A big huge thank you to Victorville Aamco front office Leticia & Fernando for all your help with my car and warranty and my car rental.. you guys got my car fixed and back to me to quickly.. Francisco was a big help explaining to me my car and repairs and leticia thank you for keeping me updated the whole way.. u guy are awesome for giving me a ride to pick up my rental car and dropping it off.. helping me to get my warranty to cover the cost u guys were a very big help.. you saved me so much money ! You have a return customer for life.. i was very pleased to know you have two other locations Pomona and Moreno Valley. AAMCO of Victorville did a great job throughout the entire repair process of my 2006 F250 SuperDuty from inspection and quoting me a price for the rebuild to providing me the specific necessary information to locate a replacement transmission after weighing the costs v. benefits of the rebuild. They allowed for the transmission to be delivered which took longer than I would’ve expected and was appreciative of their communication and understanding in the delayed shipping process w/ out assessing storage fees for the down time and boy do I understand space can be precious, I use this truck to tow my tiny home on wheels and operate my roadside assistance side hustle business from, so I get the “value of an inch”Thank you to the whole team for making my experience of an emergency a non traumatizing experience.

Excellent customer service. Had to have a lot of work done on my vehicle and they were great with communicating with me and had my vehicle done quickly. They programmed my car remote free of charge and gave me a little break with my bill as well. Would highly recommended. Will use them again in the future for any other car concerns.

Had trans rebuild Nov. 5, 2023. Its been back for repairs 5 times since. No accommodations (rental car, price reduction or something). Mgr did start my warranty date over cause I asked for it.I was contacted by someone who claimed they were the owner in the middle of the night. I emailed them and like I was expecting, no reply. Just more reasons for you to take your business elsewhere. Now I have 12 months to take this vehicle back and forth to them for repairs.

Don’t go there.. took my daughter’s car there to get the door clutch fixed came out worse than what it was and they claim it’s not the clutch. taking it to two other transmission shops and both transmission shops will not touch it because they say it’s the dual clutch to. They had it for a day and a half. They said they took it apart and checked it and said it wasn’t the clutch. Dual clutch apart in a day and a half and put it all back together… avoid this Shop at all cost

Took my truck in that has the AAMCO Corporate lifetime warranty on the transmission for a fluid leak. The service writer tells me that its the speed input sensor, but not covered by the warranty, even though they never bothered to call the AAMCO that issued the warranty to verify. 3 days later, Im at my original AAMCO, because there still is fluid leaking, and now have a Trans-fault code, which also put the transmission into safe mode. My shop tells me that they never received any calls from this shop regarding the warranty, and that, yes, the speed input sensor is a warranted item. So after being charged on $160 for something that I should never been charged for I now have to put the truck back into the shop, to find out really leak is coming from and repair it. Couldnt find out it was pan gasket that was leaking not the input sensor, and now Im trying to get my money back for something that I should never been to charged for. I can literally say that its basically just shy of being defrauded.

Horrible experience!!! This place does not even deserve one star. Very poor customer service. Manager Leticia does not know anything. My transmisson that was replaced overheats and gets stuck in first gear. They said nothing is wrong with my transmission. Beware of this place!! Take your money elsewhere!

This place is pretty consistent. The staff is helpful, and Ive even had some techs come out and explain whats going on with my vehicle. They work on German cars, eg bmw Mercedes etc, which has been helpful up here in HD

My families car broke down on a trip. We were 10 hours from home with little options. Within a half hour they had the car towed to be looked at right away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were honest and forward with their care. Jen and Nicole were outstanding and so helpful during our ordeal. The customer service couldnt be any better and the prices were right on par with any of the other guys. AAMCO just got a customer for life.

There had my truck, a 2014 Silverado, for more than 3 weeks. I was called to pick it up, it was ready. I turned the truck over, check engine light still on. I got out to go let the OWNER know, I didnt know that at that time, and when I returned to my truck there was a puddle of transmission fluid underneath. .... issue after issue... parts are on back order.... only 1 transmission builder guy... 20 transmissions ahead of yours....the check engine light came on 13 miles after I picked up the truck, once the leak ( a tear in a seal) was replaced. So now they have it another week or longer. The torque converter is not operating properly dealer sent out a bad torque converter...DONT GO TO VICTORVILLE AAMCO

My husband took our Camry into this location for a knocking sound in the transmission. Hes on the road everyday with this car & safety is out #1 concern. Unfortunately I will not be going back to your AMCO shop on Palmdale Rd in Victorville. I had been taking our vehicles to AMCO for the past few years and thought your shop was great until I needed diagnostic for my transmission on our Ford Flex. I was told I needed transmissions Mounts and motor mounts which totaled over $1000. I took my vehicle to my mechanic and he Informed me that yes I needed the transmission mount but not the motor mount that they were perfectly fine. It was only a $200 repair. I believe your shop was being very dishonest and trying to price gauge. These times are hard enough but with such dishonest people working in your shop you just lost a loyal and a family of 5.

Overall, my experience was excellent. The whole process to diagnose and repair my transmission took a little over two weeks. If I could find fault at all, its that I expected more proactive feedback from AAMCO on the status of my repair. The other nice thing is that AAMCO worked directly with my extended warranty company on my repair, saving me from lots of headaches getting reimbursed for the repair.

My torque converter took out the transmission 3 weeks was a long time due to the fact I don’t live in California. It took them about a week to rebuild the transmission the other 2 was phone tag with the warranty company and mike not doing to much to help. The day I picked up my truck I drove about 300 feet and it wasn’t running right, I found they had took the chip out and left it hanging halfway crooked out of the pcm looking like someone tried to put it back in breaking the contacts. Not sure what they were doing with the pcm. Pretty lucky they didn’t fry it. Mike did make that right. Now we come to this…. On accident I put the truck into second and the overdrive light flashes on the handle, called mike he has no clue tells me to take it to an aamco to get it looked at. So I look and there’s one 3 hours from me the closest one mind you. Called mike back and explain this to him. He says it’s under warranty with aamco and he has to pay the other shop to fix it why can’t he pay the shop in my town to fix it? I have kids and a family I don’t have 2 more weeks of not having a vehicle and I’m not paying for a rental again. You would have thought after $4,500 dollars the thing wouldn’t have issues. THANKS MIKE! I really appreciate that slap in the face.. update I found that the safety neutral switch was not oem when I looked up the numbers on the switch it was eBay or Amazon, I put a oem ford on and my problem went away. Also the rebuild transmission only lasted around 4000 miles, I will never go to aamco again.

AAMCO provided me with excellent service. Not only did they get my vehicle running again but the staff had the patience to diligently deal with the nit picking of my warranty company. My vehicle {white Ford Fusion} literally quit on me while I was traveling on the freeway. it was a dangerous situation to say the least. I decided to take my car to AAMCO in hopes they could get it running again although I was skeptical that it would ever be on the road again. My car was in their shop a month as they dealt with the warranty company, Their persistence paid off in my favor. My Ford Fusion runs smooth and easy like brand new!!!

Wow ! Very surprised and thankful for Bens honesty.Long story short I was under the impression that my starter had went out and Ben stated it was going to cost &498.00 to repair and I had agreed for him to replace it.After the diagnostiC (that I was not charged for) Ben stated it was not the starter and that the engine block was cracked.He is an amazing honest Mechanic who couldve still charged me for the starter repair, but he did not.Nicole, is absolutely an Angel for offering to check for any recalls, and yes there was one and she saved me over $5800.00 in engine repairs.Thanks a bunch AAMCO for you honesty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not say enough great things about AAMCO on Palmdale in Victorville. My transmission went out and they were so helpful every step of the way. Jen kept me updated with what was happening with my car and took the time to actually show me what was wrong. Oscar kept my car even after the transmission was fixed because he found something else wrong - which was fixed for no additional cost- and both he and Jen wanted to make car was in perfect working order before they gave it back to me. You just don’t find service like this anymore. I highly recommend them!

What I love most about this shop is there customer service . Andy called and make sure I was updated about everything that was done to my car. He made sure I understood everything that was going on before I even decided to get the work done. I really recommend anyone to go to them if you are having problems with your transmission. My car left me stranded! I ignored the check engine light for a while and wished I hadnt when my transmission gave out. The gentleman who helped me explained to me what was happening with my car in a way that helped me understand and also feel confident in his ability to get my car fixed right. This was my first time ever having my transmission rebuilt and Mr. Andy that is in the front desk was very helpful ! He walked me through all the steps, told me what exactly what was wrong with my S10 and then explain in DETAIL on how they would fix. When it came down to all the bits and pieces and the cost of everything he broke it all down. Lastly his customer service was GREAT !! He is very kind, he calls you when he says he will call you (you don’t get that most now a days from other companies). Lastly they take of their VETERANS!! Thank you Andy and your team ! Horrible customer service. Tried calling them twice for info on trans oil change. First guy gave me attitude and and got extremely cocky when i had asked about process. Called back to complain about my experience. Second guy did the same then put me on hold immediately after i told him what had happened.Then came back and said what do you expect me to do. Then asked if i needed my trans serviced or not. Saying we work on cars not attitudes. I will never pay good money to be treated like that. Please make them feel it where it hurts $$$ until they learn to treat the customer with respect. They need us more then we need them. Plenty of competition out there.

AAMCO of victorville is a great place to bring your vehicle for all your transmission needs. I brought my vehicle in for a transmission oil change. After my car was inspected, they discovered a few recalls under warranty. Which should be covered by the dealer. Although, this was my first time coming to AAMCO. I really enjoyed Nicole DeMarco professionalism from the moment we arrived. Should the need arise in the future, I will be returning to AAMCO.

Had my car diagnosed, they hooked me up with flexpay so I could do the repairs now and pay same as cash in 90 days, without it I couldnt have fixed my car right now. Rodney was great, honest and his mechanics fixed my car better than before. So I dont understand these bad reviews, my experience with this company was well worth my time and to top it off they diagnosed it at 3 pm on Thursday and I picked it back up fixed with parts and all by 3pm Friday...Thanks Guys for AWESOME customer service, I will definitely recommend this shop to others.

Im very limited on time. Gave a call, set a date and time to take my car in for a check up. Dropped off with no issues. I was told by the end of the day I would hear from them. No call and they were closing soon. I end up calling them to be told they didnt have time to look at my car and that it would have to stay over night. I had no choice with my schedule so I agreed. The next day no one called, so of course I called to find out the car has been ready to pick up and they found no issues. They were closing early that day and I found out so late there was no way I could make it on time to pick up. I have only one other car and two toddlers with my wife that we had to share in between two jobs. Two days of struggling with one car because they failed to communicate! Not only that my car chrome rims were literally covered in thick black stuff. I dont even know how that happened though it took a lot scrub off clean. I gave over the car just recently washed day before. Overall poor communication and not worth your time to deal with.

I posted before giving a good review, because they said you get a discount if you give a review. They WERE professional at the time but after semi fixing the problem, to where my truck was drivable... The truck ended up breaking down again. Still had to pay the cost for the original repairs even though the truck broke down again because it was put on my credit. Do not go here, its just best to buy a new car (even if its just an used car) or do the repairs yourself. The credit company will go for you regardless if the vehicle is fixed or not eventhough they have a supposed warranty. I had a credit agency trying to intimadate me by saying they needed to serve me paperwork and if I was home to sign for this paperwork. The truck doesnt work, they dont keep their word regarding the warranty, and then you get harassed. Please do not go here

This would be my first encounter with Aamco, I was met with a smile and a hand shake from a gentlemen named Andy, I guess he was the manager or something. We spoke about my problem, I found him very knowledgeable, and polite. Andy walked me through a scenario of what I might be dealing with. We shook hands, and I left, a week later I called. Andy answered the phone with a great attitude, and extremely professional. I brought my truck in dropped it off at his request, with in a couple of days he phoned me to give me the news about what I was dealing with. He explained to me that they had to do the work in phases in order to give me the best service possible. I didnt understand it at first but Andys explanation was superb, the entire time my vehicle was in the shop I was well informed of its progress thanks to Andy. When I finally got my vehicle back it ran like a brand new truck, I attribute that to the manager Andy for having great techs working for him. I definitely would recommend Aamco Victorville to anyone who enjoys being treated with the respect they deserve, for they will be taken good care of.

AAMCO Victorville is the BEST! Im a Boy Scout leader from North Carolina. While traveling through California on a cross country road trip our Scout van broke down in Barstow. Worse yet it was on a Saturday, when every transmission shop was closed. The Ford dealer answered their phone, but said they were three weeks out on transmission work and couldnt help us. I called AAMCO and spoke to Andy who apparently had calls forwarded to his cell even though they were closed. Andy promised to move us to the front of the line on Monday morning as soon as he had a mechanic back in the building. Based on that phone call alone I put my complete trust in Andy and had AAA tow our van to Victorville. He updated me on Monday morning with a detailed explanation of what was wrong and how much the repair would cost. I thought the price was very fairBy 4 oclock Tuesday we were back on the road to North Carolina with a newly rebuilt transmission. It runs smoother and quieter than the original.I am exceptionally pleased with the service and professionalism displayed by Andy and his team.We made it safely back across the country with no issues. More than two thousand miles on the new transmission (towing a heavy trailer, over mountains, and through a desert, and literally across the country). Still runs great. Thanks AAMCO Andy!

This place is the most honest mechanic I have dealt with. Once my car was shifting hard and I brought it to him, he had one of his guys drive it around for a while and he also hooked it up on his machine. He told me there was nothing wrong with it and that the type of transmission I have may just shift hard. I never had a problem with it and the car has over 100,000 miles.I then brought my daughters Nissan there and he was there at 6 am. He called a few hours later and told me that the transmission was shot, he had contacted the dealer and it is under warranty. This saved me $3800. If you want an honest mechanic, go to AAMCO on Palmdale.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! My husband just went to AAMCO because our cars transmission is acting very weird. Well when he got there, my husband asked what their pricing was for diagnostics and Andy claimed he wasnt a mechanic but will charge $110 to talk about the issue, which I find very odd. Andy was VERY RUDE and had a VERY POOR attitude. He even told my husband that he (my husband) cant talk to a mechanic because AAMCO mechanics are paid very well to not deal with people like my husband, which I also find odd because my husband was very polite to Andy. I, then called AAMCO to ask over the phone what their prices for diagnostics were and Andy told me its free to plug in the diagnostic tool & that it is $110 to tell you what the code is. So, my husband and I are going to A-1 Transmission & Auto Repair, who only charges about $70 to WORK on the car. Also, we heard from another customer that AAMCO wanted $2,600 for transmission work but discovered A-1 only wanted $1,600 and has been going to A-1 since then. I think Im sticking with local shops, these Franchises and Corporate places are changing now. Ive never had to deal with such awful customer service in my life, especially when I know Im going to be spending more than $500 on some car services.

The dealer said it would be $4500 for a new transmission. AAMCO hooked it up for less than $1,000. Until a few weeks later when I had to go back. $4200 this time for a total of $5200. So now I have a rebuilt transmission with less than half the warranty of the new one. Car is sold now because i refuse to drive it more than a few miles because I’m worried it’s going to fail again.

I have dealt with Aamco in the past and had no problems with the vehicle I had worked on. Every year I took my truck back for a yearly inspection and it always passed with flying colors. Now the have rebuilt my current truck and I am sure I will get the best possible service for that truck also. Andrew was very helpful and informative as to what this truck needed. I called for an estimate, as I cannot drive the vehicle. Was told that I had to bring it in for an estimate. This is the ONLY place that would not give me an estimate over the phone to replace the output shaft seal. I even overlooked their 3 star rating. I guess I should have listened to the reviewers... The guy that answered the phones told me he knows nothing about transmissions, but the he has guys that do, ha ha ha. How can AAMCO have a guy answer the phone at a transmission shop that knows nothing about transmissions? They just lost my business. Too bad for them, because I was willing to drop the vehicle off today.

So my car was making some odd noises when shifting gears, and my check engine light was also on. Figured it was a transmission problem. A family member recommended I go to AAMCO for a free checkup . Waited a day and half to get an answer that I had already figured out with my OBD 2 scanner in five minutes. Told me that for a real diagnostic it was going to be 105. At this point I just wanted to know what the problem with my car was as Ive been having issues for quite some time so I gave them the go ahead. Andy, the guest service rep, told me It would take anywhere from two hours up to two days, which I had no problem with. Now lets fast forward 4 days. I have recieved no call, and no update on the status of my car. Called them and they said it was taking longer than expected but that they would try and have it done by that same day. Fast forward four more days, I have still recieved no call about the status of my car. I was trying as hard as I could to be patient as I knew the problem was electrical and Volkswagens are not easy to work on, but at this point I was completely done. By the seventh day they still said no answer was found yet. Asked to have my car put back together, and Andy the front desk man starts talking about how hes in this business to make money and that no one is going to get paid in this situation. No idea why you would say that to a customer but okay. Also told Andy that I would not have minded the long time frame if he had just kept me UPDATED. Had my trucks transmission repaired. It works way better than before. If reverse didnt still grind i would give 5 stars. Still need to go 1st, 2nd reverse to go into reverse. Total rip off. I took my vehicle in for an over heating problem. They kept my vehicle over a week and never once called me to give me an update on the status. When I would call theyd give me a run around answer and give me a time frame to call back... rather than calling me and keeping me updated. I called, I went in, but I could never get a definitive answer on what the status of my vehicle was. While I was there I watched Rodney the idiot up front BS other customers about how their vehicle needed an emergency rewiring and other things (typical sales bs). One of the times I was in they lost a customers keys. And then when I finally went to pick up my vehicle they charged me $100 more than they quoted me, which I explicitly DID NOT approve of. He gave me the emergency rewiring story I heard him give multiple other people. And then I asked him very directly whether all problems of concern were taken care of. He said yes. I said, so you are telling me when I leave I dont need to be worried about anything going wrong anytime soon, I wont break down or have any other problems? Word for word. He assured me no. I then had him get the mechanic who worked on my vehicle and repeated the question to him. He also assured me it would be just fine. I drove off and broke down completely not 10 miles away with an alternator problem. Im no mechanic and I new it was the alternator; somehow they didnt. So I then waited in the blistering heat on the side of the road and called them to send a tow truck. They said theyd call their tow guy and again TOLD ME TO CALL BACK AND CHECK THE STATUS OF THE TOW TRUCK. Horrible business. Horrible customer service. Then I finally get back, drop it off. Idiot Rodney calls me again the next day trying to sell me more labor at an exorbitant rate. Ridiculous. As if I would pay him more money. They charged me $1000 for nothing. Could not be more furious. DO NOT GO TO AAMCO. DO NOT TRUST RODNEY. SCUM BAG IDIOT. I have never left an online review before and dont really have the time to. It was that bad. I had my transmission rebuilt at the OTHER trans Shop on Hesperia Rd 2yrs ago (the one with yellow cars in front), and it has already failed 3 times. I was down the hill each time! NO BUENO. Those guys told me to pound sand this last time (out of warranty) and I lost $3200.00. (it should never have failed at all after the rebuild!) Hands down the absolute most professional automotive repair facility we have experienced in the High Desert and down the hill. Neil, Mark and the staff at Aamco on Palmdale hit it out of the ballpark. Our 2011 FORD F650 needed a new transmission. While we could have towed it elsewhere down the hill we chose these guys because they have worked on other family vehicles and did an amazing job. Our truck is our livelihood and we needed it fixed fast and correct. Aamco was exactly who we needed. We did have them work with a supplier down the hill who said they had a transmission in stock...that company in Upland lied, they did not. That certified Allison company cost us time and money. Aamco came to the rescue making sure from the start we knew exactly what the steps were, how long the process would take, stayed late to ensure parts were received. Dont go here! They are such a joke, they take your money and make things worse and then overcharge once the vehicle is on the lift. I have a 2023 dart with dual dry clutch, that the clutches fixed, well I was able to drive it in, and a month later, I asked for the status on my car. I had to have the car towed that totaled my transmission . I had victorville motors/ dodge install a new transmission for 6,000$ and the bad thing is that AAMCO DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY. Last Saturday, while down in OC, the transmission on our Honda went out. The van had to be towed and a dealership was the only thing open. On Monday we got an estimate for nearly $9k. We called an Aamco in OC, and after having it a week, we drove it to santa Clarita in preparation for heading home to Wyoming. I would have to say when I called the first time for work I needed done telling them I have the part which is roughly 10 dollars not wanting to be charged their price for a cheaper part they would have picked up I was told one price which would have been reasonable but when I called the second time the price doubled and that is why I would never recommend them for service

My sweetheart took his truck to them for a big job on the transmission and when he got it back it was leaking oil long story short a month went by before they got it right not knowing my honey knows about mechanics he had to tell them what the problem was thats how he got them to fix it...very disappointing 😕

Very bad service, the truth is very expensive and the worst customer service is more expensive than the dealer and does not guarantee their work. I took my Chevy and they charged me 6 thousand for a used transmission without warranty 8 thousand for a new one with a 1 year warranty is absurd your pricesThe truth is that I recommend the dealer better than this place, much cheaper and original spare parts and much more guarantee than this place, very bad service. I went to do a transmission change along with a smog check on my sisters husbands old Explorer, and, after a little more than 3 hours, they did nothing, yes, right on the other side there is a mechanic shop that, although They didnt see it the same day, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO LONGER SPOT, they gave me the second appointment for the next day, they were done well, and the previous budget of just over 450 dollars, with everything included, dropped to almost 315 dollars total, and it turned out well...Its in my notes with photos, first there is a small and alone cart, and from the Explorer, I took the photos of the place...I RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FROM GOOGLE, WHICH AAMCO RESPONDS TO, BUT I CANT SEE IT, I WANT TO SEE THE RESPONSE FROM AAMCO SO I CAN RESPOND TOO, I THINK ITS A GOOD SHOP, I JUST MAY NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR MY BROTHER-IN-LAWS VEHICLE TO BE CHECKED, IF I RETURN TO AAMCO, ONLY I HAVE TO RESPOND TO YOUR NOTE, WELL, I DONT KNOW HOW TO SEE YOUR RESPONSE TO MY NOTE.
