As an IT guy, I did my best to recover my drive when it failed, but it was beyond my capabilities. Somehow I stumbled on $300 Data Recovery and I am GLAD I did. From my first contact to my last, these guys were professional, communicated constantly so I knew every step of the way what was going on and best of all, they recovered 100% of my data. I am so happy that I was recommended $300 data recovery by another technician. I thought I would have to pay another company almost $2000 for a clean room recovery. I had a Seagate 2 TB external hard drive that wouldn’t connect to my computer but you can hear the fan but no light.You ship your item, they inspect your item, they inform you what is found on your item, you pay the flat rate plus any applicable taxes, and in my case, a new drive from them and then they ship your item back. It took less than two weeks, probably would have been faster but I was on vacation for one week. I definitely recommend them and would definitely use them again. They have great staff that answer emails quickly.

I can’t fully explain how happy I am that I tried $300 Data Recovery!Recently I accidentally knocked my external hard drive off the desk it was on, and when I plugged it back in, it had clicking/beeping sounds and my hard drive wasn’t starting up. I was panicked, and having never been through this I started looking online and found out that this could be a much bigger and more expensive problem than I realized! Now I was devastated realizing there was a chance I might not be able to get my data back, AND that if I did I might end up having to pay upwards of a couple thousand if the damage was severe!When I walked in Emely very patiently went through the process and was completely upfront about the pricing, and answered all of my questions. I was a bit skeptical when I found this company on google. It seemed a bit good to be true, but the company had good reviews so I gave it a try. They did exactly what they promised. I had dropped my external hard drive and it was broken. I sent it to them and they recovered 100% of my data and sent it back in less than two weeks. You dont pay unless they are able to recover your data, which is an unusual business model. I recommend this company heartily. (The total price was $575, including the cost of a new external hard drive for them to return the data to me on. They were up front about all costs.)

Wow, these guys are amazing! We had a failed Seagate hard drive and got quotes from 3 different companies. The 2 other companies started at $700 but they said it could go up to $3500 and likely would be in the top 1/2 of the quote. We decided to take a chance with $300 Data Recovery Recovery and I’m so glad we did. At first it seemed too good to be true. We decided if they couldn’t get the data off then we would send it to one of the expensive guys. I think our total bill was about $420 because it was a 4 TB drive. And it only took about a week from start to finish. Wow! I’m so happy we found this place. Definitely give them a try.

It can be hard to know if a shop is actually good or not, I had plenty of choices locally in a major Texas city, but upon seeing the reviews of 300 out in SoCal (and the prices) and shipping the drive out there, discovered out they are awesome! Fully recommended!They were communicative every step of the process and were professional with integrity. They showed me their skill of recovery with a list of what can and cant be recovered before recovery payment, and Im glad they recovered almost everything (would still be pleased nonetheless because of service)!There are no hidden fees beyond whats on the website or what they give you at consult, they even admitted that the encryption fee was a mistake (because the drive wasnt encrypted) instead of trying to tack it on. They took care shipping things back and following up. Would go back again!

The reviews of this place seemed very high, which led me to take my data recovery situation to them. It did not disappoint! Their process is very clearly laid out, their fees reasonable and fully explained/broken down at each step. Once I dropped my hard drive off, I received constant updates and confirmations to proceed at each critical step. Drop-off and pick-up were easy and quick. They were able to retrieve all of my data, and even provided a full file-list preview ahead of time so I could validate! The 300 dollars you will for sure waste if your problem is complex like mine (headers failed) will be purchasing their donor drive. They incompetently mismatched the drives and crossed their fingers hoping for a successful swap. They couldn’t recover anything from my original drive, 236 dollars for a donor drive in which they kept the motherboard from; if I purchase a donor drive, the entity becomes mine regardless if you have success with my original drive or not. Beyond their fraudulent misrepresentation of a donor drive with random mismatched information which I could of simply bought a random drive off eBay for 50 and 45 dollars BRAND NEW; they charged me 120$ as a bounty for my drive to be shipped back. $356 dollars wasted, no data recovery due to hardware negligence, and a stolen motherboard off of my 236 dollar Seagate Desktop HDD drive model ST4000DM000 - cheap drive that I forgot I had; I replaced all the rest with IronWolf drives and assumed I completed this for all.Lost memories, lost money off this fraudulent company, I recommend staying away if you don’t have a simple task for them.

I contacted more than one data recovery company when my relative needed help with a dead external HDD. The companies that called me immediately after I enquired via email were very cagey when discussing costs. One of the companies called me multiple times and would not commit to a price. I got the impression that the files would be held for ransom by some of these shady characters. After further research it seems that some companies try to charge as much as possible. I got the impression that I’d be bidding for my files. Starting at $249 is not quote. They have to have your drive in hand to give you a price.$300 Data Recovery responded via email (no sales call) with clear communication about the process and was very transparent that $300 plus shipping would be the total cost unless a donor drive had to be sourced to replace faulty parts on the bad drive. It turned out that we did have to buy that drive at an additional cost of $146.Including that cost and all the shipping, the total cost was $466. They recovered everything as far as I can tell. Communication was great throughout the process. I had no surprises.I would not hesitate to recommend them, and I’ll use them again if I have a similar issue in the future.

Its taken me some time to come and write this review, something I rarely do, but this company deserves it because they felt like genuine life savers.My 2tb hard drive had been dropped, and I was utterly devastated- Years worth of art, photos, documents all immediately inaccessible, seemingly lost forever. I was quoted $1800 from another data recovery service to recover data from a failed SSD. This was with a 6-8 week turn around. Thankfully they didnt destroy the drive. I shopped around to several places before coming here. The first place gave me a price range of $700 to $3,900 dollars for my 2 Terabyte external drive with the caveat that “most likely the cost would be in the upper half of the range.” I wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of spending upwards of $2,300 to recover my data.I am glad I found $300 Data Recovery, I went online and followed their very easy but detailed series of questions about my drive. My estimate ended up being $500 since my drive had encryption on it. I dropped the drive off at their location and they did a great job keeping me up to date on the progress. They emailed me a link to double check that the files they would recover were correct, I paid online and picked recovered data five days after dropping it off.I am so glad to have my data back and I am following their advice and backing up to two separate external drives.A nice thing to see at their drop off location; very sweet letters from school kids thanking them for the computers they donated. I have been backing up all of my family photos and videos to an external hard drive for years. I then use a cloud storage vendor to back that drive up. At some point my hard drive failed and what I didnt realize is the cloud vendor I used ages out devices that dont connect in x number of days. Long story short, I had a failed drive, with no cloud backup, and almost 20 years of my family photos/videos gone. I contacted two local recovery companies that quoted me between $1500 - $2500 to attempt the recovery. I was devastated. I then happened upon $300 Data Recovery, which came highly recommended on Reddit. I figured, I had nothing to lose. I was quickly quoted $300 + shipping + replacement drive if applicable. Two days after shipping the device, I received confirmation that they had received the drive and would start working on it. $300 Data Recovery is the BEST thing since sliced bread. My hard drive crashed without any prior computer issues, and local companies could not recover any of the lost files (three years worth), which were not backed up (Thats another story!). The first company I contacted asked for a minimum of $3,900 to recover my files, and THAT was on the low end of their quote. I came upon a Reddit thread recommending $300 Data Recovery and contacted them. From the beginning, communication was detailed and swift. Their fees are 10% of the other company, and I cannot recommend them enough if you ever need files recovered. Within the 3-5 days they allow to recover 99% of the lost files, my personal photos werent recovered. They were closing for the holidays, and a tech offered to keep trying to recover the photos (again, three years worth) while on vacation. I was much more concerned with getting the photos back than I was with the timeframe. After the holidays, I was emailed the list of recovered files, and 99% of my photos were also recovered to my absolute delight and amazement!!! I cannot state emphatically enough how wonderful everyone on their team has been and how grateful and thankful I am to have three years of my work and personal files back. I cannot emphasize using this company. I had a drive that went corrupt during an update and lost everything. After doing some research, these guys were the cheapest in town. I had to do a loaner drive which they were able to recover 82% to over 99.5% of the drive. Even when I called around to ask other companies to do this, they quoted me $500-$1000 more. Recently I discovered an old Seagate Hard Drive that I had crashed, and set aside over 3 years ago. In a conversation with a friend who owns a computer business he recommended having $300 Data Recovery take a look at it. . . . Long story short, the folks @ 300 D.R. did respond immediately to my email, and I was very impressed with their enthusiasm and professional approach to solving my HD disk issue. I did follow through with their program of easy to follow instructions, and in less than 10 days a transfer HD with my lost information was in hand. Finally the closure was just what I hoped for as all of my personal files had been recovered, and placed on a transfer disk. Thankfully I found this company & after all was said & done, I spent a little less than $600 & got 97% of my data recovered!!! The whole process from sending them my broken drive to receiving a new transfer drive with my recovered data took about 4 weeks (I used their standard service, not priority). I thought they were very fast & responsive. If you’re reading this, you are probably in a jam. Precious data is potentially lost. I was a real dummy and hadn’t backed up an external hard drive that included years of creative work. Music and film, but also a 230TB photo library with 20 years of family photos. I called 4 data recovery companies, and brought my hard drive to a local shop. They said they could recover my data but quoted me $1250.00. This didn’t sit right with me That was an extremely expensive quote, but also how did they know what my drive needed based on just plugging it in in their shop. I went to read reviews of another company and found a customer review that mentioned $300DataRecovery. I then went and read their reviews. What struck me was that Brian responded to every review both positive and negative. He didn’t lash out at negative reviewers but instead provided context if their particular case required more work or a donor drive.I filled out the form to see my chances of recovery. I was given a 65% chance of recovery. I decided to go with them anyway. I had a 3TB drive so I knew ahead of time it would be $400, plus a new drive to send my data home. There was a chance I would pay for a donor drive if they needed parts. This ended up not being the case so I got off relatively easy at $565 including shipping and a new drive.The scariest thing about sending off your hard drive to a company you don’t know is the unknown. So, my home got hit hard by Hurricane Ians 25+ foot storm surge. When picking through the debris, we found the CCTV DVR about 100 away from the building. It looked like it had a wild ride. We popped open the cover and while the drive definitely had a salt water bath, it looked reasonably good. The circuit board on the bottom of the drive was corroded, especially on the power pins.$300 Data Recovery delivered! I sent the drive to them and about a week later I had all of the files. These guys said the price would be around ~$500, but were very clear that other factors (like encryption) would add on to the price, and kept me updated on the final quote. Very good customer service, I sent my dead drive in from across the country and they did everything very professionally. They replied faster and more skillfully than other companies I messaged, even ones in my local area. I thought my files were completely erased, 2 terabytes of data that I hadnt backed up gone randomly one night. I highly recommend this service. Instead of charging by the hour, they offer a flat rate of $300 for recovering your data and only charge if they are able to recover it. There may be some additional costs to put your files on a new drive, and/or to cover the cost of parts or a donor drive if they need one for new parts. This service was very honest and did not end up needing to purchase any new parts or a donor drive because they were able to recover the data without doing that!Many other companies could have easily said they needed to cover the cost of extra parts but this company was honest and did not charge for services that werent needed. I saw this company while searching for options for my data recovery. While searching for these companies, I got various prices and when I saw the price charged for services I figured this was a scam so I sent my drive in to a different company and was given a quote of over $2,000. I then contacted $300 Data Recovery to get a feel for them and see if it was actually a company. The price difference for data recovery from them and all the rest of the service providers is very large so I was skeptical. My inquiry with them seemed straight forward and I was given the price quote so I decided to give them a chance. I sent my drive in and they got to work. In this time, I had to purchase a donor drive to get my heads replaced. I was told that there was a 51% chance a head swap would be successful, and upon that success a 51% chance that they could recover at least 90% of my data. So I basically had 2 coin flips in play, and I decided to go ahead with recovery efforts. They did in fact successfully swap my heads and successfully recovered 91% of my data. Now here is what is so special about this company...I was kept in the loop every single step of the way. I didnt have to contact them for progress reports, they are the ones that kept me informed of what was going on! The couple of times that I did have questions, I just simply emailed or live chatted with them and immediately had my concerns answered. I had an old Western Digital portable drive that was no longer accessible (would attempt to spin up with soft clicking noises, and be unable to mount). 300 data recovery was able to recover all of the files on the drive! 300DDR was a great company to work with. We had an old Windows 98 PC that suffered a hard drive failure. That PC was running a CNC machine, and I could not get the machine to communicate with a new Windows 98 installation. 300DDR was able to identify the problem with my hard drive, source a hard drive to use for parts, and recover pretty much all of our data. I had an external HD fail 6-7 years ago that was full of my kids baby pics and videos. I got an estimate from a different company back then and it was $900-$1000, which I couldnt afford at the time. These guys are seriously the BEST!! My hard drive failed and I took it to a local data recovery shop. They charged me a $60.00 diagnostic fee and then then told me the drive had bad heads and that it would be a $799.99 recovery charge. UPDATE (July 1, 2019): I ended up needing to use $300 Data Recovery a second time and had even more success than the first time--they were able to recover just about all of my data on a different busted external hard drive. This was a 5TB drive, so it ended up costing $400, but thats still a steal. Thanks again for the great work!ORIGINAL (August 27, 2017): I looked into several data recovery companies online and none came anywhere near close to the value offered by $300 Data Recovery. Literally, its in the title--$300 for the standard data recovery, for which mine qualified. Do note that if you dont live in the LA area and have to ship the device, you pay for the costs of shipping. However, at $300 for the data recovery service, even with shipping its still by far the best value out there.Beyond just value, they also did a great job recovering my data. My 2TB (which was pretty full) external hard drive fell down the stairs and wouldnt connect to any computer afterwards. $300 Data Recovery was able to recover somewhere between 80% and 90% of my data, which is excellent. Note that they do a diagnostics first to let you know precisely which files are recoverable, which could be recovered, and which are probably too corrupted to recover. So, worst case scenario is you dont move forward with the data recovery after the diagnostics, but at least you have a full list of your files, which at least gives you a chance to put them back together.In addition, the folks at $300 Data Recovery are very responsive to emails and questions. They also take privacy very seriously and encourage their customers to send them a non-disclosure agreement, which I did.Definitely a 5-star experience with these folks.

After my external HDD stopped working, I thought I had lost everything stored on it, most importantly family pictures dating back to 2003. Put my failed SSD in the mail to them on a Saturday, they notified me that they received it and were working on it by Monday, and I had my recovered data back within a week of mailing it. The Hard Drive that 300 data recovery worked on was sent to both of these places and both were well over $1200 dollars. I think Fields-data-recovery did even more damage to the drive but I cannot prove this.From the very beginning 300DR was upfront and very professional. I was recommended to 300 Data Recovery by a computer tech who works on my computer. I was having trouble with my external hard drive after my son dropped it on the floor. The horror situation happened to me - one day I boot up my computer and one of my storage drives cant be accessed. Paid a rush fee to get the drive looked at. The communication process throughout was good; however, I was told the drive had a mechanical issue and they would send it to someone else who would charge $1400!!! I had them send the drive back and then sent it to Seagate who was able to recover 100 percent of the data for $600. This was what I would have paid 300 data recovery if you factored in the rush fee, regular fee and external dive cost. My external hard drive started to choke up a month or so ago. It was processing photos slowly, making some whirring sounds, and wasnt letting me copy files off of it to a new drive. This company is superb. Very upfront on costs and time. They were able to recover virtually all my data on a damaged external hard drive. You have to make payment by phone as not available via internet. But very trustworthy folks. They are available for questions and concerns by email and phone. I have brought many drives here over the last few years. Post production sound, remixer. They are honest, fast, and affordable. They have recovered many entire drives, and have shown honestly what can be saved from completely ruined drives. These are all SSDs, which are difficult to extract from.Overall, I trust these guys, they do what they can with no BS, and they deliver.

Got my hard drive recovered in less than a week after the Apple store removed it from my computer. Apple told me recovery would usually be too expensive to be worth it, but with the $300 base fee plus encryption, it was totally worth it. Unfortunately Apple charged me a $60 fee to keep my original Seagate hard drive, something I already own, but a total of $460 was definitely worth all the years of data on my hard drive! This place is much cheaper than the place Apple recommended too!

My hard drive 320GB start producing loud clicking sound and after inspection I found it has mechanical damage and need minimum head swap. After contacting few recovery companies and some recommendations from my company IT team, I found an average of $1200 to recover the data. This is ridicules price. I found this company with good reviews and I decided to give try. I mailed the laptop hard drive as instructed and they are very quick with the work and response. They informed me that there is major problem with damaged heads and probably some degree of platter damage and They need donor. I could not believe that they could locate the donor with very affordable price and they charge only $300 as they advertise. Really I appreciate everybody work and support in my case and I recommend everybody to use this company. Even if you are ready to pay extra, I don’t think you will get better customer service or quick work as this company.

They were awesome! Im a VFX artist who is absolutely obsessed with backing up tons of data almost daily. Unfortunately, my wife had her backup drive go bad which happened to be the drive she was working off of as well. Important accounting data was lost. The folks at $300 Data Recovery were very diligent and informative during the whole process. My drive had a bad head but they were about to get back 100% of the hundreds of gig of data I had on the drive. Even if they couldnt get all or any data back, my experience with them left me the impression that they are honest. I would go back to them even if the my data was lost. I was surprised by the responsive communications and high quality results I got with $300 Data Recovery. The whole process was efficient, clear, and to the point. They delivered more than they lead me to expect with no whining about the difficulty of the job or any unexpected cost or upgrades. The recovered data files were renamed in the recovery process necessitating some effort to convert into a form that was recognized by my programs (Quicken for example), but once done, all is good. As best I could tell, any alternative I could find for this data recovery would have cost at least 3 times more. One thing I have learned for sure: hard drives fail randomly and data backup is essential.

Never having needed these services before, it quickly became apparent the industry is chock full of sharks looking to take full advantage of your misfortune and bleed you for every last dollar rather than run an honest business happy to provide a desperately needed service at a humane price.I was just about to ship off my drive to what Im now convinced is one of those many shark tanks. My computer hard drive and back up drive both crashed at the same time! After local repair companies told us good luck, we didnt have much hope that the data on my drive could be salvaged. 2 1/2 weeks later, I had a drive back with my data on it. Before we tried to transfer all the individual files, we decided to give my Time Machine file a try. It worked! We were so excited that I was able to restore from it. So far I have not found anything that is missing (and if anything is missing, at this point it doesnt matter that much). I would definitely recommend $300 Data Recovery. Great service! Our external drive failed 2 years ago while we were transferring data to ensure we wouldnt lose our family photos. Our computer repair guys werent able to get into the drive. Two IT groups within our organization tried to recover my hard drive. One couldnt do it, the other pulled some but with no file labels or document names the thousands of of items were really unusable. $300 Data Recovery was able to pull all the data off the hard drive with my file structures and document names intact!
