Dr Chan is an exceptional physician. She’s just the perfect blend of science and holistic health. She’s also great at tapping into her highly trained and highly skilled intuition, which I really appreciate. She’s very caring, kind, thorough and supportive.I’ve gone to her for myself and have taken and referred many family and friends to her on and off since 2010, and I will continue to do so.

I have many health issues related to Service Connected chemical exposure to Dioxins - A/O from the 1960s. I wondered why Pro athletes and non-Pro athletes like Michael Jackson and Lance Armstrong were using HBOT to recover from injury and fatigue. I asked my GP to provide a 5 session trial protocol with AHRofM to see if I could feel improvement.After 3 treatments, I began to feel my extremities again, my mind clearing, fatigue dissipating and a positive outlook for my long term situation. I realized that AHRofM is not a hospital facility (much less expensive) but it is run as if it was one, with all the safety procedures and best equipment (watch out for the unlicensed and then the fake bag facilities without pressure!). It is important to know that they use 100% pure O2, while others use compressed O2 with possible contaminants.The staff is outstanding! They have their own licensed Medical Staff to Professionally manage your progress (most physicians are unfamiliar with HBOT, so they dont recommend it or know how to follow-up). They actually train nurses to help physicians understand the wound healing properties of HBOT. Their friendliness, care and follow-up assured me that I was receiving the best possible care. They put me through a patented procedure called Cutting Edge? that recorded irregular brain/eye focus so they could track brain improvement for me, my GP and my specialists.Insurance pays for many disease states, others may be paid if you can record improvements through Cutting Edge or other proof of healing methods. If your life is worth it, pay out of pocket if you have to. AHRofM also has a sliding scale plan for those in need who cannot afford it (especially children) called H.O.P.E. for Healing Foundation a 501 (c)(3) an Educational and Charitable Nonprofit. They treat brain injury/accident victims and other disease states based on ability to pay(treated over 1,000).This is a wonderful place to be treated! They care about me!!!

We had the most amazing experience. Everyone was so incredibly kind. The staff made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. The treatment was life changing! I’m beyond grateful for the care my daughter received at Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin . My daughter came out a new person with hope for the future that she hadnt felt in so long. I met many other patients who had the same experience. I highly recommend!!

I am blown away with the friendly and professional staff at Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin. I always felt safe and taken care of which is important during these times.I was very nervous because I was at high risk of osteoradionecrosis, a sometimes fatal condition caused the radiation treatment I received as a cancer treatment.The staff put my mind at ease by explaining the science and even printed out a pamphlet with links to scientific studies for me to look at the day before I got 3 teeth extracted.I know that it was a combination of Dr. Jacqueline Chan and the staff and the therapy itself that prevented the serious condition that I would have developed if I had not had the 30 dives. I am so grateful for their kindness. Highly recommended!!

About a month ago, I finished 40 sessions of hyperbaric chamber therapy. I was in for post radiation treatment of my prostate which was causing pain when I sit down and limiting my physical activities. The staff at Advanced Hyperbaric recovery in San Rafael California was set up for this job. The staff to the person were very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. By the end of the treatment, My prostate pain was in the process of starting to go away. A month after, Im beginning to feel the full effects of the treatment. I noticed my skin had a new smoothness and nice color to it. I think my mental acuity has increased.I would recommend advanced Hyperbaric recovery To anyone who has needs for this. After much research about hyperbaric oxygen, I found two places, one in San Francisco and one in Marin. Both places had great marks, so I made a visit and quickly settled on Advanced hyperbaric Recovery. The office is clean, spiritual, environmentally Green, friendly, and welcoming. I felt safe in trusting my care with all staff members while was in the chamber.I signed up for 40 treatments and each treatment brought on many shifts in my body and mind. Everyday, I noticed a change. My chronic pain decreased, skin rash improved, skin hair started to grow, and my overall attitude about my health issues has greatly improved. During each step of my treatments, I was given guided instructions that made each experience special to me. Not only did I feel the improvement in me, I could see it in my physical body.I recommend Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery to anyone with multiple health issues like I have. It has the been oxygen system in the bay area. For me, it is the frontier to a higher level of healing with having to take so many prescription medication. I love the place!

As an RN, I was blessed to be able to train at Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery in San Rafael, CA.I can say first hand that they have the highest standards when it comes to safety, quality of patient care and patient follow up.There wasn’t a day that they weren’t on top of infection control and the use of PPE.Their equipment and gas systems are new and state of the art, their processes and attention to detail and triple check systems really put my mind at ease.I will definitely refer my patients to Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery!

6 months ago If you told me you were experiencing vertigo I wouldnt have understood. That all changed with my sudden complete hearing loss in one ear, tinnitus, cranial nerve loss, and 24-7 vertigo. The vertigo had stolen my ability to walk, sleep, eat, chat with loved ones, or even finish a thought. Being in my body was torture and I was losing my sanity.The team who operate this healing center have worked so hard to rescue me. Every session reduces my vertigo back to a mild whisper for long enough for me to enjoy life a bit. Dr. Chan is fantastic!! Here ability to listen and empathize is incredibly comforting and satisfying. She doesnt just blindly and blithely prescribe some rote medical advice. She listens, questions and really seeks to understand the issue. Combining that with lots of lab results, she thoroughly explains the what, were and why of the course of action she is recommending. I felt to do the sessions I did, maybe 6 weeks worthI was not really aware of any body issues, I knew I needed to do it.Not sure how I am doing although at 67 and still riding motorcycle is a huge plus. I could not have chosen a better facility to obtain Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. The staff is amazing. They are knowledgeable, compassionate and efficient. The founder, Janine Thill evidently demands excellency from her staff. They went above and beyond what I expected and had researched. I love the fact that it is a Green facility and clean. HBOT saved me from the neuroinflammation from COVID. I was a long haul covid sufferer with swelling of my meninges. I couldnt think, couldnt read, could barely talk. I did 70 hours of hyperbaric over a six week timeframe. The oxygenation of HBOT helped drive healing into my cranium, reducing the swelling and getting me back on my feet. The team at Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin is professional, supportive and well-trained. This is a loving space for deep healing. Highly recommended!

Had to bring my daughter here for a three week period to heal her foot infection. I was terrified she would lose her leg if we could not get her infection under control. The combination of antibiotics and the doctor recommended HBOT saved her leg. The doctor was very specific about the need for going to a facility that used High Grade Medical Chambers only. Im so grateful to have had such a quality facility close by. The staff was very accommodating with our schedule. They taught us a lot about HBOT in terms we could understand, making us more comfortable with the treatment . I dealt with Janine, Lorenzo and Denora on most visits. The facility was very clean and the atmosphere peaceful. They even treated me special (snacks,smiles etc.) while my daughter was in treatment which was nice as I was there waiting for her to finish everyday. So glad I went with their facility. I just couldnt take any chances with my beautiful young daughters future. I would definitely go back again. Hope I never need to, but I feel so good knowing they are close by if I need them again. Not all counties have a top notch place like this. I found that out because I recommended HBOT to a few friends and all they could find in their areas were the kind of facilitys with the cheap low grade chambers. Do your research, the cheap chambers can be unsafe, a waste of money and you can lose valuable healing time. Hope this review was helpful. When I found out about Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin at the beginning of 2011, I was at the end of my rope. I had been suffering from a variety of chronic illnesses for 8 years, including chronic fatigue, recurring parasitic and bacterial infections, weakened immunity, endocrine imbalances, and heavy metal toxicity. Despite a dedicated healing journey over the years of 13 naturopathic and allopathic treatments, strict diets, healthy living, and a devoted spiritual practice, I still was not well. For many years Ive had minimum movement in my right shoulder due to car accident. I had countless MRIs and X-rays with no results. Just more pain meds and dealing with it. After doing a full treatment, I had full mobility back in my shoulder. I could actually throw a foot ball with out toppling over in pain!!! Ive been pain free for about 6 months now and now strengthening it with work outs. This is due to a number of reasons: highly trained competent staff, superior medical-grade hard oxygen chambers (not all oxygen clinics offer hard chambers), and years of experience and successes backed by testimonials from patients. I highly recommend Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery of Marin. Their website is unmatched as an online source for HBOT information, including personal testimonials from patients, a FAQ to answer many common questions we as people have about oxygen treatment, and the science behind its effectiveness. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy completely changed my life. After being in and out of various doctors appointments and even trips to the ER for all kinds of symptoms, I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease and 2 potentially fatal co-infections at 16. I was put on heavy-duty antibiotics which, as expected, made me feel worse and worse. After about a year of various antibiotics, I thought I would never be myself again. I mostly gave up hope as time went by and I was expected to be normal again although I really wasnt, but at the suggestion of a family member I decided to give hyperbarics a try. I was prescribed a set of 30 continuous 90 minute treatments at a certain depth. I went through ups and downs through treatment (herx reations which were expected and explained to me) but after I completed my set I was normal again! I quickly found out that it wasnt just me, but Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was an amazing super-healer for many others. Its crazy to me that this isnt a bigger deal, or that more people dont know about this because its truly a life saver. While there I saw so many other people (adults and children) having great results as well for things like Autism, Stroke, Infections, etc.As for the center, the staff is so friendly and goes above and beyond what you would expect. You can tell that they truly care about you and this is not just some business or job for them, it is their life and they live to help others. They are very green or eco-friendly which is important to me because it takes some extra effort, but again, shows they care about what is around them. They are also extremely professional and knowledgeable. There is no question too small and there is no doubt that they know what they are doing.This is not just some kind of crazy alternative medicine, it is scientifically proven and amazing! It is prescribed by doctors with specific, personalized, treatment plans. The chambers are hard chambers that can be pressurized to the right depths to be medically effective, not the soft zip-up kind that really cant do what they need to. (Ive done my research!) The place is extremely clean, has the lowest prices that I could find, and is located in a wonderful, upscale area in Marin, everyone is wonderful there, and it could change your life so dont give up hope, try it!

I have known Janine Thill, the program director, and her staff since about mid-2011. Working with her twice a week, I have had an opportunity to see her and her staff in operation from a sort-of insiders point of view. Ive been around when things are going fine and when there are stressors present. The general vibe is quiet, professional, pleasant, competent, clean, organized, and top-level. From an equipment point of view, everything is top-of-the-line. There are three large steel hyperbaric tanks with plenty of glass to prevent feelings of claustrophobia or confinement. One of the tanks is either the biggest in Northern California or as big as any other. During treatments, you can watch DVDs, listen to music, or take a nap. Its all very unremarkable in that there is no drama. The results, however, can be dramatic. There are photos of gnarly-looking wounds that have been healed and amputations prevented. There are numerous thank-you letters to view. Im a stickler for some things, and I appreciate the extremely pure filtered water in glass glasses, the you-wouldnt-know-it cork flooring, and the strict adherence to and exceeding of all regulations.The facility is so well-run and professional that there are negotiations under way to treat the athletes of an elite professional sports organization for injury healing. Janine has a big heart. Although the facility charges no more than about 20% of a hospitals fees and isnt rich, she has established the Hope for Healing Foundation, which donates treatments to indigents. Having read about and seen the effects of high-pressure pure oxygen on the body, I continue to be highly impressed by new realizations. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) can bring improvement to a wide range of conditions, including the normal problems of aging in healthy individuals. Alzheimers prevention, anyone? One of the younger clients told me he had regained the sight in one eye, his balance, and his health.I was surprised to learn that there is a chiropractor in the same building who is advertising his HBOT but uses a collapsible tank. These are only approved for altitude sickness, like on mountains. They cannot withstand the same internal pressures, he doesnt use pure oxygen, and the effects of such treatments can be worse than doing nothing. He seems to be accelerating oxidation, which causes rust and degradation, as opposed to oxygenation, which is healing down to the bone and into the brain. Hes upstairs, contrary to regulations which require HBOT facilities to be on the ground floor for safety. He doesnt seem to be the greatest guy Ive heard about. Ive referred several of my clients to Janines facility for treatment of non-joining fractures, symptoms of diabetes, concussion, and more. This technology is riding a cresting wave of awareness of its ubiquitous usefulness and Advanced Hyperbaric Recovery is in the forefront. Robert says Check it out.

I have known Janine for many years -- from the time she was a patient with Lyme disease to what she is today . . . a caring health scientist. In fact, I assisted in setting up her first clinic. Janine was a stickler for code compliance and detail. I was so impressed the her voracious appetite to understands the science of healing with oxygen. On the other hand, I have also had dealings with the fellow upstairs. I would characterize him as a hyperbaric charlatan. In discussions with him, I found him to be scientifically illiterate. The bag chambers he was/is using pose a threat to his patients and he simply did not care when this was pointed out to him. So, if you do need hyperbaric oxygen therapy, go to Ms. Janine Thill. Walk up the stairs to Saft and you will get scammed.
