We appreciate that Action stands behind their work. Our technician German advocated for us during a recent challenging repair, and made sure that it was covered by warranty as it should have been. He also completed the repair as quickly as humanly possible, securing parts that needed special ordering. We have full faith in his workmanship. He is professional and a downright nice guy. Wonderful company for maintaining my furnace/air conditioning units! Technicians always arrive on time, are highly respectful of our property, perform exceptional work (defined as no need, not even once, to rectify any problems - they fix it right the first time). I have a bi-annual maintenance agreement with them to service both my units, and could not be more pleased.I cant recommend this folks enough.

The fan in my AC stopped working and with all the heat I needed it fixed for the Summer. In comes Action Air! The scheduling was easy, I received multiple communications with appointments confirmations, reminders and when they were on the way!German was my service tech and he was a very nice, honest, skilled and professional technician. He talked me through what was going on and what was wrong, my condenser capacitor needed to be replaced, and he already had the part ready to go and fixed it on the spot!The whole AC service was quick and done right. I went through the Poway Costco and Action Air was their installer. They came out promptly and gave an estimate for installation of a Lennox furnace. Their bid was the by far lowest of the three I got helped in part by a Costco rebate. Even without the rebate, their price would have been the lowest. The estimator, Neil, was thorough and very professional. He did not try to sell me anything I didnt need and also identified some ductwork in the attic that needed to be repaired. They scheduled the installation within about a week. It took about a day and they did a great job. There was a minor issue with thermostat wiring which they corrected the next day. The follow up inspection by City of Poway went smoothly. Overall a great experience. I would definitely use them again.

He finished a little over an hour and said I had to pay for 2 hours($500) cuz they do not prorated. So ridiculous and exorbitant. I objected and he called supervisorWho then offered to charge $375 total. (All he did was reattach one duct.) Next time I will do research on pricing

We had Action out this week to install 5 mini splits, and remove our old furnace ducts. The entire process from sales to completion today was first rate. Jose, Madie and Manny were our main crew. Services and quality varied depending upon the worker. Thomas and Caesar were good. The other workers were variable. A one day project took more than a week to complete with them rescheduling at the last minute two times( I hung out for two hours for them to tell me in the last 5 minutes they weren’t going to make it. ) They weren’t always prepared with materials. and I had to remind them about what was agreed upon in the contract. If I hadn’t checked one part would not have been replaced. They completed it but it took diligence on my part. What concerned me more was that they accidentally damaged my closet and then tried to cover it up. They came back out and made the repair doing an okay job with no offer at compensation. The final project was done satisfactorily. Price and quality were more competitive with other installers.

A special thank you to Bethany L. from Action Air & Heating. Her and her crew did an awesome job placing a new AC unit to replace an old worn out heat pump system. They were over the top friendly, and professional. They left the job site cleaner than it was when they got there. I was very impressed by the knowledge and skill set of Bethany and her crew. They went the extra mile and made sure the installation was not just done to the minimum standard, they did serval things in the process to ensure the system looked streamlined, and the components were secured and set up for success, even if it meant it wasnt the easy way. Since our home was 30+ years old, there were some challenges. When our job needed a little more attention, Action sent out a field manager, (David A.), who was able to trouble shoot the remaining issue, and promised to have everything up and running that day, and it was! David was very professional and confident in what he does. I highly recommend Action Air & heating, I was impressed and pleased from the initial quote, all the way through the install process. The experience was fantastic. I found Action at Costco initially, and they were able to come out to give a quote two days later for a heater upgrade, new ducting, and new AC. The crew that did the work was amazing. They were always right on time, very nice, and were very easy to work with. I was working from home and have 4 animals, and they were great about letting me know in advance when they needed to have the backyard gate open or be in certain rooms so I could move the animals around accordingly. We knew we were going to be without heat for a bit during the installation but the crew really tried to minimize that as much as possible, even working late one day to make sure it was running before they left.

First, let me say I had called the installer (Sherlock) of this brand new furnace (6 mos. ago) as it needed a B type vent cap. They quoted $495.00 even though they had just installed the furnace. I was suspicious of the extremely high price and was referred by a fantastic plumbing company to Action Air. Action Air was such a breath of fresh air (pun intended) to speak with. The service manager (Jorden) listened and was quick to respond. They sent Luis to come out and take a look at the heating system and install the vent cap. I called after hours to schedule an appointment for the following day. The answering service told me that if I want to have someone come out after hours it would run 199.00 + repair cost. Toward the end of the conversation I asked him what the fee would be for regular hour service and he told me it was the same 199.00 and that would get credited if I decide to go along with the repair. So I asked him what if the unit only needs Freon, would that be 199.00. He responded, no it would only be what that service fee would be with no further explanation. The installation team was very professional, even the city inspector commented how good a job they did. The product itself has been fantastic! We got multiple mini-split units throughout the house and every one of them performs above expectations, even in our large, open-concept living area.Just make sure to read the fine print for the 0-interest 18 month financing they offer. It is very much designed to maximize the chance that you miss the 18 month deadline, which would end up with you paying 50% more overall. Action Air Conditioning just finished a three day job installing a new furnace and air conditioning units in our 2800 sq. foot home. From beginning to end, this company was professional in all aspects of their work. The Salesperson Bob stopped by the job on the first day and reaffirmed all that needed to be done including a readjustment due to unforeseen ductwork adjustments in our older home thus moving the furnace to the attic. The entire crew arrived early and started on time all three days. At one point, we had a double crew working on our home. I honestly cant say that I even saw them take a lunch break! At the end of the first day they asked if they could leave their supplies in part of our garage for the three day installation which made them get to the work faster on the following days. We already knew we needed a new board which he brought with him, but then he found another issue and needed an additional part. They were upfront with the fact that they charge a minimum service charge in addition to whatever repairs are needed. He stated that he cleaned the wires on the unit outside and it was not a charge and “complementary” since the findings were the unit was perfectly fine. After years of just living with a wood stove for heat, we decided we wanted to invest in a heat pump that would both cool and heat, as we read that was the most energy efficient. Living in the Borrego Desert @ 120 degrees plus means you must rely on your ac.In the 5 years I have been an Action customer they have never let me down, regardless of the fact we are located over a 2 hour drive each way for a service call.Simone and the Service Department went above and beyond yesterday when one of my main units went down, 110 degrees and climbing.After their first Tech struggled for hours unable to determine the problem, Simone redirected another Tech over 50 miles away to help.Arturo Rivera to the rescue. This young guy was amazing. Even though it was closing time after a long day in record breaking heat, he drove in the opposite direction of his home, arriving just shy of 7 pm and jumped into my nightmare with a positive and professional attitude!Under the house, in the house, under the house again, Arturo hammered on this system nonstop and the whole time assuring me hed get it going again.A little past 8 pm he switched the thermo to cool and my 4 ton package unit came alive. Technician arrived on time. He spent some time in the service truck.. I think he was researching the error code. He inspected the furnace and checked the condensate line to make sure it was working. That was all -- the charge was $167. The reason I called for service was because of the error code 225. The furnace was working all right. The next day after the Technician visit, the furnace was not working. It seems to try to heat but there is not much air that passes through the vent. I have a regular maintenance scheduled for 10/11/21. I hope this Technician can get the furnace working. The furnace is 6 years old.

The service man was very polite and knew what he was doing. I now have a new Thermostat. It took me 3 days calling Action Air to get the appointment. The office person had no answers for me and I waited for a return call that finally on day 3 we were able to get an answer. Action Air Conditioning, Heating and SolarI paid $1,577.00 through my contractor to have Action AC move my furnace. They were to simply move it straight up about 8 feet from my garage to my attic. Unfortunately since the move the furnace blows warm air for only a few minutes and then it fails. Also since the furnace was moved, my heat vents have been spewing a lot of dust and bits of insulation into our home.I called Actions service department and asked them to send someone out to fix the furnace. Their response, after two service technicians spent almost 3 hours in my attic, was that they want more than $700.00 in addition to what I have already paid them to fix the furnace. They don’t feel that the move caused the problem. The furnace worked fine before the move, and it doesn’t work after the move. How can it not be their responsibility to fix it?I also complained about the dust and insulation coming out the vents. There was none before the move, but in the process of moving the furnace they must have allowed dirt and insulation to enter the duct work. They say this isn’t their problem either, and if I recall correctly the technician told me that duct cleaning for my 9 ducts would cost more than $400.00. Together that totals over $1,100.00 in addition to what I have already paid to get my furnace working the way it was before they moved it. Worse than that, they told me they really need to replace all the ducts with new ones to solve the dirt problem. That would cost me $2,242.00 more. I feel very ripped off and it seems to be getting worse.I called and asked to speak to the owner of the company, Brian Amodio, because I wanted to try to work things out. It has been a week and so far he has chosen not to call me back. So I called again and asked for Mr. Amodio’s email to try again to explain my dissatisfaction. It has been several more days and I have received no response again.Don’t believe their website where they say: “100% Satisfaction Guarantee” and “Upfront Prices, No Hidden Costs” because this is not what I have experienced.Make your own decision - would you deal with this company?

Install team placed unit on top of a sprinkler. Sprinkler now floods under the block the unit sits on. I can’t get to it to cap or reroute. Asked them to move the unit and was given an appointment. They no showed the appointment and rescheduled 5 days later. So we are now waiting for a manager to come look at the situation. All I want is the unit moved so I can cap the sprinkler or they move the block 6 inches so the sprinkler is not blocked.

We had our A/C unit installed by Action Air. The delivery and install met our every expectation. However, after a period of time a puzzling mechanical problem occured. After a number of attempts to correct the problem the compressor was changed out in its entirely. I was directed to Action Air Conditioning, Heating & Solar through Costco.They responded quickly, gave me a good quote, and arranged financing through PACE.They kept me informed on installation schedule, and performed as expected. The installers arrived on time, the schedule was for a two day installation. I needed a full replacement as my HVAC was 25+ years old.They replaced condenser, heater, fan, all ducts and registers, cut in a new register to correct a badly placed one, and premium filter and thermostat.They re-layed out the ducts to better balance the air flow to correct a room that never stayed cool.They laid down drop clothes to catch debris, and vacuumed after they were done. They took all trash with them and left my property clean.The installation went smoothly, and they informed me on the operation of the system and thermostat.I am happy with the installation and look forward to years of air conditioned comfort.

Technician Samuel G. of ActionAir visited my home in San Diego to perform routine periodic maintenance on the HVAC System installed by ActionAir two years ago. The visit was one of a series provided under an maintenance subscription. He was very thorough in his checking, and explained what he was doing and seeing as he did it. The system is performing very well, and continues to stay clean, thanks to an effective filter and careful installation that avoided leaks. Lennox is the manufacturer. I like that ActionAir is happy to leave the very simple task of filter replacement to me, saving me money compared to what they would have to charge. The scheduling, reminders, and follow-up by the home office was also excellent.

Horrible company. The tech came out to diagnose the problem with our heater. It was supposed to cost $72. He went overtime because he was incompetent. He said we needed a thermocouple. Ok, so he doesnt have the part and calls his comany to see about it. Meanwhile, he charges us $97 because he went over on his time without our permission. I shouldnt have paid it. Then, the company calls us back and says they cant get the part and we need a whole new heater. I didnt trust that answer, so I called out another company who has the part on his truck and fixes it for $75 in 45 minutes. Dont call action air, they just want to sell you on a new unit..In response to your response. The other company we called out knew nothing of the problem. We didnt tell them a thing. He started from scratch, so he did not have an advantage. And you told us you couId not get the part that was needed because it was no longer made and we had to buy a new unit, So,your rebuttal does not hold water. We felt that all you wanted was to sell us a new unit.

Action AC is is excellent; we have been using them for over a decade. German A, our technician today, arrived on time and spent an hour and 1/2 doing a thorough examination of both furnaces. He located a problem and took a video picture of it. Fabulous!
