Adobe has been amazing for both our fur babies. Professional, supportive, quality care and advice. Dexter is a nervous puppy and they go the extra mile to make sure he feels safe and calm when they are with him. We are lucky to have found them.

I been taking my pets to Adobe since 2007. I love the vets and all the staff. Everyone is polite and professional. My dogs were seeing Dr Koga until she retired. I knew what vet I wanted, Dr Blackwolf. Years ago I had a little dog in the ICU at Adobe z( Los Altos ) for congestive heart failure. She was being treated by Koga. While Marti was hospitalized my husband and I would stay near Marti for long hours. This went on for days ( Marti pulled though and lived and 41/2 years ). During time spend with Marti while she was hospitalized Dr Blackwolf came in often to monitor her patients. I was so impressed. I asked the techs her name. The techs loved her and I could see why. I decided then when Dr Koga retired, I would want Dr Blackwolf as my dogs vet. Back to present day. I took my dogs into see Dr Blackwolf. Again I was amazed by her. Firstly, her personality relaxes you and your pets. I always feel like I am talking to long lost friend. Nothing stuffy about her .Her knowledge level is amazing too. She will spend all the needed time with you. I love how she puts my dogs at ease. She comes to them. You have a bench to sit on with your pets and of course the exam table. Dr Blackwolf comes to the bench to exam your dogs. So they are at the owners side. I also like that less is more with Dr Blackwolf. She doesn’t do a lot of extra testing. She always exams my dogs teeth as says they don’t need cleaning. I brush their teeth. Adobe is very lucky to have Dr Blackwolf as one of their vets . I am grateful Dr Blackwolf are my dogs vets

Highly recommend. Our dog took a turn for the worse on a Saturday afternoon of a three day holiday weekend. Neither our vet nor the local at-home vet service were open. Adobe was not only open on a Sunday to help us, but the staff was so caring and sweet. They also have a dedicated room for euthanasia services, with a couch, floor cushions, and a separate exit. Our family felt very cared-for. Thank you, Adobe.

My first visit with Adobe was for an emergency with my with my family cat back in January. Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done but they were so amazing and supportive through a very difficult time of putting him to sleep that when I recently added a new member to our family, there was no question they would be our family vet. Our first new kitten visit was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Adobe to anyone looking for a vet to care for your 4 legged family members.

I recently adopted a young cat and became concerned when she hadnt passed a stool in 4 days. I called Adobe Animal Hospital as my normal vet is not open on Sundays and they said I could bring her in to be seen in their urgent care center that day. The facility is very nice, very clean, and I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. We luckily didnt have to wait long to be seen (this was on a Sunday morning) and the vet was very kind and gentle with my cat. She also didnt recommend or try to push anything unnecessary (after the exam her advice was to wait a couple more days, since there were no other bad symptoms, and luckily kitty went to the bathroom the following day). Thank you to the front desk staff, vet tech, and vet for helping us out and giving me peace of mind. Will definitely come back if urgent care is needed in the future.

The kindest group of people I have ever met: nurses, doctors, receptionists, pharmacists - everyone is compassionate. They are also highly skilled: with one emergency doctor diagnosing the issue correctly on the first try that potentially saved my cats life. Also had several urgent-care visits and 3 tooth extractions here for my cat.The management should step back from increasing the prices though. I hope at least some of it is going to the people physically doing all the work and saving our furbabies.

Update: brought my pup here again for urgent care after several years.The post-pandemic experience is even better- we were checked in within 15 minutes and the vet tech and doctor came to take a look at my dog soon after. I got the prescriptions from the pharmacy and was on my way an hour after I reached.The vet was very knowledgeable and all the staff were helpful. It wasn’t too expensive either as they didn’t do any unnecessary procedures.It’s a little far from my house (~1 hour to reach there) but definitely worth it.

Adobes quality of service and customer service has declined significantly over the last 10 years. After our last experience (May 2024) we do not recommend Adobe, and will not use them again. In general, they have poor customer service, minimal empathy for distressed pet owners, no follow-up or follow-thru on commitments, and they are not interested in going the extra mile. We encourage you to ask friends and family for a better alternative; not Adobe.

We have been taking our animals to Adobe Animal Hospital for over 30 years and this was the worst experience. My cat received mediocre attention for a premium price. The vet was distracted and kept answering calls while in the examining room. She had to call a second vet in for another opinion because she didn’t know how to assess the situation. Her exchange with me was dismissive and almost combative. This was a second visit on the same issue and it felt like she had no clue what had already been done for my cat. By the end of the visit my cat AND I were both in distress…. Only then to be asked to pay a hefty bill. If my cat gets better - it will be in spite of Adobe’s care - not because of it.

This review is in the hope that someone who can do something will actually read this. Please look at the other negative reviews and notice that there is a common denominator and that is the Experience Manager Cindy. I have never been treated so rudely. After 45 years as a client, I am moving on thanks to her horrible attitude. There is no way to contact anyone above her. You just meet a brick wall. So sad since the doctors there are amazing.

This review is not for the entire hospital, but rather just for Cindy, the client relations manager. We have been loyal customers to adobe for over 15 years. They usually provide good service and have a couple of very knowledgeable vets. With our most recent addition to the family, we were given incorrect information, which increased the chances of causing complications to her health in the future. This was very upsetting to us, and even after admitting that they gave us the wrong information, Cindy proceeded to tell us the best they could do was to “talk to a different vet.” This is after the damage is already done and we have also consulted another vet. Cindy also said that even though the information that we were given was wrong, and that she was “sorry,” there was still nothing they could do for us as they did nothing wrong and were not liable. She was rude the entire time during the phone call (almost combative), kept speaking over me, tried to gaslight us by saying “well, that could have been the right info if your dog was a bigger breed,” and then later hung up the phone call because I was getting upset and wanted to speak to her manager.

Its been awhile since Ive been back to Adobe, but I went in recently and was super impressed. A lot has changed and all for the good. Everyone was super nice, booking at an appointment was seamless and the technicians are unsung heroes as per usual. Dr. Clifton was excellent and I highly recommend seeing her if you have a rabbit. Thanks to all there especially the gentle and patient vet techs who trimmed my bunbuns nails 😩 Not for the weak or faint of heart!

Adobe was my go-to animal hospital for the last 5 years and is still a fine place to go in general as a normal vet clinic but Id think twice for emergencies. The wait is long for a walk-in but the vets and vet techs are caring so Ive often driven out of my way to come to Adobe. Unfortunately, I will be taking my dog elsewhere in the future as theyve continued to remove or limit services offered and they no longer fits my needs.Despite what might get told to you on the phone to get you to come in so they can charge an emergency fee ($270 during normal business hours): There are no longer any DVMs after hours and few specialists. I came in after calling ahead, knowing what was wrong with my dog (due to 3 other visits [exams, x-rays, medication, etc.] with her normal vet that week), and hoping they could stabilize her or do a new x-ray/MRI only for them to perform a short physical exam and refer me to UC Davis for surgery. While the referral was appreciated, I wish that instead of wasting those hours in the waiting room (valuable hours on the clock that ended up increasing the cost of the eventual surgery), I had just been told this was not an emergency they could handle over the phone when I was giving background information on my dogs case.Ive learned my lesson about needing to ask more pointed questions about what services they can provide before taking my pet anywhere. Im not above acknowledging some fault in my circumstances but I was, of course, in a panic. I later called in to their patient/customer relations manager to talk about if we could get the fee adjusted (not waived or anything), as a long time patient with a huge surgery bill looming over their head, and was succinctly rejected. Thankfully, her other vet follow-upped with care and was able to work something out for us.

TLDR: Very expensive, poor communication, slow turn around time. One extra star awarded because the diagnosis was correct.I brought my 3 year old cat in because she had blood in her urine. The doctor said it was likely a UTI but I should get a urine test first to be sure before giving my cat antibiotics. She said I had two options 1. collect urine at home 2. sedate my cat so the urine could be taken on site. The Dr. recommended the latter. I chose the former since It seemed way less traumatic for my cat. I collected the urine and rushed it back to the vet. I waited 2 days with no word from them. Meanwhile, my cats urine was getting more red. I called them to see if there was any update. They implied that I should have already been administering the antibiotics to my cat. This was very annoying to hear since that was not what was communicated to me at the appointment. Luckily my kitty started to feel better after a couple days of antibiotics. I never received an update on the results of the urine test. I called 10 days after the fact and finally someone emailed me the results with zero explanation from the vet. I dont understand the results. I got the bill for the urine test and it was VERY expensive. The urine test was a complete waste of money. I dont even want to think about how expensive it would have been if I had gone with the doctors recommendation and had my cat sedated.

They can’t deal with Guinea pigs. Our pig had an abscess that they drained well but have an antibiotic prescribed for 2x daily for 14 days. The never provided any consultation at the pharmacy counter. While I thought it was too much but I trusted the doc and the pharmacist. The pig didn’t survive the full two weeks. We even stopped the antibiotic within 7 days when we noticed lack of energy and appetite. Since there was not guidance by the doc or the pharmacist, I couldn’t tell what could be a cause. Looks like pigs can be intolerant to antibiotics. Stay away from this place.

This is an overdue review, but I was so traumatized by my experience at Adobe that I could not write it at the time. Now that some time has passed, Id like to share my experience here.We went to Adobe when my rabbit stopped eating and was suspected of GI stasis. I was very concerned because he had lost a lot of weight and wouldnt eat or drink, but ultimately, they told me my rabbits condition was overall not too bad, and simply sent him home with some medication and Critical Care. He didnt even need to stay overnight. At the time, I was relieved to hear this and trusted the exotic vet at Adobe.Well, $500+ and less than 12 hours later, my rabbit passed away the next morning. An animal thats fine does not just suddenly die in less than 24 hours. I should have trusted my intuition but was reassured by the vet that his condition wasnt as bad as I thought. I greatly regret taking my beloved rabbit to this hospital, and I will NEVER take any animals here in the future. Rabbit owners--please do not go to Adobe Animal Hospital. Your animal will pay with their life.

YOUR PET DESERVES BETTER THAN ADOBE. We used to love Adobe. The old Adobe is not the new Adobe. Prices are insane. Quality of care is horrible. Especially if you have a big dog RUN. I just had my annual examination with Dr. Paniz Davari. Horrible. She poked my dogs cyst with a needle and let the liquid drain out onto his leg instead of...well I dont know pulling the liquid out with a syringe. She hardly touched my dog and I have no idea about the quality of his ears, teeth, hips, bone structure, heart health, nothing. This was my dogs first appointment as a 1 year old so knowing all that is kind of important.Oh and Cindy in customer service. Dont even try. She will always take the vets side and gaslight you. When I told her about the vet appointment, I was the one that was supposed to be asking questions and the vet doesnt need to say anything. Oh the cyst... well sometimes things just get messy. No it was malpractice and my dog was the brunt end of it. I love that she didnt want to give a refund because the vet tried their best. Oh... okay. And then they still want to charge me again for another appointment to literally conduct an annual checkup on my dog.Again, we used to love Adobe. It isnt the same. Go somewhere else. YOUR PET DESERVES BETTER THAN ADOBE.

I have been going to Adobe for 23 years. They have seen me through many dogs, triumphs and tragedies. So grateful for everything they continue to do for me and my current rescue. The Melon Head always enjoys his visits, even when he gets poked for blood draws. Simple surgery scheduled for next week and I will be by my dogs side when he gets a local. Grateful for that many procedures, i can be with my pet.

Adobe cares so much about your animal and their hospital is equipped to offer the best care possible. The hospital is so amazing it looks like the ER of a major hospital for humans! When my cat was dying recently (of old age) they rushed her to the ER at no charge to make her as comfortable as possible. They let me stay with her and they took amazing care of her and me when I needed it the most.

This place is awesome! Dr. Corbin is outstanding, shes a marvelously knowledgeable, exceptionally skilled vet that we really trust. The vet techs are kind and helpful, and I never have to wait long for my scheduled appointment time. The place is spotless which must take a ton of work, and theres a per pharmacy in the waiting area which is incredibly convenient for picking up my dogs medications after visits. Theres lots of parking and the waiting area is big, so if you have a more skittish pet you can sit apart. I believe theres even a separate waiting area for exotic pets or skittish cats, but Ive never used it, just seen the signs. I give them a 9.5 out of 10, with half a point off because my dog is terrified of the place no matter what I do. Little stinker.

Updating 2 years later to say I wish my human doctors were even half as good as these vets. Could they treat me too??Every time I have an issue, I appreciate that the vets take the time to walk me through the entire decision tree. Symptoms X, Y, and Z could be Diagnoses A, B, and C. You differentiate between these diagnoses with these differing symptoms or test results, and they walk me through how much each test would cost and then let me decide what I want to do about it. Excellent. I love it.--Always good, professional, and responsive. They definitely care about pets here. Feel fortunate to live close to here.

I was rejected by The Animal Doctors, whose receptionist told me I was contaging HER lobby with my 4lb chihuahua who had random sneezing fits. She was not coughing, they were random bouts, and she was eating and drinking fine and was very active. Never mind that contaging isnt even a real word.I immediately sought out the Adobe Animal Hospital. The receptionist was very kind, and said they can take a look at my baby.The vet tech and Dr. Chrissy were both amazing. Dr. Chrissy couldnt find anything wrong with her, and both had no reason to believe it was anything contagious, more that something may have gotten into her nose and it was irritating her.Thank you Adobe Animal Hospital, for caring about my baby like your own. Thank you for not turning me out into the cold. Thank you for giving me peace of mind! Rui is doing splendidly. The nasal drops didnt seem to change her sneezing, so I have now started her on the prescribed antihistamines, in case it is an allergy.

Adobe Animal Hospital is a wonderful pet hospital. My dog suffers from grand mal seizures and they treated her like she is their own pet. The prices are a bit high, but not ridiculous like some of the other vets in the area. The doctors are honest with you regarding treatment and prices.They are open 24/7 and have a great pharmacy. They are also happy to phone your pets prescription in to Walmart or Costco to save money. My family has used Adobe for all of our pets for over 40 years.

They are extremely understaffed and only had one doctor on during the weekend. I am a current client but they are no longer taking new patients and are no longer 24/7. I had to wait 2 hours to be seen, albeit I was a walk in, but any other urgent care I knew about was closed so Adobe was the only known emergency clinic to go to. After hours waiting, one xray and 2 prescriptions, I wasnt even given a diagnosis and was charged nearly $900. I am hearing more and more about how they understaffed, charge exorbitant prices since they changed ownership. This is definitely not the Adobe I once knew from years ago when they had multiple vets and staff available whenever I went. The techs were wonderful and running like crazy when i was there. To not have more then one veterinarian on the weekend seems ludicrous to me considering thats when most people make appointments.

Ive been using Adobe for over 20 years. That said, since Covid (even post vaccines) theyve been much more difficult to work with (i.e. they only allow email that they call chat unless its an extreme emergency, etc). Plus, our 12 year old cat is now being denied an emergency visit/care since they are at max capacity. They have provided a laundry list of other animal hospitals with no assistance in getting our cat transferred. Ive always stuck with Adobe thinking they would be there when needed in an emergency. Now, I need to rethink whats best (i.e. there are cheaper alternatives for routine care and if Adobe isnt there for emergencies, why pay more for routine care).PS: This review might not matter to Adobe as they are not accepting (since early Covid) new customers. No telling when they will have to start treating customer the care one would expect given their high prices.

The vets here are so nice and many practice fear free approaches to pet medicine. My dog is reactive so I really appreciate that they take their time even when its inconvenient. It helps to teach me how to advocate for her and give her the best experience even when its stressful.

The staff here is great, but they have become so busy that new clients are not welcome (not an issue for me, but for anyone new...). Sadly, they have become more difficult to deal with and dont like to work with 3rd parties, such as external pharmacies, making more work and wasted time for their clients that dont purchase pharmacy items directly from them. Hope they realize the inconvenience this is for customers and their families.

Ive been coming to Adobe Animal Hospital for many years. All my dogs past and present come here. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. This is a 24-hour seven-day-a-week hospital for your pets. They also have a pharmacy right inside the hospital which is very convenient. My last visit with my doggy Ichi. We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Monica Clare, who was super nice. Took my dog to another vet for his regular vaccinations and chronic issues that I’ve been working on with Adobe and paid half the price for equal quality care.Their mark up on Rabies & DHPP is ridicules! What a shame.I’d been going to Adobe for 30+ years and had an unfortunate experience with a doctor so I tried another vet. I’ll never go back to Adobe.

I am always so very pleased with the care our dog Orca receives at Adobe Animal Hospital. Hes a rescue and came to us with a few medical issues that have required followup. Also - being a pitty mix he has skin and tummy issues that just occasionally require intervention. All the doctors and techs at Adobe are friendly, patient with our reactive big strong boy, and dont try to upsell you or push products. They are there to solve for whatever brings your pet in to the hospital. I found their urgent care rates very reasonable - and their pharmacy does price matching. I would highly recommend them for your pet.

This is terrible vet I never went. Manager who name is Cindy who does hung up phone during talk and quetions also she doesn’t listen what client saying and pushing her talk over and over and look down client and doesn’t care.Doctor told me it will be need surgery so I did order estimates for surgery and other things then nothing contact from them over 1week so I needed call them then this happen. they doesn’t care animals at all too. Terrible vet and staff

Ive been going to Temple Terrace Animal Hospital for 7 years, and Ive never had a bad experience. They really care about my dogs, and try to make them comfortable. My dogs are actually happy to visit the vet. They start wagging as soon as we pass the 7-11. I trust them with my babies completely.

I love this clinic for my guinea pigs. I live in San Mateo but I chose Adobe because they have so much flexibility to help their patients. We have seen doctors through the walk-in clinics (once our issue turned out to be so minor that the tech sent us home without charging us) and appointments. They were all very competent and professional, following up with email. I also used the vet tech chat line to make sure that my pregnant foster pig was doing okay in her labor ; I was greatly relieved to not have to bring her in for an appointment (and later that day she had two healthy babies). I also have used the option of driving to the Los Gatos location when there was no small animal/exotic vet in Los Altos. The drive was absolutely worth it. Recommend this vet highly.

Our family and friends have all used Adobe as far back as we can remember.Sadly, we wont be going back. All the good vets are gone. Adobe is still using Corona as an excuse why they cant schedule more appointments. That way they can charge more as an emergency visit. My dog was sick and they couldnt give me an appointment for 3 weeks. And even when they could, it had to be with any general practice veterinarian. No more having your favorite vet at Adobe.Unacceptable. This doesnt mean theyre this busy because theyre that good. It means theyre this busy because its a business model so as to price themselves outrageously for emergency visits.Problem is, none of the vet clinics in this area are accepting new patients.I guess well have to take our dogs to vets in San Jose. I wish we could take our dogs away from the influence of Sage entirely. Its Sage that bought out Adobe and ruined this once wonderful community asset.Proof that they dont care? They dont contact anybody whos been complaining. They know they have you by the short and curlies.

We took our 13 year old dog to Adobe. She had stopped eating or drinking, she just stayed in bed and slept all day and night.The Staff at Adobe were so caring and kind to her and to us. We were given a room to decide how to proceed, or to just say goodbye to her. We stayed for around two hours, talked to the Doctor and staff. Ordered another Ultrasound which they allowed us to attend with her and hold her. We were constantly told to take our time, to stay as long as we needed.

Their pharmacy service is speedy and no hassle. During the covid time they had to cut down on services so they are not accepting any new patients to better service existing patients with the limited staff. We had to go for an emergency on 4/2021 and the staff seemed caring and empathetic towards our situation. We didnt get to go in at the time, but the staff came and got our dog from the parking lot.

This review is for the hospital but mostly for Dr. Maxwell. I cannot say enough good things about him. He did our dogs’ TPLO surgery last year. He was kind, communicated flawlessly about pre and post op. Our dogs’ leg is better than before the injury. We came back again today for another issue with our dogs’ front leg. We knew when our regular vet said we needed to go see someone who specializes in orthopedics that we would be coming back to see Dr. Maxwell again. He is so knowledgeable and professional. He also doesn’t make you feel like an idiot when you ask questions. He is so patient. I feel 100% certain about his choices and judgment calls. He hasn’t led us wrong! I had 3 animals with them. It was good for minor health issues, while your pet is generally ok for but they not reliable for difficult cases, emergency..Our cat started having some sort of digestion problems. First, they did lots tests (expensive, like 10 thousands, with 1-2 days of hospitalization) and couldnt find anything. Recommended to go to some place with better equipment (then tell to people right away you are not adequate for difficult cases) Digestive is pretty common for cats. Sounded like diverting when its tough. Then they recommended to put our cat to sleep, we didnt and he did recover some and lived for over a year in reasonable health...Then for emergency they turn you away to go look somewhere else, not putting you on waiting list. I asked if there is no waiting list and they turn everyone away who would be scheduled next and the lady hung up on the phone. Horrible operation and receptionist training how to handle stressful cases.

I have only been to this vet office twice for after hours emergencies. My dog is everything to me, and I trust this practice to take care of her. The staff is INCREDIBLE. They are so caring and were so good with my dog. They explained everything that they were doing, which set me a bit more at ease. My boyfriend and I were panicking and we were very stressed out due to the emergency situation, and honestly I cannot imagine the staff managing it any better. I highly recommend this practice.

Lets start with: This place is expensive. Its in one of the most expensive areas in the USA. It provides 24/7 care.That said, every experience here has been good. You can also call them and they can quote you a price and give basic advise. The staff cares and seems to be happy. Which is a lot to say for the vet profession. My husband wishes his doctors were as competent as some of the vets weve seen (lol). Every Adobe Animal Hospital vet Ive talked with has always come off very well spoken and honest.I dont visit this place for regular checkups due to the price, but this is the address I have handy incase of an emergency at any hour of the night. Weve had two dogs completely misdiagnosed here. We had a young and otherwise healthy dog die days after a visit because they misdiagnosed a time sensitive condition.The staff offers absolutely no post visit support, even though they act like theyre standing by to help after your visit. They will answer any post-visit questions you have by advising you to come back in so they can keep charging you for emergency visits.After my experiences with them I wouldnt trust them with a goldfish. The admittance staff at the desk was great. The vet was great and answered all our questions about when we should schedule our dog for dental. They also were ok with us buying flea and tick and heartworm medicine online even though they have a pharmacy there on site.The vet tech was awesome when giving our dog all her vaccinations. I see the same vet every time and he is great. He listens to me and he is takes great care of my cats. Plus my cats seem to like him. Also, the front desk staff is very helpful. When I had to take both cats by myself and could not find my boxes (we were moving) the desk staff came out to my car and helped me get them out and then get them back in after the visit. My dog had a bad morning and I went in for an emergency appointment. This was our first visit. I filled up the forms and had my dog seen by a technician. By that time the dog felt better, no fever, and the tech advised that the emergency appointment may not be needed. There was no charges for this service. Best veterinary facility I’ve ever been to. A year or so ago they performed a complicated emergency surgery on one of my cats and saved her life. I couldn’t find any other place that would take her on such short notice. It was extremely stressful and scary, but the staff at Adobe and were very supportive throughout the process. The people who work here are fantastic with animals (not necessarily true of all vets I’ve tried), and my cats are very calm when they go here (again, not true of all vets). The facility is clean and up to date, and they have a member on staff 24/7 in the recovery rooms so your pets will never be left alone post-op. The cost was worth the results and I have switched all of my pets to this vet.

Amazing experience here, right from the start TC at the reception made us feel at ease. TC allowed our family to tour the facility, and you can see that every member of staff loved taking care of animals. Our little rat had a tumor removal at the Cupertino animal hospital, and the post-op instructions were very vague. When they were closed over the weekend, we came to Adobe for an urgent care visit when the wound became infected and the stitches were ripped. Right away our vet was able to take him in for the wound repair, beforehand she patiently answered our questions. We feel so great about this facility, we are sticking to this hospital for our future needs from now on.

Premium price with poor results. Took my dog there for a possible ear infection. Got charged $412 for some long-term medication. With this premium price and simple case, story should end and dog is happy, right? NO! Ears were clear for the 1st couple of days. Dark brown stuff came back three days later. Called the office and I had to leave a message. No one returned and had to track the Dr. down for the next two days. Had to do a recheck and got a daily medication that I need to administrate everyday. Another charge of $356!Isnt this a rip-off? As a professionally licensed vet, shouldnt they know what med to use for what kind of infection? Why they got to charge twice for the exact same case and believe its the right thing to do? Doesnt that incubating the practices of not taking accountability as a veterinarian? BTW, they also have a so-titled Customer Experience Manager whose job is to defend this kind of mal-practice. Their prices are way too high for most services. Yes they have state of the art equipment, a new modern facility and that costs a lot of money but their prices make it seem like they want every patient to pay for all of it every visit or an entire piece of equipment every time they use it. They call back 2 hours later, saying they couldn’t do the test but still charged me for the stay. We recently had a scary incident in which we thought our kitty had ingested a poisonous flower (please do not send flowers with lilies to cat owners - they are toxic to pets!). Adobe was amazing in taking care of our pet. He had to spend time in their ICU and they were great about making sure he was comfortable and even built him a cardboard play box. This place is probably the best 24 hour vet hospital in the area, but expensive. Our dog suddenly lost control of his feet and couldnt get up. We went after midnight on a Friday and the experience was amazing. All the staff and the doc on duty were as loving and caring as it was their own dog. Our dog had to stay overnight for monitoring and the doc the next day was as amazing. They diagnosed the problem correctly and referred us to neurology at another hospital. We decided to drive all theway to UC Davis, I will post a separate review for that. Total charges over $1600 for all the tests, diagnosis, consultation and overnight stay. Special shout out to Amanda, the tech who was managing our dog in the ICU, I havent met a more compassionate human being. Having had positive previous experience, and liking the veterinary staff that cared for our guinea pig, I am sad to say that the overall experience here has left me feeling that the life of our pet was the last consideration on the mind of the surgical staff, and her death mid-procedure was a direct result of trying to stay on some predetermined schedule rather than assess and provide the best treatment with the best possible resolution for the animal. Our guinea pig was scheduled for a routine procedure requiring anesthesia, but we were told the vet would text/call prior to the procedure going forward to give us his assessment. The first call we received was notification of her death mid-procedure and a general attitude that these things happen. We were not given a chance to make an informed decision about proceeding, and our guinea pig died as a direct result of this negligence (not contacting us) and incompetence (proceeding with a procedure once additional risk factors were identified). I will avoid Adobe in the future. I cant take a chance on another pets life being cut short.

They killed our beloved guinea pig, Nutmeg. They failed to diagnose a mouth infection, they told us she wasnt underweight (when we insisted she was), they left us waiting for hours at each visit, didnt respond to emails, then finally recommended immediate dental surgery to help her tooth problem but then tried to postpone it because they were too busy. Finally the day of the surgery we waited all day for her dental procedure (with no updates, no texts) and then the surgeon at the end of this horrific week tells us she died under anesthesia, her heart stopped, because she was emaciated and had an infection, in direct contradiction to what they said at the two prior visits earlier in the week. I spent over $2000 there to try to help our sweet guinea pig (she was only 2, rescued from a shelter). Dont send your beloved pets here.

I cannot say good thing about the clinic but blame them for not giving us the chance to save my dog due to inexperience. My dog was throwing up during the day. We just thought he was trying to cough up the grass he ate. by the night he didnt get better, so we took him to this clinic, the only 24 hour emergency vet near us. The on-call vet took X-ray, and check the dog up, and told us nothing was serious. She gave us so antibiotics and gas-X, and send us home. But my dog didnt get better at all. I called and was told to keep on giving antibiotics. By 3rd day which was Monday, we took my dog to our vet, Altos View Animal Hospital. Our vet immediately noticed the mass on the X-ray, and informed us that the mass didnt look good. Within 48 hours, our beloved dog pass away. We could have had chance to do something if the Adobe has made correct diagnosis. We are still so upset.

I have been taking my pets here for literally 30 years. I used to bring my pets to their old location in Los Altos before they opened the new Los Altos location. It is time for my dog’s annual checkup and she needs her Heartguard and Simparica renewed.I called to make an appt and they can’t see her until April 17. Not a problem. My dog is out of her meds so I asked if they would prescribe one month of each of those since THEY can’t see her for a month.I was told no because they haven’t seen her in over a year.What? I was told by Adobe staff, throughout the pandemic, to only bring my animals if there was an emergency. So out of respect for other animal owners (and what they were telling me!!!), I didn’t bring my dog for her annual checkup.Now, not bringing her for her checkup (like they requested throughout the pandemic!!) is the reason they won’t give my dog a one month supply of her meds (that they originally prescribed). Adobe has a very well organized method for visits to the vet during this pandemic. When you call for your appointment they tell you to just go to the parking lot and call when you get there. The parking lot is marked out with safe distancing parking. The technician comes to the car wearing mask and gloves and the animal is handed over to the technician. The fur babies parents stay in the vehicle. After the doctor has diagnosed your animal you receive a call in the car and discuss it. Payment is done over the phone and they bring the animal back out to you. There was lots of animals being treated the day I was there and it was encouraging to see that we could still have this done with safe distancing and protecting our health.

The other day, my daughters rabbit lept off the second floor landing and landed hard. Hard enough that we took her to the vet. The trouble was finding a vet who treated rabbits on an emergency basis.Our usual vet in San Bruno didnt have anyone on staff to handle her, and a series of calls and recommendations led us to Adobe.The staff was exceptional. They saw us quickly, treated us well, and took great care of our injured rabbit. The facility is very nice. Access is easy, parking is plentiful, and there are several waiting rooms in case you are there with a small animal and are worried about waiting with the larger pets.Special thanks to Dr. Butkus, who handled us, and the rest of the staff. Very professional all around. They even called us a few days later to make sure she was doing ok.Our usual vet isnt taking new rabbit patients, so were going to look at having our rabbits looked after at Adobe. My 10-year old dog is going into surgery at Adobe, and theyre sending texts and e-mails to a number I no longer have control over. Their support says the system doesnt even have the other number/e-mail, theres no way youre getting message to it, and yet, I am.First, support transferred me to Summer, who is on vacation until sometime in October. Every vet that we have encountered has been very attentive and understanding of our pets needs as well as our limitations. I would recommend this facility to anyone, and it is a very busy facility with adequate parking and wait space. The reason for the very good and not excellent rating, is telephone customer service. I currently have a pet with Addisons disease which requires monthly blood draws to check on his levels for medication dosing. Every time I call to make an appointment I am put on hold for an extended period of time, anywhere between 5-12 minutes. Just today I had a wait time of 9.5 minutes. I know that it seems that I am being nitpicky but my time is valuable as well. Customer service needs to extend to answering phone calls in a timely manner. I won’t stop coming here for such a small issue, but I am frustrated every time that I call and the say can you hold please……………………….

I have had animals my whole life, I cant explain exactly why Adobe is the best but I know it is. I have Newfoundlands, a giant breed that honestly Dr. Jane Johnson is so good with. My first Newfoundland had a serious issue. I had taken him to 5 vets in 7 weeks when I was finally referred to Dr. Johnson, she found the issue and he was immediately seen by a specialist and operated on the very next day. It was because of Dr. Johnsons diagnosis, that every other vet missed. that my boy was saved. Since then, which was almost 15 years ago, Adobe is the only veterinary hospital we go too. The staff, Facilities, and care our pets receive is quite frankly the best!

I had nothing but positive experience here at Adobe. My dog had some dental procedures here (bad old teeth), two emergency visits (fox tail and chocolate consumption), and lots of routine annual visits. The staff was always knowledgeable and friendly. I love that they also can walk you through some of the minor things if you call on the phone (e.g. removing a tick)

Adobe Animal Hospital is a 24-hour animal care hospital. They have dealt with my dogs for years theyve gone through several different types of surgeries my recommendation is you get pet care insurance as you get an animal it will save you thousands of dollars in the long run. Staff is friendly. The only thing Im not liking or care for is that sometimes it can take up to a week before your pet is even seen. So urgent care is the only way your pet can be seen immediately if there are no appointments available. Sometimes Im wondering if they do this that way they just get more money to see your pets. Not sure either way we still their clients

I will NEVER recommend this hospital.1. Insane price. If you want to be charged for over $2k for only blood tests and some physical exam with no result, come to this hospital. They did tests for my cat and told me everything is ok. But the fact is that my cat is undergoing serious infection.2. Unprofessional. They did several tests and told me everything is ok. Our dog suddenly started acting lethargic and we took her to Adobe. She was immediately admitted as an emergency case and diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. She had emergency surgery and was being treated lovingly when we got to visit her in post-surgery recovery. Her care to that point was excellent. What was disturbing to me was we started working with a mobile vet who came to our home and advised that a prescription for arthritic pain control which the Adobe vet agreed to refill TWICE during the post-surgery recovery period was an anticoagulant, which was likely aggravated our dogs condition. I was quite distraught and called her vet twice to inquire about an alternative prescription, but the vet never responded. I know my dogs case was terminal, but it was so disturbing to learn the vet either didnt know or didnt consider a commonly used drugs side-effects and that my dogs already shortened lifespan could have been further reduced by a medicine I was giving her daily. I was also very disturbed to be assured by Adobe staff that the vet was in and would respond but never did.

Adobe Animal Hospital is wonderful. I have been bringing my pets to this hospital since it opened fifty years ago. My dog Princess has been treated there since she was a puppy, over fourteen years ago. Dr. McKenzie and Dr. Jane Johnson have been treating her recently for a pesky infection. I just received word that her culture is clear! The doctors are excellent and very knowledgeable, as well as being personable and kind. The office staff and technicians are dedicated individuals and do a great job answering questions and assisting doctors. I would recommend this practice highly to any pets and ownbers in need of a good doctor.

We noticed a cut on our puppys hand, it was covered by his fur and we cant tell how severe it was. We went to the Adobe Animal Hospital since it was out of work hour and they provide emergency service 24 hours. We were told that there will be extra $160 charge for the emergency check. The receptionists talked to us and asked a nurse to check the the cut, and it was a minor cut and nothing to worry about. We really appreciate their help, it took us 5 mins and no cost at all.

No need to make faces at the presence of a sick animal that urgently needs care. We are more of a threat to a sick animal than the other way around. When the time is crucial and its a literal life or death situation, you want to find empathy, hospitable care and see professionals put their expertise to work-but most of all, you need actual care and love for your animal.The personnel did not possess the most caring, appreciative traits for the life of my bird. On the contrary, they were inconvenienced and it showed by their facial expressions. This is the last thing you need to experience in times like these. When the going gets tough, dont take your sick animal here, they did not care for the life of my animal when it mattered the most. I only wasted my birds precarious life by coming here only to face this nullity. Your pet deserves to be seen by people who actually truly care for its life and recovery, both in good times, and in the bad times. Great hospital that is staffed and equipped for anything. They also have a pharmacy right there and a small store. Services are a little expensive but the quality is good. TLDR: EVEN IN AN EMERGENCY - PLEASE QUESTION THE PRICE FOR EVERYTHING! Adobe Animal Hospital charged us $300 to put down our pet hamster.Our adorable hammy had a severe rectal prolapse in July 2020. We went to Adobe to see what our options were during their normal business hours. Adobe did a quick assessment of our hamster and told us the surgery likely wouldnt be successful and it would be best to just put our little fluff ball down :(The experience while we were there was pretty mediocre. The administration staff were really poor at communicating and gave us basically no info while we were there. The vet said they would follow up after they put down our hamster, but they never did. I ended up calling to ask if we should leave after sitting in the parking lot for some time without hearing anything. I also asked about payment but they said we would take care of that later.Well, later came in September. We got a bill for $300 from Adobe for putting our hammy down. Now, we assumed that this was going to cost us more than the entire lifetime cost of the hamster, but never in a million years would I have put the cost that high! In addition to the high minimum urgent care fee, which I could not find any information about on their website, they also charged us $75 to cremate our hamster! The vet asked us if we wanted to take our hamster home or offered that they could keep her and cremate her. She made it seem like they were equal options! She said nothing about it costing extra. We didn’t have a place to easily bury our hammy, so we thought cremation was a nice option. When you get guac somewhere, it’s a meme that they have to ensure you know it will cost extra -- for like a $2 charge. This was apparently a $75 charge without mentioning any additional cost. To top that off, there was a late fee, even though that bill was the first we ever received.We called to try to fight these charges, and they wouldn’t drop any of them except the late fee. Maybe this is something we should have been aware of going in, but we are not regular pet owners. Our hamster is the only pet we’ve owned. We don’t have experiences with vets and the research we did said that this would generally cost us $50 - $75 total. NOT $300. We were just trying to be good hamster parents, and I feel like we were truly taken advantage of. I will never return to Adobe in the future when we get our puppy. I can only be slightly relieved that this happened with a hamster and not a dog. I can only imagine a bill from a cat or dog emergency. Please beware.

MY DOG DIED HERE DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE!I brought my small rescue dog here because she had a little piece of steak stuck in her throat that she couldnt quite cough out. The doctor who saw her said oh, its not a big deal and used a metal rod and literally shoved it down her throat and did and said she should be fine now and sent her home with me with some pain killer for her throat. Well, when I brought her home, she was not acting normal and was clearly lethargic and would not eat and so I brought her back to Adobe. The doctor looked at her and said maybe she just needs some fluids and so she suggested I leave her there so they could administer IV fluids for a couple of days. So I did. When I went back to check on her the next day, they would not let me see her and staff were running around and I asked what was going on and a nurse said my dog was going into cardiac arrest...long story short, whatever that doctor and hospital did to my dog, wether it was the aggressive manner the doctor shoved the metal rod down my dogs throat or unnecessarily giving my dog too much fluids, who knows, but my otherwise healthy dog ended up on a respirator at that hospital for over a week and later died from her little lungs bursting because they could not take the machines pumping oxygen in them any longer.And not once, did that doctor ever call me to apologize or offer words of condolences...To make matters worse, they STILL BILLED ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for their hospital services!!When i went to pick up my babys ashes, I was still in shock and mourning that I paid the bill without even thinking, but later realized what I had done was a huge mistake.I begged that they donate the money used to try to save my poor dogs life to a non-profit rescue group to rescue hundreds of dogs with that money but the Manager refused. Her comment to me was Pursue us in other ways if you like...Heartless Corporation. They are not a compassionate Animal Hospital. PLEASE! If you love animals, as I do, support your local Vets and take your fur babies to their private Veterinarian Clinics and not to this greedy Corporation that only cares about PROFIT!

In reality a year after sheltering in place, no real business can fall back on the we are busy due to Covid. This schlock outfit is money hungry and does not provide care for your dog. They only provide care of their pocketbook. Specifically, they manually reset my dogs digit but did not wrap it nor provide any medicine for inflammation or for pain. I was disappointed with my first experience at SAGE with my service dog. I decided to give it another opportunity. Thank God I did, this last appt. It had made a 360 degree turn around. New Vet, new surgical team, different treatment and sedatives. It was an excellent experience, my service dog didnt feel a thing, and the level of care, and diagnostic tests were handled with professionalism, extremely pleased with this experience.Apparently I cant change which Vet I was referring too, but need to share who actually performed the surgery and it was SAGE of Redwood City, NOT Adobe Animal Hospital. I have taken various pets to Adobe for years. They have a caring knowledgeable staff. Some of the vets Ive known and have been there as long as Ive had children, and my oldest is in her 20s. They have a state of the art facility but it still has a small clinic feel in terms of doctor-client relationship. They are open now during the pandemic, although due to COVID-19 safety protocols, number of appointments available is limited and they can only support existing clients; they arent taking new clients for now. They have two locations, although Los Altos is the main/larger facility that offers 24-hr services. Los Gatos tends to have more medical appointments open, and I found out recently one of my favorite Adobe vets--Dr. Jennifer Koga-- had relocated to that clinic when they opened several years ago. Ive had dogs and rabbits, and Adobe has always provided me with options for treatment, if necessary, in order to make the best informed decision. Highly recommend!

We brought in our bunny close to death with extreme GI stasis. Everyone there, from the receptionists, veterinary technicians, and doctors were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Adobe had to keep him for a few days and for a while there we were sure we would lose our bunny, but the staff and doctors at Adobe managed to coax him back to life and save him. My pet was rushed to Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Altos due to collapsing on the floor at our house. I told the staff that I think my pet is either dying or dead. They said if thats the case they would treat our pet first. After initial diagnosis by a tech (not the doctor), they decided my pet wasnt dying and told us to wait since there were other pets ahead of us.TL;DR My pet died at the Los Altos Adobe Animal Hospital waiting for treatment for 3 hours. The doctor didnt do the initial diagnosis when we rushed her to the hospital even though we told the tech / nurse she is critically ill. No treatment was done, my pet suffered until her last breath while waiting, and I still get hit with a full emergency visit bill (several hundred dollars). The money is not that important but their lack of care is surprising.Please dont bring your pet here and go anywhere else for a better chance at their survival.

At 11am Saturday, my dog was bitten at a dog park with two significant lacerations. Albeit the injury wasnt life threatening and Adobe was busy, we had to wait for 45 min with a stressed pet bleeding onto the floor. My dog was finally examined and admitted at 12 noon. But the surgery did not take place until 6pm. That is a very long time for an injured and upset dog. He came home very traumatized and it took a day to settle down. I have heard good things about Adobe and their regular treatment may be top notch, but I cannot recommend them for their emergency service.

Ive brought my dogs to Adobe for over 10 years. My little Frenchie was so well taken care of that we made the drive for any and all appointments, even when they moved a bit further from us. The made sure my boy was happy and healthy and were even there for us at the end when we worked with them on every option and finally came to the same conclusion at the end, together with no pressure either way.Now we have a rescue who is an absolute handful and loves her friends at Adobe. Pure breed or just pure love, my pets deserve the best and Dr. Clifton and all of the other vets never disappoint.Dr. Roos could work on a bit of beside manner but perhaps thats why hes better served as a vet vs. a pediatrician. Some of the vets are out of this world, some merely very good. i foster senior german shepherds with the thulani program, and have had very good experience with all of my foster dogs. driving from the south on el camino rd., a u-turn is necessary, and on the first several visits, i found Adobe hard to see amongst the neighboring buildings. the hospital is pleasant, the staff has been welcoming and gentle with my dogs. when i have been there when it was time to let a dog go, they have a special and attractive room for euthanasia, with a private exit door, and provide as good an experience for me and my dying dog as can be under the circumstances. Everything here also applies to the location in Los Gatos.

I am writing this about three years after the fact. I hope, dearly, for all concerned that the situation has improved. I found this hospital to be a clearing house for newly qualified vets. My own dog was initially in for a minor surgical procedure for the removal of a couple of benign cysts. A heart murmur was not noticed or noted. The staples that were placed in the site were too small and too numerous so when removed, the site reopened. It goes on and on and I came to my senses and, with luck, came across some very well qualified vets. I would never recommend this facility.

We took our 10 year old cat in last night who was showing unusual signs of distress. Before we could even sit down, a delightful tech name Machelle met us and immediately started providing comfort and care...to our cat and to us. From there we got fast professional care. NOT !Adobe is absolutely the best vet around and has been for several decades!Between 4 cats and a dog and too many emergencies to dwell on here, have had nothing but the best of care, anytime. Tell me some other vet you can call at 7PM and be seen at 8PM? When you have a pet you care dearly about, and it is in pain, you cant wait to get an appointment after 8AM the next morning. And when that day comes to say goodbye to your buddy, they have the room to allow you and your pet the dignity of some privacy to spend that moment. Living in the south bay and a monster commute, we have tried other vets. The Los Altos office is nearby to work, and good for regular visit and our schedules. Be very, very careful who you see here. I have had some positive experiences but its all highly dependent on the vet/techs Recently, I had an experience that was devastating involving Dr. McKenzie. His sloppy exam and evaluation of lab work caused me a lot of money and heartache. If you look at other reviews of him online, you will see others who have had negative experiences with his incomplete exams. I tried contacted the hospital administrator, Summer Holmstrand, several times who ignored me until I threatened to dispute the charges wherein she then had a customer care representative, Cindy Biby call me to avoid speaking to me directly. While I was charged for full exams, he missed an impaction in the one cats ear, a toenail grown into itself and dismissed sores on his chin as feline acne that he told me to use Stridex for. I was back not long after for a $300 emergency vet visit for those things with Dr. Connors. His excuse that he gave Cindy for why he missed those things Well, I only exam the things I am told to look at. Seriously? How lazy and unaccountable can you be? Especially when he saw the cats chin, for one thing, and told me to use Stridex pads on him which burned his eyes from the smell and caused the sores to painfully erupt. They sell a $25 treatment right there, by the way. I also told him that another cat had end stage kidney failure and showed him the labs on my phone that had been taken two weeks before I started phosphorous binders with my usual vet who was out of town. The labs came back normal which was not possible. Cindy agreed this was the case- that it was an error and that the phosphorus binders wouldnt have affected the results so drastically after talking with another vet there. Of course, when I spoke to Dr. McKenzie to review the lab work initially, he says, Well, just keep up the good work whatever you are doing. What kind of inept vet doesnt question those labs? Why would I have any reason to trust any of the labs they ran that day other than ones NOT done in-house after that? Something is very wrong with the in-house labs whether its the people running them or their equipment. The techs didnt even record their weights right and I specifically said three of the cats were coming in for kidney checks because I need their weights and values for phosphorus binders. I should also mentioned, the day the labs came back, no one called me and I was given excuses about the phones and computers being down but then a rep admitted that the real reason no one called me back is because Dr. McKenzie was out for several days. Really? No other vet there can review the labs? No one can call me to tell me there will be a delay? Dr. McKenzie told me my labs would be back on Friday. He didnt follow up until Sunday, or Monday, I believe it was. I spent $1300 on these erroneous labs and half-assed exams. After numerous back and forth with Cindy, who refused to send anything in email admitting their wrongdoing, they offered a refund of $183 and the opportunity to bring two of the four cats back for rechecks and new blood work which they said they would send out to another lab because I dont trust the in-house one that gave the false results for the now-deceased cat. Thats right- One has since died and the other is on veterinary hospice. This has caused me a lot of heartache. It gave me false hope that some of the treatments I was doing were working, caused me to misdose the binders then ultimately give up on them because I didnt have something as fundamental as their proper weights after the first $1000. Dr. McKenzie didnt even have the decency to apologize and accept responsibility. What a coward. That is a recurring theme there from Dr. McKenzie to Summer Holmstrand- no one can take responsibility. Cindy even avoided sending me any itemization on the credit or exchanging any information about what happened via email. Once they have your money, even if they admit their exams were shoddy and labs unreliable, good luck getting your money back so you can go somewhere else.

We chose Adobe Animal Hospital because it is 24 hours and should anything were to ever happen to our furbaby after hours, someone can take care of him and have access to all of his records.The staff and doctors are all very nice. There is usually not a very long wait, about 5-10 minutes, before you are called to the exam room.Different doctors seem to have different opinions about things, however, which can be a bit confusing. For instance, my pup had a bump on his nose. One doctor wanted to do a biopsy, while the other doctor said its definitely benign and no biopsy was necessary.Lastly, their prices are kind of high compare to other vets, but its not so high that Im willing to drive farther to pay a lower price. All in all, I would recommend Adobe Animal Hospital, but if a major procedure is needed, I would probably get a second opinion elsewhere, first.

I took my guinea pig in for emergency stillbirth checkup. After I leave, the guinea pig has a sprained leg and They made up a bunch of facts about my guinea pigs saying that she was “life or death requiring $1000 surgery to survive or $200 euthanize” and that there was “a third baby on the way”. I took her to another vet and none of those were true.Be careful about taking your pet here as they seem to care more about money then your pets well being.

We rushed my dog to Adobe after an accident, and Adobe was very caring. They put us up in a grieving room, helped us take fur clippings, gave us helpful pamphlets, and most of all, gave us all the time we needed. No charge for any of this, although we paid for cremation and an urn.

Ive had pretty bad experiences at Adobe Animal Hospital. The doctors seemed very impersonal and wanted to rush through the appointment. My friend has had a similar experience in which their dog was sick, however the doctors told them that the dog would be okay, however, the dog ended up passing away a week or two later.

While some of the doctors and staff are good, the management at this place could care alot more about animals and people.I took my dog there for an emergency visit, and they needed $600 deposit to provide the advised care. I could only come up with $400 tonight, and asked if I could pay the rest in a few days, they said no.I am very said that I could not help my dog, but I think they could have helped me more too.

Oh, we have a tale of woe. We used to use Adobe when they were back at their old location, and they are still the only people around for 24 hour vet service, but when things turned bad, they were really difficult about getting us the body back. Their prices are also 2x higher than the already very very inflated vet costs in the area. I dont want to go into the details, but this place has fallen to only-in-dire-emergency status for us.

I just called Adobe Animal Hospital, and asked to speak to a vet. The manager Katie, who refused to give me her last name, said no. She also refused to give me any office email address. Mid conversation Katie hung up on me. Rude, and will Never go again. Over priced unhelpful, and not a caring vet hospital. Adobe Animal Hospital is now a corporation. And not like a Sutter Health Clinic type of corporation. Feels more like a Bank.

I went in with a friend whos german shepard had to be put to sleep because of hip displacha. They were so kind and sympathic. They actually care about not only about your dog but you as well. I also take my 3 german shepards there and we have had several surgeries as well as regular check ups and they are great. I wouldnt trust anyone else with the care of my precious babies!

I took my canary there with a tight band and swollen foot. Dr. Metzer took him as a walk in and worked on this band for an hour!!. He did not get anesthesia but it almost ended up being surgery. Tina was the tech assisting. It was a very close call but he made it. I was provided amble antibiotic and pain medication. I could not have expected more!! Thank you Tina and Dr. Metzer.

My guinea pig had an accident and was treated by Dr. Blackwolf at Adobe Animal Hospital. She died yesterday and we are heartbroken. The accident should at most let her be lame, but not pass. She was eating/drinking/recovering well, until Dr Blackwolf switched her to steroids.My piggy was initially treated in ER in San Francisco before we switched to urgent care in Adobe. We saw Dr. Blackwolf 3 times in less than two weeks. On my last visit, I asked her if my pig would recover, and she still said yes. Then the next morning, another doctor from Adobe called to say that my pig might pass. I find it very hard to accept.I wish my dear little girl is in heaven now, and I feel sorry for taking her to Adobe. She could have survived the accident without using steroids.

In retospect, I would not have taken our 11 yo Bijan to Adobe. He spent one night there, and billed us a bit more than $4500 ($145 for a PT test that clinical labs charge $4-$31 for?!), and had tumors all throughout his liver. So he is home to die, and we are out the cost of a one week vacation. Not what I would call good value for the money, especially with the ECESSIVELY priced lab tests.

Ive been going here for many years. This place is the best if you have a pet emergency. The Vets are outstanding, even if your pet has medical complications. I highly recommend Adobe. A bit pricey though.
