Terrible Hardware Store! They took a product, specifically Irwin Quikgrip Clamp, that was originally packaged as 2 and sold them individually at a higher price. I only realized this after going to another Ace and seeing them package together and nearly half the price. I should have been suspicious seeing the sharpie 12” written on by hand. Not to mention the store is so disorganized and disgusting. I should have walked out the minute I stepped in. Now I’m stuck with overpriced clamps.

Bought 2 fans and opened one discovered it was garbage and was told no returns on open electronics regardless if they work to your satisfaction. Buyer Beware also extremely sarcastic employee when I called inquiring about the return policy. Stick to Home Depot or Lowe’s

I couldnt bear to live with my wild combination of turquoise and purple wall tiles from the 50s after living in my home 24/7 during the pandemic. Ive been curious about Rustoleum Tub & Tile for the past year and I finally took a chance and decided to put in the work and paint my tiles white. Well, I obviously joined a mass of people doing DIY home renovations because this products in high demand! I couldnt get it on Amazon and when I googled it, Google Shopping listed this location as having it in stock. I called the store and they made me aware that they would be receiving an order in a few days. I left my number for them to contact me when the shipment arrived and like clockwork, they actually called me back! The store has a wonderful variety of goods and its a local business. I really enjoyed shopping there and speaking with the knowledgeable staff. As for my tiles? I think they came out great! 👍

The guy in the store charged me $15 for labor to put a couple of washers and pins on the wheels of my cart. The thing is he didnt ask me if I wanted him to do it or anything, he just started doing it. I just expected to pay for the hardware and leave to do it myself but I thought he was being nice, like the people at autozone who put your windshield wipers on after you buy them. It took all of TWO MINUTES to do. I think what makes me the most upset is that he didnt even stop to think that I could be capable of doing it on my own (I am a petite woman). I put the wheels on the cart myself when I first bought it. Its not hard. Had I known they would pull this stunt I would have gone elsewhere. If they want to earn money from contracting, there should, at the very least, be an ACTUAL contract involved. Or maybe they could try their hand at freelance work instead of retail. SMDH.Edit: 3 weeks later and one of the wheels FALLS OFF, vs the year the wheels lasted when I put them on myself. These guys arent even competent at what they do, SMH.

This is the worst hardware store, I have ever been involved. Trust me I know what Im talking about, cause Im over 40 years engineer & architect. Theyre so incompetent can not even read their receipts, and they have to call their manager many times. In the process, they feel so confident to be condescendingly speaking to each other in Spanish thinking that you wouldnt understand. The issue is they made a set of 2 keys 4 times didnt work. When I asked for a refund, kindly give them the option to purchase something else in the store. She scans the key and says theyre not match the receipt I told her just because they made already the same keys 4 times and didnt work and theyd not give me any new receipts. So she tried to refund just the 1.5$ for the key???? Instead of the whole cost 9.34$. Its not about the amount. The general principle theyre trying to take advantage of the situation to con you. She mentioned after talking to her manager this is the store policy well The California Department of Consumer Affairs will hear the same, and I wonder if they agree with the statement. Dont waste your time, money, and nerves on these people, its not worth it for the time.

Never again. Went out of my way to support this business for my paint project rather than going to a big box store. I had them mix 7 cans of paint and the employee was helpful. He made a recommendation to switch out one of my choices for a different formulation. When I got home, I realized that he hadnt tinted that can (my fault for leaving the store before checking). I brought it back the next day and asked for the proper color. After arguing with me that there was nothing they could do and Id have to wait for the following week to speak to the guy who helped me, I finally got them to hear me that I was willing to pay for the new can with the correct color. While one of the employees was mixing my paint, the other one started yelling at me and telling me that I needed to leave because they were closing. I reminded him of the conversation wed just had and pointed to the guy who was still mixing my paint. He stormed off in a huff. When my paint was done, I brought it to the counter top and looked at the label, only to see that hed mixed the wrong color. I pointed this out, and he accused me of lying and said that Id given them the wrong color name. So...Im done here.

I have to give this location 0 star. Sorry Sam, you could of taken care of a customer but you choose not too.I purchased two items from this location one item was defective and broke before I can use the product. My project is on hold because the store manager will not exchange the defective item for a new replacement.The returns here are non existent. I want to support this small local hardware shop but now I know why the masses shop at home depot or lowes.The items I purchased at Ace hardware was defective and I can not get a replacement or a refund. I will never have this return issue if I spent my hard earn money at home depot or Lowes.Please read all the negative reviews before you support this store.Life lesson learned

Crook place. Placed an online order.Went through successfully. Next day called in to check the part. They said the part was not available, but a similar part was only available instead. They didnt do any apology or ask refund but closed conversation since I said to buy the available item. The available item had different spec so I could not use that. So I called them again to request refund. They said refund would be handled in a different office, and I got its phone number where I called and realized its wrong number. I had to figure out customer service phone number myself to get the refund process get started. What a joke. Never deal with this store.

Amazing little hardware store. They are packed to the ceiling with all sorts of hardware and tools. This is a great place to go if you don’t want to wrangle with the crowds at Home Depot or just need a couple small, commonly used items.

This was my first and last time ordering a item from ace hardware. I place my order so I can pick it up at a store and was informed by a ace hardware employee that my item had arrived and ready for pick up. I go to pick up my item and I’m told that my item was canceled and that I have to call customer service. So the manager at the store didn’t help at all. So I go head and call customer service and I spoke with a agent at didn’t help at all he kept putting me on hold the whole time and when I asked for a manager he said for what. So he puts me on hold for about 30 min only to come back and tell me that the manager was busy and couldn’t take my call. Then he puts me on hold again and my call gets sent back to the system where I’m waiting to speak to a agent again. I was waiting on that line for a long time until I got my other phone and called customer service with it and got a agent right away. So I spoke with agent and she informed me that my item was canceled because the warehouse had run out and didn’t now when they would restock again. But I was told by the other agent that had me on hold the whole time that I can place a new order online and have it shipped to my house if I pay for the shipping. So I asked him if the item was in stock and he said yes it was. Just not for store pick up anymore. So the only way I can get my item is if I pay $20 shipping fee. So I once again I ask the new agent to speak with a manager. She puts me on hold and comes back to tell me that there’s no manager that can take my call at the time. So she gives me a incident report number 4529302 and that a manger will be reviewing my incident and giving a call back. A few hours later I get a call and I wasn’t able to answer the call. She leaves me a voicemail telling that the item was canceled and was out of stock. So I decided that I will not be shopping at Ace Hardware anymore I will not be referring Ace Hardware to anyone. Worst customer service ever they didn’t even try to resolve my issue. I will be posting this online and anywhere it can be seen. Thank you for your help ace hardware customer service and management for the outstanding service.

After waiting 6 weeks for a key fob at the store on Slauson (Maywood), called this store, talked to Ebrer (hope I spelled that right) who was very helpful. He found the fob and told my daughter to come any time they were open and anyone could cut and program it for her. She got right in and out and everyone was so courteous.

This is the place for hardware. They have just about any bolt and nut you could need! Customer service is not great, so you need to know your stuff. Owner is not great and the old guys are moody. They are very knowledgeable, just need some customer service training.

Fabulously old school hardware store... Narrow aisles, floor to ceiling displays, friendly and helpful staff, but not fast moving! Well worth supporting... There arent many of these left.

Great store. A lot of different product. The aisles are quite narrow but for some reason that just made the whole hardware store aesthetic more traditional for me. Everyone was friendly, and there is parking in the back.

It is reassuring and makes me optimistic that this sort of Hardware store EXISTS and probably prospers in 2022-23.Too many businesses and new owners assume that internet commerce is the only way to grow or sustain cash-flow.When it comes to Industrial Supplies and a GREAT selection of hard-goods (and tools) this enterprise is a diamond in the rough.The employees were attentive, knowledgeable and KNEW what their role was in providing specialized hardware and answering basic questions. No Hm-Dpt nor Lowes comes close to providing HARDWARE items like this Brick&-Mortar facility on Sepulvida Bl. I hope that Los Angelinos realize how essential these well inventoried stores in the 21st century.

Iam a Uniformed essential worker. Owner yelling at me, telling me to get out of his store for inquiring to see an item sold in Qty of 20 in a box that could not be opened nor could I touch the item but cashier was wearing one and so was he. I asked if another one was available to show me the inside construction. Owner didnt care about me the customer but wanted to take my money. Dont shop there hes horrible.I visited store after calling. I was not holding up a line, he had one customer at his register, so I believe they wanted to sell the inferior product, not the quality one.

You guys have a good thing going. Mind your words, if you want to limit inquiries from potential customers, create a document, sign, post to refer questions to. For stock inquiries create a sheet they can access via online to automate and or expedite. Refer that to them if you are preoccupied, or its one of those days.Temperance and competence are your advantages, i.e. nuts/bolts/screws selection. You have the biggest SKU inventory in the area.

This is what a hardware store should be like. Extremely knowledgeable staff. HUGE inventory, they have everything. Quality products, ACE always has what you need. If feels like an old fashioned store where they actually cary specialty hardware and tools, and also the staff know what youre talking about / what you need and more than likely they have it.

These guys here are wonderful. The shop is a little cramped but the have literally EVERYTHING! They really saved me when I was looking all over town at the big box stores. They even pulled what I needed and had it ready for me when I got there without me even asking. Thank you!
