These guys are great and do awesome work. I have a 170 Sprinter 4x4 and have had all kinds of work done it. Most recently they added a Van Compass 2 inch Striker Lift kit and the new Rally Struts. The van was great with the Van Compass 4.3 suspension kit but after the build which added more weight the front felt soft and would push in corners. The Rally Struts are a game changer and this beast of a van now drives like a car. Cant wait to take it off-road. I would highly recommend 4X4 and MORE. You can trust and be confident in any work you have them do.Dave

4x4 and More installed a suspension leveling kit in our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Joey spent time going over my pick and we came to agreement it was the right choice. I was quoted a fair price with a one year labor warranty. I dropped off the vehicle on Monday morning and it was ready to pick up Tuesday. Everything about this transaction was handled in a professional manner. The workmanship and attention to detail, including the alignment report was first cabin. They have a good reputation and have obviously earned it. Good work, professional attitude and a fair price. Whats not to like?

I was totally impressed with the staff and the work done for me at 4X4 and MORE! Joey in the office was incredibly helpful in helping me decide what would be the best trailer hitch setup for my homemade Totota shortbed popup camper. Prices were fair and the work was done excellently. I interacted with three of the staff, including the person who did my installation, and they were all friendly and competent. The work got done in a day. I recommend this business highly.

Everything seemed to be in good order when I came to pick up my 4X4 van. The work was little more than routine service with a check up to make sure the 4wd was operating properly. My drive home takes me over a winding mountain road, and the van was lurching violently in the corners. When I finally was able to pull over I found the hubs locked. No wonder! Is it normal to leave a 4X4 vehicle in 2wd high with the hubs locked??

I’m continually impressed with the customer service at this business. In Santa Cruz it is rare to find people like these. Joey and Andrea have made every visit easy and efficient. I trust them more than my dealership. I had van compass suspension and black rhino wheels done there for my sprinter van. They tuned everything before a Baja trip off-road with my family. They had me back in for recall and bolt tightening no charge. They made paint marks on the bolts to make sure I could monitor them in the future. Van is riding well many miles later. On a separate occasion, I had a bad noise at the rear after off-roading and the dealer thought was a brake issue. I felt it was something else, and took it to 4x4 for a second opinion. They diagnosed it properly as an axle bearing with sand in it. It was ordered and fixed it in 24 hours. Another time, When I left a something behind at the office after a wheel rotation, Andrea delivered it to me that night on her way home. I can’t say enough great things about this team. 5 stars. Thank you guys.

This is the 2nd time weve taken our Sprinter Van in to 4x4. After a cross - country trip, we needed some upgrades to improve our vans performance. 1) the front office in very knowledgeable about their products AND the better products available in the market. We talked tires, pedal boxes and light bars. I shared what I found in my research and not only did they know these products, they could compare and contrast different products. 2) they helped us select the right options for us, telling us when we were over engineering the solution vs doing what is best. 3) they are courteous and always informative. They kept us up to date as things changed. We could use our van as parts were pending delivery. they made it easy.... and they are good to work with!

It pains me every time I have to hand the keys of my jeep to ANYONE but over the last few years Ive grown to really trust the good people at 4x4 & More. The mechanics always treat my rig well and dont cut corners. Jake takes the time to discuss options and make a plan thats right for me and often when I drop off or pick up, hes able to grab the mechanic whos working on my car to chat and tell me more details about what they actually saw in there and where we could make improvements next time. Helps me greatly! I find that most basic car repair places dont have the patience/knowledge of the older model manual jeeps and some of the jeep-specific places pressure me to do a bunch of mods I dont want. I have been going to 4x4 and More for a number of years now. They are good people and they seem to do good work. What has stood out was the one time I had difficulty with work they did. They fixed it for free. They made it right in every sense of the word. They didnt question me or say I did something wrong they just stood behind thier work. Why does that stand out? Well I have been going to dealers for much of my maintenance and problem solving due to manufacturers warranty on my vehicles. The dealers never stood behind their work. If they did it wrong or messed it up once the keys were in my hands it was my problem. The folks at 4x4 and More are not like that. They are good people to work with and they strive for a positive outcome and to provide a wonderful experience for you. That is getting rare. 4X4 and More replaced the shocks on my two 3/4 ton trucks and added steering stabalizer, sway bar and lift blocks to one. Also fixed a sticky brake and repkaced all four calipers. I dropped off my truck to fix some off-roading damage and replace an interior part that was not hardened enough to stand up to the driver. They took my truck in, even though I showed up unannounced and after-hours. They noticed the suspension squeaks a lot, something I just figured went with a truck. They are always super friendly and do what they say they will. When I got my truck back, they fixed the stuff I broke and it didnt squeak... for about a week. Hell, its a 4X4 that actually leaves the pavement. I figure the squeaking gives the wildlife a warning to get out of my way.

We have used 4x4 and More for our very-hard-to-find-parts-for 1995 Daihatsu HiJet mini dump truck (imported from Japan) and they are always capable, resourceful, detail oriented, and communicative. We recently had our 2010 Honda Fit have a mystery meltdown after being at the car wash next door for detailing. Clearly in the more category. The folks at 4x4 and More handled business - helped me push the car over to the shop when the people at the car wash acted like zombies and then stayed in touch as they started with the most likely, cheapest cure and then unraveled the mystery. They earned my respect and loyalty double.

April ‘23: Had 4x4 Offroad of Scotts Valley, install the Agile Offroad RIP Kit & 47g tank in 2022 Sprinter. They damaged a wheel sensor which made all other sensors and emergency brakes inoperable. They didn’t ( nor did they know how to ) calibrate the new gas tank levels nor how to set the computer for the miles/gallons and tank fill. Joey stated they would pay for the $600+ damaged sensor but then renigged payment. Now the company isn’t returning texts. So, it’s a $600+ sensor and now additional cost somewhere to calibrate the tank sensor and computer plus $ to tighten the bolts on the install.Sure they are friendly people but they don’t stand by their work nor their claims.

4X4 and More installed the correct hitch with wiring on our Subaru Forrester for a very reasonable price, were every happy with 4X4 service. 4X4 appears to one of the few shops in the county to offer hitch installation. Professional and easy to schedule, 4X4 likes to text message rather than talk on the phone. Its probably best to bring a vehicle in to start a quote. Hitch quotes are a little complicated as kit and wiring have to be aquired and this can take a few days for 4X4 to determine the correct kit and wiring for our car/truck. After a depost for the kit, its a few days to aquired to be installed. 4X4 offers other services, likely an awesome place to get a truck or SUV serviced.

I took my truck to them after reading the reviews. I thought I’d take a chance and have them look over my truck, as I was about to embark on a three thousand mile road trip the following week. As I expected they found numerous items that needed attention. I agreed to have all the needed repairs repairs done for a grand total of $3400. I got my truck back and two days later I noticed a coolant leak; they had replaced the heater hoses. I called and ask for them to take a look at it, was told they were too busy and that I should carry coolant with me, after reminding them that I was leaving on a road trip in a couple of days. Dumbfounded as to why you wouldn’t take five minutes to look at it after I spent that kind of money, I popped the hood and found it was a loose hose clamp.Got back from trip and now it’s another hose clamp that’s loose. It’s hard to get to and need their help. I called left message about the situation. Never returned my call. Not going back. After that kind service, I don’t need the headache.

Took my Jeep in for a track bar repair. Husband ended up bringing his Jeep in the same day because his rear end kept locking up. They diagnosed it as bad brakes in the rear and we replaced those. Recommended we replace the master cylinder knowing we had just spent almost 600 getting the brakes done. Now a week later theres magically a horrible vibration at 45 mph when BRAKING!!!!! so bad we have almost crashed due to it. Called them to ask what the f and got told to bring it back in..... Im sorry but they wont be touching either of my cars again..... After consulting with another mechanic it has been determined the job was done wrong and the rear end tampered with..... the ONLY shop that had touched his jeep until the most recent was 4x4 and more..... Highly disappointed in the service we got not only do I feel they made more problems to get more business but they did so and it nearly costed my husband his life.... AVOID!!!!

Horrible customer service!!! Tried bringing my vehicle in for a full suspension (ball joints, new air springs, shocks, wheels and tires and more.)Made an appointment over a week out. They called at 9am the morning before to confirm appointment, I confirmed. I drop off my vehicle at 8:30am the day of my appointment and leave it all day as agreed, so that they can put on one hour to do the suspension inspection and decide what parts to order.I get a call end of day that I assume to be my vehicle ready for pickup, but instead its the manager calling me to tell me they couldnt get to it that day. I am frustrated but agree to bring it back the following day.As I write this review its now the following morning. I just got a call from the manager saying the owner asked her to call me and tell me not to bring in the vehicle. She said they are down a coupe techs and the job is too big and tried to refer me out. This is after making an appointment 10 days ago, several confirmations and a full wasted day of the vehicle sitting there being ignored.Horrible customer service. Unacceptable. If you want to go to a place where your time is wasted and you are treated like garbage and disrespected than this is your place!Avoid at all costs.

I am so thankful to have a Jeep repair shop that provides an affordable service and has knowledgeable/experienced staff. Since 2004 Eric has been such a customer service oriented mechanic that it feels like working with family- he genuinely cares about his business and customers. He follows through to the end- anything he can do to please, he will. If you come in, you will not be disappointed.
