I shipped my Onkyo receiver here for a warranty repair. I was given a claim number and my receiver was assigned to a technician. Their communication is excellent. I got my receiver shipped back to me working as good as new.You might have to wait a long while to have it repaired though because sometimes they have to wait on a part to get received from Onkyo themselves.

Well, I can say they fixed my pioneer elite receiver model number vsx56txi . I am extremely satisfied with there service, sounds great just like when I bought it 20 years ago. Parts are hard to find, it took about a month and a half to fix but it wasnt their fault. Thank you very much to Doug,Sonny and Garrett. Do recommend this place 👌🏽

Scott and Garrett are excellent technicians. They fixed my Marantz SR7012 surround sound receiver. It had sound and volume issues. They updated the program, fixed the sound and the volume control. Its like a NEW unit!!! I will keep Adams Electronics for all my units when they get sick. They are recommended by me.

I have had two items repaired here, a 5-disc CD player and an Epson projector. Both failed within 2 months of being repaired. For the price I paid to repair them, I could have paid a couple $100 more to buy a brand new one. They charge an unreasonable fee just to take the item, and their cost for parts and labor seems very inflated.For what it is worth, the staff are very nice and communicative.My recommendation: if it is a cheap enough item, just buy new.

I had a great experience with Adams Electronics warranty repair on my Marantz SR6105 receiver. Unit was going in protection mode constantly due to internal component issues. Marantz sent me the shipping label/box for me to send to Adams and within several days of the work order being received, they were able to remediate the faulty component and test accordingly.They shipped it back in the same container and sure enough my unit is back in a good state. I will be using them for any additional issues for my Marantz, assuming its still in warranty given I likely will use someone more local to me in San Francisco. Otherwise, I highly recommend Adams Electronics if you have the Marantz SR AVR platform.

Go here if you want to pay more to fix your item than its worth. Sadly this is why most people just buy new instead of repair; I was charged $200 for a record player that was only worth $140 that I had gotten brand newLet me also add, I was told it would be a 3 day turn around, instead its been over a month.Learn from my mistakes and go anywhere else to avoid this unethical business or fix yourself on YouTube.When I tried to address it I was given the standard policy read back to me, showing zero ownership. The tone of the manager was sarcastic and dismissive. Even when I initially called they couldnt even find the record player with my name and phone number.

These folks did an awesome job on my 30 year old Onkyo Integra A-809 amp! The unit is singing just like the day I originally bought it new!Repair price was reasonable and done quickly.I have it hooked up to a pair of Paradigm mini monitors right now while Adam’s is repairing my DCM Timeframe speakers. I cant wait to experience the sounds coming from them after Adam’s works their magic on them! (The combo of the Onkyo and Timeframes is a match made in heaven)Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help.

I have been coming here for 25 years, however Adams have been servicing the community for 40 years! That says a lot about them.You can find new and used electronic equipment and apparatus. Additionally they service and fix just about anything electronic.Today I was looking for a used fax machine and they sold me a canon fax, copy, scanner at a very good price.Ive also used them for computer check up for virus.Pretty much anything you want in one spot. They should be called a super center.Manager Scott is very knowledgeable and very helpful to answer questions.The store is well organized and clean.They do practice social distancing and a mask is required.Adams is a corner stone in the community and stay busy. While I was there,I noticed that they ship also. Something worth checking into.They are also a recycling center🙌🏽

Its a late review but in June of last year, the top cover glass on my NAD M10 was severely cracked due to a nick-nack that fell on top of it. NAD pointed out I needed to get it repaired through an authorized dealer. When I inquired about getting it repaired, Scott at Adams was prompt to respond, and up front and in the ballpark with what the charges would be to get it fixed. The whole process of getting the unit repaired and returned back to me was smooth.

Yes, yes, yes, it was probably less expensive to purchase a new printer, than have it repaired. But, it turned out just fine. My printer works, and theres one less electronic device in a landfill. I particularly liked speaking with the staff to find out what was the problem.The diagnosis and repairs took 3 days, which was excellent.I even received a follow up message to make sure there werent any unresolved issues.

My 86” LG TV was damaged and LG gave me Adam’s Electronics as a resource to have someone repair the screen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth repairing. Scott was friendly and responsive, letting me know without wasting my time that a replacement would be much more economical. He saved me time and money, as well as provided me information and links for a similar TV to replace mine.Based on this experience I will absolutely make Adam’s Electronic’s my first call for any future electronic needs!

I needed the DMD chip replaced on a LG projector. Took it to Adams Electronics after researching reviews online. They are very busy with repairs, yet they finished my projector sooner than their estimated date to me. Scott and the Team at Adam’s are incredible at what they do. My Denon PMA-50 amp blew. It was 2 months out of warranty, Denon customer service made me look very differently at their brand, Denon’s information line has no service / information, it’s simply a filter to send you to a service center. But fortunately on the list of options I picked Scott’s business. He made my poor experience with Denon completely opposite and hosted me graciously. His whole team was supportive and overly knowledgeable / communicative. They solved the problem, which was a worst case scenario. Scott worked with me from start to finish, remaining flexible and never rigid with his communication. Thank you Scott and your Team!

My old but nice Pioneeer VSX-920 receiver had an issue with the HDMI light blinking ( no signal ). They told me that the HDMI board had to be replaced.Sent it out to be fixed, just got it back a few days ago. Tried it, everything OK.My Sony BD player and my Pioneer LD player both worked perfectly.Good communication, tracking and service. Five star. Nice and professional.

I had a Marantz SR6009 A/V receiver that developed a repeating and continuous “clicking” noise upon powering up. I live in North Dakota, and we are centrally located to most of the Marantz authorized repair centers that were listed on their website.I decided to try Adams Electronics located in Huntington Beach, CA.I went to Adams Electronics website, filled out and submitted their repair form. A short time later they informed me that they could service the unit and provided instructions via email.I sent the unit to them and after they bench tested it, they provided a reasonable repair estimate, fixed the unit and shipped it back to me.The Marantz works flawlessly again, and I couldn’t be happier.Thank you!Aaron M.

I sent in my AV receiver for warranty repair and the process was straightforward and the turnaround time was surprisingly quick. I emailed their customer service with a question and they responded right away with a detailed update. As a suggestion, I would like to see an online form that provides automated tracking and repair status, but that doesn’t detract from the overall positive experience. Thanks.

Last month I brought in a 50 year old SX 828 that had been in storage the last 15 years. They cleaned it up and removed all the snap, crackle and pops from the knobs and switches, and replaced the dial lights and a few other things. Now it sounds as good as new. Highly recommend Adams! Original purchase of my stereo was thru BestBuy, however, I did not get the extended warranty. And Best Buy was not at all helpful. Luckily, my AV unit had a 3-year warranty and Im glad the unit failed within 10 months of purchase. I had to do the work to find out that Adams Electronics was an authorised Pioneer service centre for Pioneer AV equipment. Adams Electronics was very helpful in navigating the warranty and getting the parts needed. It might have taken four months but I am very very happy with the result. They did not mind me calling on a regular basis for status updates and were very forthcoming, honest and trustworthy. Best of all, because my unit was under factory warranty, there was no charge other than shipping the unit to Adams. Return of my unit to me was paid for by Pioneer. I would definitely use Adams Electronics in the future and I highly recommend.

I am blown away by Adams Electronics! They completed my repair in less than half the estimated time, and I had my equipment shipped back and home before they were supposed to even get it through their queue to look at it! This is the second time that Adams Electronics has come through for me in a pinch. First time was for an obscure audio cable needed the next morning for a video shoot. And this evening I was looking at an 8am call time tomorrow and needed a camera plate screw. After trying several other businesses with no luck, (one offered the whole plate for sale but not the screw), Scott and Cierra kindly took the time to help me look through a collection of used parts and came up with the perfect solution for me just minutes before closing time. After years of beloved use, my Onkyo TX-8160 had its power button break off and fall into the chassis. Thinking this would be a quick spare part replacement, I contacted Onkyo to see if they could provide me the part. Onkyo is notorious for providing what I would call, less than satisfactory responses and service. They also operate on this service exclusivity model that feels just very outdated. However, their receiver is fantastic and I really didnt want to replace it just for a power button replacement. Turns out Adams electronics is the only service place out west that is Onkyo certified. How I wish Adams Electronics was my AV place of choice just in my back yard. The level of professionalism, communication, and service is next to none. No wonder Onkyo has given them service certification. Not to mention, theyre like a well oiled machine that coordinated my annoying schedule and shipping requirements. I really wish you guys were in Seattle, because youd be my go to place for all AV gear and repairs. Thank you Tommi and Torri for putting up with all my demands! You guys are the best.

Very disappointed in their service of my Bang and Olufsen speakers. Spoke with 3 people and all 3 are clueless on Bang and Olufsen product line. First call hang up the phone after I corrected him that chassis is not cosmetic part. Second person the owner put me on hold for 15 minutes in hopes I’ll give up. 3 rd call lady picked up Owen attitude and stated every single part on Bang and Olufsen products are called chassis. Now I’m don’t k ow much about repairing things but I know that every part has a name. So did this place give me confidence? Absolutely not. After doing some research online, they seem to be great at repairing kitchen aide mixers and refrigerators but o would not trust anything of Bang and Olufsen.

I brought my 20+ year old Pioneeer receiver in to repair its immediate shutdown after powering up. Just a few days later, I was informed that the receiver was working perfectly, that there were no problems. It was my bad that splicing in a speaker wire extension and soldering the twisted strands created a tiny spike of solder when lifting off the hot iron. Heat shrinking the joint caused the spike to puncture the insulation of the parallel strand. You could barely see the spike but it could be easily felt. A good file fixed the problem. But concerning Adams Electronics, it is NOW MY GO-TO repair shop for my audio equipment. Straight forward, courtesy at the counter, and a long time in business. 🔊🎶 Ill Be Back!

Adam’s electronics charge $120 for a diagnostic fee. Unfortunately, their technicians are not competent in finding the actual issue with the machine even after pinpointing them where to look for the problem by an expert technician in another state. The technicians at Adam Electronics will randomly tell you there is an issue with the machine which in a certain area by telling you that the part is bad and a replacement for that part is unavailable. This is an easy way to say there is a problem to pocket the diagnostic fee.I took in a Pioneer Laserdisc CLD-100A for repair. As stated by Scott at Adam’s Electronics there was a problem with Found bad spindle motor, part was discontinued and no longer available. I had contacted an expert on the machine who was located in New Mexico and he recommendedYou may want to try to source one from another player, such as CLD s201 or E2000. However, I would be hesitant to think the spindle motor is at fault. You may want to verify that you have proper voltages on the FTSB board. Disconnect the laser white flex cable and power to VIDEO and then probe the labeled voltage jumpers on FTSB. After picking up the machine back from Adam’s electronics I shipped the unit to the expert in New Mexico and he fixed it and told me there was nothing wrong spindle motor and it was a misdiagnosis by the technicians at Adam electronics. The problem was in the FTSB board which he had recommended to have checked by the technicians at Adam’s electronics.Even after pinpointing them where to look for the problem the technicians were both incompetent and lazy in finding the problem with the machine.

I had a very frustrating intermittent problem with my Onkyo preamp, and they took the time to diagnose it and fix it, even though the diagnosis took several days. The technician kept me informed as to the progress and what to expect, and was very friendly and helpful as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Adams to anyone. I had this store do a repair on a Sony Camera of mine last July to August. My camera was under warranty with New Leaf. The repair person is Toni. She did a good job but the lens attachment on my camera feels something is missing. The lens fits, yet it slightly wiggles. There’s a missing part that is not installed. I’m not totally satisfied. I live in Fontana and called 2 times. The lady I spoke to have retold me she would not be in in the days that I can make out to meet her. I live over one hour drive. Suddenly due to sickness I couldn’t bring the camera back in time to have it rechecked. Anyways, the camera still works with my current lenses. I will just make this a camera a back up for the work that I do. I hope it doesn’t destroy any of my current lenses in the future. My conversations on the phone with Toni was not very pleasant either. I also didn’t feel that she would be happy to work with me again with her tone on the phone. I would prefer to no longer do business with them because of the lack of professionalism.Update 1hr after review: Immediately after posting a review Scott from the repair shop gave me a call. He formally asked me to to work together. I’m still not well enough to go this week but he is ok to wait for me to get better first then he will take a look on how to fix my camera. On the phone he was pleasant, professional, and he listened to my concerns. I really appreciate his help. I will provide another update once after my repair is resolved.

This is a partial review for Adams Electronics. Date: Dec 21 2020. Have an issue with my Onkyo A/V receiver and manufactures warranty will expire on Jan 1st 2021. Had to ship it to Adams in California from Seattle WA and was concerned it would not make it there before warranty date. I was totally surprised when I got a call from Adams service department on Dec 23rd that it had arrived and they wanted to let me know. Outstanding start to the repair process. She also informed me that it could be weeks or months for the repair due to new owners of Onkyo Corp and availability of parts if needed. I was given the service tag number and told they would keep me up to date on the progress. So far so good! I will continue the review of this business when I receive the unit back.UPDATE:01/6/2021Received my audio equipment back today with paperwork showing diagnosis and resulting repair and testing. Im assuming no parts were required as the repair description stated system hard-reset and firmware update. Odd, because I had originally contacted Onkyo support and asked them if there was some sort of hard reset I could perform, to which they replied no, I would have to send it in for repair. Wish I had known the truth before I spent $$ on shipping. Oh well, this is a review for Adams Electronics anyway. I am very happy with their prompt professional service and customer support. The only negative on my experience is that communication DURING this repair process was lacking. I had to call them myself to inquire as to the progress of the repair and I was told that it had been completed and item was shipped to be returned two days prior. I had to ask them to send me a text message with the shipping info. All in all, my A/V device is functioning great again. Thank you

I took in my dads old Marantz receiver to get refurbished/rebuild and was ready to lay down some money to fix thing up. My dad passed away earlier this year and I explained that to them. So, they have a pretty standard upfront charge of $80 to diagnose your electronics and advise what it needs.About a week later the “technician” calls and tells me it needs an antenna (that’s visibly broken from the outside of the receiver) and that he couldn’t find a replacement part. I told him I’d look and he said he would continue looking as well. Another week goes by and a girl calls me offering to donate it. 😢 I tell her of course not because of its sentimental value and so I go pick up a day or so later.I get there and they’re still charging me $80 only telling me it has the broken antenna that you can see without opening the device. I was told by Scott that the device was opened and the “tech” went through it and found missing parts, but did not have anything to show like a list or schematic. I explain to him that I’m also in the service industry and when we don’t give people the service of actual diagnosis then we don’t charge them because you’re not providing a service that was promised. He gave me a $40 refund which was appreciated with the understanding he would provide a list or schematic of what my device needed.He emailed me a schematic of the same broken/missing antenna circled and nothing else. So much for the alleged “missing parts” from the inside of the receiver.I will not be taking my electronic devices there anymore and will be challenging my credit card charge. Again, I planned on laying down some money having my device refurbished, but this was poor service.

I had a receiver that went out with only a month left on the warranty. I contacted Denon and they sent a list of repair centers. I chose Adams because of their location and the reviews. I was expecting a long drawn out system, but it couldnt be easier. They had complete instructions available on how to handle sending it in, they called to let me know every step of the way, parts were ordered, receiver was being sent back etc. I would recommend and use them for anything they do. My Marantz amplifier was having an issue. It was under warranty. I live in California and Marantz recommended Adams Electronics for warranty repair. I called them and they were very pleasant on the phone and explained what I needed to do. One day after receiving my amplifier, they called me and explained the problem. The amplifier could not be fixed and Marantz would send me a new one. They explained that I didnt have to do anything, they took care of it all. WOW, what great and fast service.

Kevin was our technician and he was just great. We had contacted the manufacturer and described our problem with our appliance because we were told it wasn’t being made any more and we could no longer get parts! Amazingly, not only was the appliance still being made but so were the parts. We described the problem to Broan and they diagnosed it over the phone. We bought the parts, sent pictures to Adam Electronic’s technician and he came out and fixed it! Two other companies said it couldn’t be fixed and one other made repairs sound like an all day job! We were very pleased with Adams Electronics.

I had a karaoke mixer Martin Roland that I had a issue with the microphone line and wasn’t producing sound and wired speaker line wasn’t working... They fix all that for me for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Scott even help me bring my amp to the car and we had a nice conversation. I took my Integra home theater receiver to Adams for diagnosis when the sound was no longer working for any source (DVR, CD, blu-ray, etc.). They told me the diagnosis would take about 1 week, and the fix & cost would depend on any parts delivery (if needed) from Integra. The diagnosis and est. cost was completed on time, the cost was reasonable so I gave the go ahead on the fix. Everything is working great! Great Job!

Our Marantz receiver was not working, so I brought it in to Adams Electronics, per Marantzs instructions. The staff was very friendly and nice. Once the problem was diagnosed, the part needed was ordered and repaired. I want to express my high-level satisfaction with the great repair work done on two Onkyo AV receivers by Jennifer N. Previously I had taken one of the receivers to another repair shop and they could not solve the problem and finally after a second visit said that it needed a new circuit board which was not available. The second AV receiver was taken to another repair shop and they said that it also needed a new circuit board which was not available, so they could not repair. Needless to say I was extremely pleased that both of these receivers were promptly and correctly diagnosed by Jennifer at Adams Electronics with the needed repair boards installed. I have an in-warranty Marantz SR8012 Receiver that had a problem when playing back music. It sounded really bad. Also had an intermittent problem with the remote or my phone app not increasing the volume on bass channels. I had to go into setup and test tones to increase or decrease the volume. Then the bass sounded muddy and over modulated and muffled.I knew the problem with the music sounding bad was going to be a tuff problem to fix. When I called Adams Electronics the lady that answered the phone was warm and friendly. I explained the problem I was having and she assured me they could fix it as they had receivers in their shop to be serviced with that type of problem before. I shipped them my receiver. In a couple of weeks, I called to check the status of my receiver, the tech was out that day.I work nights and left a message for the tech to call me at 2 PM MST. Next day Brady promptly called me at 2 PM as requested. She mentioned the issue with turning up or down the bass volume from remote or phone app was resolved with a firmware update that is not available to the public. Then the problem I had with music sounding bad was within the limits on the receiver. When comparing my receiver to another Marantz they had in the shop the exact same model. That the music playback sounded very similar.Brady was not going to give up and said she would call Marantz after the holiday and discuss my problem with them. In two days, I received a call after 2 PM and Brady mentioned that Marantz was going to swap out my receiver with a new SR8012. I was absolutely thrilled to hear that news. Brady really did me a solid by taking that extra step to solve my problem and not just give up and send my receiver back to me. This says a lot about her work ethics and determination to solve the customers problem.Adams Electronics really does care about their customers. I highly recommend them to service your electronics.

I hardly ever reviews because Im lazy but this place is amazing!! I sent them my Onkyo receiver which was having severe audio issues. Whenever it got hot or switched too many times between hdmi inputs the audio would just cut out. Ive had it less than a year so it was still under warranty. Went to Onkyos website and it told me this was the only choice I had, glad it was. Went to Adams Electronics website and did what it said, I sent it UPS 2 day ground.Got their on a Thursday afternoon, Jennifer N. my technician, was able to find the issue by Friday and order the part(3-4 business days). It was the hdmi processing board. By Thursday the following week it was fixed and shipped out at no cost to me, again under warranty. Thank you again Jennifer you did an awesome job, no problems at all!!! Btw its been about 3 weeks since I got the receiver back. I had a Denon Receiver that in the first year developed a habit of dropping signal to the right main speaker. When tapping the top back of the receiver, near the speaker jacks, the sound would reappear. I drove it up to Adams Electronics for repair but the travel must have knocked some sense into it and it worked fine for as long as the unknown technician was willing to attempt to replicate the problem. It was returned to me with no changes made and in fact it worked for a few weeks. Once the audio dropout issue reappeared, I recorded video of myself trouble shooting, switching wires to demonstrate it was not the cables or speaker that was the culprit, and included the tap tap tap on the receiver that made the sound louder and louder until it was at full volume. Adams Electronics accepted the receiver and video and escalated to their technician Steve. Again, the receiver seemed to operate normally in the shop, but given the video and a chat over the phone, Steve decided to replace a part that he would not be able to immediately verify that it actually fixed the problem. A leap of faith on his part, really, and I am happy to report that his diagnosis was spot on and the sound has been full and strong for over three months.I appreciate Steve’s experience, perseverance, and instinct. All of the work was covered under warranty and all of Adam’s Electronics staff were pleasant and professional throughout the process. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your A/V repair needs.

I sent my 3 yr old Onkyo receiver in to Adams due to the fact that it would shut off almost immediately after turning it on. I have battled this problem since a year after I got the unit new. I sent it in twice before to a different authorized Onkyo service center & they were never able to find the problem. When the receiver started to do this again about 2 weeks ago I selected Adams as it was a different authorized service center. The Electronics Technician that was servicing my system, Hailey, was able to find the problem & fix it. I recently had an issue with an amplifier I bought and had installed by a surround technician. It is a Denon brand. about 1 3/4 years later, the display stopped working. The technician who installed it said it probably was an internal fuse, but he couldnt work on it. I called the manufacturer and they said a company in southern CA could work on it but I had to send it down there and I only had a month or so left on the 2 year warranty. I sent the unit down to Adams Electronics in Huntington Beach and crossed my fingers! About 2 weeks later I got a notice that I had an insured package arriving that required a signature. I received the amplifier back and installed it and low and behold, it works again. I got a message with it saying that Tommi worked on and if I had any issues to contact him. This is the first time in a long time first of all that what I had broke DURING a warranty period. But just as important, the technician told me his name and if I had problems, to call him! Called Denon Manufacturing and they sent me a list of perspective repair / warranty Authorized Denon facilities. Amazing! I have an Onkyo receiver, it just went out of warranty, and had no audio output, network apps, etc... I contacted Onkyo, they extended my warranty, and covered my unit. I had to ship it from Arizona to Huntington Beach as they were the closest authorized repair center. It was about $30 to ship it, but as they extended my warranty, it was a fair tradeoff.I shipped it via UPS ground on Friday, it arrived at Adams on Wednesday. At this point, I expected it to take another week or two for the repair and to receive my unit back. Well, to my surprise, that FRIDAY (yes, 2 days after they had received it) FedEx was at my door with my receiver. At first, I was hesitant. I thought maybe they couldnt repair it and they were just shipping it back etc... I opened the box, found the invoice and it stated they replaced hardware, updated the firmware and tested. Still, I hoped it was all working, but wouldnt know until I hooked everything back up and tested myself.An hour later... testing complete, everything worked at it did when I first bought it. I have an Integra (Onkyo) DRX-3 receiver Im using for my home theater. One day it stopped working and crippled my theater - no sound, no nothing. So I called the company that made it and they directed me to the nearest service center is in Southern California (I live in Las Vegas) -- Adams Electronics. I called and spoke with Tommi, who was immediately able to confirm my warranty. So I drove down to personally deliver it for warranty repair or replacement. I was expecting some huge Integra/Onkyo factory but found a nice little mom-and-pop electronics store with every single power cable you could imagine. Tommi was able to fix my receiver within a week - apparently something was fried inside and the firmware was corrupted. I couldnt believe that she was able to take the guts apart of my receiver and replace the broken part and update the firmware - I was almost certain that the whole unit would need replacing. Now my theater is back up and running smoothly. Im writing this review because I am impressed by their technical ability, professionalism, and kindness at Adams Electronics. June 2012, I took my Sony Vaio in with a broken plug for repair, and they said it was design flaw and I had two options, replace the entire back hard case or just the plug portion. I opted for the plug portion but asked that they leave a 2-3 tether hanging out so that this problem would not happen again and so I had something to hold on to when I removed the power cord plug, and they said not a problem. When I picked up my computer, it was flush with the hard case, which was not what I asked for, but have you ever been without your work computer for several days? You just want the dang thing back.Fast forward to late September 2012. Less than 3 1/2 months later. Same issue, the power plug has become separated from the rest of the internal workings. I take it back, and they refuse to do anything about it (past our 30 day warranty, Sony doesnt make the part that way, we would never do that repair your repair form did not expressly ask for the extra length tether). But the kicker is this. The person at the counter has no technical ability and would not know that we wouldnt do that.If you are going to have a person at the counter receiving incoming repairs, then it would be a good idea to have them make sure that you would do that repair before taking in the laptop, not after screwing up the repair and charging me $180 for it.I repeatedly made a point of asking for the extra length tether for the power port to your counter assistant. It wasnt on my written repair order so I got burned. You have video cameras everywhere in the store--review the footage from 6/14/2012 if you want to dispute this review. Otherwise, make sure when you tell a customer that you can make a repair and take their money, that you can actually do it.Horrible service experience.

They were slow and took over 2 months to repair my receiver the first time. Assuming they had to wait for parts I accepted it and paid the $200. I used it 5 times over a 2 months and it had the same issue. When I brought it back they were rude, the owner/manager wouldnt even talk to me about what was wrong, if it was worth repairing and sent a high school kid over to avoid talking unless I paid an $80 fee again even though they had just worked on it.

Today I took in my laptop because my mouse pad had stopped working. I had just went to the Geek Squad at Best Buy because I had purchased a warranty. Today I was told it did not include technical support. Best Buy gave me a quick assessment that a virus had seized my computer and I would need to purchase a tech plan for a minimum of $199.00. I have a integra 30.4 receiver that I bought almost two years ago. I was having trouble with it going into the now initializing mode every time I turned it on. So I was forced to manually switch the receiver to another source and then back to the source that I wanted to listen too. This would happen every time I turned it on. Then after a couple of weeks of this, the receiver would go into the now calibrate mode and I was forced to recalibrate. Forcing me to recalibrate the speakers too the room. Not to bad at first but it turned into a chore in a hurry. So I sent it to Kings audio and video for warranty service. This would cost me one hundred dollars with the insurance each time I shipped it to Kings audio video and it would take several weeks before I got my receiver back, so then I would be sitting without my receiver leaving sixteen thousand dollars worth of equipment ideal. When I got my receiver back it worked as badly as it did when I sent it in, right out of the box. So I called Kings audio and video to talk to the technician who fixed it { supposedly }. The tech. told me that I must have hooked it up wrong, because he had fixed everything that was wrong with it and he had been a Tech for over 30 years, he said it must be bad speaker wires and that I should replace all my speaker wires. I told him that I installed all new wires when I hooked the receiver up the first time and that is not the problem. I told him that I wanted to return it again for repair. So I sent it back to Kings audio and video, knowing that it would cost me another one hundred out of pocket dollars. After about a week or so he called me up and told me that it worked fine and had no problems. I then asked him to please check out all the systems on the receiver because I was absolutely having the same problems that I was having the first time that I sent it in, along with an occasional purple screen. He told me he did not want to work on it anymore because they werent making any money on this unit anymore. Then after a little more discussion he said that, he would look at it again. So now everything was down again for a few more weeks as well as now an extra two hundred dollars total for two shipping sessions. Then when I got it back from Kings audio and video it was still the same as it was before I sent it in the first time. So then I gave up on Kings audio and video, but not knowing what really to do. So I started to look around for a new receiver but could not find a better replacement for my 30.4 Integra, not to mention the thousand dollars plus of out of pocket expense for a new receiver. [ remember this receiver was still under warranty and Im already looking for a replacement ] because of Kings audio and video. I was so frustrated with this situation that I decided to call Onkyo customer service to see what they recommended. So Onkyo then gave me the name and number of Adams Electronics and sent me a new shipping box and prepaid shipping label. After a week or so I received a phone call from Steve at Adams electronics. He was very professional and helpful. we discussed the concerns that I was having and he said he would look into fixing the receiver. We had a couple more correspondences about the concerns I was having, he said he wanted to get this receiver right this time. He was very helpful. After a few weeks [ he had to order parts for it] when I got the receiver back it worked flawlessly. I have had my receiver back for a couple of weeks now and not one single issue. Since Im now in the metro-Phoenix area (Glendale) of Arizona as opposed to Los Angeles, CA, the local authorized dealer for Marantz is no longer authorized and the nearest is Adams Electronics in Huntington Beach, CA. So after seeing their website and feeling comfortable enough to ship it, I sent it via UPS and hoped everything would go well sight unseen....and it did!At first I didnt get a phone call right away but not their fault as they actually did, it was my voice-mail delayed the message a day later. After that, the technician Steve was very on top of things and would call with constant updates on the status. Since I needed a new HDMI board, it had to be shipped from Marantz back on the east coast (NJ). And being that weather in March in NJ is different than in CA, there were the usual shipping delays.In the end the board came back and it was a simple remove & replace, and now my front left/right channels are producing audio as is my HDMI1-ARC. The repair cost was reasonable and had I lived close by I wouldve avoided the shipping cost but I obviously couldnt avoid that. All said, the customer service was excellent and Steve was very knowledgeable and courtesy and always was in touch about my AVR (Marantz SR-7005). It took them ONE MONTH TO REPAIR my Canon MG5320 printer that stopped working after 5 months. I say repair because I will pick up the printer tomorrow and thoroughly test it, including ink levels (brand new cartridges when I took it in). I requested a stand-in printer or reimbursement for color printing receipts since I had been using this printer for 5-8 color prints weekly. They over charged me, and on top of that they did not fix the problem with both my TVs. They just fix the most expensive parts, when I got my TVs home both were still broken. They dont diagnose anyrhing, they just run up your bill by replacing the most expensive parts and assume it will fix your electronics. I have a 20 year old JVC MX-G500 Compact Component Stereo System that had a broken tape player, was very dusty inside and the disc player was exhibiting strange behavior when trying to open and close the CD drawer or change discs. This is a fine system that is no longer being made following JVCs merger with Kenwood 10 years ago. The nice folks at Adams were able to fix my JVCs problems and remove the dust from inside the CD and tape players. The system is now running like new. Technician Bradi P. was the one who did the work on my piece and not only did she repair everything, she did so in good time and when I asked, even explained to me, in less than a minute, what the main problem was and how some circuit boards are more sensitive than others and require different repair methods. So I learned something new also.Everyone else I spoke with was great too, knowledgable, attentive. Id not hesitate for a nanosecond to entrust any other electronic repairs I might have to Adams Electronics in the future.

Very shady way to do business. I brought my TV in for an estimate for repair. First, they make you pay $80 just to look at it, but do say that amount will count towards any further repair cost. Then they gave me another estimate for my TV of about $170 and say this is normally the range the repair cost for these TVs but sometimes is cheaper. Then 5 days later I call back to check in, when they said they would call me back in two (which they did not), just to find out my estimate went up, over $450 dollars!!! Haha, that is crazy, you can buy a brand new 55 inch, smart tv for that price. Guess this a really good way for them to easily make $80. You need to be more accurate with your estimates. Thank you for making me waste my time and money. I highly urge anyone thinking of going to this company for a TV repair to think twice, it is not a good idea, learn from my mistake and just spend the money on a new TV.

I have my NAD M5 check in Friday, problems? it does not read CD. The initial charge $85 have to pay upfront for diagnostic, the promise ? they will call me Monday for the estimate before action. Adams Electonics went way out of their way to fix a small device that had broken and was no longer available to purchase. I dont think anyone else would have even tried to fix this for me but they made the effort and kept trying different things to get it working (and calling me periodically to give me a status). Although, I thought the chance of getting my device to actually work was slip, they did it, they got it fixed. These folks are amazing and they are now the only electronics store I will go to for repairs.

Id give no stars if possible. I brought two items in for repair on Tuesday 2/25/14. A tabletop stereo that one side stopped playing and a small, cheap, lazer light for using in a party room.The VERY nice and attentive young lady was unsure about the lazer light. Honestly the only thing wrong with it was the receptacle for the for the power cord broke off internally. It simply needs a new one soldered onto the board. Id opened this and looked at it and confirmed it and that is works just fine when the power cord is manually held in place. If I had a small enough soldering iron I could replace the part myself, but I do not. The issue is a 5 minute repair at most with most of that time being unscrewing the case to access the part. Again, I know this as Ive already done all that.I was MORE than happy to pay what ever rate it took to just add it onto the stereo repair knowing full well, it was probably more than the light was worth.The very nice helpful young lady tried to ask 3 different people about this and nobody would help her. Finally some old, extremely grouchy guy berated her in front of my wife and I, several other employees and another customer in the lobby. He would not even look at it nor would he talk to us for me to explain. He simply treated the young lady poorly and blew her off.After that I decided to take both repairs to a competitor who is performing the work right now.Having experience dealing with employees and customers in a business environment, I feel this old man, no matter who he is, (owner, manager, company janitor) owes the young lady as well as my wife an I an apology, that I know the grouch will not give. He has no business what so ever in a customer related environment and no business what so ever dealing with employees of any kind.I see they get a great reputation for the quality of work they do, but theyve lost my business for good and I have no problem what so ever telling anybody I need to of this experience.Avoid them at all cost and drive a few extra miles. Youll be happy you did.

The single handedly worst computer repair shop I have ever stepped foot in. I brought my computer in for a recurring issue I was having with it, and these people took about a full week to get back to me, not to mention they were wrong about the entire thing! They said it was my graphics card that was the issue but that is not the case. Whoever worked on my computer aswell, for some reason decided to remove my current graphics card from my computer, and when I went in to receive my computer, it was outside of it and stuffed inside of a plastic sea-through bag. Got home, put it back in, plugged my display port into my monitor and graphics card, and no signal displays. Man literally broke my graphics card and was wrong about it in the first place.
