Smog check took 20 minutes tops. Service was affordable as well. The person at the desk was friendly, helpful, and kind! (Side note, parking was a little tricky, but its worth it.)

Dropped it off with just a crack in the first picture and no hole picked it up after passing and saw a new hole and the crack starting to come off (added after reply) I pulled onto it the first time and it was just fine I brought it in the second time offered to put it on again which I was told “o no I got it” but after picking it up I saw they caused damages.
I have used this business before and never had any issues. I come in today and am not thrilled about the service. They have a new process in place and that is great if they explained that to me. I dont mind waiting if they have ppl in front of me. I have a problem with my vehicle ac running and my door just left open while I wait for the person in front of me finish their test. The gentleman asked for my address and I spelled it out for him, and it was still incorrect on my paperwork, not sure what the issue is today.
I do not recommend this place, I took my car here and they told me that the smog does not pass due to a problem with the lights, when I bought the car the seller told me that everything was fine that I could take it to the smog and it would pass without any problem, but in This place did not pass the smog and I went to another and there was no problem with anything, everything went well, this place does not work, not even its staff 👎👎👎
The mechanic was nice and professional very courteous. Unlike other smog places he mentioned he was doing a covid 19 certificate so the price was a very reasonable amount. He was very helpful and answered any questions we had. He also finished very quickly.I would definitely recommend to others.
Great customer service, awesome coupon online so it was cheaper than what other places were offering and David got my smog test faster than anyone I’ve seen so that was awesome! Will leave you on hold indefinitely and just never follow up with you. I was on hold for 20 minutes over hearing small talk the entire time before I gave up and just hung up.Edit: 3/4/21I went in to get my car smogged and paid with my groupon, they guys there were very nice and made the experience really great! They explained the store sales vs groupn sale and even offered me some advice about my transmission. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a really efficient and friendly service.

Wow! What a great place with a great attitude! Whenever, I go anywhere I take notice of how I’m greeted. I was greeted with a smile, and very nice aroma in the building when I walk in. I enjoyed my experience, the customer service agent James was polite, fast, and knowledgeable.
Have brought multiple vehicles here over the years, but I will never bring another vehicle here again since they hired the new guy. Failed me on a visual for tape on a bleeder line and white stuff on my oil pan, neither of which would change emissions at all. Took it next door and passed in 10 minutes. Guy who passed me said this shop will nitpick your car into failing and hes seen it many times this week alone, DO NOT GO HERE, save yourself the trouble and 80$.Edit:Thank you for responding, had you explained the issue rather than sending the desk rep out to point out tape on my bleeder hose and a white spot underneath by the oil pan I would have understood your position better. You did not, I asked you point blank and you turned around and walked into the office without saying a word leaving the desk rep obviously uncomfortable and unable to explain. I went to another shop immediately and it was not epoxy on anything but a slight discoloration and the tape was easily removed as it served no purpose. Thanks for wasting my time and money, I am now passed and will never trouble you for your services again. I would not recommend you to anyone especially after your lame explanation that was not accurate.

I looked these guys up on Yelp. Strolled on by and walked in for a smog. My car was up within about a minute! The attendant was courteous, fast and professional. NOBODY enjoys getting a smog but this was about as good an experience anyone could get. Fair price, great service, lightning fast!
My wife actually found this spot a few years ago when we first moved to Vacaville and we’ve been coming here since. Dave is the most awesome guy on this planet. He treats you like family and is always welcoming. There’s a ton of smog places in town, but the difference here is because of the technician, his work is thorough and tells you upfront if something doesn’t pass. Honest and upfront technician, what more can you ask for.

I needed a smog check today and went there since they were nearby and open on a Saturday. They were able to get me right in and get my smog check done. It failed the first time due to a cracked hose. The owner showed me the problem hose and told me that I just needed to replace it and come back for a second smog check. I went and replaced the hose and went right back. I had to wait a little bit due to the line that was there when I got back. I chatted with the owner while I was waiting and found out that he is a Veteran and that his business supports Veterans. I highly recommend this place. I will be going back.

Like getting ones flu shot, its not like Im going to look forward to ANY smog-check appointment, but at least they got my car in and out quickly while I sat in their small, simple waiting room near a glass door.Not super-easy to locate (first time), but it was my easiest, quickest smog-check in 15 years. Best experience I’ve ever had when I’ve had to do a smog check! I was in and out in 20 min, and the staff (esp the manager sporting the mohawk) was very personable and friendly. I came here for my smog check. Short wait, finished in less than 10 minutes, and there was even a $30 coupon! Theres coffee in the lobby too. Accidentally walked into their competitors office at first, AA Smog is on the left side of the lot, not the center (the other place offered to honour the coupon, but Id already made an appointment with AA). The price is very reasonable even without the coupon.
I took my car in for a smog check and was told I had an exhaust leak near the manifold. Dave Rogers helped me at AA Smog and patiently explained to me the problem. After discussing my options, Dave took me to the Good Guys Tires & Auto to have the exhaust fixed. Thank you Dave for the great customer service. I was concerned that being a woman I would be charged more due to my lack of knowledge of cars. But Dave was great and helped me. He even showed me the problem after the mechanics removed the problem gasket from my car. I recommend AA Smog.

The business hour for this place is a joke. Shows that it opens until 6. I came there at 5:30 and they were already closed. never coming here
The manager David goes above and beyond the call of duty. We have been taking our cars here for at least 4-5 years and every time one of our cars has an issue David is quick to figure out where the issue is, just as a courtesy. Most recently, I got my daughter a Jeep that failed smog and he was able to pinpoint the problems and discover other issues outside of just smog Print-out. Thanks to him we will always bring our cars here.

Ive been bringing my vehicles here since 2009, they have always been fair and honest, and they have always honored their free retest when I didnt pass. They are a test only facility, so they can not diagnose, but they did provide me with the test results so I could take that information to a repair shop.

This is my second time using AA SMOG services for two deffirent vehicles. Each time David has been so helpful and very professional. Hes quick and very positive about your vehicle being able to pass the smog test. And hes always right. I get nervousness before arrive thinking it wont pass. Low and behold, he always tells me it passed. Even though, others tell me it wont. Ill be coming again for my 3rd vehicle to get a smog test. Very disappointed with the Cherry Pit a few weekends ago, on a Sunday. Needed to have my smog done, in order to avoid extra fees from DMV for registering my car. called the Cherry pit specifically to ask about doing smog on a sunday, and told them that I would be right down as they were taking the last car at 3:30.When I got there, the guy told me that oh we dont do smog on sundays. I explained to him that I had just talked to some guy on the phone and told them that I would be right down. He shook his head and said that wasnt possible, and basically dismissed my request.Immediately looked up smog in my area, on Google maps, and found AAA smog. Drove right over there, walked in, the guy had me fill out paperwork, and in the meantime he was getting my car ready to smog period in about 10 minutes I had everything done, paid for, and on my way!I think I found a new smog place!Updated: 4.5.23- still my go to for smog... Dave and Julie are straight shooters and try to get their customers in and out very quickly. Im still patronizing their business!

I have never had to smog a car before, but Rich at AA Smog made it easy. I bought my Jeep out of state so I needed to smog it prior to registering it. He explained the entire process and helped me through what I needed to do. Made everything painless. The shop was clean and organized. I was in and out of there in under 15 minutes. I will be back here when I need another smog and I will recommend this shop to anyone needed a smog.

On 1/7/19, I took my 98 740il for smog test to AA Smog, I was outside and saw the technician David cutting a heat shrink protective cover that was covering the wiring on the engine by the time I stopped him it was too late, he already cut through it. I objected to him and said you do not have a right to cut or do damage to my car and you should have asked me first, he said for me not to tell him how to do his job he has been doing smog for nine years and knows what he is doing and that heat shrink should have not been here.I told him a rat has chewed the wiring insulation cover and it is totally legal, but still you are damaging my car, he brought a sheet of paper and said as an smog person he has a right. I told him do not touch my car and I am going to take it somewhere else and will report you, but looked like he damaged some wires.I took the car to another smog station and during the test engine light came on according to the technician gives code P0325 knock sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction(Bank 1 or single sensor), so car failed. When I looked at the wiring due to cuts from AA Smog technician David, the wiring due to brittleness and being aggravated and disturb, lost its plastic coating and was shorting out.According to the BMW dealer, the intake manifold and whole bunch of thing need to be removed. Total estimate from dealer is $2104.36.I had already checked this car with a Snap-On OBDII reader and there were no cods and everything was good to go.When I emailed the owner he seemed to be concerned in his email; With the information that you had given me, I was able to find what had happened. Than you. :)Please know that as policy, we are required to investigate any potential tampers to wiring systems. This is to include removal of items such as shrink wrap and electrical tape. Being that you said that you had asked our technician to not remove the coating, we should not have continued to do so (or continued to proceed with the smog inspection). I am very happy that you were not charged. I would definitely like to compensate you for both the ignition coil and the coating that we were asked not to touch. We want to ensure that you are happy and well compensated. Please email over the invoice that pertains to any of the ignition coil items and I will send you a check. Sorry for the inconvenience. Talk to you soon.But it was all lies and in court he lied and made a fake investigation report and lied to the judge and fooled the judge (SHAME on the judge) BAR does not give a copy of the complaint to people, it sends it directly to the court.

First, yes, its a smog shop. So its very small and kinda dirty. However, its the fastest smog check Ive ever had. I literally handed them the keys and was driving away in less than 10 minutes. Plus, they had a Groupon so it was pretty cheap.

Actually opened the renewal for my truck & realized smog was due this year...Thought Id check if any places were open later so I wouldnt have to waste my lunch or take time off....to my surprise AA Smog is open until 6:30 and theyll smog certain year vehicles until 6:20pm. That won me over right there...even better when I got there it almost took me longer to fill out the form than the test. Im a happy camper. AA Smog on Monte Vista in Vacaville is a good place yall.

Tried this shop on 3 separate occasions on 2 different cars. Got an excuse they couldn’t smog my car. First time was a 98 Honda, they said couldn’t because issues with machine. Came back 2 weeks later, same car, same inability. Okay few months later, different car 89 Honda. This time, they don’t do smog cars older than 1990. I guess? What’s the difference in emissions between 1989 and 1990. I’m guessing not much. They seem friendly enough, but I tried to smog with them, but sent away each time. I don’t know.

Had gotten a smog check and got failed for a pvc hose missing and had a so called evap leak. Took it to get it check out and tested like he suggested. Spent 120 dollars for nothing because they smog guy couldn’t find the hose to begin with. Never had a missing hose after all. Worst smog place ever. Don’t go here

2023-08-29 16:58:32Hassle-free, super quick (no one was in line or waiting when I went), and very courteous SMOG check place.Julie did the check, and was super efficient.Ask about their coupon, they happily accept, costs you $48-49 out the door for SMOG check.They are first come, first serve so calling in to check before going might help.They notified the DMV immediately so I was able to do the vehicle registration the following day, online, absolutely easy.Highly recommended.
