I’ve never had such a bad experience at a shoe store before. I went in and waited for about 15 minutes and nobody even acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. A couple came in after me and a sales rep IMMEDIATELY asked if they needed help. Maybe it was racial profiling but I felt very disrespected. I expected higher quality service seeing how high the reviews were for this store, but probably the worst shoe buying experience. Go to fleet feet or road runner instead. I don’t recommend coming here if you are Asian.

I received a pair of features socks as a gift during Christmas, and I fall in love with them. They are thick and very supportive when I was playing active sports (golf and badminton). I did not realize how important a good pair of sock are until I started to wear them. I was told that I can get these socks in A Snails Pace, so I decided to come by. I picked up 2 pairs of socks, and slowly switch them out with my old socks. Staff were friendly and helpful! Service was great. I will come back and support local business for sure.

Edit: I went back and had a much better experience. Thank you David for helping me find the right fit and giving me helpful information.First time going to this running store. I went on a Sunday and it was busy. It took over and hour to get assistance. Once they helped me, it felt rushed as they were trying to attend to multiple customers at a time. I may need to go back when it’s less busy.

David was the nicest, most helpful person ever! He was so knowledgable about shoes, and he helped me figure out what I wanted. I was able to get fitted and try running on a treadmill with different kinds of shoes. I cant recommend this place enough!

A few months ago, I was looking to purchase a pair of Hoka Bondi SR’s to use for work purposes. I had heard that they provided great cushion, and several people who worked in the same hospital where I worked were using them. I was having pain in my feet after being on my feet for hours at a time. I also had a previous knee injury which had caused me a lot of pain issues. I was glad to see A Snail’s Pace in Monrovia had my size in stock when I did an online search. When I got to the store, an associate helped me by taking 3D measurements of my feet and gait. I learned I have flat feet and narrow heels, which I did not know beforehand. They were able to recommend some Cadence EX+MP insoles for me to use with the Hoka’s. I had noticeably more cushion and support when I tried them on. I also felt like my legs and back were better aligned. They were not cheap, but I am so glad I made the purchase and am extremely grateful for the customer service I received. After getting use to them over several weeks, I am no longer experiencing foot/leg/hip pain like I used to. It really is amazing.

What a great shop! Jacob was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He brought out several different styles and sizes. He was very patient as I tried out everything. I was impressed with the selection of running and trail shoes. They have everything. I used to go the New Balance store but not anymore. I will now buy my shoes here. Thanks Jacob!

Talk about feeling unwelcome. The employees obviously saw us enter and didn’t even acknowledge us until we went up to the front counter to ask for help. You could sense that the guy that helped us didn’t even care. You could see the difference in treatment to other customers. The only POC employee we interacted with was the kindest. I will not be returning. Be aware.

This is my third visit here for family members in need of fittings.My boyfriend needed a pair of runners after years of wearing improper footwear. Lauren was soo incredible at fitting him! The first pair she brought out was a perfect match! She brought a few other brands just for comparison and even was kind enough to bring out multiple colors for him to look at.Laurens advice and expertise helped him narrow down even the toughest of choices (which color to choose!) 😂She also chatted with me about new options/styles for myself. Will absolutely be back for any footwear needs! Thank you Lauren!
