Customer service must be a focus and any concerns or issues that are address should be handled in the office and a follow up with a 48 hour. With the customer. Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor. He cares about his patience.

From the young Lady that checked me in, to the Medical Assistant Kimberly that checked my eyes prior to seeing the doctor, it was a pleasant and fast encounter. The staff are professional, personable, and friendly. The doctor took his time with me and answered my questions to my satisfaction.

Thus far, not great.My farther elderly 81 year old, waited 45 minutes to be seen to only be told he will wait anywhere between 2-3 hours to see his eye doctor.To make the matters worst, the restroom facilities were out are of order/not on service.The waiting area was packed. Individuals between the ages of 40 and up all having to figure out seating.Staff, female at the desk was not friendly.Though my first experience at the El Cajon location was great. This location is not.

I do not do many reviews . However, after being a patient of Dr. Patel and the Acuity Eye Group(National City, Plaza Blvd.) for nearly 4 years I need to let people know how top quality this office is. In the summer of Covid(2020), I starting experiencing great, great pain behind my right eye. It was so severe I thought I had a brain aneurysm. I went to the emergency room at two different hospitals in San Diego and was given codeine and eye drops. The pain did not stop. The third time that it got severe I went to the Grossmont Hospital Emergency Room. Dr. Patel was on duty .He examined me and immediately told me that I would be going to surgery tomorrow morning to remove the shattered lens behind my right eye retina. I was in the operating room the next day and Dr Patel removed my severely damaged lens. The pain was gone. Since the operation Dr Patel has reached out to me regularly to check on me and see how Im doing. Hes one of the nicest men Ive ever met in my life and his talent, professionalism, and genuine care of his patients is unmatched . During these past years I have also worked with his office personnel . They emulate Dr Patel in everyway . Just recently I had a important emergency situation that Dr. Patel and his staff handled for me. The call center, Marissa, outstanding customer service! Charlene, one of Dr Patels awesome staff members in National City, came through with flying colors! This is the place for great quality eye work and customer service . Also one last thing, I believe Dr Patel has been on the cover of GQ magazine. 10 STARS!

I loved the service I received here. Appointment time is respected, staff is very knowledgeable and efficient. They arranged all the appointments and surgery times promptly. And Dr. Patel is wonderful. Would highly recommend.

First and Last visit!Very unprofessional personnel. Poor customer service skills. No communication skills. First, at the time of making an appointment, they lied saying that my insurance covers exam for contacts. When I went for exam at the scheduled date, they requested additional pay for it. I declined and they made it obvious that they didnt like it. I asked doctor (dont remember and dont want to remember her name) what is my uncorrected vision in numbers, she said she cannot tell now and when I asked to check it for me (needed to know for my record and that was during my appointment time), she said she has another patient...Placed an order for glasses based on prescription provided by them. Waited for about 5(!) weeks- no call or text. Called them to check the status. The guy from the desk where glasses are displayed was trying to convince that they called me twice (lie - I was waiting for their call to get my glasses). Another awkward situation is that the glasses they gave me not even appropriate for my prescription. The same guy with long hair working at that shop corner stated that my insurance doesnt cover it.. Then why didnt you tell me that first day?? And why are you giving me a glasses that doesnt match my prescription? Honestly, I wasnt sure if it was even legal. I drove one block down and just threw them away.I dont know what they did to my eyes and what type of drops they used, but my eyes were in pain for about two weeks after performing exam with them - never experienced anything like that before. The next day after having exam here, I contacted another clinic, made another exam and purchased different glasses.Will never go to this place ever again! Ill rather pay from my pocket and get right treatment from professional and respectful people.

We were running 15 min late and called and were told to go in, 15 min late was ok. Appt was at 3, they arrived at 3:15. They refused to see them. They ran as fast as people in their 80s can go. Why tell them to go in if they would be refused? 40 minute round-trip. Kind of cruel in my opinion. They rescheduled them but we wont be going back.

2nd visit was not exactly what I’ve experience on my first visit that was awesome with friendly staff. This 2nd visit was so dissappointing, the person in the front was so rude and mean. And that she whispered something to the other staff that made them look in my direction. I felt so uncomfortable. Not everyday is a good day in the clinic. Depends on the person assisting you.

I visited the National city location on Plaza Blvd today and Dr. Sarjan Patel is such a great Dr.,he explains everything very well, answered all of my questions and puts my mind at ease and he was very friendly and took his time and wasnt rushed! The back office technicians Marcos and Victor were so friendly, professional and very Thorough when it came to doing all of the testing! They made my experience very pleasant! The environment of the office seemed very calm and smooth running! The office manager Grace approached me and introduced herself and wanted to make sure that I was well taken care of! The customer service was very attentive and they made me feel so comfortable! You will not regret attending this office!
