We just had a birthday party for my nine year-old daughter at Aesthetic Climbing Gym in Lake Forest.It was so great! Trevor, the owner/manager really came through when we had a schedule obstacle. He reached out in a timely manner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was lined up, and covered every concern. His team was super friendly and helpful yet laid-back and easy-going with 14 kids who were anxious to explore and climb:)The party room was the perfect size, lots of space to decorate and had really cool live edge tables. It was close to some walls for the kids to practice climbing before they went down stairs to do bigger climbs. There were lots of levels from beginners to advanced. Many kids had never climbed before and parents said they want to go back for more since the party!Super easy to take food, snacks, drinks, dessert, very accommodating. Highly recommend Aesthetic for all climbers. Thank you Trevor for a memorable and adventurous birthday party!

This is the best indoor rock climbing gym in Orange County by far! The people that work here are all super cool and really friendly and helpful! The climbing routes are always really well thought out and they are great about changing out the routes on a regular basis so that they don’t get stale and there is always something new to climb. Also the place is very reasonably priced! We come here often and will continue to do so! If you want a cool spot to have some fun this is your place!

From the first call where Trevor answered to the birthday party where Peter guided the participants - Aesthetic Climbing gym has been first class in service. The area for eating has two large and beautiful wood tables and benches, fridge, and private restroom for one. It overlooks the belaying area and has swaying doors that open to an upstairs smaller bouldering area.From the moment I walked in to the time I was paying - they made the experience fun and enjoyable. I recommend getting anyone’s party done here from age 3 to 150. It looked so fun that I want to repeat it for my gal pals!

Aesthetic Climbing Gym is my wife and my favorite climbing gym to go to. All of the workers are extremely friendly and helpful. Trevor, Dillon, and Brent were all very knowledgeable about everything and kept it very professional while maintaining a closeness you can only get at a local place through our visits. I am always extremely satisfied when I leave the gym due to reasonable pricing for Day Passes, equipment rentals, and memberships. We will be going again soon especially when they finish putting together their upper deck walls!TL;DR: Aesthetic is amazing with kind owners/employees, and reasonable pricing.

Visited this gym for a competition.My daughter was in competition required isolation, and ended up forgetting here lululemon jacket in the isolation space.Called the gym and they identified the jacket... I emailed a pre paid postage label and its been 8 weeks... still no jacket.Called once, spoke with the same person who remembered me, she said shed ask again... still no jacket.Bummed, now iIve lost over $100 on a jacket I know they have... plus the shipping I paid for.

Ive never been climbing before without a harness, but this place made it easy to transition. Obvious I started out on the harness then transitioned to the walls without them. Once you understand the color scheme of the walls everything makes sense. Dont assume all colors are fair game. That was my first mistake. The staff if very friendly and is willing to show you the ropes, very laid back and patient. Will visit again.

Friendly and helpful staff. This place creates a great community. I climb here as does my 5 year old son and its great. One wall changes about every week, I think 5 walls in rotation. So there are plenty of areas to move around for new climbs and practicing personal goals on ones still up. Really great for families with young kids too!

Solid bouldering gym! Unfortunately, they were setting some routes, so we couldn’t climb in the cove area. The routes were fun and some were creative. The one star knock is because some of their holds are caked in rubber and shoes slide right off. It adds to the challenge, but I don’t think that’s the intent! Also, similarly colored routes next to each other caused some confusion.

The staff her are 10/10 and the setting is interesting and fun. The holds are very hard on the skin tho so it isnt as good a training environment as other gyms. They also havent reset at all in the month I have been here (while my other, less expensive gym reset 4 walls) and the facility isnt very nice; that along with this being the most expensive gym in OC by far (almost 2x as expensive as the closest competition; they even advertise competitive pricing which is just delusional) makes me unable to recommend this gym over any of the competition.

Tried to schedule a birthday party for my son and his friends. We requested one owner to be there since we had met him before. The other owner, Trever, strung us along for days trying to sell us on the party before reluctantly admitting that the owner we requested was no longer a part of the gym. He was very difficult to deal with and was incredibly unprofessional.Edit: I’m glad you remember that, I hope you also remember me saying that I’m practically deaf and didn’t want to miss any information so I like to deal in emails which I can read. My issue was not getting a hold of you, it was the condescending way I was spoken to and lack of professionalism that was shown on your end.

Worst rock climbing experience ever! I went with my daughter who is a minor to try the gym. They charge day pass $20 for day pass, not bad, right? Oh, boy, so wrong. I didnt climb, to belay my daughter, I had to rent two harnesses. And for belaying, they dont have the carabiners and belay devices on the ropes, you have to use car keys to check out the device because they worry about your stealing their belaying devices! Even as an experienced belayer, I dont know how to hook the rope to the belaying device, I had to pay for belaying lesson again! Let me tell you my final cost to try them, $20+4x2+6+10+6=$44, for about 1 hour stay. Let alone the inconvenience of hooking up the belaying device on each rope climbing! Totally a rip off! I would not recommend this place at all, not worth your money spent! Stay away and go somewhere that you are trusted as customers! The worst! I can give rate of 0 if I can!

Friendly staff and great boulder setting here. Reasonable price and includes all rentals. Members get 2 guest passes per month, so its easy to get people to try something new out! Really chill vibes and music playing throughout the gym. Awesome place to make friends and have a good time climbing.

This is by far my favorite climbing gym to go to. I have been going here since I was a junior in high school and it has only gotten better over the years. The owners, Trevor, Dillon, and Brent, and the entire staff are all kind and encouraging people. Any time I have climbed there I have been cheered on by the fellow climbers, and the staff has helped me solve routes multiple times. The environment is professional, and at the same time I still get the local gym feel where everyone knows each other. I will definitely be getting a membership again here soon, and I recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Thanks for the amazing times and memories!!

I hadnt gone rock climbing in a couple years, so I was definitely looking for a nonjudgmental place to go. The staff was incredible, and they were very helpful in teaching my friends and I the basics. We started with top-rope and the staff was very patient and helpful showing us the methods. After about 5-10 minutes of training, they actually let us belay one another and left us on our own (The ropes were secured in the ground, they took the highest safety measures possible to ensure the well being of their customers). The staff was always nearby if you needed them, but they gave you a lot of space and privacy if you didnt seek them out, which was very nice. Also, they had very mellow background music playing which gave it a calm and tranquil atmosphere that really let you get in the zone. Oh, and of course the big one: price. $15 for a full day pas that includes the harness, shoes, and a chalk pack?? Simply incredible. I honestly felt like I had cheated them out by the amount of enjoyment I got out of my visit for such a small price. Simply put, if youre in the southern California region and looking for a place to rock climb, go to Aesthetic Climbing Gym, you wont regret it.

So far Ive been here, sender one, hanger 18 Riverside and hanger 18 Lake Forest. If your focus is bouldering then this is the best place for unique and inventive routes so far. There is a good variety of holds, surfaces and angles. There are also sport, rope, and a few training rooms including a very fun boogie board for balance!Great if you want to get away from a corporate atmosphere, the staff climbs, everyone is pretty friendly and very relaxed.They have classes and training, but if youre high maintenance you might want to steer clear. This place is pretty tucked away and doesnt have a large staff like you would see at a place like sender one, but its also like half the cost, and if you just need to get in climb and get out without all the extra bother then you found your place.They have incorporated a slack line at times (which you should demand that they reinstall). Climbing rope, rings, and you should request silks too or any other feature thats appropriate.They also have a group on, so make sure to check that out and save yourself some money .Climb on!

The Aesthetic Climbing Gym is such a fun place to go to! It has an upstairs bouldering area as well as ropes down stairs and more bouldering. Absolutely amazing. Taller walls than Hangar 18 in San Clemente. Bouldering, top roping, lead climbing, this gym has it all. They reset the routes every couple months. They have competitions, classes, beer and bouldering Fridays, and theyre open late every night except Sunday. Membership price is extremely reasonable, especially if you have a student ID.

It was my first time going to a rock climbing gym so I didnt have any expectations to begin with. I learned that they had both bouldering and harness climbing. It was small for what I thought a rock climbing gym would look like... Their wasnt a whole lot of variety. It felt very local, the people there seemed like they all know each other and go regularly. The people there were all very laid back. The front desk was eager and willing to help.

Been climbing at this gym for 5 months. The bouldering here is on point. Each route from beginner level to advanced is well thought out and offers different challenges for the climber at the given level. Great place to climb for all levels. Bouldering is definitely the strong point at this gym, but beginning top rope routes are available as well as a lead climb section. The bouldering section has a wide variety of easy to difficult routes, with lots of 18 foot top outs. There are also multiple caves/large roofs to climb over that add a great dynamic to it. Definitely the best bouldering Ive seen nearby. The top rope routes are great for beginners, and they were very accommodating to my younger siblings that are new to the sport. They also had a couple of good-length slacklines set up. I thought pricing was very reasonable at $15 per person (with all rentals included), but we came with a group and got a discount by getting a 10 visit punch card.

Ive climb just about every gym from San Diego to LA for the last 6 years and this is by far my favorite gym with the best community of a real climbing folk youre going to find. The first day I showed up and climbed, everybody came by to say hi, they all remembered my name and said Goodbye to me on my way out. Where else do you find that? 10/10 would recommend to anyone whos in the climbing community already or is looking for a place to start.

What a great gym. I hate that I had to cancel my membership here because I really felt like I belonged to a great community, until...The owner, Trevor, pitched me on joining his multi-level marketing business (Amway). Then I asked around and realized I was hardly the first person in the gym he has pitched to. Three of my friends in the gym had been talked into attending his pitch meetings.Why is this so upsetting? Well for starters, 99% of people that sign up to distribute for multi-level marketing companies like Amway ultimately lose money, so to have someone you trust pitch it to you as a legitimate way to make money feels incredibly deceptive. To then find out he has tried to do the same thing to your friends makes the situation feel even worse.Add to that the fact that college classes come to aesthetic to teach rock climbing, bringing many new adults and college students to the gym on a regular basis. Revolving door of potential new recruits into his scheme? Check.Trevor, your actions completely betrayed the trust I placed in you and the community you have worked so hard to build. I did not want to have someone selling to me while I was enjoying my free time climbing in the gym, which is why I came to you to report it when it happened. For you to somehow think it was okay to flip that situation on me and then pitch your own scheme to me shows a complete lack of awareness of the situation or what you’re involved in.Is it worth it to profit off of the losses of 99/100 of the people you recruit?

Nice climbing gym. A little small but packed with complex routes. rope walls are a little short compared to one other gym I frequented. A little dirty, 75% of the gym is floored with crash pads but the 25% of it is dusty with sawdust in the corners. Id say its totally worth its membership price. This is a home, you are welcomed and invited in by an absolutely awesome staff and some very friendly and helpful people all enjoying the same thing you are! You cant make a single visit without getting a nice piece of advice or even just a a nice compliment. I visit typically 3 to 5 times in a week for a couple of months now and have yet to leave without a huge smile on my face. As far as the climbing goes... well... its UNBEATABLE! from diversity of holds to wall formations to setting on routes theyve got it all to an 11/10 I have never been so impressed by a climbing gym let alone just a business model in general! It was our first time climbing for a lot of us in our 10+ group. Everyone that worked at the gym was exceptionally nice and helpful even though we were complete noobs. They answered all our questions and showed us techniques without talking down to us. I liked that they have ping pong and Foosball for little breaks between climbing and are reasonably priced.

Climbing is on the rise. Literally. My years at Solid Rock Gym saw little growth or expansion, but when the Lake Forest location closed Orange County was left with a void. Since then gyms have popped up all over Southern California and dare I say it climbing is going mainstream. Its modern, its adaptive and the training ground for the TOP climbers. Well these guys sure had a dream to fill that void with really what climbing has needed in OC and beyond.I heard rumors of a San Clemente gym and now there is TruHold in Mission Viejo, Sharmas new gym coming, obviously Hangar 18, Mesa in SD, Vital bouldering walls in Carlsbad, but lets be honest if you dont go to Rockreation or Rock City the 2 most established gyms besides SRG when they left you were stuck driving way out of your way. Aesthetic and Truhold serve a much bigger population which is great for us as a community.The Arndt brothers (Dillon & Trevor) and Jeremy Meza have done a great job addressing a lot of the downfalls of previous gyms in the area and abroad. Not to sound like an elitist, but too often kids are exposed to climbing in more of a babysitting way, relying on excellent gym employees to wrangle them, keep their interest and whatnot. Having a staging area for comps, having event specific areas for kids to have their parties and a separate vertical top rope area keeps everybody safe and happy. The Yosemite and Joshua Tree room are decorated so well its almost a shame kids will likely thrash it eventually. Members and nonmember alike fully enjoy the top out boulder, training room, and top ropes. Lead area requires the passing of testing certification. The training room lets people get on intervals where you can crank out and hours worth of toproping or bouldering in half the time. Like I said earlier gyms are the training ground and with these new state of the art padding systems you dont have to worry about dirty rocks ever again. Makes us setters happy because its less we have to clean. I really dig that there are bouldering specific gyms now and that new gyms like this still offer it all. Competitions are a lot of work, but a lot of reward. Something 25-50% of gyms choose not to do for a variety of reasons. ACG had a comp almost immediately, showcasing this brand new facility. These guys are on a facebook media blasting tear doing more for marketing than Ive ever seen done for any climbing gum. Oh technology and the internet. Good setting and maintenance is key to keeping people happy and safe. Testing limits and egos. Youll find challenge and reward regardless of your skill level here. You couldnt find more friendly, honest and humble owners and with gorilla strong climbers to newbies training here every day welcoming all with open arms, youll find your place here. As soon as have my surgerys to fix a few old climbing injuries Ill be back here training again.
