2024-06-19 05:06:19We did corkscrewed and crematorium. I feel as if this location has weaker themeing than the thousand oaks location. The puzzles themselves are good, but the size of crematorium makes it seem a bit small and uncomplicated. The rooms just dont feel like im in a crematorium. It has a decent room transition, but the 2 rooms are very small. We finished it in about 35 minutes so it never got hot for us. 5/10Corkscrewed is pretty cool, much better than crematorium. The first key made me feel a bit let down in how it is hidden, and a few broken props still had their remainders left( like solid glue in a random spot), but other than that it felt rewarding. Plenty of mechanical triggers and a really cool unconventional puzzle in a bottle. 7/10As a side note, we have done 2 puzzles at the TO mall location. And feel the builder has gotten much better as he goes. We still enjoyed our time here and will eventually do the rest of the rooms here Im sure. A little clean up would go along way.As an aside the owner is usually on site and is very easy to talk to. You can tell how proud he is of his puzzles. You wont regret coming here for a party.

2024-06-02 23:27:57This was a great experience start to finish. I had to call to ask a few questions, and they were so helpful. I was organizing this for a bunch of early adolescent boys, and it was stressful for me, but 101 Escape Rooms made it super easy. And the boys had a blast. Thank you!

2024-04-07 16:03:36Not a very good escape room. Too many cumulative clues all happening at the same time. Was very confusing to say the least. Only one room too so everyone tripping over each other (and we were only 4 people) finding different clues in unison, a jumble of letters and numbers not sure what to use where. Ended up being able to solve with a little help being needed because of all the confusion, and despite missing 2 or 3 different clues never being solved. That shouldn’t happen in an escape room. We’ve done a few escape rooms at different places, and they’re usually a bit more professional and experiential and ‘much more linear. Very dark too until we started clicking all the buttons on the board and found a strip of LED lights that gave us some light and a sigh of relief that we could finally see. This place was being run by 4 or 5 teenagers when we were there, who were all polite but not the experience we were expecting especially for almost $40 per person. Most escape rooms take your picture at the end for a lasting memory, this place the bunch of kids running it were all hanging out in the camera room (with the door open for us to see in) mostly ignoring us until we left. We did not enjoy it, and it’s unfortunate because we were there for my son’s birthday. We asked if we could get a discount if we do a second one because it was my sons birthday and we wanted a better experience and one of the teens answered “sorry we’re already the cheapest escape rooms in the area so we don’t do that”. Great, didn’t make a big deal about it, just left. No photo offered. Recommendation is to go somewhere else for your escape room experience. There are good escape room businesses in Reseda and Downtown LA we have done. Find those and go there.

2024-05-20 00:50:30First escape room Ive done so I cant compare it to others but the staff that gave hints, explained the instructions, ect. Were very nice and polite. Overall, the puzzles were good, not too challenging yet still engaging (at least in the cave room).

2023-11-18 17:13:40We had so much fun last night solving the Crematorium game. The puzzles were fun and we really liked the coffin feature. The only thing we would recommend would be to increase the lighting a little bit in the first room. Otherwise we absolutely loved it.

2024-05-04 22:19:57This was our first time. We went with 5 people, 4 adults and a child (10). We did two rooms. We had such an awesome time. It was just as fun as I hoped it would be. We can’t wait to go back. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.

2024-05-27 01:53:09I decided to spend my 20th birthday here and oh my GOD it was so much fun. i have to hand it to the staff and David (the owner i believe) because i have a friend whos blind and i wanted her to be able to have a good time with the rest of us and he actively worked with me to figure out how best to include her on it. he recommended the starship libra room because it had audio clues and even went so far as to send me one of the documents used in the room and let me translate it into braille!!! (he offered to do it actually but i have an aunt who does braille translations anyway lol). just really a great time and my group made it out in under 45 mins with 3 clues! not too hard but not easy either, also the whole place was big enough and laid out for my wheelchair to fit as well which is worth mentioning! okay thats all just wanted to let ppl know this is a great place 💛

2024-01-31 20:32:51We had a fantastic time at 101 Escape rooms. My work team split into 3 groups and raced to solve three different rooms. The puzzles were challenging but fun and the staff was really great. I highly recommend 101 Escape Rooms for a fun (and a little competitive) team building event!

2024-06-05 00:45:43Employee voices in the intercom were way too quiet! The volume of pre-recorded videos were not loud enough. One male employee seemed annoyed when we asked for a clue!
