Came to LA to visit for a week... ended up at 26 Beach every day for their French Toast. I Tried every flavor on the menu. They were AMAZING. I dream of their French toast. I cant wait to come back out there so I can eat French toast every day again.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! My teenage daughters and I went to brunch here while visiting the area. This was our favorite place to eat, as everything tasted so good! The waiter was so kind, patient, and thoughtful. We will definitely return!

Honest review- 4.5 excellent food. Had two apps and an old fashioned. Pesto flat bread on point. Amazing taste and texture. Spicy tuna crispy rice. Two small potions but it was delicious. Old fashioned was spot on with whiskey soaked cherry. Phenomenal! Only issue I had was the bathroom smells like wet Pennies. Other than that I wanted to try more food just to see how my palette would react! Overall. This is a gem!

Took my mom for her birthday today for brunch. All of our meals were delicious. I had the Go Bananas French Toast and a French Vanilla Latte to drink, my daughter had the Three Way and a Lavender Lemonade, my parents had the Wild Alaskan Salmon Sandwich and the Leo Carillo (sandwich) and Hisbiscus drink (just juice without the Cold Brew part). The service was also great, very friendly and professional.

With a party of 6 -- 4 of our plates were not hot and the traditional French toast and wings were both dry. Im thinking the French toast was dry, due to the fact that I opted not to order with toppings. The wings were just dry and not hot. On the positive side -- the establishment had Eclectic decor, which provided some interest. A portion of the restaurant has a retractable roof thats great for giving an indoor outdoor feel, but uncomfortable on sunny days once retracted; so be aware when being seated. Self parking is available behind the restaurant and curbside parking is also an option.

This place was designed with the Instagrammed brunches in mind, but feels a bit dated. The decor has a lot going on and it translates to the menu as well.It is all over the place. Eel crispy rice, enchilada pasta, Jamaican jerk egg scramble just to name a few...I ordered a Spicy tuna burger.Thats sushi style spicy tuna spread on top of a burger patty. Dont worry about it, its a gimmick.Servers were dressed in white shirts, aprons, and ties, but a fine dining establishment this is not. Service was good. Overall focus was very bad. Everything needs to be pared down.

Great atmosphere, I loved the decor. There was plenty of space to sit. Great service and they were extremely attentive. My wife got Frenchtoast which she loved. Son had cheeseburger with fries which was made fresh and was nice and juicy. I just had Portuguese sausage which was a little spicy which was good. If your in town visiting like we were must stop and it is close to LAX.

We split our burgers just to see which one was better. We ordered the hickory burger and the chefs burger. Both were outstanding. One of the things that really hit home with me was the quality of the food. Everything was top notch-from the bun to the meat to the sauces, cheeses, etc. Everything was so very tasty. I will definitely be back to try out a couple other burgers and their breakfast menu. We sat next to a fountain which made my eating experience even more memorable. Great ambience. Oh, and plenty of parking in back.

Pricing is too expensive for what it is. Their lavender latte was hot, extremely strong and barely tasted different than espresso. Had their fried chicken, eggs and french toast. I can imagine some connoisseurs would enjoy it, it was some of the better Ive had but still cheap ingredients. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you want a quiet evening at a cutesy restaurant with good food, go to 26 Beach for dinner on a Monday night. It has pintings of pink poodles, large umbrellas in the outdoor areas, hanging crystals, and an overall girlie vibe. I’ve heard it’s busy for weekend brunch, but it was incredibly slow on Monday. Our server Crystal was very nice and helpful in terms of dietary restrictions.I went with the Date Burger ($19.50) from the Black Sheep section because of the goat cheese - kind of funny that goat cheese is under the black sheep section? I got it over lettuce because I’m gluten free. In addition to the 4oz beef patty, it has dates, bacon, almond-encrusted goat cheese, honey, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Between the dates and honey, this burger is already on the sweeter side, and then the salad dressing was also on the sweeter side - sesame vinaigrette.Next time I’m back for dinner this summer, I want to try the Lamb Chop & Peach Salad ($27.95).

This place is so cute & and serves great food. 4 stars because we went on a cold night & they only had the outside portion open & one heater was not working. Other than that, it was great. Its definitely a cute date place or outing with the girls. Had the Old Fashioned they do not have pure alcohol so it was made with a whiskey wine. Surprisingly, it was delicious & it had a kick! Lamb chops were cooked perfectly.

The food was great. The downside for me was that the waitress was not very friendly nor very attentive at all. However the gentleman who brought out our food was very friendly and welcoming.

Randomly came in for a steak because I liked the look of the retro pastel pink storefront. Had no idea what to expect but the service was great, cold brew coffee was perfect and the streak was great. Intentionally tacky decor inside which is a lot of fun. I felt bad because I left a lousy tip but it’s only because I’m new to America and hadn’t calculated properly. I only realized after I left that I hadn’t tipped enough considering how good my experience was so I wanted to leave this review. I’ll definitely be back for a burger or dessert some time with friends.

I love the eclectic atmosphere that 26 Beach provides and being able to dine in, was a nice change. We were promptly seated and scanned the menu via their website. We decided on the French vanilla latte and I ordered the Chicken Parmigiano with linguine while my friend ordered the chilaquiles. We also got the garlic bread starter cause, cheesy garlic things make us happy.The Chicken parm was pretty standard, not a bad thing but not a cartwheel on the sidewalk kind of thing. Adding butter and parmesan cheese lifted the dish, so I was happy. My friends chilaquiles were fantastic and I will be ordering those on my next visit. The garlic bread was fine but I could of done without it. Service was attentive and friendly, so that is always a plus. Im looking forward to coming back here soon.

Brought to this restaurant due to its rating. As myself and family arrived we waited about 10min to be seated. That was fine.We ordered a lavender lemonade that was merely lemonade. The only insinuation of lavender was the color and some presumed purple flecks at the bottom. Sent that back.Replacement water was forgotten.The garlic fries were far, far too salty & unenjoyable, they too were sent back.Not much season to their main courses.And their customer service was poor on this day.Will not be back again.

Had brunch here one Sunday. The atmosphere was great. I had their #19 French toast meal and it was very yummy. It was a big serving so I didnt eat all of it. Extensive menu! It was difficult to choose just one thing to eat. We also appreciated the eclectic decor, as Instagrammers will find lots of photo ops. Drinks are delicious as well. Only downside was the heat, as the small fans on the ceiling did little to cool is down and some tables are directly under the sun.

Cute ambience, and a wide selection of breakfast & brunch choices. We tried the Spicy Tuna Hamburger (burger has beef patty as the default and layers the tuna on top) and the #19 French Toast. Both were really enjoyable and good in portion size. The #19 tasted like an elevated McDonald’s McGriddle, and I mean that in a good and tasty manner.

I came here for a business lunch for the first time last week.Guest service: Staff was friendly and seated us right away. However, we did say we wanted patio seating but they sat us in a private dining area in the back of the restaurant, which is okay.Food quality: I got the seafood pasta. Great dish. The portions are large which is amazing for groups. The only reason I gave this place a 3 star and not a 4 is because one of my clients ordered a veggie lasagna and when her dish came out... and she took her first bite it was a regular lasagna with meat. Big no no. Luckily, she just wanted to try it out and wasn’t a full on vegetarian. However, if he was, that would’ve been very bad. I am a vegan myself and haven’t had meat for a couple of years now. I’m sad this happened. Kitchen staff and servers need to be more aware of what’s getting put out to the customers.Ambiance: very fun vibes! The host and busboy were phenomenal, they both kept our table clean and our coffee mug filled with hot coffee 😊. Table for 2. Sat inside. Enjoyable ambient music 🎶. The waitress did OK (not friendly, nor attentive) The Chef did his thing; Breakfast Chilaquiles were ultra scrumptious, will order again 🤝🏾💯. Price = $26 / service = above avg / cleanliness = avg / vibe = chic, casual / parking = decent size back lotOrdered the Yuki Spicy Tuna burger with fries = ~$26. Now...it is tough to find a good solid yet alone unique burger house. Unfortunately, 26 Beach is not one of them. Although it seems that they would be based on the unique sushi burgers, Kobe and other interesting items, it seems best to avoid any of the burgers. IMO if the patty is thinner than the bun, the burger is no good. There are only a handful of smashed patties that are worth it and most of them are from the chain faster food joints.The flavor was decent being just enough salty and very slightly juicy: however, there was nothing special about the burger even on a spicy tuna sushi topping. Imagine you running up to a delicious smelling and looking burger patty eagerly waiting to bite into a thick savory and juicy patty but then someone took a step on it and spicy tuna oozed out with the patty getting squished thin. I know the sushi on meat sounds fearsome, but even the patty and toppings itself needs much work. I almost ordered the Kobe but do not think it would be worth it after this burger. The bun was sadly VIP which should be the other way around from the patty. Brioche type that is fluffy like biting into a cloud with a slight push back saying dont bite me. Fries are decent but not good enough to recommend. They are the slight crunchy but soft and gooshy insides kind. It is like if you fry Play-Doh and the crust becomes slightly crunchy. You know those times where you expect a good meal but had a subpar one and now you are annoyed...this was one of those times.HOWEVER, their breakfast might be worth it as I believe most Yelpers that reviewed ordered those. I stalked some of the other table / ordered items and the sandwiches DO look yummy. Stick with the sandwiches or front breakfast items. There is a reason that seems to be the front menu. Pastas are dependent too but probably better to avoid for a main at 26 Beach. I plan to visit again and have the other recommended items to possibly update my review to match the overall response.Interior has a chic and casual vibe. One of the best interiors with a cafe vibe. Lots of high fashion brand names and decor to match. Selfie and insta friendly.

It could be a bit difficult to find a parking during dinner hours. You may want to pass the restaurant and make the first right turn. You would enter a residential area and it is so much easier to find a parking spot. Plus it is free.They have interesting manue, so have fun ;)

Regardless, it’s still a good date spot with a very robust menu offering but you really come here for the burgers. We came here on a Sunday night and there was plenty of seating along with excellent attention from the staff.All of us got the burgers and there are about 20 different variations but they had so many random dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, jerk chicken, to lamb chops and steak. The appetizer offerings were a bit weak but the burgers are about 8-10oz so you will definitely leave content. Something to try before making your way to the beach

Everyone at the table was blown away by the drinks and food! The service was also great. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because of reservations. I called 3 times to reserve a table and left a message with my contact information and reservation time but never heard back. If they don’t want people to call they should remove their number from their listing or make tables available through the online reservation system. When I looked there were no tables available but when we got there was no wait and we were seated right away!

This is a solid brunch option if you’re looking for something casual. The servers are friendly and the food is delicious. I like the Baja Benedict which comes on brown rice and beans instead of an english muffin. We lived in Marina Del Rey for 3 years and ate here often, my favorite meal at 26 is the ribs and eggs for breakfast, the ribs are always perfectly cooked and the bbq sauce is so tasty I always get an extra side to put on my eggs. My wife and I have been living in Warsaw Poland for the past six months and are just in LA for a couple of weeks, 26 Beach is our first stop for the ribs and eggs!

The good: The menu is extensive to the point of overwhelming, and everything I’ve had there in my three visits has been tasty. The sushi burgers are unique and delicious and the many varieties of just French toast, salads, burgers, egg scrambled, and other dishes available will surely satisfy most tastes. I’m not a big French toast guy, but the croissant style French toast is quite unique and delicious.Now for the bad and the reason I probably won’t be back: The service was very slow despite the fact that we showed up at 11am in a Friday. It took us more than an hour and a half to finally leave due in large part to waiting on service so much, every time we needed it.The food is overpriced, although I will say that this is somewhat made up for by the quantity. For example most dishes including burgers, French toast, scrambled, etc are $17-21. Most portions are quite large and two of our party took food to go. But $6 for a small glass of watermelon juice?And for the worst bit: we found not one but two different labels in our food in our party of five. The first was a label from some sort of seafood, and oddly was in a ceasar salad. The waiter offered to exchange the dish for a new dish, but it took 10 minutes of waiting to get the new dish. All of that might have been OK but he didn’t apologize or even act surprised.The kicker came today, though as I was eating the leftover eggplant Parmesan at home. The food was tasty but as I was chowing down in it, I found the label from one of the eggplants in the dish. So from this one meal, two out of five dishes had labels in them. I could believe one is a coincidence but 2 in one setting? Get your quality control together 26 Beach.

This place is right on the border between Marina Del Rey and Venice, Ca. Youd probably have to have someone take you there or at the very least tell you about this place or youll drive right by it. However, if you are one of the lucky ones to find it, you will be pleasantly surprised I guarantee. From the outside causual patio, to the throwback inside dining area, you will find a decor youll enjoy. Ive had both the breakfast and the lunch and throughly enjoyed both. They have a variety of breakfast offerings and sides and also several coffee suggestions both for the regular types (like me), and the fancy coffee drinker (lattes and such). The lunch menu is also a good mixture of good food from salads to pastas, and from burgers to fish. Btw, they have some of the best onion rings Ive tried.Try it out and let me know what you think!

A fun atmosphere in a heated, semi-open space (ask to be seated outside, some seating inside is available). It is noisy. Equally for lunch and dinner, there is a huge variety of tasty and well -prepared foods. This cafe is particularly known for their salads, although the 26er (a burger) is excellent. Their dessert menu is excellent. Prices are reasonable in an era of exorbitant restaurant prices. Parking is a problem. The very, very small parking lot in the back only accommodates a handful of cars. Grabbing a spot on the same side of Washington as the restaurant is dicey. You may have better luck on the opposite side of Washington, then ONLY CROSS AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT.

We were seated after a fifteen minute wait, in spite of the Saturday brunch rush.Id ordered the breakfast chilaquiles, and while its been long enough to where I couldnt give specific notes, I remember I enjoyed it. We and my fiancé came here as a last stitch effort to enjoy what little time we had on our vacation.I am blind and have a seeing eye dog whose incredibly well behaved and unlike most experiences we endured throughout the whole So.Cal area this restaurant never even batted an eye at letting him in. It’s probably because they are pet friendly but I have to say it was such a relief.From the service at the door to the end of the meal was just purely spectacular. We had Jeff as our waiter, and he was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and the area. What a find! We tried 26 Beach tonight on a whim and it was a wonderful experience. The place has a super cute atmosphere, great music, and excellent service! The food and cocktails are also top notch. We had Paloma margaritas which have a bit of grapefruit which was a tasty twist. We also had the gumbo, the Baja steak salad, and the Cajun pasta with shrimp - all delicious! The desserts are made in house too, so make sure you save room for them! My boyfriend also got a mocha, which was really bad - it just tasted like milk.Maybe people coming for drinks and dinner would have a better experience. I dont recommend their breakfast at all.

The decor of the restaurant is very interesting...a mix of a lot of different styles which makes it really unique.I am a big fan of french toast so I just went with the #19, which is stuffed with sausage, fried eggs & cheese. It also comes with a side of sweet potato fries. I didnt enjoy the fries too much. Its too soft for my liking...wish it was a little crispier. But I didnt order it for the fries, I was salivating as soon as I saw my french toast! Looks as good as it tastes!! The french toast is nice and soft, its basically eating a cloud! Pair it with the maple syrup and its delicious. Its tough to fit the whole thing into your mouth but you gotta do what you gotta do.I wish there were fans in the little patio area as it can get a bit hot with so many bodies in one area. Parking can be a bit tricky if there is no street parking but you can round the corner and park in the neighborhood easily.

We arrived and put our names in table for two. The hostess said it would be 20 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes we double checked to see where we were on the list. The hostess said 10 more minutes. In total we waited an hour before finally being seated. I would’ve appreciated honesty or at least some accuracy when giving us these time estimates. Once we were finally seated we waited again….after not seeing a server for quite a while I went to the hostess and asked if we were supposed to place orders at the front or if someone would take the orders. She then searched for someone to take it. The person who was supposed to be taking our order went to a group seated AFTER us. We placed our drink and food order at the same time, in case it would be hard to track the person down and the fact that my husband and I were both starving at this point. While waiting on our food/drinks the waitress was handing out orders to the wrong tables. We received our appetizers in a pretty timely manner, but after I finished my appetizer one of the bussers took my silverware, even though I had it placed by me and the dirty plates were at the end of the table. Food was served within 30 minutes of being seated which wasn’t bad, but my husbands dish had a hair in it and so did mine, but we were too hungry to care. I ordered the very berry French toast and it was good, not the best I’ve had, but good. My husbands salad was good, but not anything special. The food felt expensive for the the whole experience, but maybe would be worth if the situation was different.

Our family has been a patron of 26 Beach Cafe since they had their location close to the Venice pier 33 years ago. We have always loved their food and during the last several years have ordered their cheese burger to pick up, which was thick, juicy, large, and available on a large cheese bun, which was delicious and worth the cost. Unfortunately, we now have to find a new burger place. It was on a regular bun, the beef patty was half the size and could have come from McDonald’s, the fries have always been soggy, and for about $23 including tip it’s no longer worth it. I’m so sad. But save your money on the burger.

Unfortunately, everything about the place has gone downhill.The first two drinks I attempted to order were not available - they didnt have some of the ingredients - and it took me about 20 minutes just to get my first drink because the waitress took a long time to come back to the table when I had to figure out a third drink to attempt to order.In fact, there seemed to be only one waitress to serve all of the tables in the enclosed patio area (there were 7 tables, IIRC, which were pretty much always filled). She was pretty neglectful of our table -- when we finally did get our meal, we only got half of it (2 of the 4 burgers) -- after about 5 minutes, I was able to get her attention, and point out to her that the other half of our meal hadnt arrived. All of our burgers were cold and overcooked (burned on the outside and easily well-done inside, even though we were told theyd be medium-rare). I got the spicy tuna burger and the tuna was... orange? That was disconcerting. I had digestive problems afterwards, as did my sister (who had a different burger).I still left a 20% tip because Im a nice person, but unfortunately I wont be headed back to this restaurant any time soon. It was a disappointing evening out, and considering how little Ive gone out this past year, that just added to feeling let down by this place that Ive enjoyed for so many years.

What a cool and great place. We came there as part of our vacation from the company, we got inside and it was just a great looking place. The design of the place is really cool also the tables and the walls were really artistic. We order food champagne and coffee and all the above were really good. The service was nice also our server was really courteous and nice to us and everything we wanted he did fast and served us really well.

Great food, extensive menu with something for everyone. Fun atmosphere, great drinks. Reason for 4 instead of 5: the bar is too cramped to wait at, and in the middle of the hustle so while the cocktails are delicious, we were bumped around a bit while drinking them. The food is a full 5 stars, but the crowds and busy-ness made it hard to get our servers attention. Perhaps had we come during non-peak hours it would have been a full 5 star experience.

Another amazing find! Parking can be a bit tricky and there is usually a wait to get in but its worth it. Took us about 15 mins to be seated. A ton of food choices to pick from so almost anyone will be able to find something to eat or drink. I went with the stuffed French toast. Stuffed with spicy sausage egg and cheese it was amazing. Came with a side of sweet potato fries that were really good with not an overbearing sweet potato taste. Staff was on top of our refills and the atmosphere is super hip and refreshing. Cant wait to go back next time we are in that area!

Very busy, especially weekend breakfast or brunch hours so be prepared to wait. The food portions are large. Generally two can easily enjoy one meal but there are so many fun items to pick from most order their own. Everything I’ve tried is good. From salads to burgers to omelets to french toast. Staff are always nice and as busy as they are they don’t rush you. The ice teas are also worth drinking.

WHAT A GEM!You know those rock crystals that, from the outside, only look like rock but inside are beautiful glittering wonders? 26 Beach is kind of like that. Unassuming outside, and the website makes it seem like they mostly have unusual hamburgers...But park (for free in the back) and go in, and you enter this little wonderland! From their front garden room that feels like its outside, to their cozy inner sanctum with a gold striped ceiling and gold polka dot walls. The place is warm and charming.And so is the staff! We were greeted instantly and told we could sit wherever we wanted, which was nice. We first opted for the garden room because it was bright, but there was a bridal shower party in the corner that was louder than LAX, so we moved to the smaller room and its super comfortable booths. It was quite quiet.The waitress couldnt have been friendlier or more delightful. I asked if the BBQ chicken was spicy, and she said, Let me check, Ill be right back, then she came back with a sample of the chicken so I could decide that for myself! Im super-sensitive to spicy food and I found it spicy so I ordered the lasagna.Well, whatever happened to baby jane on a cracker--SOME OF THE BEST LASAGNA IVE EVER HAD!House made sauce, cheesy, meaty (very high quality), and huge! So big I could only eat about a third of it and took the rest home for two more meals (its heavenly reheated, too!) It came with a creamy Caesar salad.My friend had a California Roll sushi burger, which sounds odd but he said was delicious! The fries were perfect, too.If youre in the area you definitely want to eat here... and if youre not in the area, its worth going out of your way for!

Great food, though a bit heavy. Service is always good, even if a bit slow. Can get crazy for brunch and date night. Portion sizes can also be ridiculous, so dont be surprised if you end up with takeout. Limited parking, so use the valet unless you know your way around the back streets. The burgers here lived up to the hype, the interior very cute and unique. It only gets four stars, however, because of the lackluster service quality.We arrived here and noticed multiple unused tables. Additionally, there was no host in sight. We ended up having to wait a good several minutes before even getting a host to come to the front. When they finally added us to the list, we had to wait another half hour or so before we were seated, despite seeing multiple tables that were empty. We werent the only ones frustrated, as we noticed a few other people complaining to the host about the wait times and not being seated.Once seated, the service continued to disappoint. It was slow and inefficient. We finally had our order taken after sitting for several minutes, and then it took a similarly long period of time to have the food brought out to us.The experience did finally improve after we received our food, as the food itself was actually very appetizing and delicious. I ordered a burger, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Definitely on my list for favorite burgers that Ive ever had now. I also found the cranberry mimosa to be a pleasure, and I liked the green smoothie that my boyfriend ordered as well!The interior was also very cute! It had a bit of an eclectic and unique vibe to it, with a dining area that had comfortable booths, and another area that was very colorfully decorated and aesthetic! Very fun and cute!While I was certainly very pleased with the food itself here, I was very frustrated with my service experience. It really put me off. I may come back some time, but its definitely not on the top of my list.

My friend told me about this place. And how good the burgers are. So I cant tell you how disappointed I am that my friend and I ordered a burger at the same time rare or medium-rare. And his came out perfectly medium-rare and my came out burnt. I dont know how something like that can happen. So probably wont be going back again. My husband and I travel full time in our RV and have stopped in the L.A. area twice now. Both times we have been in the area we have eaten at 26 Beach Cafe. What a fun place! 5 stars for 26 Beach! Called in an order and the young lady on the other end was so pleasant. It’s always surprising when you call into a restaurant during busy dinner hour and the staff still gives you their patience, attention, and kindness. My Husband ordered the Yuki’s Spicy Tuna Hamburger and all I could say was OMG. Total umami and fresh tuna that was to die for. I ordered the Date Hamburger which was a delightful mix of sweet and salty. Crispy bacon, tangy goat cheese, sweet dates and honey. Great quality ingredients, cooked perfectly medium, and the burgers were huge! The fries were so good! Even after a 10 minute walk back to the hotel they were still so crispy crunchy and hot. They offered us a discount during these times as a way to give back to their community and customers. We were so glad we chose 26 Beach and it’s definitely a place we will return to!

The chipotle chicken pasta was to spicy it tasted and looked more like a noodle soup than pasta.I would recommend.. but its just not my kind of joint.

First time coming here. I’ve probably driven past this place 1000 times and finally got the chance to try it! Staff is friendly. Went in on a Friday around 7pm and it was surprisingly quite, which was awesome. Alcohol drinks/ food were fairly priced and I highly recommend the food, only tried the buffalo chicken sandwich & the maytag burger; however, both were very very good.

Very cute place!! The menu has soooo many different options which was unexpected. The setting is very cute and cheeky. The roof is like netting so you can see the sky which was a plus. The only downside was that since it is such a cute place is that the waiting time is but long, the space inside is a bit tight as well.
