I have had the baked treats before from a friend who brought me some in the past.This was my first time going into a location.Im in love with all the breads 🍞 here.Amazing stuff!Addiction in the making.Really amazing breads.Next time I will try the boba drinks.Inside was a little dirty but they did seem very busy.

Lovely bakery with asian dessert options! Reasonably priced, spacious interior, and well managed. Lots of seating. Separate areas for baked goods, cakes, and you can order drinks at the counter too. Their egg tarts come in a box of two and were delicious. Tried their bacon and cheese bread as well, kind of disappointed because the bread had garnishes on top and wasn’t really filled with the toppings. Still tasty though. Will definitely be back.

This is an absolute gem of a bakery to find in Pasadena. Their selection of pastries are bountiful, and each of them look absolutely delicious in their own ways. Similar to a Hispanic bakery, you take a tray and rings and select everything you want. At the end you take it to the counter for checkout. The prices are fairly reasonable, with all items ranging from ~$2-4. I was able to get 5 scrumptious pastries for ~$15, which was a great light breakfast snack for my family. Their coffee was good, but not as hot as I would’ve liked. Seemed to just be warm, but the pastries make up for any dings that the coffee had. Fantastic place for sweet and savory pastries to interest the palate.

You’re in old town Pasadena so parking is a street or nearby garage. Bright & open interior with a decent amount of seating. This place is always pretty busy but the line seems to move fairly fast.Awesome selection of pastries, sweet and savory. Authentic flavors and good prices. The sweets case is full of tarts, cakes and other declines desserts. I’ve always left satisfied and happy!

This is the place to go for Asian bread, pastries and cakes. One can’t go wrong with the matcha red bean roll, pineapple cake and egg tart which are family favorites. Today, we discovered new baked goods like the ube bread and taro brioche.There are also more sliced cake options than before. The salted coffee and boba drinks are also good.

Definitely a place to stop in and you gotta try something! The Bakery is awesome! I just wanna stay here all day and eat everything! Then they got all this food for breakfast and lunch that fuses traditional breakfast/lunch and then fuses them together with pastries and awesome goodness. I’ve never been but we stumbled upon this place and had to try it out and wasn’t disappointed. #hungryformore

I tried it last night and it was nice though we got there late and tried the cheesy breads with sausage and stuff but it was all cold and I didnt enjoy it as much. Im sure when its warm its delicious like in the morning but coming at night around 830-9 pm wasnt good. Though I really enjoyed the taro swirl bread and especially the strawberry chocolate mousse cake was my favorite. All in all I kind of enjoyed it. Plus the prices are pretty decent.

This the best 85° that Ive been to. I usually go in DTLA but they do not have the same pastry options or at least when Im there. Nonetheless Im happy with the new options I get to try and was very satisfied. The 85° coffee is made to perfection as usual. I also like the layout.

My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVED this place! The cakes, pastry, and drinks are not that expensive and it was just a very clean, pleasant, relaxing, and soothing experience and way to spend the night! Ill surely be likely to revisit this place at least once a week! Highly recommend it, please take my advice!

The drinks and food are always good. However the service was pretty bad. I think this is the worst location by far, it was packed with only one cashier, and two people making the drinks. Waited for 35 minutes to get my 85° coffee. Thats insane.

Ive always been a fan here, however, with the increasing popularity, their customer service has gone way south. Ive always had excellent service here and recently everyone doesnt seem to care much about anything.Pastries are still decent. If this is your first time here, try their berrytale, egg tart, and the cheese bites. So good!

The Cheese mushroom soft bread, baked just right. Mango soft muffin, not too sweet. The Cinnamon twist was crunchy, perfection. Cheese garlic bread was not too garlicky, just delicious. This light jello fruity cup, such good choice. Sweet drink like taro smoothie, blended well. Lots of cakes. Plenty of option for a quick snack. I really enjoy this place. Well be back for some more!

Consistent quality with other 85C locations. I like getting bread at 85C in general because its a quick, easy and relatively affordable breads as snacks. They have a variety of both savory and sweet bread and pastries.Their cakes are not bad as well. Well decorated and flavorful. I have tried the mango one and the chocolate bear.

Hyped up overly priced typical bakery. I ordered the mango and it doesnt even taste like mango. I also bought the guava jelly strudel. Too many people around when I went and products on shelves are poorly stocked. When I asked, I was given an excuse that there is a private party going on at the moment so they brought all their products to the event. So I need to wait at least 30 minutes. I asked around and found out that it was a media event.They are so focused on media that they forgot there are customers around too.I give this place a one star and if I wanted a guava strudel, Ill go to Portos instead, its cheaper too.

I asked for a sea salt coffee, which o have gotten at other locations and it was great at the other locations. When my drink was finally finished it was just left at the end of the counter. He didnt even bother to indicate whos drink it was. I checked a couple drinks left on the counter and found mine. I felt bad for touching other peoples drinks but that is how they operate there I guess? I tried my drink and it was awful. It was absolutely nothing like the other sea salt coffees I had had at the locations. I waited in line again and asked the person who had taken my order and made the drink to simply fix the drink because it simply tasted nothing like the others I had had. He abruptly told me to stir the drink. I said I had. There was an awkward pause so I stirred the drink and took a sip and said it tasted exactly the same and it was not what I ordered because Ive had several of them before and they werent like that, so again I simply asked him to fix the drink. He said no because I took a sip of the drink. Mind you the cup was still almost completely full, it wasnt like I downed half and was going for a free refill. I yes Ive had maybe three sips. How would I know my order was not correct if I hadnt? He again said he wouldnt fix the drink. I then asked for a replacement, much like Starbucks does when they mess up a drink. He said no because I had already taken a sip. Again I pointed out I would not have known the drink was wrong if I hadnt. I then asked for a refund. He said we do not give refunds. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a coffee shop. I wasnt rude or unreasonable, all I wanted was the correct drink I had come to expect and had received without problem from other locations. In the end I paid for a their mistake and apparently that is what they feel is good customer service. Clearly I wont return to that location and would caution others to understand they do in fact expect you to pay if they mess up your drink. Just know that if you get the wrong drink from the barista, well to bad because you arent getting it fixed and you arent getting a refund.

It used to be amazing but now after covid it is not fresh anymore. No way it was baked that day. I came afternoon fot a huge purchase and it was all very dry and stale. Super disappointing. Also I asked for toro drink and the guy said they dont have it and started offering jasmine tea.... after a very confused conversation he then said they had it and I said forget about it..came home to discover it on my receipt.

Horrible experience and customer service! Visited on a Monday around 4:30pm. The cashier named Mario spent about 15 minutes holding the line while talking to his friends from HS (see pic below). Next, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get two sea salt coffees because there was only one barista taking care of customers orders. The manager eventually decided to come out to help with the orders and clean up the coffee station. I will never come back to this location.

Perfect pastries at a great price point. The milk tea bun and mango custard bun are always on my tray and I also love the potato croquettes. The grapefruit green tea is refreshing and light, tastes delicious with or without boba. This is also where I get my moon cakes, which come in a large variety of flavors!

They have lots of branches now, its always one of the bakery places worth to visit. They used to have 85c coffee deal on Mondays back then, I am not sure if they still have that. I like their milk bread, so soft and yummy. I like almost all their taro bread also the one with mushroom topping. It is my option when I do my no-meat day. Waiting sometimes a bit long especially during hot day in this location because people bought boba and cold drinks. What I like about their bread, its not overly sweet.. and the bread taste light. If you have never tried, you cant go wrong with this place.

One of many chain locations, 85 Degree Bakery Cafe here in Pasadena is one of the popular franchises of Asian-style bakery items. This location closes earlier than other locations so double-check before coming here after 7pm.The style is light, airy, and not overly sweet for their pastry items. Cakes and other dessert items are also lighter in structure and you wont find many heavy creams here.Drink items are your Asian teas and modern boba milk tea concoctions. There is coffee, but it really isnt good coffee. Additional flavors and additions are a bit chemically.But I do love some of their buns and individually portioned desserts. The Red Bean Buns, Ham and Cheese, Milk Buns, and bread are excellent. There are two types of Asian Egg Tarts one drawing some Portuguese styles. The selections can be overwhelming at first, but soon youll find a favorite or two if you explore. The pricing isnt gourmet and its affordability is what keeps folks coming.

If you go on a weekday morning youll probably have the place to yourself and its nice and quiet. If youre planning to study/work, theres no outlets so make sure your laptop is at full charge.

Im a South Bay native, so it hurt my heart to see this location in such bad shape.Dirty floors, dilapidated seating, dirty bathrooms, an inadequate selection of pastries, and some unidentified odor that hit my wife and I in the face as we entered. This location is a far cry from the quality that I am accustomed to from this chain. 85 as a whole is phenomenal; in Premium Milk we trust... but this location in particular is just not up to par Im sorry to say.

While the items are delicious, their customer service is terrible. One of the cashier ladies was very rude. She looked like didnt want to be there. It took more than five minutes for someone to come and make them. They never called our order. After 10 minutes, I went to inquire, and found the drinks just sitting there. Love finally having an 85 so close. The bread is always tasty and fresh. Not a big fan of the desserts, but thats just personal taste. Drinks are yum too!Get the egg tart when its fresh and hot! And always ask when the chocolate croissant came out, if they havent been out for more than an hour or two get it! Theyre so delicious. They just arent as flaky if theyve been out too long though.

What can I say about this place that hasnt been already said. Cheap Asian bread that is delicious. I suspect that they use just enough sugar to make it tasty without making it taste too sweet. I usually like the bread with the sausage inside it. Not sure what it is called. Usually very busy no matter what time you go in. They also have coffee that tastes really good, but it is too sweet for me. I believe it is called the coffee with sweet cream.

This place has the best fluffy bread and desserts Ive ever tasted! I went in the late afternoon and it wasnt too busy. There is a section where you can select your own bread, and another where you have to request the dessert from behind the glass. They also have coffee and other goods plus seating. Its a great place to grab a quick bite.

I love the different kinds of desserts. A variety of birthday cakes are available. Good for tourist, and university trendy crowd. Locals enjoyed the experience too. The staff is efficient and courteous with customers. You can take out or enjoyed it inside the bakery premises whether alone or with family or with group of friends. The place has tables available for Handicap customers. Easy to get there by the 210, 134 or 110 fwys. The bakery is at the heart of Old town Pasadena. I recommend to try it and enjoyed your time.

Parking is easy to find because there is a free structure right off green only a block away. Theres typically plenty of seating but it is pretty busy on the weekends.

Generally Im pretty easy to please but this location had problems with the air conditioning where the side that we were sitting was so hot. My drink melted on me. Because of the echoing it was so loud. I did not have the frame of mind to eat any of the pastries. Just want to get something cold and get out. The staff are very nice and friendly. In general, I dislike overly sweet bakery goods especially in the US. This bakery has a more asian flavor to it, and that suits me. The portions are reasonable, and the flavors dont overwhelm.Sometimes the drink orders take a while, and getting a table can be a struggle. Just like any busy joint its best to go off-peak.Theres parking across the street (I think 2 hours free). You can find some street parking, but its easier to just use the parking structure.

This is a pretty big 85 degree establishment on the corner of Fair Oaks and Green St. Street parking is hard to find, but its very close to paid parking lots -- the one across the street is free for the first 90 minutes. We like coming here for the pastries. Sometime we get a drink and those are good, but the pastries are always fresh and they have a lot of variety. Some of them I have no idea what they are, but you can generally find something youll like here.

I wish I could give this place 0 it’s been open for like 2 years and I have gone occasionally when in the area because the Glendale and Alhambra locations are great.This location is absolutely awful. If your trying to get some stuff before work for coworkers don’t bother. They open at 7 but they don’t fill their cases until after 8 and when they do I often have found them burnt or undercooked or wrong fillings entirely. I have always tried to give this place another shot because the others are so good but I give up. This place has horrible food that’s not even ready by opening hours which seems ridiculous for a bakery and the service is awful don’t bother especially if you are in a rush.

Most of them are cruel to an Asian style and many of them are a cross between between Asian American. the cheese hot dogs are excellent really . they are very flavorful if youre looking for something salty to eat. They have amazing desserts here, their mixed berry small dessert and their cheese danish was so good! I tried the hot version of the caramel macchiato and it was so delicious, perfect amount of sweet that I wanted! Theres a shared lot across the street that covers the first 90 mins of parking. Their service is average as theyre more focused on turnover than quality. Expect wait times for drinks and lines for pastries. However, the wait is always worth it for me. My favorite is their Portuguese Egg Tart. This is always a good stop if youre looking for some dessert after dinner in Old Town, especially if youre not looking to spend too much at the restaurant.

It is a self served bakery where you go around and pick your own desserts.They have a great assortments of bread and pastries with some unique flavors such as taro. But my favorite is the egg tart. I can probably eat a few of those alone.They constantly bake freshly made bread. It is amusing when they yell out Fresh Bread to announce it.In addition to their pastries, they also have a great assortment of drinks such as Taro Latte and Sea Salt coffee. I went here yesterday with my boyfriend. The location is very beautiful, way bigger than the Downtown L.A. one. I went to go pick up a Strawberry Tiramisu cake that I ordered on the phone a FULL day prior. Have to park away from the location but I love the food and drinks they have to offer. I especially love their iced milk green tea and iced milk black tea. They keep you awake !!

I like most 85 locations. Service is always friendly. Drinks are not always the same but its not bad.This location gets pretty crowded.Its Pasadena, park in a structure and walk.

I still love this place, but the last two times Ive been at the Glendale location, Ive been shorted (but still charged) on potato balls. The first time this happened, I thought it was a mistake, but this is the second time in a row its happened. Whats going on?

One of the biggest and nicest 85C bakeries.Theres free parking around the corner for 90 minutes. Perfect timing to grab a drink and baked good.Get anything with taro in it.

This 85 is one of the newer ones around. The building it is in is completely rebuilt, so it has a more modern feel to it. It is also bigger here.It does get busy since its in a prime location. Parking structure is right across the street.

I can say that this is a pretty good bakery I really like their expanding but this location is really good for my knowledge theyre pretty quick to get people in and out which is nice and they have good selection as well for baked goods foods and drinks The people there are nice which is good parking there is okay you may have to park down the street but other than that its a pretty good bakery I would say check them out

Discovered this 85 Bakery while waiting on the #260 bus on Fair Oaks/Colorado. This is actually on the corner of Fair Oaks and Green St. One block over from Colorado Blvd. Very clean and quiet- great place to sit, study, read a book or work, while eating baked goods and drinking one of their very tasty hot or cold coffee brew- Enjoy
