Dr.Kaplan has helped me a lot with my TMJ/neck pain condition and his adjustments have advance my healing journey. It was interesting to see how after an adjustment, which involves a light touch, I could actually feel and hear my jaw moving to find the right balance and it felt great afterwards. Dr.Kaplans treatment has also helped me sleep better, my sleep has improved a lot.

For more than a year, I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Kaplan, and he has changed my life! After receiving a diagnosis of Menieres disease, I discovered Dr. Kaplan online as a potential solution to alleviate my vertigo and migraines. I have been seeing Dr. Kaplan mainly for my migraine and I have seen a significant decrease in how often Im getting migraines and regular headaches. The adjustments are not intrusive and there is a room to rest in before we continue with our day. Ive been receiving periodic chiropractic treatments from Dr. Kaplan for over a decade. I got positive results after my very first adjustment, and I continue to benefit tremendously from his knowledge, skill, and gentle technique. I had seen other chiropractors in the past and, frankly, I thought chiropractics were simply not for me -- that is, until I began seeing Dr. Kaplan. In addition to chronic neck and back problems, I have a complex central nervous system disorder called CRPS. Dr. Kaplan has helped me immensely over the years with all of these health challenges. Dr. Kaplan is such an asset to the East Bay. I have had neck issues for several years but was not comfortable with the idea of having a traditional adjustment. I did a lot of research on cervical adjustment and asked Dr. Kaplan a million questions about the process. He was always patient and receptive to me. The actual procedure for adjustment is very little impact and I have no after effects at all. Dr. Kaplan is highly skilled and knowledgeable. It’s nice having this resource locally and not having to drive to SF or Stanford area. His office staff is super organized and helpful. Don’t hesitate in seeing him. Haha, I have done all the due diligence already.

Ive dealt with neck pain for several years and I have tried many different ways to fix the issue. It is not an exaggeration to say I owe my life to Dr. Noah Kaplan. I had constant vertigo and debilitating pain for over a year (!) and got no help from doctors/specialists. I didnt think I could go on living so I looked for my own solutions and I am so grateful to have found him. My symptoms went away almost completely-- I still need a tune up now & then and he is always there for me. He has the warmest most gentle manner. He is so caring! I have been seeing Dr Kaplan for six months. When I started I had severe shoulder pain for at least six years. I managed the pain with prescription pain killers. I first went in to see Dr. Kaplan for significant neck and tmj pain. From the very beginning I always appreciated his honesty and sincerity. I was in a lot of pain prior to starting treatment and I could tell he really cared to help. My neck would constantly be burning, and it always felt really tight. It was a struggle to sit down and be in front of my computer, but after 3 months in I have felt significant improvement. I can also sleep better now. AMAZING. Dr. Noah is amazing! Ive been to multiple chiropractors over the years, and have never worked with someone that approached things quite the same way.I struggle with severe chronic migraines that have become completely debilitating in the last few years. After trying multiple medications, Botox, diet changes, stem cell therapy, and more- Dr. Noahs neck adjustments have blown my mind! He showed me how the cervical area of my spine was misaligned, and over the last few months of adjustments I can easily say my life has completely changed.Dramatic? Not to me. I have honestly spent over 90% of the last 3 1/2 years laying in bed or on the couch averaging 28 intense migraines a month, often going several days or weeks without any semblance of relief. Change didnt come instantly by any means, but with consistent adjustments with Dr. Noah, I am a functioning human again! I still have migraines for a few hours at a time, BUT I have so much time where I feel great! At the risk of sounding overdramatic – Advance Upper Cervical has actually changed my life. I first met with Dr. Dan back in April to discuss unexplained chronic headaches (daily headaches with the occasional migraine to spice things up) accompanied by shoulder and neck pain. I can’t pinpoint when or why my headaches started, but I grew up playing soccer and actively competing in both long and triple jump so I have my suspicions as to why my alignment was off.After an initial consultation, including scans and a detailed conversation about the problems I’ve been experiencing, my background, as well as my current lifestyle and health goals, Dr. Dan was able to diagnose the issue (simply put, my C1 was significantly misaligned) and set me up with a treatment plan. I started seeing results immediately and the frequency of my headaches decreased dramatically until they finally just stopped. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my posture, my ability to focus, and my overall quality of life. Now on the rare occasion that I do get a headache, I know what caused it (looking at you, wine).I’ve always been an advocate of chiropractic work, but have never experienced long lasting results and care like I’ve received here. Any other chiropractor I’ve been to would give me a quick adjustment that would lead to satisfying, yet temporary results. I really thought chronic headaches were just something I would have to live with, but that is absolutely not the case.I honestly cannot recommend this practice enough. By far the best, most caring team I’ve worked with and the relaxation room is amazing! A few years ago I was at my wits end and was searching endlessly to find someone that could help with my symptoms and provide some relief. I was not aware of the Chiropractic specialty of Upper Cervical but I am so happy I found Dr. Kaplan. Within a few visits I began to feel less dizzy and received some much need relief.Today, anytime I feel a dizzy spell coming on I immediately schedule a treatment or two with Dr Kaplan. Ive been under regular chiropractic care since Ive been 10 for scoliosis, but it wasnt until I was 20 that I found upper cervical care and this type of chiropractic really took me that extra mile I didnt know I needed. Plus I never loved getting my neck twisted, which upper cervical doesnt do! Dr. Kaplan is trained in various upper cervical techniques and can adapt to what you need. He is very detail oriented and overall an ethical and great guy.. I highly recommend and would trust my family with him.

For several months I was dealing with excruciating pain in my lower neck/mid back, which I thought was a shoulder/scapula/pinched nerve problem because my right arm down to my fingertips would tingle every time I bent forward. I exhausted a lot of avenues before trying Dr. Kaplan and I wish I would’ve seen him sooner… I noticed a huge improvement after about two weeks of treatment. I had migraines since a little girl and so my husband was planning to visit Dr Kaplan based on his services and good reviews. But before we went I sustained a minor injury at a hardware store. Several 25lb bags of sawdust fell on my back and this exacerbated an already misaligned neck. So we immediately made an appointment. The diagnosis and care plan by Dr Kaplan was very specific and effective. I eventually held my correction and because of that my migranes went away and I am healing from the accident. My husband and I are very grateful for the treatment but also because we felt that all staff and Doctors genuinely cared for me.

I’ve struggled with jaw pain and headaches on and off for years. It was not until I saw Dr. Kaplan that I finally found relief. After a rigorous treatment schedule several years ago, I am happy to say I rarely have migraines or pain anymore. When I first visited the office of Dr. Kaplan, my pain had been chronic for several years. I didnt sleep well, could not practice yoga comfortably or run, like I once had. When I would sit at my computer for work, or drive, I had constant burning in my neck and shoulders. I had been to other chiropractors in the past and I felt, they had made it worse. Dr. Kaplan took his time to diagnose my problem, and took a 360 degree x-ray of my head and neck that demonstrated how severe my issue was. Looking at my disfigured neck, he said my vertebra had probably fallen out of alignment years ago, never was corrected, and the other side consequently, compensated for it, resulting in 2 compressed vertebra and bones spurs. My initial thoughts were, no wonder I had been in so much pain (!!), AND, there was NO way he would be able to fix this. He reassured me that over time, with regular adjustments, we could get my body to remember its correct alignment, and alleviate most of my pain. And so, I went religiously, 2X per week at first, and within only a month or two, I was feeling so much relief. Dr. Kaplan is incredibly gentle, and there is never any aggressive cracking; he only adjusts what is necessary. As you continue to hold, your sessions are less frequent, and now, I only go to see him once every 6-8 weeks. I am free of pain, back to practicing yoga, running, sleeping better and work without any burning. For me, its been a miracle (!!), and my only regret is that I did not take care of it sooner. If you have chronic pain in your neck or back, go see Dr. Kaplan. He is amazing, truly gifted, and has a very impressive academic chiropractic background. I began seeing Dr. Kaplan several years ago when I was experiencing severe pain in my neck. Right away he assessed the problem and arrived at a plan of treatment. Just as he predicted from the very start, I saw him two or three times each week in the beginning. This eventually became once per week and continued to the point where I am now, and have been for the past couple of years, seeing him once every few months. I have full range of motion in my neck and have been pain-free for a few years. I had tried several chiropractors before I met Dr. Kaplan and had not been helped. Extremely professional. Those two words really describe Dr. Noah Kaplan’s approach to his customers and to to his chiropractic service. I was referred to Dr. Kaplan from a friend who had great results, after a couple months at Advance Upper Cervical Chiropractic.I had high hopes after trying just about everything else next to surgery. I have seen other chiropractors, tired acupuncture, electrical stimulus therapy, physical therapy etc. None made a bit of difference.After my first visit, I knew I would give Dr. Kaplan a try due to the way he approaches his work. Knowledgeable, and detailed are two things I like in people that I go to for help, and Dr. Kaplan is both in spades! He looked at my spine in detail, reviewed the first exam with me to make sure he and I both understood both the potential problems and if he could realistically offer any help. That conversation left me understanding so much more about my back and what may be wrong.One of the few doctors I have seen that said, if he couldnt help me, there would be no point in proceeding. That was a breath of fresh air right there...and he hadnt even touched my spine yet!After a couple weeks of adjustments, my back feels as good as it has in a very long time. As a naturopathic doctor with a busy Prolozone practice, it is very important to me that I know a chiropractor that I trust with my patients. From a personal perspective, I have also had chronic neck and back pain since age 16 due to a sports injury affecting my atlas and struggled all through medical school and post graduation to find a chiropractor who could properly adjust me. I have chronic pain on my neck and shoulder for several years now. Never a night goes by without me applying some menthol cream/gel on those areas. I started seeing Dr. Noah in March. Its been only 6 mos but the improvements are amazing.There are times now where I forget to apply the menthol on my neck and shoulder which means I dont need it badly anymore! Prior to seeing him, its not possible at all for me to forget since I always feel the pain. I look forward to more improvements. He is not a typical chiropractor. I had never had any experience with a chiropractor prior and I was unsureat first, but after my initial encounter I felt more comfortable to trust Dr. Kaplan and proceed with my treatment. I have struggled with vertigo for more than ten years (managing with meclazine and days off) and on after a particularly long episode (9 days), I started googling alternative treatments. Dr Kaplan and his treatment have been incredible. He identified that my C1 was out of alignment and suspected that with correction, my lightheadedness and vertigo could be reduced. I was diagnosed of Trigeminal Neuralga. I was on medication for a number of months. I found successful stories of people with TN who is under the care of Upper Cervical Chiropractor and that is when I found Dr. Kaplans office. After a few visits my facial pain had significantly reduced. As weeks and months past by my pain went from few numbers per day until it went down to zero. Let me get this out of the way first, Dr. Kaplan is amazing. He efficiently treated my debilitating pain when a half dozen other docs and specialists couldnt help at all.A bit more detail, Im in my early 50s and the chickens came home to roost. I had absolutely debilitating pain in my neck, arm, chest, back, and armpit. I had a MRI and was diagnosed with two pinched nerves in my neck. Probably the result of decades of damage from mountain/road bike crashes, judo/jujitsu injuries, trail running incidents, bad posture, etc, etc.I suffered w/the pain for 4-5 months while trying: steroid shots in my neck (no improvement at all), two different acupuncturists, physical therapy (made it worse), a marginal chiropractor, both over the counter and prescription lidocain patches, and daily maximum does of ibuprofen and gabapentin with opioids at night so I could sleep through the pain. Conventional medicine through my primary care provider was useless.Then I saw Dr. Kaplan, he immediately found another problem in addition to the pinched nerves that my primary care provider found. He put a treatment plan together, I started seeing relief in the first few weeks and now 3 months later Im back working out at almost 100% and I havent taken ibuproferen in a week and dont expect to. Dr. Noah Kaplan is incredible, and has helped me immensely! I came to Advanced Upper Cervical 6 months ago at the recommendation of a friend. I had lower back pain that simply would not go away and I tried many other chiropractors and treatment methods. The Advanced UC method was a bit different, but it made sense to me, and I figured it was worth a shot. Best. Decision. Ever. Within 2 sessions my back pain was almost gone. I’ve been a patient of this practice for a few years now and I’m always really impressed with what a difference these treatments make for my headaches and TMJ. I’ll be feeling great for a few weeks, occasionally months, but unfortunately poor posture, stress or repetitive work can throw things off for me. Ive been going to Dr. Kaplan for 6 months now and I cannot believe the difference it has made in my life. I came in with numbness in my left arm and pain in my neck. I had no idea that this could be related to a misalignment in the upper cervical spine. I knew things werent as they should be, but couldnt put my finger on what was off. Actually, I didnt even know if cervical work was what was needed. The treatment at Advanced Upper Cervical has been the solution for me!!! I have suffered from jaw issues and my atlas going out and impinging on the vagal nerve since 1989. This was debilitating with horrible headaches and nausea. Traditional chiropractic treatments of cracking my neck to put the atlas back in place worked in acute situations however I was uncomfortable with the aggressiveness of the traditional cracking of not only my neck but my back as well. The condition was recurring and I was always searching for a long term solution. When my husband had such good results after seeing Noah for only three months I decided to see if he could help me as well. I really liked that Noah did a comprehensive exam, including 3D films and thermography of my neck to see how my nerve impulses were working and then developed a personalized treatment plan based on my particular situation. I went to see Dr. Daniel McClelland after a bad surfing wipeout that twisted my neck too far the wrong way. I was experiencing tightness in my neck, headaches, and numbness on my entire left side. While this is not the popping you see on you tube, its more refined. Noah is amazing, i cant recommend his work enough. If you have neck or back pain, i wouldnt give this a second thought.
