Ive been a student at 10th planet redlands going on close to 3 years now . This gym has been like home and starting my jiu jitsu journey has been life changing . Rick has been a great instructor and all the people here are welcoming and friendly. As someone who has 11+ years training in martial arts I can say Ive enjoyed training here the most.Rick is a 3rd degree black belt under master Eddie Bravo and has many years of jiu jitsu experience under his belt. I train here with people from all walks of life and they treat you like family.

As a lifelong martial arts practitioner (TKD, Shotokan), I gave it up when I went off to college (I experimented with and some Judo and even Kendo in college).Almost 20 years removed from any sort of martial arts training, I was worried about taking it up again — this time at a much older age, and with a much more physical art than others. Everyone here is great and willing to help the newer people learn. The gym itself is brand new (opened mid-2018), so the gym is very clean and well-kept. Rick is a great instructor with the lineage and credentials to help you start your jiu-jitsu journey.They also offer Muay Thai classes if youre interested in working on your striking -- and Wrestling, to help augment your jiu-jitsu. More traditional gym-type Health/fitness classes like MMA cardio are offered as well. They also have kids classes. Classes are offered in the morning and evening, so itll be easy to find one that fits your schedule.

Coach Rick,Tony,and,Sean are great instructors who expertly teache thier students regardless of thier skill level. 10th planet is a great school for people who want to learn Jiu-Jitsu,Wrestling,and,Muy Thai. Ive been to fight schools in the past where the staff,and,students were unwelcoming. However,that isnt the case here.Everyone is welcoming.

Rick is a knowledgeable and passionate instructor. The gym has a great atmosphere and is always welcoming. As a BJJ black belt i always learn something new when i visit 10th planet Redlands. Id highly recommend it to any new or experienced grapplers.

Me and my family (4 of us) have been training Jiu-Jitsu here since the gym first opened, we came in with NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL and we have learned so much! Rick has been helping us learn and develop, he has been very patient and encouraging with us and is a great teacher! There is no one I would rather learn from then Rick Marshall! It is a great environment to learn, everyone helps each other. This is definitely a great spot to learn no matter your age or experience! Come check it out! 10th Planet Redlands!

I’ve been training at 10th planet Redlands since it opened and I love it, Coach Rick is a great instructor, he has been patient with me and helped in my Jiu Jitsu journey. A couple months after I started I enrolled my daughter also and she loves it’s too.

Coach Rick Marshall is awesome! So glad I found this school, good vibes all around. They also offer wrestling and kickboxing. All the coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been coming here for six months and my only regret is not coming sooner.

Best bjj gym I have ever gone too. I have learned so much and continue to grow daily. Rick is an amazing instructor and has always been welcoming. I felt I belonged right away. Plenty of Guys here to roll with and the playlists is always on point.

Coach Rick is such a great coach and teacher! He takes his time to explain everything and if youre still not getting it he will take his time to make sure you understand it. Ive been to several 10th planet gyms and this one has a great environment, everyone gets along, and the team is always there to help. There is a great variety of classes too. Ive been coming here since a few months after it opened. Coach Rick and the team even helped me prepare for my first tournament to bring home a gold medal. Couldnt have asked for a better group of people to be with on this jiu jifsu journey!

Best experience I have had during my time training Jiu Jitsu. Not just based on other Jiu Jitsu schools, but even the many other 10th Planet Schools I have trained at. A very relaxed situation where you are allowed to go 100% or even keep it easy when you feel that is what your body needs. You are always monitored so your progress though the ranks never goes unnoticed.

Rick is a fantastic coach. The gym culture promotes fun, improvement, and if you are seeking it, rigorous competition. As l someone who attends another gym, and pays dues elsewear I have always been welcomed on Saturday open matt.TLDR:1.Got sat on by a thicc boy2 Outclassed by a 15 year old3. Beat up by a mom10/10

Great environment to learn martial arts, self defense or just to get into shape. The instructor Rick Marshall is a legit black belt and has a tremendous amount of knowledge. I highly recommend going down and trying a class!

A buddy used to privately train me at home, and suggested I should train here too. Coming here boosted my confidence. Everyone is polite. They let us roll lightly to 100%. Rick is informative, gives individual attention, and patience to everyone. You feel welcomed here. I recommend anyone to stop by to experience it themselves. Youll learn a lot.

I started training at 10th Planet Redlands in September of 2019, and expected it to only be BJJ. However, they also offer classes for wrestling and kickboxing - usually right after BJJ . It’s a nice training facility and great for self defense as you can learn a variety of martial arts. The instructors for each art are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. At first, I was intimidated to start training, but quickly realized that safety is one of the top priorities of the gym. The instructors and students are very welcoming, and are willing to teach without hesitation. Whether you’re looking for self defense, or to simply work out and have fun, 10th Planet in Redlands is an awesome place to do so.

Every time I come home to visit family I make sure and stop by and get some rolls in. The gym is always full of great training partners, it’s clean with great mats and the music is always excellent. I always leave with some great wrestling moves from their in-house wrestling coach, Sean. Definitely the best no gi gym in town!

Was in town on business for a few days in San Bernardino and needed a place to train. 10th Planet Redlands was everything i needed plus more. Rick’s great instruction and freindly demeanor creates such a positive environment to train in, its honestly addictive. Everyone there is knowledgeable and fun to roll with. I can’t recommend this place enough for anybody looking to learn some self defense or sharpen their grappling skill.. shoot they even have a muay thai class. 🙌🏻 Thanks once again guys.

Rick Marshall is a a high level grappler and great teacher. He has trained with the top minds in grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu including Eddie Bravo, Jean Jacques Machado, Gokor, and the Mendez Bros. He is a great communicator and technician. Highly recommend

Ive been training here for almost a year now and in all honesty I wouldnt want to go anywhere else, the people here are great and always helpful. No one is cranking on submissions or trying to hurt each other which is what you want and everyone is doing what they can to help each other improve and grow to their fullest potential.
