Have used AR movers twice a year for the past 6 years. Sounds like a lot of moving, right? Every summer AR picks up our furnishings from storage, delivers to a summer rental and 4 months later reverses the process. So I’ve used AR approximately 12 times in 6 years!!! They are excellent, professionals. I love Derek who sets up everything and the crew of guys that show up are equally professional and accommodating. Not one complaint ever! And yes I find them to be not only efficient but very affordable as advertised!!!!

Extremely impressed with Affordable Reliable Moving Company. From speaking with the owner Derek to set up the move to Geo, Luis and Carlos who moved us making the experience so easy. The crew was very efficient, detail oriented, and also providing great customer service during the move. Everything was handled with care, no damages to anything. Would absolutely recommend this local business to anyone. Hopefully Im not moving again soon, but if I do Ill be using Affordable Reliable Moving Company.

I had three of their team member help us move to a new house back in early May after they helped my mother in law and two of my senior clients that needed move with great quality. The team members were professional and even helped move a piece of our furniture that was falling apart but fixing it properly that I really didn’t expect. There were on-time and commentated really well on what they were doing and their timeline.

We had them come out this morning for a labor only move. A Cabinet Murphy Bed still in its box and a large piece of Exercise equipment from the garage to upstairs rooms and then a large Oak File Cabinet from upstairs to garage. They arrived on time. Took the Cabinet Bed out of the box to move and it turns out it was in 2 pieces. They got it upstairs and assembled it for us. We probably wouldn’t have been able to do that on our own! They used shrink wrap on everything to protect during the move. Geo and Luis were amazing. We highly recommend them.

Have used D Affordable Reliable Moving Company several times, THEY ARE YHE BEST!!! Prompt, honest, reliable and extremely professional. Came out on a last minute request, wrapped all my belongings safely, moved everything efficiently and a pleasure to work with. Billing is detailed and easy to understand. What a great experience we had with AR Moving Company! I received excellent communication skills from Derek, who booked us for our move.We were worried about moving since we moved to a third floor level apartment and weren’t sure how movers would be able to handle the narrow staircase with some of our heavy bigger items like fridge, washer & dryer, and couch.Rick & Armando we’re our movers and lemme tell you, they were AMAZING! They arrived right on time to our house and got to work right away. They were super careful & QUICK, which we really appreciated. They were such nice guys and handled all of our items with care. They even finished the job faster than the estimated time and were super personable guys. They were a great team (Armando, Ken, Spencer, Jesse) and helped move a big house with lots of stuff - they really helped to make the impossible possible, especially with downsizing. I used them twice and every time I benefited from it. They were careful and diligent - the first time they helped me move stuff, the second time they helped me pack remaining stuff - closets and more. Were timely and efficient and did everything as needed. It was really nice and helpful to talk to Derek who I think owns the company. Would use again and highly recommend.

Top marks from beginning to end! AR Moving packed up our California house, stored everything safely in vaults for six months, and delivered on time to Idaho, in spite of a winter storm. This moving company was AMAZING from start to finish. The movers arrived early and they worked their butts off like no movers Ive ever seen before. The team that Derek put together at AR Moving was outstanding! Having moved numerous times during my time in the military, I have a lot of experiences to draw from and compare. AR Moving provided one of the best moving experiences I have had. His team showed up on time and got right to work. They were easy to work with, and they didn’t hesitate to ask questions to ensure you were getting what you needed from your move. One thing that was different from all of my other moves is that there wasn’t an inventory matching numbers to boxes/parts. I didn’t know how this would work regarding accountability of boxes and items, but it was a non-event. Derek was at the delivery and unloading of my goods, and he ensured every question was answered and all items were accounted for. Finally, the business model Derek has implemented makes his services far more affordable than all of the other movers I contacted. I saved a significant amount of money by going with AR Moving, but I didn’t sacrifice efficiency, quality, or safety. I am very satisfied with the value I received. I have already contacted AR Moving for another move for my son.

The guys who brought our stuff in did an excellent job. I was very impressed with how quickly they worked and how nice they were setting up our stuff. We had a wonderful experience with Affordable Reliable Moving. Derek and his team are awesome! They made my out of state move so easy! Derek responded promptly to all of my calls and even texted me back outside of normal business hours. All of the movers were great as well: they really put the move in movers! They were so fast and efficient and I never saw any of them even walking during the entire process unless they were carrying something particularly heavy. You could tell they were working hard because they were all sweating, pushing to get the job done as efficiently as possible even during a record heat wave and yet they still did it all with smiles on their faces and friendly, can-do attitudes! I hired AR Moving Company in October 2020. They wrapped all of my items with protective covers to ensure that nothing was damaged. They were fast and careful which meant a lot to me as I do have glass tables and artwork. They placed all of the furniture and boxes in the appropriate rooms. Moving is very stressful. Derek was very accommodating to our schedule and worked within the time frame needed for the move. He and his team made the move easy. They were on time, fast and efficient. I called ARM and thankfully they had a cancellation for the exact date that we needed a moving company. I thought the rate was a little high, but for last minute and a holiday, I was willing to pay it. The guys that moved us were extremely professional, took great care with our furniture and were friendly. We had a large move, six men and 2 trucks. They came at the agreed upon time they were supposed to and stayed until every piece of furniture was unloaded and placed in our new home! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a moving company.

I’m very sorry to write a one star review for this company. I have never done this before but in my opinion, the damage was too great to ignore. This company took on our moving job. We were unfortunately overseas and I did a walk through with the owner on video chat. He was in my property but I was overseas. At that time, he told me he would not be at the move, and I did feel nervous. He assured me that he would communicate thoroughly with his crew and his crew were good he said. I did say if they have any questions – to check with me at any time. I also told him I wanted a list with items and boxes numbered. He told me his men couldn’t do this that. So I told him I’d have an assistant do that then. So the day came.The day of the move was crazy, I attempted to call the owner from my location in Europe twice. I hired two part time assistants to help me label the boxes for me for a list. They answered the phone once and said it was crazy and chaotic. I told them to tell the moving men i was trying to get a hold of their boss....he later told me he got that message but never called me back. Instead of calling me to ask questions, the moving men tried to ask the people I hired to label the boxes but they didn’t know exactly what to do with my possessions, of course. So it was really chaotic as my assistant later told me. My assistant only answered one phone call. I said tell the men, I am trying to get a hold of their boss. I heard him say this to one of the workers and he they told him.At the end of the day the owner finally called back, all our stuff was not fitting in the truck so two trips had to be made,( surprise,) and more money was now needed than originally estimated. The owner discussed donating some of our items, in the end three beds with bed frames and a single bed frame was donated. In all the confusion. it seemed as if at least one nice table from West Elm was donated too without my approval. I wrote it off as partially a miscommunication - we were in Europe kind of thing and we were not thereSo, fast forward, we are moving back to the USA, first we go to our storage with a new moving company and a lot of our furniture is broken, 1) beveled glass from antique dresser broken 2). Three lamp shades were stuffed together to get in to one box ruining all of them. 3) Sadly, one wood antique vanity in pieces....the new moving company says it looked like they stacked lots of heavy boxes on it… 4) An antique chair back broken, 5) another chair leg broken, 6) a table leg broken, 7) an edge of a file cabinet broken. The furniture was lacking furniture blankets for protection, and it just looked like a total rush job .All together 10 things broken, because the lamp shades were three stuffed in one box!I contacted the owner, Derek, I sent photos of the damaged furniture and also a list from the second moving company, that we used to relocate to our new home. The list detailed the damaged items that were found in storage. The owner did not respond after that.

Derek worked everything out over the phone. Good morning a bar move we worked with Armando and two other guys. They jumped right in and got so busy I never did get their names. Armando walked us through the process on site. Everything went flawlessly! Weve worked with other Movers. But, AR moving was easier to set up an easier to get through the process. I think a great company starts from the top down. The leader or the owner always sets the tone for the experience moving forward. Derek was extremely responsive, professional and respectful throughout our initial conversation to set up a time for his movers to move our furniture . He communicated from the time we set the appointment up until even after his employees showed up. His movers were on time and extremely cautious moving our furniture from place to place. Again, his employees treated us with respect and did their job well. Which I think speaks volumes of the leadership. I will have to admit, this is the first time Ive ever hired a moving company that I now will not only recommend to everyone I know, but will absolutely hire them again.

I highly recommend AR moving to every family or household. They do an absolutely great job disassembling then reassembling back furniture items, fridge doors if needed, washer and dryer (disassembling only without assembling back due to liability reasons which I thought it was fair. However, they teach you and show you how to assemble it back together and they provide you with the tools needed) ...etc.I had an absolutely great experience with them and would definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone out there.

When I saw how many good reviews this company had, I figured I couldnt go wrong. I filled out a form on their website and had a call back and quote from Derek within hours. The quote included a truck, any blankets for protection, wrapping and maneuvering of big furniture, an estimated length of time the work would take, and the appropriate number of movers to load our household. All said and done, we actually came in under the quoted amount. Employees were personable, friendly, and easy to work with. They moved all furniture where we wanted it placed, and boxes to each room we designated. They were courteous about covid precautions and wore masks. We didnt have any assembly done, so I cant speak to that. The quality of service was worth what we paid, and I will recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

We used this company several times,we believe the quality and experience of the some of the new employees is not good.They do not take care of your furniture, they dented my refrigerator which was 2 months old, broke my fans, scratched other items. They worked slow so the hourly rate would add up. They came late both days. The reason it toke 2 days was the slow movement. Then they loaded my items and told us it was to late to deliver it at the new home.We had to rent a hotel.They had loaded our deep freezer on the truck so our food was defrosting.They came to move me with a truck that was too small and it toke 2 hours for the guy to go get another truck. Then at then end the owner never told me what the total cost would be. Then he want thousands more.I was not informed. Nice guy but not a good mover, not organized, not qualified to pack a truck without damage.They work really slow to add up costs. Then owner tells you he will fix items but you will not here from him again..lots of stress.

Their team had the task of moving my father from a one bedroom independent living apartment to a studio sized assisted living apartment in the same building. There were several large challenges. My father was 100 years old and was not very mobile so everything needed to be packed by the movers and moved and placed with little guidance. I had to spend as much of the day as I could also reassuring my father that he was going to be happy And comfortable in his new smaller home. The movers helped me to decide on the placement of furniture and even on which pieces would fit and which wouldn’t. They had only one day to accomplish all of this. I needed to put my 100 year old father to bed in his new apartment at the end of the day. The team was hard working, efficient, flexible, understanding, and very compassionate! They were phenomenal. They even had to take a load of over-flow items to the garage of my home a couple of miles away. ( Honestly, my father was very upset with this move and was very rude and difficult -he was frightened. And I was in over my head. I was not able to provide appropriate guidance to the movers. Oh where to begin? From the onset, the moving professionals at ARMoving were just a pleasure to work with. The packing team, the loaders, the drivers, were not just good at their jobs, they were good with ME. Moving is a very emotional, physically draining endeavor and theres no element that just came easy. The guys were SO patient when much of the time I was a crazy woman! They were efficient without being pushy, they were effective without being demanding. Above all they were patient, with a calm demeanor that was a perfect complement to offset the highly charged intensity of the situation. Even on the unloading end, we were met with a local team that worked together to ensure a delivery that was equally smooth as the send off. This was my second move with Derek and his team and he continues to amaze me that such a young man could show so much leadership and management finesse. I just cant recommend Derek and ARMoving enough. Im thrilled that I dont ever intend to move again, but if I did, I would only entrust the details to Derek and his incredible team!

Update:Thanks for the reply, but I am pretty much over it. It was just an expensive lesson to learn for me not to trust packers. This was about 2 years ago. I figured that if you were going to keep asking for a review, I would give you one.Original:They might be fine for very short local moves. But I would not hire them to pack for a cross country move. There was quite a bit of damage to many items. I bought straps for them to use while packing. When the trailer was unpacked, none of the straps were used.While they were getting items ready for packing in the trailer they wrapped a large screen tv in paper instead of a box like I requested. They did end up putting it in a box.But of course it was still one of the many damaged items.I would strongly suggest getting other insurance. Otherwise you might get 60 cents per pound of damaged items. I wish I would have. I had to pay over $300 to replace sleep number mattresses they damaged. At $0.60 a pound they would pay about $24 of that. I could go on about the damage, but I think you get the idea.I also only wrote this because they kept sending emails to rate them.

The moving company cancelled my move date without letting me know. The moving company would not honor that date even though the recognized they made an error, so I had to change my closing date for the alternative date. I never received an explanation or apology from the sales person, who I believe was a contracted individual and not an employee. The company provided a minimal discount off the move because of the incident, but nowhere near the amount commensurate with the error or inconvenience . After the move and the bill was provided, it turned out that they did not accurately reflect all the fees in the estimate, so I ended up having to pay more than what was provided in writing prior to the move. Overall, the process was very poor with multiple mistakes and a lack of any real accountability.
