.Other than this the tour was excellent. The hotel accommodations were nice and the breakfasts were delicious. The buses were luxurious. The guides were helpful and informative other than what I mentioned. We would travel with affordable again.

We went on the China and Thailand trip with Affordable World. The tour guides were great and the hotels were in a great location and great quality. We had a lot of fun while on our trip. Why four stars though is for a couple of reasons. For one they expect you to trip everyone and everything even in culture that tipping is not a thing. You tip your driver, the boat guy, the guides (which I understand, but their suggested amount is very high). The next thing is every guided tour is very tourist trap, the guide will take you straight to a high pressure sale situation where you dont want to buy any of the items and feel it is a waist of your time. For example one tour was to see a gem factory. From the itinerary it sounded cool being able to see how they cut and prepare stones. What it actually was is they filed us in to watch a video just showing pretty jewelery, after they left us into a jewelry store with one sales rep per person. No one in the group wanted something and it was a waste of time. Any group included lunches were very touristy food and not very great. I guess this is what is expected with a tourist group. Also the flights were cheap airlines, bad seats, and bad times and layovers. The Trip over all was very fun and Affordable World made planning for the trip easy and affordable. There are just somethings I didnt like not having control over like my seat on the plane and layover times that will make me not go through a travel group again.

My husband and had a fabulous time on our recent 20th wedding anniversary trip to Beijing, Bangkok and Phuket with Affordable World! The entire trip was well planned and flowed very smoothly. Usually we plan and book our vacations ourselves, but for this trip we decided a guided tour would help significantly with the language barrier. It was definitely the right decision! Our guides (“Henry” in China & Alis in Thailand) were amazing. Both spoke English very well, were incredibly knowledgeable. They did a wonderful job taking care of our group. Their assistance and narration throughout the trip, taught us so much greatly enhanced our experience. Without their explanations and little blue Affordable World flags to guide us, we (literally) would have lost in the crowds. Instead, the entire trip flowed smoothly and even among the largest crowds, we felt safe and comfortable. Our group was large, but both guides were so attentive & personable that it never felt that way. We made great friends & really enjoyed getting to know others in our group. The hotels were all top notch. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible!! I was a bit disappointed before our trip when Affordable World notified us that the hotel in Phuket had been changed, because we had upgraded to an ocean from room when we booked the trip. The hotel we ended up in was not as centrally located but it was great with a beautiful (uncrowded) beach and excellent amenities. The couples massage we booked at the spa there on the last day was fantastic. All of the optional tours we took were awesome. We checked quite a few items off of our bucket list: visiting the Great Wall of China, bathing elephants, riding in tuk-tuks etc. Because of the long international flights, we asked Affordable World if we could upgrade our seats to business class and the cost was definitely worth it!! We also booked a couple great side tours on our own in the Phi Phi islands (kayaking and swimming with the bioluminescent plankton- also checked off of our bucket list). My husband and I had the time of our lives on this trip to China and Thailand. We highly recommend booking with Affordable World and we are already thinking about using them for our next adventure.

This tour was less than expected.The flight connections were terrible.The group was extremely large - 112 people, 3 buses and 3 guides.During our time in Thailand, we made friends with those on our busand enjoyed some of the tours.When we left Thailand to go to Beijing, we were moved to a new group who we did not know and we felt very much like outsiders.We had to be out of our room in Thailand at 12 noon. We were picked up at 2 PM after sitting for 2 hours in the lobby. The flight was not until 7:30 PM. We did not arrive in Beijing until 2 AM and luggage for 46 would not fit so some held their check luggage in their lap for the 1 hour + bus ride. We finally arrived at our hotel around 15 or 16 hours later – all for a 5 hour flight.46 was way too many people for one group.The tours were crazy - trying to keep 46 people together.Several people were always late and we were forced to wait 15 to 20 minutes for them -sitting on a bus. They should have been left behind.We had other friends on a Thailand tour and they were in a group of 14 with one guide. They were on our plane and we assumed we were on the same tour.Once in Thailand, they split off from us. We saw them with their small group one day at lunch. We saw them again on our flight home.Their experience was fantastic.I would not recommend this Tour Company to anyone.There were too many inequities and our groups were too large.There were tour options added once we arrived that were better than the ones we had purchased.We tried to switch and were not allowed to do so.I am surprised that such a high percent of the reviews that I read were extremely positive.I will say that the hotels were very good and the day on the River Kwai and the Elephant ride were great.I felt cheated out of money for the dinner with Thai Dance Show and Night Market.This should be removed from the tours.Everyone felt that the food was terrible and the show was a few dancers on a small raised platform doing some dances. It was not impressive.The Night Market shops were expensive & we found nothing to buy at a reasonable price.I may never eat in a buffet again. We should have been told that all meals were buffets.All in all, I am glad we saw Thailand.It is a beautiful country & the people are very nice.Beijing is very clean, nice people and VERY crowded.The tour guides did the best they could with these very large groups.Next time I will do more research and try to make sure that we are on a tour where we feel like we are not cattle being herded from place to place.

Amazing! My brother and I took a trip to Japan (Japan Discovery) & we loved every second of it. Our tour guide Satake was very knowledgeable and helped answer any questions and give tips on good places to eat at and places to visit in our free time.Our group was only 16 and it was a great experience to get to know some wonderful people while being in such an amazing place.Accommodations are nice-- nothing too fancy, but very comfortable. Thailand - The trip was the trip of a lifetime. My wife and I never felt that language was a barrier. We had an attentive tour guide (Patti) who was with us every step of the way, and we had enough structure so that there was never a waste of time seeing anything in Thailand, yet enough flexibility that we could go out and enjoy time away from the rest of the tour.Again, our tour guide (Patti) made this trip! We emphasize that she was with us literally EVERY step of the way. She saved us money, called taxis for us, arranged for private events, you name it. We were real skeptical when we booked for Japan and China tour. To our surprise it turned out to be one in a life time experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. They spoke good English and were eager to help making our trip a very comfortable. Two comments how ever needs to be mentioned. One that hotel at Lake Kawagichi had no working A/C in some rooms. It was part Japanese style and we had to remove shoes in the lobby, though they did provide slippers. May be that was for us to have taste of Japanese life.China tour was also great. One thing needs to be mentioned that the guide asked all to tip him $10 per person per day. Most of fellow tourist thought that was high and should have been left for each tourist to decide how much to tip if any.Overall great trip at very reasonable cost.

Honestly, i was a bit nervous buying the deal off groupon (especially for a trip on the other side of the world). The company made everything so easy and safe I cant believe i was worried in the first place! The tour options itself were great but to top it off we had the BEST tour guide ever, Ms. Patty! Highly recommend using them & def request her if traveling to Thailand. She went above and beyond to help us, knew & explained all the history and facts on the tour in a fun way unlike most tour guides who can be quiet boring. The only issue I had with the trip was I previously booked for September and had to change it to November (which happened to be no issue for them to change which was good.) However i was told I would be credited 100.00 for each passenger since their was a price difference and never was. Someone made a mistake some where and I am contacting them for a complete/correct answer. Even with that mishap, I would still recommend the company, mainly because Patty was that amazing!! Kitty especially went out of her way to help us find and book extra activities that we wanted to do! The only negative thing I experienced was the airline seat booking prior to the trip - I wish they can make that part easier and allow you to choose seats directly instead of going through the airlines. My sister and I just returned from the Thailand Bangkok/Phuket trip. We felt it was a good value for the money. It was well organized, the hotels very nice and a good mixture of sightseeing on the itinerary. Our guides Noom and Poy were communicative (they always let us know what to expect time, place and what to bring wise), knowledgeable and very friendly. We couldn’t have asked for better guides. We did the hotel upgrade in Phuket. It was a very nice hotel, a good location on Bang Tao Beach in walking distance of restaurants. We heard from others in our groups that the standard included hotel was nice as well. We did not do any of the add on tours through Affordable World but others who did all said they were pleased with all the tours. One small suggestion, it would be helpful to know prior to booking that the elephant tour was a 3-4 hour drive each way. We were pleased with this trip (great guides can make or break a trip). We will definitely book other trips through Affordable World.

This trip was PHENOMENAL!! from beginning to end. My wife and I are ready to go again. Audi, our tour guide was absolutely the best!! He was available 24/7 and there was nothing that he didn’t know. Audi is an asset to the company. There was another guide, Thon, who was helpful as well. The Amari Watergate in Bangkok gets five stars from me. It was beautiful and its food was savory!! The staff was fantastic. The tours were great. The DinnerCruise was very nice. There was just one negative. The band played several songs and took a break. The break lasted at least 45 minutes!! The excuse given was that they wanted to be respectful of some holiday. The excuse sounded good until we noticed the other boats partied the whole time!! The weather was great, 94F during the day and 78F at night. The humidity was very high. The Thai food from the street venders was awesome and the shopping was great. We departed Bangkok for Phuket via air. The flight on Nok Air wasn’t as comfortable as the China Eastern flight from JFK airport but it was only 90 minutes or so. Our group made the whole experience fun. We stayed at the Novotel hotel in Phuket. It was very nice and situated on Kamala Beach. That in itself was an experience. Massages on the beach ($10 an hour) were worth every penny. Food from the vendors was delicious. We took the PhiPhi beach tour which was nice. The snorkeling was the best that my wife had ever experienced.Three was so very much to do in both locations but my favorite was Bangkok.Recommendations: Get compression socks to reduce the feet and leg swelling from the long flights. Walk around on the plane every two hours or so. Make sure you have TSA Locks on your luggage so that you don’t have to have your luggage detained in China. Pack lightly. One suitcase should do. You are only allowed 44 pounds when traveling from Bangkok to Phuket. A small empty carryon can be helpful for all of your purchases. Pack a foldable carryon for purchases that you make. Be sure to get a two hour massage in Bangkok $33. Relax and smile.......

Recently returned from a trip from Los Angeles that took my gf and I to the Maldives. It was a wonderful trip. The only concern I had was that we purchased a VIP Lounge Pass round trip during our layovers in Shanghai, China, and both ways, the Lounge were unable to verify we had rights to use their facility. This took 30 minutes of using Google translate and calling Affordable World offices (lucky we were there within their hours of business) to verify that we had indeed purchased the passes well in advance before the trip. I treated my 2 adult children to a 10 day Thailand vacation and we all had a wonderful time. Our guide was Sharky (and Panda helped out) and he was very kind and attentive. There was a lot going on during the tour (my first) and it got a little tiring at times but we opted out of some of the optional events and had a chance to head off on our own, which was nice. I liked the variety of experiences, from the bustling city to rural/remote areas. The tour to Japan was jam-packed full of the most beautiful places in Japan. Ive waited years to get there and this tour made it happen. The tour guide was amazing and assisted everyone with all our questions. Overall, the tour was amazing. If I had one complaint, it would be that youre on a tight schedule. Its probably for the best though. Otherwise youd literally spend one full day just at the first temple you saw. Everything there is just that beautiful.

I took the China and Thailand tour and had a fantastic time. It was worth every penny. The tour guides (Jeffery in China and Noom in Thailand) were really helpful with tips on what to do and not to do, things to eat and things to see. I was worried some of the thing on our itinerary would not be for me but i enjoyed every single one. I would 100% take another tour with them. They held my hand EVERY single step of the way so the fear of a culture shock quickly went away.

We went on a 10 day tour of Bangkok and Phuket and it was amazing! Our tour guide sharkie was funny and very helpful. The optional tours of the temples gave you plenty of time to explore and the accommodations were beautiful. My only ask is they consider getting a hotel in Phuket closer to downtown. We were staying in a more remote area, but still a beautiful hotel. Great experience. Would do it again!

I recently returned from this tour with Affordable World in March, 2019. Ton and Noom were our guides and they were fantastic and over the top accommodating. My daughter and I were in Bangkok and Phuket. The accommodations were very nice. We went to the Elephants World Sanctuary for a day and it was amazing. In Phuket we went to James Bond Island and Phi Phi Island and they were both breath taking. Phi phi island was the best because we stopped and snorkeled and got to swim in the clear water. James Bond Island was more about the scenery boating to and from the island....however we stopped at a temple and were able to feed monkeys prior to that boat ride and that was a bonus. The only thing they did on this tour that wasnt for me was stop at a Gem Store which I took a cab somewhere else(with the assistance of Ton). I would do this tour over again it was absolutely my favorite, I was recently in China with another agency and would not use them again(Rewards Travel China). I will definitely not hesitate to go on another Affordable World tour, thank you Ton and Noom for the wonderful memories!

Thailand is somewhere our group of 4 has never experienced. Affordable world especially with our travel guide Ton made it the best trip ever. He was there every step of the way. Even offering help outside of the groups planned irtinerary. The excursions were flawlessly planned and the views were spectacular I can’t say enough good things about this experience. The price was well worth it and would do it over and over again. Thank you Ton!

I did the Bangkok/Phuket tour, and it was amazing. The tour isnt that expensive, and offers a good mix of tours and free time. All the excursions, even the ones that were offered as part of the package, were well thought out. I would absolutely go again. My only regret is that I didnt stay longer. Shout-out to Yui, whos the best tour guide anyone could ask for!

Absolutely fantastic... from the 5 star hotels, to the tour guides...everything was fantastic. I needed help with booking a room for my daughter who was joining us...they handled everything....it felt like a big family with our tour guides. We did the 13 day Beijing, Thailand and Phuket trip - do not hesitate - everything went as planned. Loved, loved, loved Kathy in Beijing and Oh in Thailand/Phuket - I miss them already!

This tour was great! Our guides were fantastic. They heard back from us about what we wanted to experience and added it in if we had time. So we added a war memorial and paid the minimal entrance fee. We also all the Delta day tour. It was fantastic! It had so much in that one tour. The overnight Da Long Cruise is a dream. If I had this to do again, I would do this cruise for another night. It was relaxing and beautiful. I would use Affordable World again in a heartbeat! My introduction was through this tour via Groupon. I will now use them independently!

Honestly, better than we expected. We had never traveled using an agency before but Affordable Asia was amazing. Our tour guides were perfect, the lodging was nice and the optional tours were great. We partook in two of the tours and loved both. The transportation everywhere was an unexpected bonus. I would definitely book through Affordable Asia again in the future.

Traveled to Bangkok and Phuket on 11/25 - 12/4. This was our first trip with a tour company and it went extremely well, despite my apprehension about buying a Groupon travel deal. Our tour guide Patty was excellent, she spoke great English, was very funny and entertaining the entire trip and gave great advice about what to do, scams to look out for, and how much to tip people for different activities. The hotels included in the tour were exceptional, we stayed at the Centara Grand in Bangkok and the Phuket Novotel Kamala Beach in Phuket. Patty was able to arrange a massage therapist from Wat Pho to come to our hotel room to give us Thai massages, and it was the best massage I had the entire trip, considering I had 4 massages in 7 days. The included tours were ok, if you like temples they were great. The visit to the Gem factory was annoying, each couple had a salesperson following them around and helping them, which would have been great if I was really interested in buying jewelry, but I wasnt so it was irritating.The optional excursions we opted for were good. The Elephant ride, floating market and raft down the river Kwai was awesome! The Phi Phi island tour was ok, the speedboat was jam packed with people, you couldnt see anything as we were traveling and the Kai island stop at the end of the day was ok, it was such a tiny island jam packed with tourist, snorkeling was ok, my mask would not stay tight and the life vests were all generally too big. Maya Bay was beautiful, just lots of tourist as well.Overall, I would recommend trips with Affordable Asia, they made it so easy for us, I didnt have to worry about and plan the details of the trip, they took care of the airfare, hotels, transportation, all breakfasts, as well as included and optional activities. The level of service and quality of accommodations on this trip was exceptional. The long layover and travel times from the west coast was not ideal, but a small price to pay for such a great trip. It also just so happened that the other people in our tour group (mostly couples and the same age group as ourselves, late 20s to late 30s) were great and we made some good friends.

We got this package for our honeymoon and it was nothing but perfect. It exceeded all of our expectations and more. From the hotels, resorts, tours to transportation. Hotels and resorts were beautiful and had amazing views. Front staff was great and very helpful. We stayed at The Moxy in Athens, San Marco Resort in Mykonos and El Greco in Santorini. Tour guides were so informative and very friendly. Transportation was always on time. We can’t wait to book another trip with Affordable World.

Affordable world has a great trip to Greece, I was really skeptical going with them but it was awesome! I met some amazing/ life long friends on this trip. The only thing I will say as to why I gave this 4 stars, I felt as though the trip was jam packed and there wasnt alot of time to relax or explore on your own. Also the hotels, unless you upgrade are kind of far away from everything.. I loved the hotel we stayed at in Mykonos, the other hotels we just okay to me. I was not impressed with the hotels, the group members that did upgrade seemed very pleased, however thats an additional cost. Still highly recommend if you wanna do a small group tour!

I took this exact trip last year with my son and was so extremely impressed with all aspects of this trip that I brought my wife back this year. The pace itinerary are perfect. I never felt rushed from stop to stop, all of the sights are interesting and relevant. The logistics of the trip are worked out perfectly. We are picked up on time, returned on time, met when and where we were supposed to be met. The accommodations and transportation are excellent! Very nice hotels and newer busses with good air conditioning. But the very best part of this package deal is the quality of the guides. Last year my son and I were part of a smaller group and had two guides. This year the group was larger and we had three guides. Sharkey, Alice, and Yui were our guides and they work incredibly hard to make the trip a trip of a lifetime for each of the group members. The personal touches evident all throughout the trip were awesome. I had actually toured with Sharkey last year as well and was very happy to see him again. All of the guides were consistently excellent and worked very well together to ensure that this larger group was able to achieve the trip of their dreams exceeding expectations the entire time. I would highly recommend not only this tour but Affordable World based on my experiences with both! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Booked the Maldives trip...the Hotel was AMAZING! Affordable World could be better. Communication between myself and Affordable World was lacking--it was very hard to get a response from them via email and their chat never seemed to work. We also paid more to be upgraded to an overwater bungalow--sunset side, which cost more, and we were placed on the sunrise side. Cost way!!! more to do so through Affordable World, hotel offered the upgrade directly for much cheaper!! Hotel did all they could to make it right, yet we were still never placed in the correct room...and I still havent heard back from Affordable World about this issue and its been almost 2 weeks...

Where do I start? Sa-wa-dee-kha. To just say this trip was great is truly an understatement!! I had read the reviews before booking and only hoped to get the tour guide Oh. But, when we arrived in Thailand and she introduced herself I became even more excited. She was the main reason for making this trip amazing! Her candor and honesty was so helpful. She taught us how to barder to get the best prices to how to give an appropriate tip! The pride and love she showed for the country was indescribable! I was able to go on this trip with my husband as well as my two adult children. We all had an incredible time! We took part of many of the optional tours. We enjoyed them all(some more than others).My personal favorite was the Elephant Sanctuary. To know that the did animal rescue and the love and respect they showed toward the animals were evident it the way they all responded to us as well as the workers. The food options that were given to us were all amazing. We made connections with people on this tour we would have never met. Everyone (with the exception of one couple)appeared to have a great time. I look forward to booking more tours with Affordable Tours. It did not disappoint!

The best of the best! Second time in Thailand with affordable world, except this time it included Shanghai. Thailand is the country that has my heart. Lots of temples, amazing food and the nicest people you’ll meet. The tour itself was well organized, with decent amount of excursions and sight seeing. Shanghai as a city was amazing, but not a lot to do, not a lot of temples, mostly skyscrapers and fashion/ shopping stores, but definitely worth the visit. Thailand is the best, and the best part of the tour was our tour guide Poy from Thailand. The sweetest, nicest most helpful guide you’ll ever meet. She helped us 24/7. Remember, on your days/ evenings when there’s no tour, go out grab a tuk tuk, taxi or metro, and explore the city on your own. Ask the tour guide or grab a map, there’s PLENTY of things to do or see in Thailand on your own time.

We already miss our Affordable World trip to Japan! We had a decent idea of what to expect based on descriptions and such, but I do wish there was a more detailed itinerary presented ahead of time.That really didnt matter though because our guide Takako, who was with us during the entire trip, was great! We had a few people in our group who made it their mission to find something to complain about (and for very petty things like moving their luggage from bus to sidewalk without telling, LOL), but that didnt stop the guide from being just as courteous and professional to all. Those bad reviewers, pay little mind to them as they might just be blowing tiny issues out of proportion. She made the trip more memorable for us! Deservedly good tip, earned!The tour offered plenty of self-tour time for those who did their own research before coming (very few did, which surprised me. Read up in where youre going all!). We did specifically timed tours with the group (temples, etc), and those balanced out well with our free roaming.Verizons $10 / day travel pass from the US worked like hot garbage. We got it for 1 phone to keep up with phone text, then got a 10gb sim card in Japan for the other cell phone (super easy to do). That setup worked well.The hotels were nice and in accessable areas, except for Osaka, it was too far south imo, but the hotel was very nice! No breakfast there though, unlike the others before it. Mt Fuji resort hotel was not as nice due to very thin walls in the room (and harder bed), but they had a great overlook to the mountain, offered free dinner, and were very hospitable.The city choices were great, I wish we added on some extra time though, as there wasnt enough in each area! Great previews I suppose. In Osaka, the tour should have cut out 1 stop completely before the hotel due to the far too limited time allowed. 30 minutes on Dotonbori was not worth the travel there. Rather, we went back to the area on our own later and spent a few more hours there!Overall, for the cost, you cant beat an opportunity and experience like this! We await our return to Japan.

We took a trip to Thailand and paid for upgraded accommodations. The hotel in Bangkok was excellent with and upgrade to a suite and allowances to go to the executive suite with amazing views of the city. In Phuket we paid for an upgrade as well to a better resort, it was not worth it at all. We had a standard room that was supposed to be an upgrade but the rest of our group went to the standard hotel and were offered upgrades to bigger rooms with spas on the balconies and more amenities. DO NOT UPGRADE IN PHUKET.Overall the trip was very enjoyable with a great tour guide but our experience in Phuket left us with a little sour taste in our mouths and we complained but the travel agent did absolutely nothing to accommodate for our sour experience in Phuket.

What a wonderful trip! I had to keep pinching myself to believe I was there! The Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, along with Mt Fuji and the bamboo grove in Japan were wondrous. And Beijing was a real surprise, as Amanda guided us through The Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Our accommodations in both Tokyo and Beijing were great. It was the trip of a lifetime and I’m so glad I went. Affordable World went above and beyond to take care of us.

My friend and I purchased the Exotic Bali 8 day deal and we cant recommend it enough. Such a great value for the money, honestly, I think youd be hard pressed to find a better deal for whats included in this package. Given it was our first time in Bali we loved having guides for part of the trip but also having plenty of time to explore on our own and take part in our own excursions.

This company provided us with an amazing tour of Japan with outstanding staff. Yoku our tour guide in Japan was so knowledgeable, patient, and informative. She provided us with a description and history of each place and also provided information on the general history and religion of Japan. Mochi our bus driver was so nice and is an excellent driver. He even had lots of umbrellas for us in case it rained. The bus was new, had WiFi, and was very comfortable. Everything was perfectly planned out to see the main places in Tokyo, Kyōto, Osaka, and Mount Fuji. We spent a perfect amount of time at each place. Our tour guide provided us with information on places to visit at each place on our free time. We did all the extra tours and it was perfect. We paid for premier hotels and the hotels were perfect. Very clean with attentive staff. The Mount Fuji hotel had an amazing view of Mount Fuji. The food they provided us was mostly buffets with very good food options. Our group consisted of about 35 people from all over the world and from all age groups. After a week of spending every day with everyone it somewhat felt like they became family. Everyone was so nice and respectful. It was a perfect vacation in Japan and we are so thankful to affordable world for making everything so convenient for us. I am planning on doing more tours with affordable world as they are amazing. So happy I found the perfect tour company! The only thing I might do different next time is maybe purchase their land only tour and purchase my own flight. As their flights are usually not direct flights and the lay over time Is sometimes long.

Ton, my tour guide made my Thailand trip amazing! Thank you Affordable World for appointing Ton as my tour guide! The trip had its ups and downs starting with seating assignments on the long departing flight. However, getting into Thailand, Ton noticed my Affordable World badge and tended to us right away. Bangkok was fun and had the best hotel, the Centara! Great, friendly staff and the room was outstanding! The mall is right next door along with Super Rich the easy currency exchange spot! The Floating Market.....awesome! Krungsri River Hotel in Ayutthaya was my least favorite hotel. Great scenic view, but needs upgrades. Loved Pattaya! The nightlife is interesting and the Coral island is beautiful! The Long Beach Garden Hotel is nice! All in all the Thailand Delight is delightful!
