Ive been going here for several months now and its the best decision I have made. The rescue I work for uses this vet first for all of their dogs needs and I brought in several dogs as part of the rescue. Seeing the care and detail they spent with each dog made me realize I had to bring my two. Especially with their knowledge of Golden Retrievers. Highly recommended.

The vet and staff are quite good. However, the ownership of Adobe who only provide a Wells Fargo credit card instead of CareCredit as 90% of the vets use is very puzzling. Make you wonder. doesn’t it. Needless to say if there is a life-saving emergency and you have the CareCredit card I doubt if you would go to Adobe. Of course the rebuttal is use your regular credit cards or sign up for Wells Fargo. As that may be it does make you wonder..

Our dog Izzi loves going to see Dr. Blackwolfe. All the staff at Abode are great. We have had all of pets seen there. Dr. Blackwolfe really reassured us that Izzi was doing fine and in good health for her age. Would highly recommend Adobe.

Ive been a client at Adobe for over 25 years. Theyve helped me care for all my pets and have such an amazing team of doctors and support staff that I recommend them to everyone I can. A particular shout out to Dr. Peter Hill. Hes incredibly caring and thoughtful and provides very sound advice when making health care decisions for furry friends. I love Adobe and feel so fortunate to be one of their clients! 😊

My husband and I have been coming to Adobe for over 15 years. We made the change when my last vet didn’t recommend my critically ill cat to be placed in a hospital for her care. My sister recommended taking her to Adobe. But she died 1 days later on my shoulder while running her into Adobe Los Altos. I told the receptionist that I thought my Kitty may have just passed away. The receptionist rushed me and my Kitty to the treatment area. A Vet appeared and 1st thing she asked was did I want her to start resuscitations? Though my sadness I was amazed that she offered resuscitation. . I didn’t have her resuscitated. But changed vets that day. As I still had 4 cats and one longhaired Chihuahua. I wanted to make sure they would receive the best vet care possible.That was over 15 years ago. That was before the opening of the Los Gatos location. They have taken care of all my pets. Dr Nathan Côte saw my Burmese cats until the last one passed away. Jennifer Koga was the primary vet for my little 3lb 4oz longhaired Chihuahua. Marti developed a heart condition at age 12 years. Because of Dr Koga’s excellent care Marti lived almost 4 years longer. I have been happy with everyone at Adobe. The techs, the Pharmacy techs. Everyone is great. . We have 2 more male Chihuahuas. I wouldn’t consider taking them any place else for care. At Adobe your Animal’s well being is their primary concern. I really can’t say enough good words about my years of taking my animals to Adobe. They also have all the equipment at both Facilities to run all kinds of tests. They can do X-rays, ultra sounds and I also think but am not sure they may have a MRI machine. They also can do some in-house labs. They keep up with the latest in modern vet care. Thanks to all the staff at Adobe for providing excellent care to all my Animals. AVOID FOR YOUR PETS SAFETY!! Adobe willfully allows pets to suffer for their own convenience. Completely inappropriate and dangerous protocol. This hospital let my young, barely-eating puppy suffer from giardia for days after running his test results, never once calling my mother to let her know his results. My mom had to call them herself to hear his results and only then did he get on meds and improve. Then my mother was harrassed today for money by a customer experience rep who downplayed the severity of this situation and how badly the hospital messed up. She said “dogs don’t die from giardia” knowing FULLY WELL my dog is a very young puppy who had a serious case which most definitely could have killed him if left untreated. Disgusting to hear someone who is supposed to keep our pets safe spreading completely stupid and false information. Neglectful staff who never even apologized for this.

Went here to get some canine approved NSAIDs for my elderly dog. Vet refused to give me any script unless I got $400 worth of labs. When I asked repeatedly what value it would add to the care, she couldn’t give an answer. I talked them down to labs that still cost $175, but the vet won’t give any refills past the first month unless I come back for more labs, which again she couldn’t justify as to why they are needed. The vet did not value my input, did not consider my wishes or view point… it was her way or the highway.

From check-in, to Tech, to Doc, to Pharm, such a relaxed, friendly visit (every time, so far). Hank and I are still a pretty new team and I think I am probably more nervous than he is, so the atmosphere is, of course, helpful.Our first meeting with Dr. Hazelton. She is rad! Very pleasant, I felt heard and not rushed, which is appreciated as Im a newbie. She took here time with us, answering all my questions. Even gave me a solid solo ear cleaning hack!

I take my two golden retrievers here, and they both love coming to the vet! Weve seen Dr. Nakamura and Dr. Younger, and Im really happy with both. Theyre attentive and so kind.When the techs give shots, they also feed my dogs this treat that they go wild for, I dont think the dogs even notice the shot!

Overpriced. Big pharma for pets. Charged me $80 more than my vet and chewy. Would not adjust price. My dogs had to have the prescription dog food, so I paid that up charge. So wrong. Don’t go here. Horrible!!!

EDIT: We lost one of our dogs to cancer. The doctor at Adobe was incredibly kind and helpful during the process of putting her to sleep. Adobe delivered exceptional care and service at a very difficult time. As long as were in range of an Adobe facility well never go anywhere else.---------------We took our dogs to their Mountain View facility when we lived in Mountain View, and every doctor there was consistently excellent. Great service, great care. They cost a little more for an appointment but never did anything unnecessary, and often talked us out of doing too much.Then we moved to San Jose. We tried other vets but in the end we kept driving up the freeway to take them back to Adobe. Other vets werent as polished, professional or ethical, and we knew Adobe was focused more on taking care of our pets than taking care of their own wallets.The south bay branch is a dream come true. No more long drives, with the same excellent doctors and service. We wont go anywhere else.

They YELLED at me on the phone when I tried to see if the procedure they wanted me to come in for could even be done, after a previous visit where they charged me $400 to to be seen for that procedure then said, oh sorry the guy who does that isnt here today, come back for another $400 plus procedure fee later. I paid, even though I was upset that they charged me for a procedure that they scheduled but didnt show up for.When I tried to make the new appointment, I got put in a phone loop for over 20 minutes before trying the chat feature. I tried to explain what happened over chat, remaining polite if insistent that I would like the appointment for when the technician would be there. Then the office manager phoned me to SCREAM at me. I told her to look at the transcripts, which I had downloaded, and it backed me up that I was polite but firm. Then she hung up on me. The delay in treatment led to the death of my pet. She died slowly and in pain. I was unable to get an appointment anywhere to get her relief. We had to wait 3 weeks, watching her lose her leg function and eventually be unable to eat from being paralyzed, before another vet could put her down.I get that people make mistakes. But SCREAMING at me is completely out of line. Charging me $400 for a vet tech to come in and say they couldnt do the procedure that I had scheduled for that day is completely out of line.

Customer service is insulting and rude. Vets are okay but techs are pompous and insulting to customers. During complaints to management it is obvious where they get their attitude. I have brought many dogs here 30 to 40 visits without incident but with new owners it has gone downhill quickly. Think twice before bringing your precious pet into this environment. It is definitely not the customer is always right.

Adobe is a great animal hospital, but be ready to pay for it. I never paid attention to the prices because its just the price we need to pay to keep our babies healthy, but I recently compared some medication prices to Chewy and Adobe charges double. On top of this, they sent out an email stating they are no longer doing electronic prescription.Some examples of pricing in 2022.* Adobe wants $120 for Vetsulin while Chewy charges $63 with shipping.* Foxtail in the nose (exam with anesthesia) was $1400. This is comparable from what Im reading online.* Blood sent for ketone levels was ~$500. Seems a bit high* Blood glucose check (same one we do at home with Alphatrak2) was $80. Thats pretty much the cost of the entire Alphatrak2 test kit. Difficulty wise, this is a lot easier than trying to cut your dogs nails.* Pain meds (was told its cheap) was around ~$70. Chewy had the same ones for about $20.I owe Adobe my babys life. Dr. Koga (retired now) diagnosed insulinoma right away and Cashew was given a life expectancy of maybe a year. With surgery by Sage hospital, my baby is still doing well after 2.5 years (knock on wood). I cant thank her enough for diagnosing fast and correctly.I believe Adobe animal hospital is a great hospital. Excellent knowledgeable doctors and kind nurses (vet techs), but the prices are getting out of hand.

Convenient hours that suits most peoples time. Friendly staff. Good for routine check-up. Free nail clipping. It is expensive but its walking distance from my home. My cat has some more serious issues, I felt they were just going down a checklist. That gets expensive. I felt they didnt know the issue and just wanted to try the next step to find more, but each step just gets progressively more expensive. Also drug prescription tends to be the same for each different issue. Also surgery such as dental cleaning is booked 2 to 3 months in advance as theyre busy and gets backed up.

This is the best place to take your animal. Everyone here is so professional and really takes great care of our animals. We had a minor emergency with one of our farm dogs. They were able to see her, checked her out and treated her so. She was completely relaxed which isn’t her usually behavior at the vet. Thank you Dr. Koga and all your fabulous staff!!!

Recently I had to bring my dog in for a small emergency and had a wonderful experience with Adobe. I previously lived on the Peninsula so had always visited Los Altos with the best experience so was happy to have the same kind treatment down in the South Bay. I was immediately greeted and then a tech made sure my dog was OK while we were waiting for the scheduled appointments to be seen before us. We were brought back to a room within 15-20 minutes and then seen by Dr Blackwolf about 20 minutes after that. She is a wonderful Vet and was very kind and gentle with my dog, very knowledgeable and thorough with reviewing her history as well as examining her. Exactly a year ago I had to bring my cat in who I found deceased under my bathroom sink so he could be cremated and the staff was again sensitive, attentive and the vet that I spoke with even sent a donation on behalf of my cats name to UC Daviss Veterinary School. I know this b/c they sent me a bereavement card and said a donation was sent on his behalf. Ive never had this happen before after enduring so much heartache, I was pleasantly surprised. All 3 of my animals area treated here and I am always certain they will be handled with care and doted on.

I’ve been with Adobe for a long time, both as a past employee and as a client. I’ve also worked at other veterinary hospitals and have taken my pets to other animal hospitals...Adobe, hands down, is the best hospital. I thought I’d save some money going to another vet hospital, but the care wasn’t the same. The veterinarian missed stuff that I knew was important, so I made another appointment (this time with Adobe) and my concerns were addressed. By going to the other hospital to save money turned out to cost me more because I eventually had to go to Adobe in the end.The veterinarians, technicians, and CSR staff care! Adobe not only stays up-to-date with their equipment, but they’re a state of the art hospital.

I have been using Adobe Vets for two decades, I trust them and their work for my dogs. I will say that they are quite high cost and to make sure that you question whether your animal really needs everything they are wanting to do. Like anywhere, it is a business with a bottom line, it is easy to redline the unnecessary items and save yourself a couple hundred dollars.

Alrighty, hear this review out because my goodness their policies are totally bogus. First off, I have taken my dog here several times over the years, and I had recommended this place to many people. NO MAS. My pup and the people I have referred to this place will now be going elsewhere.By word of mouth, from a friend, I had heard that if you had a rescued animal, you could get the first appointment for free. I looked on their website and could not find anything written about this. (Please feel free to review the website as well and see if it is hidden in a place I might have overlooked.)So to make sure, I called them. The call was friendly and short. Did you rescue the cat? Yes, I did. For rescued animals; we definitely provide the first appointment for free and thank you for rescuing. Awww no problem. Do you chip as well? Yes, we do - its $60 something. Awesome! Ill do both - see you then.I went; there was an exam with a veterinarian, and then the cat was chipped. Everything was prompt and courteous.When I went to pay - the bill had an extra $100 charge on it. They went on to tell me that because I did not get the cat through a rescue agency; that it didnt qualify.Heres what happened next: I was given a follow-up call and the person that spoke with me said that I had not rescued a cat simply because it was not via an agency. What a degrading thing to say. As if agencies are the only way to rescue an animal that is in a horrible situation. That seriously is just...demeaning to all of us who DO rescue pets or rehabilitate animals without the help of an agency.As a business: on your website, there is nothing in writing about this and your representatives are misleading and since you mentioned you checked in with your front desk team; seems like people are afraid to speak up about their mistakes which indicates a possible unhealthy workplace. If this had been a clear communication, I would have actually gladly paid the fee. The call ended with an awkward Thank you for calling. which....well they called me. The whole experience makes me wonder what else they cut corners on.Now you have this review and have lost a patron or three.Please make your policies very clear in the future.

Our little one year old Siamese, who we adopted during the Corona Virus had a great experience with Adobe Animal Hospital . He had to have patella surgery for him and since he was a feral kitty made it a bit more challenging, but he did great . The clinical and admin. team were very caring and professional . Dr. Maxwell did a fab job and you can see he has a passion for animals .With Covid still going on, it is a very safe place to take your pet .Cheers to Adobe!!

We came to Adobe after a poor experience with a previous vet. Or cat had just been diagnosed with diabetes, and the former vet had left us bewildered and confused. Adobe welcomed us, got our information, and one of the vet techs even walked us through the basics of diabetes care and diet changes without an appointment or charge.

Our Guinea Pig Pepper needed surgery to remove 2 cysts from her ovaries. I had met Dr. Nakamura when we first adopted our 2 girls. I was very impressed by his thoroughness during the examination and how much he cares about the little ones.Now these months later we found that he was at the los Gatos hospital. So, we moved our pigs to Los Gatos.Today he operated on Pepper. Before surgery he was concerned about her heart, so that was examined thoroughly with a consult with Dr Koga. Once again his obvious love of the little ones and his expertise impressed both my husband and myself. He answered all of our questions fully. One hour after surgery our little girls is eating and moving around and getting back to what she does naturally.We cannot thank the Adobe Animal Hospital enough for the care and serious approach to our concerns and to our little girl.Thank you to the staff and especially to Patricia, Nicole, and Dr Nakamura.
