The owner of A1A garage services, Colin Thomas, went above and beyond to help me with my broken garage door. My door had collapsed and we could not get in or out of my garage. I hired Colin to replace my broken door with a new one, but the new door could not be delivered for four weeks. Over a FaceTime call, Colin figured out how he could temporarily fix my broken door until the new one arrived. For the very reasonable cost of a service visit Colin replaced the springs that help lift the door, installed a new opener, added steel struts to three of my garage door panels so they would not crumple while being pulled open, and remounted my railings which were detaching from the wall. Now we have access to our garage again while we wait for delivery of the new door which will be the permanent fix. Colin’s fee is reasonable and he solved all my problems quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him in the future.

Let me just say how impressed I was by the excellent service and quality of work by Mr.Colin T.So My garage door lift system broke last week and I was looking for someone to come fix it. I was preparing myself for the hassle that sometimes comes with getting anything which unexpectedly broke around the house repaired.I went on yelp because I love to support local and small businesses, to my surprise I found Mr. Thomas business.This young man was professional upfront and honest with his pricing and availability. He was on time and very efficient. He replaced the whole thing and cleaned up and left in 1 and 1/2 hours. Plus he even did extras like replacing the rubber cushioning for the entire garage door, programmed the openers, showed me how they worked and aligned my doors so it sits evenly along the bottom.Plus I love that he wasnt afraid or ashamed about his Christian faith, that matters to me. Happy that I found a Quality tradesmen in my community.

Our old garage door controller started working intermittently. I spoke to Colin when I was getting quotes, and then finally decided on A1A because of their competitive rates for the type of controller features that I wanted.Colin was extremely professional. He arrived on time and the work was done in the time frame that he stated. He replaced the controller with a new one that works with an app, and he installed a keypad. Colin at A1A came to service my garage door opener because sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. When explained it to him on the phone he gave a great explanation for why it might be happening. Colin came out and it turns out that the issue was the spring on my garage door. Colin diagnosed it right away and then expertly came out and replaced the necessary parts and installed new rollers. The entire system is operating better than it ever has even from when I first moved into the house! It is now reasonably quiet and it has never before been this smooth. Colin is the best! My garage door stopped working due to a broken spring in the lift system and I couldnt take my car out of the garage. I was able to make a reservation on his website the very next day. He showed up on time, and even called me a little before with an eta. He is very nice, polite, and friendly. He came well prepared, all the parts needed to do the job were in his (very well maintained!) truck. He was thorough, efficient, and quick. The work area was neat and clean, he didnt leave any mess behind. The price was quite reasonable too, and he didnt try to upsell anything. Last night, one of the springs broke on our two door garage. When I submitted a request for price estimates, Colin at A1A Garage Door Service was the first of three companies to respond. Colin was prompt, professional, knowledgable, and very helpful. I called him because one of the tension springs broke. He replaced both springs with stronger ones at the lowest price from several quotes. Then he noticed an old and not so professional repair job was failing and he went and picked up a metal support beam and attached it along the width of the door to provide adequate strength. He advised me that the support bar projected into the garage a little bit more (less than 1!) so be mindful where I park the car (I wouldnt have noticed otherwise so...danger averted) . He lubed the joints and adjusted how fast the door went down so it closes more gently and quietly. Then he went above and beyond, by helping me get my lawn mower back together before his next job. Actually working time on site was about 30-40 minutes. Great guy. I highly recommend A1A Garage Door S & I.
