AC & R Construction has the most professional contractors/employees I have ever worked with. I needed to remodel my shower due to a water intrusion. Shawn did a great job of explaining the process to me and showing me previous work that his company had completed as well as the companys certifications. He was professional and responsive. Flourice assisted me in finding the tile I wanted and was able to answer all of my questions on that topic. Steve meticulously spent time evaluating the design I picked and ensuring that the shower was built exactly as I wanted it. Steve and his team of contractors worked hard to meet a deadline and completed the job on time, as requested. I would definitely hire this company again because I had such a great experience. Every employee I encountered was professional. They also did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and being timely according to the preplanned schedule. Two thumbs up!

Thanks so much to the day-to-day construction crew, Edwin and Danny, for their tremendous effort involving extensive electrical and plumbing upgrades throughout the home. I was impressed by how versatile they were in all aspects of the project and by how diligent they were in asking us to sure everything was completed to our liking -- even down to how far apart wed prefer the can lights to be. We also appreciated how they kept our home clean during their time here and cleaned up after each days work. I would not hesitate to call Robert and his team again for another house project in the future.

I couldn’t be happier with the project completed and quality service performed by AC&R. The project was to install a slim dishwasher into an existing “vintage” cabinet, and also installing a new garbage disposal unit. The job required cutting open a hole at the appropriate size in our existing cabinet, and routing and modifying our plumbing and electrical circuits to accommodate the new dishwasher and garbage disposal unit.Initially, Robert, the company owner, came to take some measurements and wrote up an estimate at a good, fair price for the quality work they were going to perform the same day I called, it was impressive their expeditious arrival. Robert was good at clearly explaining the estimate and work that will be performed and explained there may be some additional unanticipated work that is necessary as the project moves along. I appreciated Roberts honesty and integrity while explaining the estimate.Gilbert, the construction manager, arrived a couple days later to begin take measurements and making a materials list for the project planning and to troubleshoot any unplanned surprises. He was even kind enough to pick up some parts I forgot to order at a local home depot for me that was needed for the project. Gilbert was very informative and honest when making his initial plan to move ahead with the projectDavid arrived later that same week and performed the construction and modification our old cabinet, and completed the plumbing and electrical work for the installation of the dishwasher and garbage disposal unit. Quality work I must say! It was a two-day project. David had a coworker help him the next day and again they did a quality job in an efficient amount of time. David cleaned up well after he was done. I am very happy with the project AC&R completed, I highly recommend them to anyone that is planning home project, big or small. I will be referring AC&R to all my family and friends and will definitely be contacting them for my future home projects.

I contracted with AC&R for two bathroom remodels and they have delivered with excellent work and could not be happier with the outcome. All the staff has been tremendous in assisting and guiding us through all the nuances of a bathroom remodel as first-time homeowners. Communication with AC&R was above and beyond as they always answered my questions or request within a day of sending a message to them. We threw a lot of curve balls and changes in our vision and they handled every scenario with a solution that let us get what we wanted.Working with Steve as our project manager was great! he ensured that our bathrooms were on schedule and accommodated to any request that we needed to match our schedule. He had the expertise of what the industry standard was and supplied impactful information to help us make the right decision for our bathrooms.Florice was amazing with assisting us with the designs of our vanity. We made many changes and she worked weekends to ensure our build was on schedule and provided us with multiple designs to help make our final decision so we may see it from different views.The list goes on with Shawn and Taylor who helped with choosing and supplying the product which shows the culture in this company that they care about what the customer wants and wants to make sure they get what they envision.I highly recommend them for any renovations needs you may have as they will deliver!

I had my guest bathroom remodeled with AC&R in September-October 2023. Shawn Sullivan was my estimator and Steve Garcia was my project manager. Both of them were thorough and communicative throughout the process. I appreciate that Steve gave me updates regularly and he explained what and why something had to be done. AC&R helped us repair and replace damaged flooring, as well as create a new pony wall for our bathroom. It was a fantastic experience working with them all the way! Shawn initially came out to give us the estimate; then Robert was the lead who oversaw each days plans. The entire time, they were busy with other projects; however, Robert always knew the intricate details of our space whenever I had questions. He kept constant communication with me, even after typical office hours he would still be working hard! He would always show up to discuss what was going to happen that day, outline it with his crew, and then give me a timeline for when it would get done - with clear pricing estimates as well.His team was always on time, super professional, and ensured an immaculate set-up and clean-up every single day. I want to give a shout out to the crew that came out too, because every single guy did such a great job: Alfredo and Kevin removed our linoleum, Rogelio worked on our pony wall, Nestor and Jelwer put in the tile.We would not hesitate to use AC&R again for future remodels. A.C& R Construction completely renovated our master bathroom. The tub was removed and replaced with a beautiful custom acrylic floor to ceiling shower and custom shower doors, new flooring, sink and custom cabinet with custom top.We have an older home with plaster walls. The tub and original shower tile had to be demoed. The crews carefully blocked of this part of the home and used an air filtration system to keep the dust to a minimum. All hardwood flooring leading to the construction was carefully protected during construction.I particularly want to commend Steve Garcia, the Production Manager/Forman for his scheduling, daily job planning and supervision of his crew. Steve was always courteous, the job was completed on time with high quality workmanship.

We recently hired AC&R construction to remodel our kitchen including removal of a few walls and gas/electrical work.Robert and his crew were a pleasure to work with from estimate to final payment. Their set up and tear down was quick and clean, and their work did not leave any dust or residue.They were fast, efficient, and courteous. Pricing was also very reasonable. This review is a little overdue. We had the work done over the summer 2020. I am always skeptical about hiring contractors because of the many horror stories you hear in dealings with them. I have to say that AC&R was awesome, and I highly recommend them. Our project started with Chuck. We had an appointment with him coming to our house. We went over our vision for a new kitchen, 2 bathrooms, flooring in the entire house, canned lighting in the kitchen, dining room, living room and refacing the fireplace. I enjoyed his many stories and tales. Then we met Robert, the owner. He was a pleasure to work with and it shows with his excitement in creating our vision in getting us to the finished product. One thing that we liked was AC&R has their own employees. We were scheduled to begin last March then Covid started. We were uncomfortable having people in our house at the beginning of Covid. They said, “No Problem” and to let them know when we were ready. We were ready in June as we were anxious to get going. There is a team at AC&R to always keep things moving. We met Kimberley at the showroom to pick out materials for our projects. The Production Manager/Foreman, Steve Garcia, is Robert’s right-hand man and keeps everything running smoothly. Steve kept me updated daily of what was going to be worked on and which workers were going to be there the next day. It was a pleasure working with Steve on this project and I enjoyed talking to him daily. He would listen to my concerns and my many ideas I had throughout the entire project and would make adjustments as necessary. He would also make suggestions which I valued. Steve was very accommodating when I wanted to take a last-minute vacation for a week during the construction time. The entire project was quoted taking 5 to 6 weeks and that is where it landed plus an additional week for our vacation. In the end we are incredibly happy with the look of our “New” house. I do not think we could have asked for a better contractor to make our vision come true.

Robert and his team did an amazing job on our small master bathroom remodel. He and his crew turned a dated 1960s bathroom into a modern spa like room. I was amazed how his workers made sure before leaving each day to clean up the room to the best of their ability. There were a couple of minor hiccups however Robert quickly took action to resolve the issues to our satisfaction. Robert made a promise to have the bathroom completed before an out of town guest arrived and he kept that promise. I would definitely use AC&R Construction again for any future remodels or home repairs.

We hired A. C. & R to install three bath exhaust fans and a bath vanity and to patch some drywall. They gave us a very reasonable quote. The two crew members did an excellent job on all the items. They laid tarp down everywhere they worked and where they walked and did such a good job cleaning up, you would not have known any work had been done. I give A. C. & R my highest recommendation.

After shopping around for a great balance between customer service and fair pricing, I finally landed on AC&R Construction to remodel 2 of my bathrooms. I was nervous on how my first home remodel experience would go but throughout the remodel, Steve and team made me feel confident they would do a professional job and my 100% satisfaction was the goal. They were able to work with my schedule and provide almost daily support, making progress in a short amount of time. Their online portal was extremely helpful with constant updates and daily progress photos uploaded. They were able to ensure the job was completed in the quoted time and were honest about any challenges they foresaw upfront. All in all, they did a terrific job, maintained cleanliness and almost 3 weeks later, I am still happy with the product.

Gilbert and his man Alfredo did great work remodeling my spiral staircase in my Whittier home built in 1933. I tore out the carpet covering the stairs after I moved in to find a damaged mess. Gilbert and Alfredo put in brand new oak stairs with staggering tile and plywood risers. It is meticulous and quality work. I will be using AC&R for future home projects and would recommend them to friends and family. In addition to their hard work, I appreciated their timeliness and consistent communication. Gilbert answers his phone right away and I felt I could trust him and his employee in my home alone while I was at work. 5 stars, thank you!

Here is a before and after of our remodel by AC&R My husband and I where discouraged at first when we received a few quotes for our small kitchen, some contractors quoting outrageous prices for refacing the cabinets and new counter tops with new tile backsplash. But we found AC&R - Robert the owner came out and his proposal was very reasonable. His office staff was very friendly and easy to work with, Steve our project manager kept us well informed and kudos to all the hard workers. We are very satisfied with the quality of work and professionalism this company delivers. If we could we would give them more stars without hesitation.

After going through some consultations, both by word-of-mouth and from Lowes and Home Depot, I decided to try yelp. We were genuinely surprised by AC & R, for remodeling the kitchen, 1 bathroom, and flooring. Since the job involved some demo and relocating electrical outlets, we needed a general contractor and not individual contractors. First, we decided to move up finishing date to 4 days earlier and the crew still finished early. We liked that AC & R has 2 show rooms and materials for us to pick from. The staff are always professional and very sweet, taking their time to help us and never tried to sell us anything. They even went out of their way to pick out materials that are not made in China for us. Many of the materials are of quality and better priced than either Lowes or Home Depot (which are mostly made in China). Robert was willing to work with our budget and time constraint, and even helped us pick out the items to make the final products appealing. He also tried to save us money by telling us to get things on our own, and was patient in explaining how things worked and what to choose from. The crew was honest, professional, and kept the work areas clean. They never leave the house in a mess at the end of each day, and always consulted us about how we liked things to appear and be done. If ever there is an issue, Robert will take care of it.

We are extremely happy with our new bathrooms. We selected AC&R for two bathroom remodels based on their responsiveness and willingness to implement our design. We are very pleased with the outcome and our overall experience with AC&R. In the beginning, Shawn and Taylor helped with our product selections, refining the details of our design without trying to sell us their own “cookie-cutter” solution. From the beginning, communication was outstanding. Emails and text responses were always prompt. During construction, Steve was an exceptional project manager, actually managing the project (rather than just showing up to collect the payments!). Every staff member was competent, friendly and a pleasure to work with. Javier and his team are superior carpenters. I think the best thing about working with AC&R was that every day the crew would show up when they were expected, and they knew exactly what they were doing without any supervision from us. If there was a problem, Steve was on it – we didn’t have to do the quality inspections ourselves! And of course, we love our new bathrooms – they are so, so beautiful.We have zero reservations about using them for future projects, and highly recommend their services.

From the beginning of this project to the end, this shower remodel was perfect. I had been doing some extensive remodeling and i had been dealing with several contractors to get a quote. Some of the quotes to remodel a small shower were unbelievably high. I could have literally remodeled 2 bathrooms for what one company wanted to charge. When Shawn from A.C.&R came out I knew right away he knew what he was doing. He designed a new shower and the price was unbeatable. The project started on time with Steve and his guys doing a fantastic job. They were clean, neat and super courteous. Steve came out almost every day of the project to make sure we were happy with it and that the work was completed. Again, the shower came out beautiful and was exactly what we wanted at a really fair price.This is a top rated company with real professionals. This was my second remodel project with AC&R. The first was my bathroom but they just completed my kitchen remodel. My wife and I are so happy with the remodel. The entire project took a little over 3 weeks from start to finish. The crews are great, trustworthy, clean. I was surprised by how smooth the project went. I was super stressed in the beginning because I feel I need to see everything, but I learned to just trust the process. They know what they are doing and they will not cut corners. The team went above and beyond to meet my expectations. Although everyone was great I would like to acknowledge a few people. Thank you to Shawn from the design team for the vision and ideas. Thank you to Javier and Angel for constructing and installing the custom cabinets. I’m super impressed by how precise the cabinets are in relation to the appliances. No gaps, clean lines. They matched my existing crown molding and tied it into the new cabinets, great attention to detail. Thank you to Brian for the paint and drywall repair and texturing. Thank you to Steve for overseeing the project. I feel like he knows me now after the bathroom remodel so he was beating me to the punch if a had a concern. He was always available for questions and he kept us updated on the progress. And lastly thank you to Robert for running a great company. Absolutely thrilled with the somewhat small remodel completed by AC&R. From start to finish, they exhibited professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail. This is the second remodel they have completed for me in the last year. Both were 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment units that I own. The first was done in 2023 and had to call them for the second that was just completed in April of 2024. The bathroom shower, bathroom vanity, kitchen counter and backsplash, and new doors were installed not only beautiful but also meticulously crafted. Communication with Florice and Steve throughout the project was excellent, and they finished within the promised timeframe. After sustaining water damage to the majority of my home I was just in desperate need of a contractor. I was drawn to AC&R because of the amazing reviews I found on yelp. I requested an online consultation and was immediately contacted by Robert. Even before we began discussing the scope of work he thanked me for considering his business. We set up a date to see the project and he discusses the process with me in its entirety. This meeting was followed up by second meeting at his showroom where I was able to select the materials for my project. I found this to be very helpful instead of having to select out of pictures or go to multiple stores to find what I needed. He had great selection and I was happy with my choice. Because of the major water damage to my home I was forced to live in a hotel for a few weeks which I was already growing tired of. I spoke about my concerns to Robert and we were able to work on a timeline that was beneficial for both of us. I think me more than him to be honest. Throughout the construction phase there was great communication! I was even set up with a website where I was able to check the progress. Overall the company did an amazing job at restoring my home. I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend AC&R!

Robert came highly recommended by a friend whom I trust. This was important to me as the condo needing repairs is in CA & I live in TX. Our tenant took way too long to let us know about a leaking dishwasher that wrecked our wood floors and the subfloor. We werent sure how much damage there was going to be until the wood floor was removed. It was quite extensive and Robert and his crew quickly assessed the damage & came up with a long term solution of replacing the flooring and adding additional bracing from underneath as it wasnt properly supported before. They finished the job quickly. This was hard to do from far away as far as picking out flooring that would compliment the remaining flooring and overseeing some aesthetic components in person. Most people who hire Robert would be on site & not half a country away so those were our challenges. I would recommend him. Kristy & Andy

A C & R recently did work on my ceiling, drywalls, and flooring after I had water damage due to the rains.From the time that that Robert came by to give me an estimate, I could tell he was very knowledgeable about everything he was talking about, and he was very thorough explaining to me the details of the work that I needed.I was under a tight schedule, and his crew were able to accomodate this perfectly. They were here soon after all the paperwork was finished, and finished the job within the time frame I needed.The quality of their work was also excellent. AC & R helped me with my new condo renovation last year. We did a full renovation. The experience was great. They kept the construction site clean every day they finished. Good skills, nice work.Very poor planning and coordination. Started on time (6/5). Ended 12 weeks later (8/31) for the six week job. I should have seen this coming when they posted photos of my as is bathroom on their collaboration website.Not my bathroom! Fixed that. Measured all dimensions of the work area. In the showroom they let us select and contract for the shower door. Door contractor measured for the door on 6/15 and did not know until 5 days later 6/20) that our selected door would not meet code. New door ordered on 21st, installed on 6/28. On 6/29 the countertop fab guys came to get my slab. They measured it, as did the project manager and the job estimator previously. Vanity finally installed on the 7/8. Now we learn the slab is not deep enough for a 45 degree miter. We said no miter and it will work. They redo the wood top of the vanity.On 8/17 the fabricated counter top with two sinks arrives. Not my slab! Not close. Back to the shop. The correct one is installed on 8/18. On 8/24 tiler arrives to install backsplash. This is the last task. Were are excited --- until he runs out of tile. Over the past 16 months, A C & R has performed two projects in our house in Diamond Bar. Robert is very friendly, easy to work with, and fair. We have been very happy with the repairs that he has done in our house for the water damage in our living room and kitchen. His workers were very polite and did a very clean job. Gilbert and his crew made a stressful job of converting our pool house into a granny flat almost enjoyable. From the floor to the ceiling everything turned out perfectly. The work was top notch. I appreciated that his crew arrived on time and did not take any unscheduled absences. The whole crew was very respectful. I noticed that the crew seemed to enjoy Gilbert, the boss, laughing with him and sharing lunch with him, but there was also a deep respect for him from all of his crew. When problems arose, I would worry, but Gilbert always said that no problem could not be solved. He was easygoing and that helped me to relax. Daniel was someone who could answer any questions I had when Gilbert was not on site. He spent many a late night working to keep the job on time. I appreciated that they cleaned up on a daily basis, making it safe for the little ones on the property. I feel like his rates were fair and I would recommend him for any job. In fact, my family has recommended him many times already. He also came immediately when I recently called with a flooding problem in the main house. I am very thankful that found AC&R Construction and Gilbert.

We initially want to remodel multiple bathrooms and powder room. But, it will take too long to complete everything. So, we decided to just remodel the downstairs bathroom(convert existing bathtub to shower) and powder room. We have recently completed this phase of remodeling. We are very happy with what AC&R have done. Special thanks to Steve and his team. AC&R not just do a great job. Their crew members are very nice and professional. I really enjoyed working with them. I called on Robert over a year ago to install my showers. He provided excellent service then and again today when I needed my whole house Re-wired to install hardwired smoke detectors. He even finished the job 4 days before his initial date. His crew was fast and efficient. We had AC&R repaint/resurface our kitchen cabinets and install a new sink and faucet. The work they did was good and they returned several times to touch up areas that needed it. However, their plumbing service was less than desirable. They had to return for one reason or another to fix the faucet installation. When Robert returned the last time to once again repair the faucet installation I was shocked that he brought heavy nuts and was going to affix them to my faucet line to add weight. We had words about the workmanship (I was pretty steamed and Robert had excuses. We both got angry). I have not seen him since even though he said he would order the correct part and return. I would recommend this company for work with the exception of plumbing.

We initially met with, Owner Robert Salas to review kitchen layout redesign that included wall modification. Robert came prepared with a copy of his license and insurance certificate. His evaluation of this project was thorough and quality with no short cuts that may cause issues with structural support integrity. He promised quality and project involvement at our first meeting.His expectations from his team and equal to his own high standards. We had already selected someone else to do the the cabinetry; but, had not finalized commitment. Robert asked if he could provide a bid for other cabinetry. His team, in the meantime, immediately started construction on the wall redesign. After we saw the quality of their work, professionalism and respect for our property we were sold and the project grew to not only the kitchen cabinetry; but, wet bar and bathroom remodel. They also did electrical (including re-routing electrical, adding outlets and additional circuits), plumbing (including redirecting water lines), fabrication and installation of quartzite for the kitchen, wet bar and bathroom. Roberts team also replaced and textured new drywall. As this was our first time doing any renovations, we got 4-5 bids for our kitchen, master bath, and powder room remodel. Some contractors came back with outrageous prices, and some suspiciously low. Roberts estimate was very fair. Aside from looking at the bid prices, what really helped us decide was Roberts knowledge when he came out to quote the project. He asked questions and made us aware of details that other contractors completely missed. Steve was our project manager, and Im so glad he was. We had hit a few speed bumps along the road, but Steves quick responses really made the whole project run as smooth as any project could. From the kitchen backsplash tiling to the bathrooms full remodel, the crew really shocked us as to the attention to detail they had. I recently had a minor flood in my house (washing machine drain backed up) which caused my luxury vinyl planks (LVP) to warp thus requiring us to change out our flooring. Since the entire house had continuous flooring, it all had to be replaced. I worked with our insurance (kudos to AAA) and came to a final settlement. At that point, it was up to me to either use the general contractor who did the estimate or find my own - my choice. I got 3 additional estimates beside the AAA contractor and decided to go with AC&R. I have used about a dozen contractors over the past 2 decades remodeling my homes and fixers that I purchased. This is by far the best contractor I have dealt with.The scope of my project included replacing the flooring, installing & uninstalling a commercial refrig/freezer, dual fuel range, washer/dryer, bathroom vanity, cabinetry, and baseboards.Why did I pick AC&R. I chose them for several reasons - they are licensed in general contracting, flooring, electrical, and plumbing. This is actually very rare as most are GCs who sub out work and thus you, the consumer, pay extra. Another reason was they were a long-term company in my local area - the company is based in my city and the owner lives in the adjoining city for over 30 years!. And lastly, when they came out to do the estimate, they brought their project manager, Gilbert (looks like Elvis!) who was going to be the day-to-day manager overseeing the project.Next I will say, I am a bit OCD when it comes to remodeling. I create spreadsheets comparing estimates, list pros/cons, etc. before I make a decision. I have also acted as the GC on other projects which I hire each person individually - that is truly a pain in the a**. I used the mantra of one throat to choke when making the final decision. I like that AC&R did it all, so no one could blame someone else for something. As a mother, I know it is always someone elses fault.Robert (Owner) and Gilbert (Project Manager) told me it would take about 2-3 weeks to complete the project and it did. No excuses. They worked Monday thru Saturday for 3 weeks (total of 15 full days and 2 half days) to complete the job. Their crew was on time, clean, and respectful of my property - a nice change from other contractors. One difference that I noted is most contractors work from about 7a-4p, AC&R work from about 9a-6p - no problem, just different and I got to sleep in.Gilbert was my point of contact for everything. He showed up almost every morning to review how things we going and on those days when it wasnt really necessary, he kept in touch with me via phone or text. And, when I needed to reach him on a Sunday to follow-up on an issue - HE ANSWERED THE PHONE!Besides the qualify of the work being excellent, they are very professional. They are a real company with office workers, employees, insurance, workers comp, etc. I needed a certificate of completion for insurance and no problem, I had it the next day.Lastly, part of being a real company is that they have sufficient cash flow to allow them to pay their employees and accept appropriate progress payments. For those that dont what I mean, I have had contractors ask me for advance payments on work because they need to pay employees on a Friday even though the work is not yet done - NEVER do this. AC&R setup agreed upon progress payments and never asked for a penny before the work was completed.Definitely recommend!
