Outstanding technicians. Angel was on top of every issue. Both Angel and Mathew were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The Action AC team was quick and thorough, with the our sales representative, Neil, even conducting a site visit to ensure all was going well. From start to finish every detail was addressed including maintenance and thermostat instruction as well as clean up. Action AC has my highest recommendation.

My experience with Action Air has been exception. I had an urgent need for an air conditioner evaluation as my system stopped working on one of our hottest days. Jordan was able to get me a pretty quick appointment (faster than any other companies). I was very impressed with the appointment confirmation and reminder process. Having a picture of the professional that came to the door gave me further confidence in the company. Nicholas did an exceptional job assessing my unit with strong recommendations on next steps. He was professional and provided great education. He answered my questions and never made me feel rushed. Thank you for your exceptional service and I will certainly recommend when the opportunity presents itself.

They got the problem fixed quickly.In additional, I want to let you know that I received excellent service from Alicia who took my call today. I had originally called on Sunday 06-23-2024 and left a message with someone about my problem with my a/c not working and that the thermostat had a black display. He indicated that he would relay my message to the office, and I could expect a call back on Monday morning. (Sunday was extremely hot, about 100 degrees and it was the first time since my unit was installed in Nov. 2023, that I had even turned on the a/c.)I waited on Monday, 06-24-2024 until 11:30 am with no return call, so I called again around noon to ask about when someone was going to contact me regarding my a/c as my first call was on Sunday. I was told someone would return my call on Monday.I was told that she had no record of my call from Sunday, but she would make sure that someone would contact me on Tuesday.Well, on Tuesday, 06-25-2024 I had not received a return, so I again called back at noon and finally, reached someone who could help me. Alicia was very helpful and apologized about my not getting a call back. She indicated that there had been so many people calling due to the heat wave on Sunday. She was exceptionally helpful and was able to talk with the department that did service calls. She found that they had someone in Ramona today and that he could come today between 3pm and 5pm. I was thrilled! She provided excellent service and helped me resolve my problem. You have a very valuable employee in Alicia.She went that extra bit to take care of my problem, which I really appreciate. She was professional, very kind and caring. Kevin was great. Diagnosed problem immediately and replaced the faulty component. His service was superb. BUT the overall performance of Action Air was terrible and only one star. Poor communications. Inability to schedule a warranty appointment. Rude employee who called herself a “receptionist” and yet had no ability to contact Service except via email. We will not use Action again to replace our other aging unit.

Called Action Air, to come out and look at my malfunction system. Great service from the person taking the call, set up an appointment for same day. Later in the day got a call from David saying he could be earlier than the appointment time if that worked for us.When David arrived he got to work quickly and diagnosed the problem/ fixed it and suggested other preventative repairs we might get done. Both folks I dealt with were polite, helpful and friendly.

We got our system through Costco. The install team had their work cut out for them. Our home built in 1976 was constructed without air conditioning in mind. David and his install team did a great job.10 months have passed and Tanner came by for maintenance, upkeep, system checks and a filter replacement.It all looks good. No issues.

They came promptly when called to deal with a short cycle problem when we first lit off the AC for the summer. The tech was knowledgeable, thorough, and courteous. He took pictures throughout the maintenance process.and came up with legitimate solution options to the issues left by the original HVAC installer (now out of business). Action Air conditioning also has a great year to year maintenance subscription plan at a reasonable cost that will winter light-off checks for the furnace and summer light-off next year for the AC.

Action, air conditioning and heating just installed a dual source heat pump with complete new ducting in our home. We are extremely pleased with the workmanship and the way they communicated before and during the installation process. Action did a great job installing my AC 8 years ago.2 years ago and again today 6/6/24 they came to perform a $69 annual service. They forgot all about the ten year warranty included when they sold it to me. They quoted $1045 to diagnose the current issues they discovered and thousands more to fix what ever they may find. Great on the front end, then they try to make up for great initial pricing with their continuing service prices.

Called about a 40 year old furnace that wouldn’t put out heat and fan continuously running even when thermostat turned off. Christian was our tech and extremely kind and knowledgeable. He was patient with all of our questions too. He gently nudged us in the direction of a whole new heating and AC system but not pushy. He was more than happy to repair current furnace, but the cost was so high it doesn’t make sense. Christian even checked in and followed up on us twice. I’m now scheduling an in home estimate for a new system. Thanks to Christian, I now have a feeling of trust moving forward with Action Air.

With a heater located in the attic, the technician could have told me a number of things were wrong with the unit. So often, unfortunately technicians take advantage of the position we are in, which is vulnerable!Hector did a thorough evaluation of my heating unit. I am so grateful that he did not attempt to sell me on a new unit that was not needed. With the replacement of a fuse, my heating system is in great working order. I called Action Air Conditioning and Heating on a Friday and had an appointment booked for the following Monday. They were able to accommodate me on my tight schedule which I was super grateful for. From the moment I called, the woman who helped me was so personable, positive, and professional and was quoted a price for the small job I needed, which was affordable. I received plenty of notice to remind me and they even sent a photo of the technician who will be completing the work, which made me feel extra comfortable. We have used Action two times previously and they were on time, professional and thorough. Today we just gave them the contract to replace our 20 year old central air and heating system. Their consultant, Steve Gill, was very knowledgeable about the options. He took his time to explain the various options, did not try to upsell, explained permitting costs and showed us the work they would do to bring the system up to code in current standards. The entire experience with Action Air from the start of the education process with the Account Rep all the way to installation and communication was excellent. Every step was properly communicated and followed up by a LIVE person 👍! The first time the crew came here and due to heavy rains I requested to reschedule and they gladly accommodated that. A wonderful team to work with. Few days after installation I noticed some issues with the triggering of the machine and they immediately sent technicians next day to check everything out and to ensure it was not a unit problem but a feature of the unit where a delay occurs during heat mode. Thomas Batterton arrived at my home at 11 am, as agreed. He spoke about Action. I was refered to Action by Costco. I had many question. He answered them all. He educated us on heat pumps. Gave us extensive information. He looked up in our attic, surveyed what was needed. ceilling in the hall had water damage from our current ducking, he would install second drip pan. The area in our attic is limited. He spent some time looking for a unit that could accommodate our situation. He had a long conversation with my husband answering his questions and giving him updated information. Thomas was here 3 hours, working with us that entire time. We were satisfied enough that we purchased a Lennox unit that he covered completely as to why it was the correct choice for us. Action spells out all of their services and they offer more than the other companies we looked into so excellent service I trust them also because they work for Costco exclusively. I highly recommend Action Air and the Lennox system purchased through Costco.The salesman Justin was authentic, honest, and direct, with no nonsense and no hype. I never felt pressured and he always responded to my follow-up questions and calls. If you have a chance to work with Justin you will not be disappointed. Based on my experience with him, I would vouch for his integrity. His recommendations perfectly matched my needs.The installation manager, David, ensured that all of our concerns were addressed before the installation. He went above and beyond to take care of us. David was responsive, caring, and considerate. The installers, Devon and Roberto, performed the work with care and professionalism and had a great attitude. They take great pride in their work and did a fantastic job in the time promised.The HVAC system is elegant and advanced. The outside unit looks robust and is incredibly quiet–I am sure my neighbors appreciate this. The furnace is quiet and gentle, yet powerful. We have never had airflow this good in the 30 years of living in this house. I have no doubt we will see significant energy savings over our previous system.We replaced our ductwork with new R8 ducts. I attribute part of the excellent airflow we have now to Roberto’s careful choice of routing, duct sizes, junction choices, and meticulous and thorough work. It is great to see people who still take pride in their work.I did a mountain of research going into this project and learned more than I needed to about HVAC systems. I am convinced that I made not only the right choice in product and company, it was the best choice for my needs.I am happy to answer any questions that may be helpful to others. I’ve used Action Air many times, once to replace a furnace and have a downstairs AC unit installed. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and explain things in details. I also signed up for a annual checkup on my AC units and furnaces.I had them back today because my AC thermostat was blinking “cool on” which I thought it meant something was wrong with the unit when all it means is it’s timing out. I wish the girl knew that when I called in because it would’ve saved me $65.Update: AC still not working correctly, it’s set on 73 and it’s 77 degrees, the unit flashes “cool on” and turns off then after a couple of minutes it turns back on and then back off. This is not normal and I was told it is, I couldn’t get the upstairs to cool down and almost one hour 20 minutes later it still didn’t get down to 73, I couldn’t get it below 77 degrees.Checkout video and picture to see how this is supposedly normal. This never happened before until I had them in a couple of months ago for a “tuneup.” They’re sending a “more senior tech” this Monday to take a look but if I want the most senior tech I have to wait till next Friday. Or if I want to pay overtime he can come out sooner.I’ve changed the amount of stars based on this experience.Update Monday 7/31: A more senior tech came out today and found out right away what the issue was. He was very thorough, explained everything in detail and fixed the problem. I’m so happy I have consistent AC upstairs now when I want it. I’m changing my review back to 4 starts because these things happen and they’ve always given great service.

I had Action Air install mini-split units in 2 properties and was very happy with the work. One thing impressive about the company is their responsiveness to any questions/concerns. Additionally, after a thorough inspection & use of the units for a of week or two, I asked them to take care of a couple of minor items. They had a tech here within a couple of days and took care of everything to my satisfaction. I highly recommend the company for the quality of their work. The Lennox units they installed are whisper quiet.

I won’t know until gets hot if the ac works like it’s supposed too but Preston showed up on time and explained things clearly . Showed me how to operate our new system and what to expect. They did a nail check in our garage and driveway which very few contractors have done. I would recommend action air and Preston . I always obtain 3 bids and they were within $500 of the others but in business longer and offered more options and financing. But I will definitely update this summer after we run our variable speed ac and let you know if we see a noticed difference in bill and comfortable. Action Air replaced our furnace and installed AC. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Because of the narrow space to put the air conditioner, we had to install a taller, slimmer unit. I wanted to make sure there was a 3’ clearance on the sidewalk. They made sure it had that clearance as well as the required clearance from the wall of the house. I’m very pleased with their work.

Home improvements, such as AC are not in my opinion. My existing machine is over 20 years old and should’ve been retired years ago. After they left; I went out in the garage where they had drilled holes in the loft to run the electrical and was disappointed that they had left such a mess. We used Action Air through Costco. If I could go back and start over... First it took two days to complete the job. 2 days weeks apart!! The 2nd tech that came to finish the job had no idea where the first tech left off. He asked us what still had to be done. Huh?? As far as workmanship I would say average. We have the dirty hand prints all over to show it. They brought the furnace unit through the cold air return and left that a mess! I guess no one showed them how to use a box cutter to go around and loosen the paint and caulk around the vent before removingit. Looks like I have some re-do and ceiling painting to do. My wife asked the tech about future service before he left. He laughed and said, good luck....were so booked.. Hopefully its as trouble free as the previous ~25 year old system. ....9/5/21 update...Thank you for your response. So far a manager has not contacted me. In addition to the mess with air return intake vent, the tech also drilled through the wall and put a hole in my pocket door when mounting the thermostat. He also had to mount the thermostat up higher than the original leaving the corner exposed. He had to cover the hole he left when he tried to pull wire down the plaster channel. Easy fix but sloppy work. We also found a can light pushed out below where they were working in the attic. For ~12k I sure expect better.

They had about 3 ft of clearance to squeeze through for two thirds of my mini-split installation on a 100 year old house… from the indoor install to the exterior concealment, I could not be happier for my 3 zone setup.I was worried I was oversold because after all- do we reeeallly need AC in San Diego? Preston Perry was the lead installer of a Daikin heat pump and replacement of visible ductwork overhead. His assistant did the ductwork. Preston seemed well informed and efficient. I asked quite a few questions, to which he responded graciously and clearly.The only answer I did not understand was about wiring that appeared to be part of the thermostat control. It runs from the upper part of the installation and enters the enclosure near the equipment near the bottom of the housing. The wiring is fully exposed. It is low voltage so this may be the usual method of installation, but it seems less professional than the remainder of the installation work. If the exposed wiring is the usual method of installation, I do not object to its appearance. My only reason for questioning was my concern that it might be subject to damage.Preston and his assistant were joined by another worker later. Everyone was careful about cleanup and left the premises in good order. Preston returned three days later, Friday, and installed a safety device that had not been included with the materials delivered the first day. When he finished on Friday, he fully explained the operation of the system that I would need to know.Preston and his assistants represented Action very well. I have not yet received the results of the test performed on May 30, nor the inspection to be done by the City of Oceanside. I expect these inspections to confirm my favorable impression of the work done by Preston and his crew.Later, July 12 : All of the inspections have been done. Two minor corrections were required and done promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend Action for the installation of a furnace replacement.

We called action air again. This time to replace the AC that they installed over 25 years ago that was actually still running, but probably not for much longer so we decided to take advantage of all of the rebates available and get something more efficient. the crews were professional and timely. Justin, the salesman was very good. Kevin, the lead installer, answered all of our questions addressed all concerns, even when we had to make a few modifications. All handled easily And professionally. Very happy with the service, the product and the various rebates we were able to take advantage of! Many of my neighbors have recently used them as well. Would not hesitate to refer!

Jesus saved the day for us! He came out on very short notice a few hours after another a/c company disconnected our gas for no good reason and misled us about our furnace. Jesus checked out the unit, reconnected everything the previous guy broke, and stayed until 7 PM getting things right for us so we would have heat that night. Friendly, honest, and an expert. I will be asking for him personally from now on.

Larry designed the system; Preston, Jesus, and Junior did our initial install and Brandon worked the follow-up. All were professional, polite, considerate of our space and our time. And we are SOOOOO happy with the result. Replaced a 23+ year old central air and gas heat system with a heat pump and all new ducting. Our system has never been this balanced, or quiet, or efficient! I talked to two other companies before Action who were happy to give me a quote but I had to keep asking to get them to even tell us which heat pump and which air handler they intended to install... they werent even listing those things on the contract they wanted me to sign! And Action Air saved us thousands over either of those other two.Ill be calling Action for continuing maintenance on the system as well.As I told Preston, I very much like the feeling of money well spent!

Brandon and Alfonso went to work as soon as they came into our home. Entire furnace, air conditioning, duct system was replaced in 1 day! Special sized vent and intake covers have to be made and will be replaced when completed. Action Air has provided reliable service for our family for 15 years!Another good review for Action Air!! 🤩 Wow. The guys at Action Air Conditioning (Kevin, Connor, & Alan) that worked on our new hybrid heat pump furnace were fantastic! Honestly, EVERYTHING from getting a quote, scheduling work, communication from the office and the techs, punctuality, and pro service in and around the home, was great. 👍 👍 I don’t leave reviews easily and I don’t praise too many, but this is the exception. I would expect anyone else who hired the assistance of these pros, would feel inclined to do the same. I will call Action anytime I need this type of service, but guessing by the quality products and installation, I likely won’t need to! Christian is a well trained technician and a good representative of his company.He came in and was so professional at everything that he did around our residence. He started off with our AC unit making sure all the coils were nice and clean brought in his own equipment and cleaned up every part of the area that he was performing repairs and from there he went into our attic to go ahead and check our heating unit and documented everything that he touched with photos and provided us the standards of both equipment units.My wife and I were definitely impressed with the professionalism, quality and response he gave us he was on time and make sure that he was a good representative of the company.He definitely did the A, B, C and D of of representing his company.
